Review: Momento Mori by Flyleaf

By Tim Gibbons Memento Mori, the highly-anticipated sequel to Flyleaf's 2005 self-titled debut, was well worth the four year wait. The Texas-based quintet returns with more mature lyrics, pulse pounding music and a well-defined message. Memento Mori also delivers the same intensity of Flyleaf while standing out as clear improvement for the band as a whole.

Review: Hello Hurricane by Switchfoot

By Brian Senecal For three long years a storm has been building on the horizon. Changes in the atmosphere have taken place - a new in-home studio, a new label, and a return to a sense of purpose. Hello Hurricane, the seventh studio album from the San Diego quintet Switchfoot, clearly shows the effects of those changes. “We built our own studio so we wouldn’t be paying and playing by the hour,” says frontman Jon Foreman. Prepare for a musical storm.

Review: Lose Your Cool by Zach Hunter

By Patti Gibbons Filled with character portraits sharing stories of determined, sold-out living, Zach Hunter's Lose Your Cool offers teenagers fuel to move on making a difference in their world. Knowing that Hunter is also a teenager, one who has taken his own advice and is serious about living for God's purpose in his life, makes Lose Your Cool a natural choice to help challenge your students to 'go and do likewise.'

Review: Church Music by David Crowder Band

By Patti Gibbons Anticipation for the newest artistry from David Crowder Band has been building since the day the band stepped foot into the studio to begin making Church Music, fueling the masses with active social media interaction throughout. That anticipation does not go unrewarded, as Church Music, releasing today from sixstepsrecords, pushes forward once again the edges of contemporary rock worship music.
