NAENAE HUTT CITY | Our Kind of Music

The Heartbeat Hutt City team asked youth from Hutt City’s suburb Naenae to present their kind of music. The teenagers came up with a whole lot of very interesting songstatements. There is a 10 minutes preview at the beginning of the show providing an overview over the playlist and the songstatements of the kids. The preview is followed by the full version of the songs. For most of the teenagers it’s been their first time ever speaking into a microphone. Well done!

Songstatements sind ein sehr gutes und einfaches Format für den Einstieg in die Podcast- und Radioarbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen. Als Songstatement bezeichnen wir die Kombination von zwei verschiedenen MP3-Audios zu einem MP3-Songstatement.

Jedes Songstatement besteht aus zwei MP3s, nämlich einem von einem Deutschlerner gesprochenen Text (erste MP3) und einem Song (zweite MP3). Der Text, also die erste MP3, wird von einem Schüler aufgenommen. Darin stellt er/sie den  ausgewählten Song, den/die Musiker sowie interessante Zusatzinformationen rund um den ausgewählten Song und dessen Interpreten vor, z.B. Tourpläne, Promitratsch etc. Diese MP3 wird später von useren Produzenten mit dem ausgewählten Song zu einem individuellen Songstatement zusammengekoppelt und auf  Wellington Access Radio gesendet.

Und so wird es gemacht:

Jeder Teilnehmer wählt einen seiner/ihrer Lieblingssongs aus und schreibt dazu eine kurze oder längere Anmoderation, so wie man sie im Radio hören würde. Zusätzlich zu der Information über die Musik und die Musiker müssen folgende Dinge darin erwähnt werden: Vorname und Schule des Sprechers und ein Shoutout für “Heartbeat.DE auf Wellington Access Radio”.

Das Manuskript der Anmoderation (inklusive Vorname, Schule und Shoutout) wird dem Deutschlehrer vorgestellt und dann mit Hilfe eines Aufnahmegerätes aufgenommen. Die meisten Mobiltelefone haben eine solche Sprachaufnahmefunktion. Die fertig aufgenommene Audiodatei wird per Email an Heartbeat.DE geschickt.

Ruth präsentiert außerdem interessante Podcasts, die die Produzenten von Heartbeat.DE in den vergangenen Jahren zusammen mit Jugendlichen aus aller Welt produziert haben. Wir hören u.a. Beiträge von der Green Bay High School in Auckland, von Deutschlernern aus Perm in Russland und vom Ravensberg in Kiel. Die Schüler aus Auckland haben u.a. ein Originalinterview mit dem Rapper Nico Suave aus Hamburg durchgeführt und spielen natürlich viel Musik!
