Take a look at your cupboard and you will definitely find few simple kitchen ingredients that can be used as natural anxiety remedies.
• Look for almonds. What you need to do is to soak the almonds in water overnight so that you can easily peel off the skin the next morning. Now put these nuts into the grinder alongside a cup of warm milk, a pinch of ginger and nutmeg. Drink this just before you go to sleep next time.

• Did you know that baking soda too can be used in order to relax your body? Just add 1/3 cup of the baking soda and another 1/3 cup of ginger to your warm bath. Soak in your prepared tub for at least 15 minutes to say goodbye to tensions and stress.
For the longest time, this herb has been used as a folk remedy. The promise of this herb did not go unnoticed since right now the herb is being subjected to a number of tests. And these tests are conducted to check the efficacy of the herb against anxiety. In one study, it was found out that the effects of the passion flower are similar to the benzodiazepine drugs. On that same study, it was found out as well that the persons who have taken the herb did perform well, and they experience less drowsiness. There are side effects that can be expected when this herb is used for anxiety. You may experience nausea, vomiting and drowsiness. In some cases, you may also experience rapid heartbeat. The effectiveness of the herb is still under review though, and most of these studies center on the safety issues.

Dealing with anxiety, no matter how deep, is never an easy task. Fortunately (or unfortunately) millions of people suffer from anxity problems, which has led to a variety of successful treatments and methods to overcome on your own. Feeling anxious, especially chronically, is socially and mentally crippling. Getting over it is difficult and can take years to come to a long term solution. But with any method of overcoming anxiety, there are no guarantees. Success depends on your willingness to progress and find a better tomorrow.

Many people who have anxiety problems seek out medication and and therapy to overcome their issue. Many of the medications given to those who are looking for help with their problem are antidepressants. This is to combat the anxity itself and the depression that may come with it. More times than not, extreme cases of anxiety are coupled with depression and it's better to cover them both before it gets out of hand.

However; it's also possible to go head to head with your anxiety on your own, though it is much more difficult. Some people think it's impossible to get rid of their anxiousness without some sort of professional assistance, but it is very possible and several ex-sufferers can attest to that.

The main issue with dealing with extreme anxity or panic on your own is the fact that you must take it upon yourself to push those irrational feelings of fear down and go through experiences that you never would have before. Being anxious is, for the most part, due to misconceptions or an exagerrated perception of things. More times than not, those who experience panic attacks on a regular basis have them over things that are trivial to most people, meaning that it is possible to overcome.

It's hard to take a lifetime of fear and turn it into something else, but that is what anyone who is facing their anxity must do. It's all too easy to sit back and let it control how you run your daily life. Why suffer through it when you could be feeling that same way while getting better? It makes sense to try to overcome it and not to sit idly while life goes by without you. Anxiety is not a solid stone block in the road. Treat it as a learning experience while you are going through recovery and you will come out much happier and more the wiser.

Treat anxiety naturally - It is about time to open your refrigerator

Your refrigerator can be a treasure trove when it comes to anxiety natural remedies that can help your body rest and relax.
The most common essential oils that are used for anxiety and to relieve nervous tensions are lavender, melissa, neroli, rose, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, bergamot, cypress, geranium and jasmine. Immense panic is most commonly associated with agoraphobia, which is a wide spread disorder.

Those with agoraphobia are extremely nervous about going into environments where they have little to no control. Some common characters if a places where they feel they have no control could be places where it could be difficult to get assistance, closed spaces, and even open spaces. But those are just the most common and simple characters of a space that could make someone with agoraphobia have a panic attack.

But panic is not always associated with attacks or disorders. Anyone can feel a sense of panic, even over small things. Someone experiencing any form of panic can feel a loss of breath, sweaty palms, hot flashes, heart palpitations, dizziness, sweating, nausea, and even shaking. Not all of these symptoms appear at once, and some people never feel them at all -- but they are all signs of panic.

Panic can be caused by phobias, hereditary panic disorders, anxiety disorders, being unsure, certain medications, withdrawals from an addictive substance, and even some cardiac conditions. The list can go on and on, and some of the things are more mental than physical. But no matter who feels panicked, it always feels awful.

Frequent panic attacks can be treated with antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications. But if someone has frequent, recurring panic attacks seeking psychiatric help beyond medications may be a good idea.

Having frequent bouts can lead to serious medical problems.

It's been found out recently that menopausal women are more likely to suffer a stroke or a heart attack if they frequently experience extreme bouts of panic.

When someone is put into a situation that makes them extremely anxious, their body gives way to the fight or flight response. Those who are not prone to anxiety problems are more likely to pick fight, while those who do exhibit symptoms of a panic of anxiety disorder will unwillingly decide on flight. The problem is, this flight response can completely lock a person up mentally and be entirely detrimental to every aspect of daily life.

If you are suffering from frequent panic attacks, see a doctor to get advice on how to reduce that crushing feeling and to get some medication to help you. Millions of people around the world have a panic disorder, and it is nothing to be ashamed of.

Anxiety Natural Remedies Vs. Antidepressants

Imagine the next time you join a discussion about anxiety natural remedies. When you start sharing the fascinating anxiety natural remedies facts below, your friends will be absolutely amazed.

I trust that what you've read so far has been informative. The following section should go a long way toward clearing up any uncertainty that may remain.

It seems as though there is an unwritten law that says whenever a person has anxiety or panic attacks that the only way to resolve these issues is through a doctor and prescribing medications. The truth about treatment, anxiety, natural remedies and medications is the focus of this article, but there are much better alternatives which will be discussed here as well.

These day it seems as though there is an unwritten law that when a person experiences anxiety or panic attacks they need medical attention and medication. There seems to be a pill for everything now and its only a matter of time when they will offer a pill for helping those who are taking too many pills!

Whenever a person with anxiety issues goes to see a psychiatrist they will inevitably be subjected to the newest anti-depressant medication on the market. Whatever the popular medication is and what seems to have an overall immediate calming affect. This method almost always ends badly.

This usually ends in dependence on the anti-anxiety medication. At first things will seem great. The number of attacks will be reduced as well as the intensity. However this is only temporary. This method does not provide any power over the condition. It takes the power away from the person and places it in the hands of the pharmacy and the doctor.

While in some cases this may be beneficial in most cases its not. In the majority of cases it only delays anxious and panicked emotions by pressing them down. They will eventually build up inside the patient and become strong enough to over power the medication. Tolerance to the medication also builds over time. Which is why when it comes to anxiety natural remedies are the best solution.

Sooner or later the time will come when you cannot get the medication or they will not work as well as they once did. When this happens it becomes clear to the person on the medication that this is only a temporary fix. Eventually you will no longer wish to be controlled by the drugs. The tolerance to the drugs ultimately become problematic in and of themselves.

They bring on a type of fear and panic that is a lot more intense and overpowering than your previous experiences with anxiety. There are much better alternatives available. Not only are these alternative options better, healthier, and less expensive they are also permanent.

Beyond all those benefits there is one more that is dominant and very important. The power of your fear and anxiety comes from within, and that is where the solution is waiting. These methods that treat your anxiety with natural remedies give the power to you. You become the one with the control. Which is where it belongs, because sooner or later you will have to face this and overcome it. You can do it and it is a lot less difficult than you might think.

Now that wasn't hard at all, was it? And you've earned a wealth of knowledge, just from taking some time to study an expert's word on anxiety natural remedies.

Social Disorder Anxiety Treatment: Too Difficult for Comfort

Social anxiety disorder (also known as social phobia) affects over 19 million people in the United States alone, and they are from every walk of life possible. The disorder can negatively affect every aspect of a person's life -- from just going into a grocery story to walking down the street -- it depends on the severity of the case. The feeling it gives is so oppressive to the person suffering, many who have it are depressed and driven to alcoholism to cope with the anxiety of being around people they don't know. But there is a social anxiety disorder treatment out there for anyone suffering from social phobia, but taking the steps to be successfully treated is difficult.

The past 25 years have given way for those affected by social anxiety disorder to break free from its shackles. Before the 80's, those who exhibited antisocial or phobic behavior were simply considered strange or shy, and no special attention was given to them in the field of psychology.

These days social anxiety disorder (social phobia) is recognized as a mental disorder and there are effective treatments available. But for many, getting free of social phobia can be harder than curing depression, which is often the method many professionals choose to help social phobia.

Many people are simply prescribed antidepressants and sent on their way, which can be an effective social anxiety disorder treatment. But while the medication does make you feel better, it does not help you get over the hurdles that interacting with people presents.

Regularly going into public places on your own is the best thing you can do for yourself. Going out with someone you know can stand as a crutch, but getting yourself into situations that are not within your comfort zone is the best treatment besides medication that you can use.

Having social anxiety disorder on its own is difficult, but actively attempting to shake it off is often more difficult than living with it. It's difficult to face the things that are frightening to you, but after you have kicked the fear to the curb, the whole ordeal will be a thing of the past.

At the heart, social phobia is an anxiety disorder. Many people lose track of that since the name (social anxiety disorder) is fairly long. But any social anxiety disorder treatment is essentially the same as treatment for any other anxiety disorder, and that in itself should give some who are suffering comfort.

Getting Depression Help for Your Loved Ones

Millions of people worldwide silently cry out for depression help each year. Depression can turn an otherwise cheerful, optimistic, and friendly individual into someone who is unhappy, irrational, and self-destructive. Often someone who is depressed either refuses to seek help or will hint at in in very small ways. If you think someone you love or are close to feels depressed, take it upon yourself to edge them towards a happy and healthier life.

It's usually obvious when someone you care about is suffering on the inside, but some people will go out of their way to mask that pain and hopelessness they are feeling.

those suffering from depression can seem listless, lethargic, easily upset, tired, quiet, and even angry. It's not always easy to spot someone who needs help, but paying attention to their actions -- especially if they seem strange or out of character -- can tell you a lot about how they're feeling.

Giving someone depression help can be as simple as sitting down and talking to them, but more often than not it's as difficult as interactively taking a part in helping them find psychiatric help. And while they may not seem to appreciate it right away, they will in the long run.

Depression is most often treated through a combination of medication (antidepressants) and therapy. The antidepressants are meant to quell the uncontrollable negative feelings, whole the therapy is meant to search out what has caused them to well up and feel the way they do. The reason varies greatly person by person, but with enough therapy it can be uncovered.

It's important to encourage the person you care about who you are giving depression help. Someone with depression can be easily sent into a downward spiral, and the last thing you want to do is to hurt them even more. Encourage them and put a positive spin on the things going on in their lives. A few kind words can make anyone feel better, especially those who feel helpless or alone.

Just be sure that they are really depressed. Sometimes depression can easily be confused with a bad spell or stress. Asking a lot of questions and keeping your eyes and ears open are your best methods of determining whether your loved one is suffering from depression or not.

If you are 100% sure they need depression help, sit them down and talk to them about what is going on with their lives. Sometimes giving someone you love who is depressed a little extra attention can make them feel that much better.

What are the Symptoms of Severe Anxiety?

Anxiety is a normal response to the everyday stress and worry of living on planet earth. It’s normal to worry about your kids getting home safely from school.

You’re at work when they get out of school and even though they only have to walk a block or two to get home, you’re still concerned until that phone rings and you hear your son’s voice saying, “Hi Mom, I made it home. Where’s the snacks?”

Sometimes though, a parent can take it too far and become obsessed with the idea that something horrible is going to happen to their child. As they meditate on these fears, their heart rate increases until they can feel it pounding in their chest. This parent may begin to feel sick at their stomach and start to sweat.

Very simply put, when we allow our minds to become obsessed with some fear or worry, our bodies go into the “Fight or Flight” response. This means that your body begins to produce enough adrenaline for you to fight off your enemy or run away from him. Since in reality there is no enemy and the problem is mostly in your own mind, this production of excessive adrenaline increases your heart rate and makes you feel sick.

Why do some people move past the “normal worry” stage into the “obsessed” category? Research shows that some sufferers may have a genetic predisposition toward obsessive worry and fear. Other research indicates that two chemicals in the brain, serotonin and norepinephrine, may be linked to this condition, as well as to other anxiety disorders and depression.

Below are the major symptoms of severe anxiety disorder:
• Rapid or irregular heart beat. Some sufferers can actually see their hearts beating in their chests.
• Trembling or shaking
• Sweating
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Nausea or vomiting
• Dizziness
• Abdominal Pain and discomfort

What To Do if Experience Symptoms of Severe Anxiety?
Counseling may seem a good idea, so you can get to bottom of these unrealistic fears and see what their root cause is.

Available treatment options for anxiety attacks and panic attacks

Considered as part of the list of the most common health issues that affects adults 18 years and above, anxiety attacks and panic attacks are simply the body’s overt reaction to stress. When the body responds to the stress in an extreme way and the person cannot control it, then these are the time when these attacks manifest in the person. But when the body takes the stress lightly and manages it well, then anxiety will just be there as part of everyday life. This is because the anxiety is a normal reaction of your body to stress.
In fact it is the very reason why you are able to deal with day to day problems like being caught in a traffic jam, tense situations in the office or having to study with an upcoming exam. Generally, anxiety is meant to help you cope with life’s challenges however when anxiety comes to a point where in you encounter an irrational and excessive dread of every day situation that becomes anxiety attacks. Panic attacks on the other hand are sudden surges of overwhelming fear which comes without warning and without obvious or valid reasons. Panic attack is more intense than that of anxiety attack and to most people, they often termed it “stressed out”. Statistics say that 1 out of 7 people worldwide have definitely experienced panic attack at one point in their lives. If you are experiencing these attacks, do not worry yourself to death since there are treatments that you can go through.
Therapies for panic attacks
People who have been diagnosed with anxiety attacks and panic attacks are often successfully treated with anti depressants or anti anxiety medications. Sometimes it is suggested that before going through a medication with a psychiatrist or a physician, going through psychotherapy or psychoanalysis is highly recommended. Oftentimes general anxiety attacks and panic attacks can be treated with talk therapy. This is a treatment which does not hold any threat of side effects which psycho-pharmacological treatment poses. Other most common forms of treatments are as follows:
Other forms of treatment options for anxiety and panic attacks
Paper Bag Treatment – anxiety and panic attack victims and doctors would usually recommend breathing into a paper bag. This is an effective short term treatment of an acute anxiety and panic attack however you need to find out if hyperventilation is a factor in each case as this process may sometimes worsen the condition of the victim.
Cognitive Behavioral Treatment – most psychologists agree that this is the most effective treatment where in you restructure the pessimistic thinking of the victim into constructive and optimistic thoughts.
Medication – usually the most sought after type of treatment of victims it is advised to get a physician whom you will feel most comfortable with.
All these treatment options for anxiety attacks and panic attacks will work if you also do your part- and that is by accepting and acknowledging that you have it.

First Step To Overcome Anxiety on Your Own

It might seem impossible to you now, but working to overcome anxiety on your own is possible, as long as you're willing to stick to it.

Intense amounts of anxiety can be crushing, so much so that you can't figure out what to do or how to get away from it. But anxiety does not have to be a problem that follows you for the rest of your life, and you don't have to take a passive stance and let it control you instead of the other way around. You can overcome anxiety on your own, as long as you really want to.

Overcoming anxiety is about as difficult as it sounds. Everyone has their own degree of anxiety in certain situations, so the more difficult it sounds to you, the more difficult it is going to be. But no matter how hard it gets, you can summon up the courage and the willpower to tackle that problem on your own -- whether you just get anxious once in a while or every day.

The first step for you to overcome anxiety is acknowledging and accepting that your anxiety is based off of your perception of the world around you. How you see things may not be how they really are, and being able to separate reality from your own idea of what it is crucial. Once you can accept that your anxiety is simply your mind blowing things out of proportion, you can make progress.

Acting on what situations really are is much more difficult than accepting them for what they really are. Treating the things that make you anxious like they don't is going to get you a long way. The first few times almost seem impossible, but over time you can feel yourself get more comfortable with the situation. And after a while it is no longer a problem, but a controlled situation that you are able to maintain.

After some time of faking and forcing yourself to think differently, it will all come to you naturally. And only then have you overcome anxiety. And chances are, you won't even remember that you were anxious in the first place.

Overcoming Anxiety - An Insight to the main 2 schools of thought

There are two major schools of thought when it comes to treating anxiety. Some sufferers see nothing wrong with taking prescribed drugs. The trouble with this approach is that it doesn’t deal with the root causes of the anxiety disorder. It only masks the symptoms.

Often anxiety disorders develop because the victim holds unhealthy outlooks toward life in general. They take a negative approach to things. They believe the worst is about to happen to them. These beliefs can often be traced back to some traumatic event earlier in life.

One of the proven methods for overcoming anxiety is counseling. Counseling can help a victim get to the bottom of their irrational fears and deal with whatever happened in their past that might have triggered the anxiety attack. Otherwise, it may be necessary to take anti-depressants for many years and while these drugs are mostly safe, they can often have severe side affects.

Drugs used for depression and anxiety disorders can also make you feel weird or unnatural. They can alter your personality.

With counseling, you can safely go back into your past and discover those root causes. Perhaps you came from a broken home where there was shouting or even violence. Maybe you were abandoned by a parent and that has left you with an unnatural fear that people will leave you.

Through counseling, we can often go back to those dark days that led us to our present state and uncover their mysteries so that we can be emotionally and mentally healthy.

Of course, your therapist may recommend anti-depressants such as Prozac while you are moving through the counseling. This can greatly relieve the stress and uneasy feelings.

Before beginning a course of counseling, your doctor may want to test you for possible physical causes, such as thyroid disease or heart problems. He will discuss with you heredity factors as these often play a part.

There are many new proven methods for overcoming anxiety. There’s no need to feel that you must suffer for the rest of your life. Feelings that you will never be well can even add to your anxiety, so it’s important to realize that there are some great cures out there and that you can be well and whole.

The Difference Between Anxiety Attack and Panic Attack

If you ask most people, they would tell you that an anxiety attack and a panic attack are the same thing. While the symptoms, causes and cures are very similar, they have a few pronounced differences. Let’s take a look at each one.

Panic Attack
Panic attacks come suddenly and have no obvious triggers. The symptoms are:
• Intense anxiety
• Fear
• Sick at your stomach
• Unable to breathe

At the onset of a panic attack, your body is flooded with a variety of hormones, especially epinephrine or adrenaline. This flood of adrenaline comes as a result of the “fight or flight” response.

Someone experiencing a panic attack often feels helpless, like they’re trapped and there’s no way out of a frightening situation. A panic attack can last from 15 seconds to 30 minutes.

Victims often say that they experience a sudden wave of fear, their heart pounds and they can’t breathe. It feels like they’re going to die. The overwhelming fear is much stronger than that of an anxiety attack and the victims feels out of control.

Anxiety Attack
Everyone gets anxious from time to time. Whether you’re running late for work or facing a big exam, it’s normal to feel anxiety. An anxiety attack on the other hand can be quite debilitating.

An Anxiety Attack can come on unexpectedly, but normally it occurs as a result of prolonged obsession over some person or event. There’s an irrational feeling of fear. You feel threatened, like there’s danger lurking. You may sweat or feel flushed. You loose control and can’t focus.

This is a chronic disorder where the victim tends to over worry about money, health, family etc. They expect disaster. There’s a gnawing fear that something awful is about to happen. Victims have trouble sleeping and often struggle with depression.

Common Cures
There is a difference between anxiety attack and panic attack, however, for both disorders, doctors often prescribe antidepressants, like Prozac, which can greatly reduce the symptoms and the severity of attacks.

Some of the natural remedies suggest participating in relaxing activities such as warm baths, reading, listening to music. The trick is to re-focus your thoughts onto something soothing. Once you return your thoughts to that “peaceful place” your symptoms subside and a calm state of mind flows.

Reduce Anxiety on The Spot

Working to reduce anxiety right when it strikes is nowhere near as hard as it seems, and you could be living life the way you want to faster than you know.

Anxiety can hit at the worst times, and sometimes it can come over you when you least expect it. Being able to spontaneously reduce anxiety is a learned skill, and you can do it with some careful practice and self-control.

If a situation comes up that gets you anxious or uncomfortable, mentally taking a step back and really thinking about where you are, and what you are doing will set you up to be able to handle what is coming your way. But over thinking will sabotage what you're trying to do completely -- quickly assessing what is around you, or what is going to be around you, and recognizing that it is not as threatening as you are perceiving it to be is the key.

It's far too easy to slip from "quickly assessing" to "over thinking," but if you don't focus on the 'what if's and instead focus on 'what is' then it will become much easier. 'What if' can only snowball into further speculations, most of them irrational. 'What is' gets rid of those speculations, and instead you feel more certain of what is going to happen and therefore, less anxious.

Thinking about something that makes you anxious beforehand isn't going to reduce anxiety, it is only going to increase it. Thinking beforehand is speculating, and when speculating on things that make you nervous, you are much more likely to emotionally exaggerate or even over-react.

If the above doesn't help, consider faking your comfort to project the image that you are confident -- sometimes that's exactly what you need to do in order to kick your anxiety. Pretend you're comfortable, pretend it's not a problem, and pretend that your anxiety is a thing of the past. Over time, it will not only reduce anxiety, it will also eliminate your anxiety, and that's the overall goal.

Types and Treatments for Anxiety Disorders

Most who have some sort of anxiety disorder now, but others aren't quite so sure. There are dozens of types of them, but what is anxiety disorder that is plaguing you?
Determining which anxiety disorder that you are suffering from could be a difficult task. Below are few common types of anxiety disorders:

Social anxiety disorder (also known as social phobia) is a fear of scrutiny or embarrassment in public. It can trigger in very specific situations -- such as meeting someone new or public speaking -- or it can be experienced in any or all social situations, making it one of the more crippling disorders.

Generalized anxiety disorder is one that is unfocused, and triggers at almost anything. It's very unspecific and hard to point out, but it is more common among older people.

Agoraphobia doesn't sound like the above from just the name, but the symptoms are no different. It is mostly triggered by being in a situation or place where "escape" could be difficult. Many of those who experience Agoraphobia are also prone to panic attacks.

If you are not sure if you have an anxiety disorder, seeking help from a psychiatrist can enlighten you on what is anxiety disorder that you have, as well as possible treatments for your problem.

What is Anxiety Disorder?

If you're wondering if you have an anxiety disorder, first you should know what is anxiety disorder. An anxiety disorder is marked by a continuous pattern of intense anxiety at specific triggers -- say, interacting with someone you don't know or going somewhere new. It's also worth mentioning that approximately 18 percent of Americans are plagued with some sort of anxiety disorder, and the percentage only grows worldwide.

Some common symptoms are sweating, headache, palpitations, muscle spasms, and even hypertension. But, each person carries their own symptoms. Even if you only have one or two symptoms when you get anxious, you could still have a disorder. Additionally, many of those who have some sort of anxiety disorder are also depressed, making for a hugely overwhelming combination.

If you're seeking more specific enlightenment on which anxiety disorder you have, consulting a psychiatrist could be what you exactly need.
