And, once you see it, that's all you see, and you laugh everytime you see a map of the area. What do you think? How did they get away with this? Was this really an accident?

What to do with the Pro Bowl.

As we all know, and have for years, the NFL Pro Bowl is a joke. It does not represent the game well, and now the NFL is ready to do something about it. News stories all over the place about the NFL considering canceling the NFL Pro Bowl. But, why kill it? It seems like a fun week for the fans with alot to do. Why not keep it around for us the fans to enjoy, and you, the NFL, can still make a bunch of money from advertisers, television contracts, tickets, etc, etc. I just think we need to not play a football game. We all know that these guys can play football, so why not have an all out competition to determine the best athletes. I remember a show growing up called 'The Battle of the Network Stars'. This show took actors and placed them in obstacle courses. Could you imagine how fun an event like this could be watching actual athletes competing to see who is the best of the best? I believe that this would be much more entertaining than just another football game, but one where they don't play much defense. So, what do you say NFL, Don't kill the weekend and the experience, just alter the product to appease the masses.

Prank on the Vermont Police Dept. Who is really to blame?

I found this story quite interesting. The Vermont state poilice crest was altered to have an image of a pig in it. Look close at the spots on the cow.

Now, as we all know, someone has to take the blame. Well, it turn out that Vermont has contracts with correctional facilities employing prisoners to make some print products, including the Vermont Police Crest. Of course, the investigation is underway to find out which prisoner did it. They are pointing out how much time and taxpayer money will be wasted due to the inmates prank. But, are the inmates the ones to really take the heat? They are inmates for a reason. They appearantly did something to become inmates. Were they trusted to do this task by themselves? There had to be someone watching them work. There had to be someone to give the final proof the OK to send to the printer. The printer should have given it a final view as well. Why did everyone just trust the prisoners to do the right thing. If they always did the right thing, they would not be prisoners. So how about making sure that the people who were watching the prisoners are held accountable as well. I mean, don't just pile it on the prisoners, others share guilt in this and they should own up to their lack of job performance. As far as the prank goes, well done whoever pulled this one off. Although I support the police, I always appreciate a good prank too.

people like Thaddeus Matthews are keeping equality a dream and not a reality

Equality, what does it mean? How do we get there? Who needs to do what? Unfortunately, death is the final answer to equality. Don't get me wrong, I wish no harm to anybody. Notice I said anybody, I didn't call out a race, sex, sexual orientation, etc. etc. What I mean by that is the same as saying, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". No matter what form of discrimination you talk about, the opposition is mostly on the side of the elders, that grew up in an era filled with these arguments. In today's day and age, it is up to us to leave all of that hate in the past and move forward, instead of fueling the fire of the "Woe is Me" attitude due to what happened to people in the past. Until those generation die off, we will be wading in this pool of hate. Unfortunately, my grandfather was a little racist. I am so greatful that my dad saw through the rediculousness and raised me to see people for who they are, not what they are. Which brings me to Thaddeus Matthews. In a recent interview, he dwells and dwells on the racist form of hate. Nowadays, reverse racism is more prevelant than "regular"racism", and people like Thaddeus Matthews are the ones fueling the fire.

Now, I could go on for pages and pages about the idiotic statements, the verbal diareah and the total focus on the Black/White "issue" that spews from the mouth of this person, but I won't. I will however talk about his total lack of respect for his fellow human (whether white, black, male, female, straight, gay, religious, non-religious or political affiliate). It's quite comical how he asks questions, interrupts the answer, and then gets mad because his interruption was interrupted. Then, when his interview is called off by the interviewee for the lack of respect and inability to hold a 2 sided conversation, he actually thinks that he kicked the interviewee out, when in fact, she left due to his total ignorance and inability to be a part of a conversation. He uses the terms "token negro", "sell out blacks", stupid n******* ass" and "white folk". Then he has the audacity to refuse to shake her hand because he is "scared that some of that whiteness might rub off on him." My question to you Thaddeus Matthews is, would you shake the hand of Barack Obama? Before you answer Thaddeus, remember, he is half white and was raised in a white household. Now I ask you again, would you shake the presidents hand, or are you scared that some of his white will will rub off on you. Why don't you do us a favor and shut up. Quit feeding the racism fire that we are trying to extinguish (that means put out in case you didn't understand that word, Thaddeus).

One legged wrestler. Dis-advantage, or advantage? What's your opinion?

At first glance, one would think that a wrestler with 1 leg would be at a dis-advantage, but is this really the case? If you think about it, a human leg weighs around 20 pounds. This actually gives a 1 legged wrestler a distict advantage within his weight class. That's 20 more pounds of upper body strength that a 1 legged wrestler can have. So, the question is, does a 1 legged wrestler have a dis-sdvantage? I don't think so. He is fighting within a weight class that he should not be fighting in. He should have to fight in a class 20 pounds heavier than he is to be an even matchup. So is it cheating to fight below your weight class, I believe it is. If you look at enough pictures of the Arizona State wrestler, you can plainly see that he has much more upper body strength than his opponets. Don't get me wrong, it's an incredible accomplishment, but is it really fair?

Have the NY Giants already won the Super Bowl?

So, who do you like to win the Super Bowl? Why did you make that choice? Does it really matter? Has the game already been decided? It depends on if you believe in Artificial Intelligence. The fine people at the Madden game line, had the computer play their annual Super Bowl matchup. Brady rallied his troops with 2, 4th qtr touchdowns to tie the game 24-24 late in the 4th quarter. But then, against all odds again, Eli Manning drives his team into field goal range where Lawrence Tynes nails the game winner. You might be thinking, "so what, it's only a video game.". Let me ask you. Do you believe in the Sports Illustrated curse? Do you believe in the Madden curse? Sometimes, trends have a way of staying accurate. The Madden Super Bowl simulation has been pretty accurate over the past 8 years, predicting 6 of the ast 8 Super Bowl champions. They missed last year when the Steelers beat the Packers in the simulation, we all know how that actually turned out. The only other game missed was in 2007, that's right, the last time the Patriots and the Giants met. Will history repeat itself? If you look hard enough, you can always make that a believable statement. If the Giants win, then history repeated itself again with Brady losing to Manning. If the Patriots win, then history repeated itself with another wrong Super Bowl simulation with these 2 teams involved. Does any of that matter? Probably not, but what does matter is that the NFL put on a good show this Sunday. The game needs to be competetive and entertaining, the commercials needs to make everyone talk about them, and the halftime show needs to be entertaining. I personally have given up on a trifects since the halftime show always sucks and is always overated (history repeating itself again). But I still love the halftime show. After eating and drinking party foods for an entire half without leaving my seat so I don't lose it, it takes me an entire halftime just for a bathroom break. So thank you NFL for supplying us with halftime entertainment that doesn't matter over and over again.

I thought I didn't understand fashion trends simply due to the fact that I am getting older. The more I see shorts with words on the butt, jeans so tights that you know how much change people have in their pockets, shaggy dog hair cuts (ie: Bieber), wool caps in the summer, pants worn below the ass line, etc, etc, I could go on and on. But this time I think fashion is admitting that they have no more originality by trying to push this latest fad on us.

Who in their right mind would think that this is a good look. Fashion usually tries to make people more attractive. What is attractive about seeing someone that looks like they have just dropped a fresh load in their pants. Fashion, please stop and give us a break. You don't always have to be new, especially if the new idea is stupid. Please just do us a favor, and keep making the clothes that people like, not the clothes to make a quick buck off of a stupid forced trend. We've seen it too many times, and now you have gone too far. So please fashion, give it a rest.

I was recently in a Wenis discussion (I'll admit, it sounds wierd), and the question came up, "Can you lick your wenis?". I thought, how hard could this be? Turns out, it's quite difficult. After trying for about 30 seconds, I started to wonder why anyone would want to lick their wenis, but, different strokes for different folks. I do however have alot of fun asking people about their wenis, or tell a lady she has a nice wenis. You should give it a try, the reaction alone is priceless, and you will at least give someone the gift of laughter. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go play with my wenis.

If you were asked, who is Robert Hegyes, you would probably say "I'm not sure". But if you were asked, do you remember Epstein from Welcome Back Kotter, you would probably say "Hell yea". It is sad to say that Epstein has left us at age 60. While Robert played many roles and appeared on many different shows, he will always be remembered as Epstein. If you are not familiar with the show or the character, that is your loss. You should try to catch the re-runs or find some DVD's. You too will then realize the greatness of the show and you too will be sad for the loss of Epstein.

America The Bully. How do we teach the kids the opposite of what our country does

You see it more and more. News stories about bullies in schools. Stories about the kids that are being bullied in school. Sadly, some of these stories end tragically and will affect people for the rest of their lives. There is a big push to stop the bullying. Newspaper ads, TV Commercials, TV Shows and movies have all been made about this issue. Yet, it still seems to happen. In my opinion, America's attempt to try to stop bullying, would make as much sense as an American campaign to stop freedom. Let's go back a little bit, to a time where there was no America. I'm trying to look at the "American Values" to see how we earned this land and developed this country on honesty and fair practice. But wait, that's not how we got this land is it? What it all boils down to is that we bullied our way onto this land. All of the sudden, there is a realization. (If we take on people forcefully and win, we get what we want and people will leave us alone). I ask you, Is that a statement of a super power country, or a grade school bully.

PS. I am an American. I'm proud to be an American. That doesn't mean that I have to be proud of the errors that America has made in the past (And there are many of them). As an American, I just live my life for equality and try to practice that every day. I think there are actually about 1% of us that feel that way. 99% of us will say we are that way, but when push comes to shove, it's really about 1%. Country, Religion, Sex, Race, etc. etc. Do you think we'll ever be able to actually coexist peacefully?

So what does proof of insurance mean to the police?

It seems to me that our view of the police officer changes as we grow older. When we are young, they are our heroes. We are taught to trust the police man and go to him if there is ever any trouble. Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing to teach to children. They need to know who is supposed to protect them in times of danger. But as we get older, it seems like the police aren't there to protect us, but serve us with unsubstantiated traffic tickets. I live in a big city and drive about 2 hours per day. I see all kinds of crazy driving. People speeding, weaving in and out of lanes, riding peoples bumpers, putting on make-up, reading the news paper, etc. etc. Seeing those things is just something that we have to deal with and be on the defensive when we are behind the wheel. But to see and avoid these things on a daily basis, and then get pulled over because of an inspection sticker is rediculous. I recently had an out of date inspection sticker on my car (I'll take the blame for that). But while pulling to the side of the road when the officer was pulling me over, I almost got hit twice by speeders. I finally get to the side of the road and the officer tells me that he pulled me over for an expired inspection sticker. He then proceeded to ask for my license and proof of insurance. In the state that I live, the police real time information on your insurance at their fingertips and can tow your car if it is uninsured. I hand the officer my information and he tells me that my insurance is expired. I had renewed it earlier that week, I always keep my car insured to avoid the stipud harrassment that goes along with not having it in this state. I told the officer that I had just renewed and that I forgot to print out the new card form my e-mail. I then offered to show the officer my proof of insurance through my e-mail confirmation from my insurance company. He dinied me this right. He said that is has to be printed out. WHAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS? I get a ticket if an e-mail is not printed out, but the actual e-mail is not valid? What a joke. I know that the police would have you belive that they don't have ticket quotas, but this could be nothing further from the truth. My neighborhood hires police that are off duty to monitor the neighborhood. These officers patrol the neighborhood and sit in culdesacs for hours on end loooking for sticker tickets (expired registration, expired inspections). Since I moved to this neighborhood, I have seen multiple after school fights and one appearant gang fight. Police didn't how up to any of those scenes until hours after the incident, even though there was an officer in the neighborhood. I have heard numerous stories from people in my neighborhood that have been pulled over, ticketed or just harrassed by these officers. It's really sad the see this bitter taste in the neighborhood and city towards our local police force. The funny thing is that when I was at the courts, taking care of this unsubstantiated ticket, I asked them about the proof of insurance policy. The stories that i heard from the court clerks shocked me. I'm not going to share all of those stories, there are too many of them. All I know is that even the clerks and judges at the courthouses are upset with the police in this town. They are making their jobs harder and overcrowding the courts. But I guess in this day of Corporate America, cities are now not a place to live, but a business. It's all about money revenue. If you break down on the highway here, they are watching you. If you don't get your car removed within 30 minutes, a tow truck will come to you. This is not any tow truck that you can call, but a city authorized tow truck to remove the car from the side of the road. These are the only tow trucks that can work the highways in this city. They will offer to tow your car to the nearest gas station for $50.00, or they will tow it to the impound yard, where the prices go up dramatically. All in an attempt to generate revenue. I guess in this day and age, we can't escape the need for money and greed, since this country is founded on it. Now, we just have to hang on for the ride and hope that our lives don't get in the way of the city making money. Oh, I wish I could live in a time before economy. We could all work together for one goal and live a happy life. No economic walls keeping us from talking to people in other economic demographics. No one person working for profit. All of us working for each other to make a happy world. Is it just me or does that sound too simple?

We recently had an incident of a child taking a diet A&W root beer to school. The school rules are that they are not allowed to bring drinks from home that contain sugar or caffine. If you read the label, it clearly states no sugar and no caffine. That's the beaty of the beverage. But the school deemed it to be unhealthy. I was competely floored when I heard this. The school claims this drink unhealthy. The same school that I go to have lunch with my child and bring him a McDonalds Happy Meal with no opposition. The same school that I go to have lunch with my child and bring him burritos and cheese rolls from Taco Bell with no opposition. But, a DIET A&W Root Beer is deemed unhealthy. I'm not sure what to think or what to say at this point. If our educators don't have enough common sense to read a label and strictly make snap decisions, what are they teaching the children. I think I need some time to really think about this one. Should I take it to the school, or just let it go?

Like many of these speeches, it was very well written. With Obama, as always, it was very well read. But what does it really mean? Are we always supposed to come away from these speeches feeling all peachy and like everything is going to be okay beacause he said it was? He talked about all good things, not many bad things. That must mean we are going to be fine right? Whether it is a republican or a democrat giving that speech, it doesn't really matter. It's really nothing more than a Pep-Rally to get the team motivated to get back out on the field and go win the big game. It seems to us that the main thing that stands in the way of our success is the government trying to get their hands on too many things due to nothing more than greed. Old habbits die hard. D.C. has run that way for years and will for years to come. So it really does boil down to us uniting together and somehow getting this country back to about us, and less about corporate profit and political gain.

It's our opinion that all of the technology that is supposed to bring us all together, is actually tearing us apart. More and more, we have the ability to text, e-mail, tweet, etc. etc. Taking more time away from us being able to actually talk to each other. Remember the days of no cell phones, no computers, no satellite TV, no cable....? To todays youth, it sounds so boring, but it was quite the opposite. We had to go outside if you wanted to have any fun. And it was assumed safe to go outside. You could leave your house in the morning, and come back home well after dark. There were no Amber alerts, because the worry wasn't there. Not to say that these things didn't happen, we know that they did. Everybody thinks that today it is so much more dangerous than it was back in our day. Is that really the case? Have the numbers proven that these cases are more and more per capita each year, or has the ability of technology to spread the news fast and world wide, just put in our face more? The most depressing show on any channel is the news. They just shove the worst information at you that they can. Over and over are news stories of horrific events (robberies, theft, violence,bankruptcy, foreclosures, company closures, etc, etc). The bigger the shock, the bigger the audience, the bigger the audience, the bigger the paychecks. Has this media blitz really helped us come together, or made us more weary of everyone that we encounter in our day to day lives, making it almost impossible to live as a society, much less a community. You used to be able to leave your doors and windows unlocked, garage doors open, lawn equipment out, etc. etc. But nowadays, we have everything on lock down, cause there's a fear in us that we will be victimized if we don't. There's a difference between being careful and being sheltered. Why don't we get out and do things in the neighborhoods with our neighbors anymore. Less and less do you see kids playing sports. It's still there, but less and less, cause they are inside playing video games, or facebooking, or tweeting, etc. etc. We need to make sure that we take time each day to actually try to speak to the people that we text or e-mail. Bring the personal bond back to a reality, and stop being fearful of each other. We hope you leave your opinion, we love to hear your thoughts. We will be back later, but for now, we are going out to enjoy the day. We better make sure we have my smart phones.

Joe Paterno and the reaction to his recent passing. What's your opinion? Here's ours:

The recent passing of Joe Paterno has caused mixed reaction, not only in the football world, but with anyone who has heard of the recent events and the university. On one side, there are people mourning the loss of one of the greatest collegiate football coaches of all times. On the other, you have the people that are focused on the recent events associated with him and the university. I think that both sides have valid arguments, but there are lines, and once again they get crossed. What it boils down to is that we all have our own opinions of the late Joe Paterno, and each of us have that right. But the line gets crossed when you start to judge others for having different opinions than yours. If you are big enough to make a statement and stand behind that statement, then you should be big enough to understand that others have that same passion, but for the opposite cause, and should be respected for their opinion. Basically, if you have the right to dish it out, just be prepared to take it too. Right now, there is a family mourning, there is a university mourning, there is a town morning and there is a country mourning his loss.   We should show the same respect for the family that we would want for ours during a time like this. I know that they are under the spotlight, and the national media will do what ever they need to get the highest rated story, whether it be compassionate, or crossing the line to be shocking.  Would you want that if your husband, father, grandfather, etc. etc. had just passed. So chill out everyone, and pay the family some your respects with your silence.
