"WE VOTE!" is a participative democracy project whose theme is related to promoting knowledge about the mechanisms of participatory democracy among young people from disadvantaged communities:
Specific objectives of the project:
- active participation of a total of 40 young people with fewer opportunities to national and transnational activities that will lead to the acquisition of skills, knowledge and skills about the mechanisms of participatory democracy.
- Acquisition by 40 young people with fewer opportunities of attitudes that will lead to their involvement in the electoral system of their own country.
- Developing solidarity and tolerance among young people by creating a non-formal space for interaction.
- Contributions to the development of support systems for youth activities.
- Initiating a trans-European partnership with active organization on the field of participative democracy. This partnership will offer examples of best practices for other organizations.
The implementation period of the project is 11 months, in a partnership of active youth organizations from Romania Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece and Italy. These organizations will select 40 young people to participate in the project activities.
Project activities will be conducted in Baile Olanesti – Valcea, Romania

- Structured dialogue with local authorities

TC Description

Centre for Rural Development–SEE is organization from rural part of Macedonia. CRD-SEE aims on utilizing an idea in order to develop good projects that meet requirements of the organization. The organization has 34 members and 13 volunteers with different backgrounds and who are working on different local projects concerning youth, environment, agriculture, culture etc. Although there is no maximum age limit to participate in CRD–SEE activities.

The majority of the activities of CRD–SEE refer to few main areas: - Promotion of non formal education through ICL and international YE - Strengthening civil society, citizenship and democracy in rural areas - Promotion of rural tourism and agriculture - Cross border cooperation - Multi ethnic, multilingual, multicultural and multi-religious.

We are working with youngsters with different backgrounds and we are aiming on improving cooperation between peoples from rural and urban environments and enhancing education in rural environments.

The training course "Marketing Management of NGOs" aims at developing the quality of youth activities and capabilities of civil society organizations in the youth field for improving public relations considering volunteer projects with giving opportunity to participants for acquiring skills for further development of voluntary organizations. This training course aims at improvement of the participant’s competences, knowledge, skills and attitudes to higher quality practice in the youth field regarding working with volunteers. The main project objective is to develop an understanding of the nature of Marketing Management of NGOs and the role of practitioners when they are working with EVS volunteers, to recognize the key areas of Marketing Management of NGOs involvement as a tool for self-promotion and promotion of organizations activities, and to make familiar the basic concepts and principles of Marketing Management of NGOs. The project aims at training NGO employees and project managers how to build and maintain positive and cooperative relationship with the public and also how to create a positive environment using PR methods to promote solutions for EVS voluntarism promotion. The training course would help the participants to develop skills through non-formal learning methods in forms of games and real-life situations and examples, problem-solving games to acquire the following skills: critical analysis, media analysis, essay writing, referencing, blogging as a tool for self-promotion that can be used for promotion of voluntarism, team work, presentation skills, ethical judgment, formulation of PR plan and time management. The training course would take place in the Ohrid lake region from 22- 30.01.2012 and would include participants from 10 countries.

The objectives of this TC are:

To promote young people’s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular
To contribute to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of civil societyorganisations in the youth field
To promote European cooperation in the youth field

Content and aim
UNDERTAKE! INITIATE! APPLY! is a TC whose main project goal is to support the development of basic knowledge and experience in the domain of entrepreneurial business and entrepreneurial culture, with the young, as one of eight key elements in the development of civil society based on learning and education.

Specific goals: Initiating the development of entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurial atmosphere amongst young people so that they would become active citizens in their own community, Helping young people to develop personal qualities such as self-initiative, self-confidence, innovation and creativity, ability for a team work,responsibility,willingness to take a risk and motivation for achievements, Getting knowledge and skills needed for development of a business plan with its key elements, Reducing unemployment with the young as the social category with the highest risk for poverty and social exclusion.

Key topics are: Significance of development of small and medium enterprises for the economy of the community, team work and the ability for team work, changing of established mental habits, developing the potential and creativity in thinking through creative work techniques, elements of a business plan, development of a business ideas, personal qualifications knowledge, skills, people network; product service matrix, reasons for purchasing, competition, profitability assessment; Need for investments, fixed costs, operating budget, financial sources; critical factors, list of liabilities.

Methodologi: Activities are implemented by active work methods – through workshops, working in groups and in a team on group assignments as well as resolving problems, group discussions and presentations.

“EVS and Development”

Summary:
The 13 youth associations working for the movement of young people to encourage their active participation in our territories. With this training we could learn about the cycle of EVS, and energizing youth for active participation in our territories. Also improved our knowledge of the social reality of Europe, know the terms of former European volunteers encounter and enjoy the meeting with youth, associations and representatives of entities in the Valle del Guadalhorce.
Training will take place in Álora, Malaga from 12 to 18 December 2011. During these days work in a multicultural environment as they will be represented 13 European regions from 11 different countries. It will encourage future joint actions between the participating associations under the Youth in Action.

Aims of our Training Course

To learn more about EVS cycle project.
Promote the active participation of young people and improve the quality of support systems for youth activities in our territories.
To promote understanding between youth from different countries and share experiences.

Aim:
Our group name is Küçük Adımlar Topluluğu . Our project is about people who have less chance from others, people who have obstacles. Our project will use indoor and outdoor activities for being more creative.It will sport as a tool to promote active citizenship and social inclusion of young people. Our project will take eight days in İstanbul/Turkey .
Lithunia, Slovenia and Greece are our partners. Every country will join 5 participants and 1 group leader.
We will visit different part of our city. We organize the activities according to our partner countries. Every participant must be active. We will be a real team during the project.
We will find out our prejudice about the other countries. We will play games and make workshops. We will promote young people’s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular. We will develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people. Our project will increase participation by young people in the system of representative democracy.

For the year of 2011 “International and European year of volunteering work”, we thought that it could be interesting to discuss about this topic and make a exchange about that. To be volunteer is an important paper in our society, all kinds of societies should promote volunteer work. This project wants to include an open discussion between young people from five different countries, five persons from each country. Especially to young people with few opportunities. This meeting will have duration of seven days. The objective is to understand how is to be volunteer in each country. It's easy? It's simple? To show this, we will not only discuss but show in creative ways, how is being volunteer in each country. Which help young people receive from associations, which doors they found open or close? How is important to make volunteer work inside of their own countries and outside to get close of all the countries and Europe. In this way we can construct a shared sense of helping others, regardless of their culture, race, religion or social status.
To make it more real and clear, we will implement in the beginning , ice breakers, energizers in the breaks, and during all the meeting, each country will make anthropological games, (about 10 minutes each one).Non-formal education methods essentially. The rest of the meeting is to debates, discussions, presentations, and conclusions/evaluation. As Turkey promoter country, will join that seminar Luxembourg, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Greece, with 4 participants and 1 leader. Who are youth workers, trainers or volunteers. The project will be realized in Ankara and Istanbul.

There are groups of people all around Europe who differ from the majority in many aspects, including culture, history, language, religion, and roots (including cultural identification and descent). Minorities are not simply groups with few members, nor are they limited to just ethnic, religious, or linguistic minorities.
The human rights of minorities are defined in United Nations' human rights conventions. The set of rights elaborated by the UN and other regional bodies for persons belonging to minorities have the aim of ensuring that minorities can enjoy their human rights on the same basis as other people. Their distinct identities require special protection from discrimination as well as special action to promote the preservation of their cultures, religions and languages. Their equal participation in the public sphere needs to be supported. This is part of the human rights obligations of states towards persons belonging to minorities. However, in recent years, the problem of social exclusion and discrimination is raising threateningly fast.
The project focuses on recognizing the existence of and protecting the rights of minorities, working on all levels - grassroots, national and international - towards the realization of a true multicultural society. The youth exchange ”Global Alarm” will be based on drama performance. Τhe TC is aimed to gather youth workers and daily staff from youth centres, help and information centres, youth councils and other to exchange experiences, to gain skills and knowledge in the fields of volunteering, entrepreneurship education and empowerment of youth and develop strategies in fostering creative, independent, non-traditional ways of thinking and acting in business and employment prospects for youth.
In order to reach these goals the TC will focus on the analysis of the national realities of the countries concerned, the capacity building of organisations as the first key element as well as the capacity building of youth concerned as the second key for volunteering, entrepreneurship education and empowerment.
In a next step we will create long term impacts through the development of future cooperation’s in the field in order to strengthen the results of the TC.
The project is based on the realisation of core working sessions, implemented through the use of non-formal methods as inputs and discussions in plenary sessions, exercises and simulations, thematic working groups and workshops, meetings and open space technology, providing further knowledge and understanding of the issue. A particular emphasis is given to exchanging non-formal educational practices and establishing links between the partner organisations.

Aim: Its main aim is to promote tolerance between the different ethnic groups on the Europe and to combat the racism and xenophobia, which are one of the main. To explore the concept of the problems in the region.

The following objectives have been set in order to reach the aims as described above:

To explore the concept of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance and its relevance in Europe today;
To share and analyze the realities and manifestations of xenophobia and discrimination faced by young people;
To examine the perceptions and the manifestations of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance in today’s societies;
To collect examples of good practice in overcoming prejudice and promoting inter-community relations and inter-religious co-operation with young people;
To identify criteria for good practices on intercultural and inter-religious youth work;
To identify strategies and approaches to prevent racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and its consequences on young people;
To examine similar forms of racial discrimination and intolerance involving young people, such as: Anti-Semitism, Romaphobia and racism against visible minorities;
To raise awareness of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and mobilize institutions and organizations active against discrimination in the fight against it;
To propose measures for political and educational action aimed at increasing understanding and respect for religious diversity among young people in Europe;
To explore the local reality in Europe in relation to the topic of the training course.

Methodology: The programme of the training course is being developed in a way that allows an exchange of realities and problems faced by young people in relation to a racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance as well as examples of good practice. It also seeks to explore the reality and the relevance of the concept of xenophobia in the work for equality and against discrimination. Plenary sessions will therefore alternate with working groups and practical workshops where it is expected that the experiences and concerns of young people will be discussed in more depth. The training course will build on principles of non-formal education applied in education and training activities of the Directorate of Youth and Sport and will therefore carry an in-built component of intercultural learning and active participation. The social and cultural environment will be used to get to know the multicultural reality of the city and to give a practical meaning to the work of the training course. The TC will propose recommendations and guidelines for action by institutions and organisations concerned.

Results: One of the main functions of the TC will be to address issues related to the Intercultural Dialogue and the youth work and educational responses required. Besides this, the TC should also:

Produce a statement affirming the key values, principles and purpose of intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue (according to the participants);
Result in a set of guidelines for the (good) practice for promoting tolerance and greater interreligious understanding;
Be an opportunity to develop contacts and partnership between participants and organisations represented.

The participants will be encouraged to come up new project ideas. The follow up project and activities will be planed. A manual with course materials and recommendations will be published.

youth workers/leaders directly working with groups of young people in their own communities,

having/willing to have educational aims in their activities to develop skills of young people for active citizenship,
motivated to improve their skills in citizenship education through experiential learning,
ready to learn from their own experience and be fully involved in training activities during the entire course.

Our project name is "Challenge obesity through dance and sport activity". The main aim of this project is to preventing obesity and promoting healthy life for youth. We also believe in that healthy feeding is not enough so we aim to promote dance, sport and out-door activities as physical acitivities for all people, especially for youth people.

It is also very important that a lot of the out-door and public activities, ice-breaking games and workshops will be held during the youth exchange project in Mersin, and a lot of people will hear about the project and will join in our activities as possible as.
We would like to make some kind of memorial activities and organise bike-tour with helps of local bike organisations and also dance show with local dans assocations.

With this project we also aim that the youth will be able to learn how we could get emphaty to each other and success peace and also more mass media and city council's representatives will be brought to pay attention to this project.

As sports have always been present in any nation’s culture and history we would like to bring youngster together to experience the common passion for the basic function of any human being MOVING. That’s why we decided to make a big sports youth exchange where the participants will play sports intercultural and get to play with other participants from different backgrounds.
In this youth exchange we would like promote teamwork, healthy lifestyle, fair play, sportsmanship and intercultural dialogue trough sports.

The main objective of the project participants, project beneficiaries and the general public to receive information about renewable energy-geothermal energy-the case of environmental awareness, sensitivity and awareness to develop energy-saving and recycling issues. In addition, the project of cultural recognition and the recognition of co-operation projects under the Youth Exchange and will be an important step to gain awareness of EU citizenship.
Geothermal facilities, study visits, sapling plantation and forest countries, the creation of memory, garbage collection, arrangement picnic in nature, given practical training in how to be treated, waste materials, the creation of creative works, especially for trips and events such as local culture, presentation, project presentation, countries and organizations advertise European Culture Night, ice breaker games, workshops, group leaders meetings, interviews with local and international scouts are among the major activities of project activities.
Project activities is Ayfon Municipality, the Red Crescent, the Provincial Environment and Forestry Directorate and the Provincial Scout Council of the University of Ayfon Karahisar radical organizations such as the contribution of both staff and will provide the document. Thus, inter-agency cooperation on the environment will only intensify.

The European Youth Meeting
“3rd International Youth Meeting: European Citizen – Where are you?”
in Riga, Latvia, takes place from September 22nd to 30th, 2011.

After the first two International Youth Meetings in Germany and Serbia from September 22nd to 30th, 2011 the “3rd International Youth Meeting: European Citizen – Where are you?” takes place in the Latvian capital Riga. The aim is to bring together trainers, leaders and youth workers from entire Europe and to discuss the importance of European citizenship and the participation of juveniles in the project Europe. Out of it also practical ideas and aids for international youth work shall emerge.

The topics will be treated in several units of simulations, games, workshops and presentations. Amongst others there will be also a press conference of sorts, at which journalists and members of local political organisations define their position on the representation of European youth work in public.

The whole project arose out of the idea, that besides the great importance of European youth work there are not enough offers for advanced training. By such meetings also a functioning network between the organisations can be established, what at least enables a well connected Europe.

The Language and Cultural Centre is looking for volunteers from European and Neighbouring countries and it is foreseen that volunteers will work together at the Language and Cultural Centre "World at our home". They will help each other to fulfil their daily tasks and realise their own ideas in order to aid in the provision of information for young people in Rezekne in the area of European awareness.

Our Centre works a lot with international projects and it could be interesting for our EVS volunteers to help us in our daily work; developing new contacts with European organizations in order to strengthen relations between the inhabitants of Rezekne and people from other European countries. This project will give our volunteers new knowledge and practical experience for their future.

Tasks

Furthermore, there will be the opportunity to attend language lessons (Latvian or Russian) in order to improve the communication process inside our organization, during daily activities and within the local community, enriching their personal skills and culture. Volunteers will work at the Language and Cultural Centre from Monday to Friday 14:00 till 20:00 to support our staff in the daily work. The main common task of our volunteers will be to interact with the local society sharing information about their own national culture, exchanging views on European culture, experiences in cultural work and learning some new things from each other. Other tasks of will be to help organise different intercultural activities, events, workshops and celebrations of the volunteers’ national traditions and visiting schools to present their countries. They will also help local young people to find their own EVS projects and lead interactive language activities. As well as this the volunteers will also take an active part in the regular work of the Language and Cultural Centre helping to promote and organise intercultural events according to our international projects and the special focus of the Youth in Action Programme and helping to maintain a basic service to inform young people visiting the cultural centre. During writing of our international projects, European exchanges, seminars and workshops they will also have the opportunity to add their own ideas and to help in the preparation of these events. They will also be in charge of developing the website of our organisation by adding information relating to exchange and seminars that our organisation has participated in or organised. We fully support interesting and new opinions and ideas from the volunteers. As a result they will have the opportunity to maintain and improve links with the other European Youth organisations through their contribution and interests.

Criteria

The volunteers will have to show interest and sensibility towards working with young people and adults and be able to use and show empathy, integrity and consideration. All skills which can allow them to develop new activities in our centre are welcomed. We hope they will be ready to take creative duties and be responsible and autonomous enough to propose, prepare and organise new activities and their own work according to these skills. Factors that will be important for the future volunteer work: - Be interested in European issues and/or art and cultural topics; - Like and be able to establish contacts with both young people and adults; - Have the ability to organise their own work and be ready for independent acting; - Have the ability to take initiative; - Speak English on at least a basic level (German or French may be useful as well); - Have basic skills concerning computers (Word, Internet…) All European sending and hosting organizations are invited for cooperation in EVS program.

The center is established in 2011. There are several activities for young people.The center is situated in a middle class people living area. The participants mainly from economicly low income. They want to build better conditions for theirself.

The local volunteers become together through the project of Importance of non formal education for young people” which started at the end of 2008. They are working voluntarily at the centre. The centre is supported by the GENCTUR and some individuals. They make several activities and training for young people especially university students. Some activities and programs:

3. Trainings for personal and social developments
4. Foreign Speaking Clubs

Tasks

The volunteer is mainly working with the young people and is also taking part in the activities and programs of the cooperation. Work with youth: The volunteer will be working sometimes alone, sometimes with other local volunteers %40 activities - prepare and carry out social activities - organize and lead of Foreign Speaking Clubs - Preparing presentations of several trainings - Evaluation meetings etc. %40 project writing The center runs with some donations but especially with several projects. So the volunteer should search and write projects for findind some fund. %10 office works %10 language course S/he either can learn informally or formally. Working Hours: 5 days a week from 10.00 -17.00 2 days off. Saturday will be working day. So one day will be off in week days

The programme of the project is about cultural diversity and will be flexible, i mean that there will be space for fun and relax as well.

During the project youth will talk about anti-discrimination and racism and discover different cultures by using various workshops and methods. Aim: This project is about helping youth workers to develop long-term sustainable youth work programmes directed towards developing the competencies, young people need for active participation and citizenship in society. Asure, getting sweet and salty tastes together quite contrarily, is the most complex,contrary and sophisticated dessert in the world.

It is believed that Asure is the first meal made on earth after Noah flood. Asure symbolizes ethical values such as abundance, cure, unity, making it much from few, unity of opposites and multiculturalism. Furthermore, it emphasizes that the life is shared with the whole people on earth and if only the shared life is protected , the existence can be sustained.
İstanbul is the city where people from different nations and different religions could live together in peace for many ages. It was the capital city of many big civilizations such as Rome, Byzantium and Ottoman Empire and was decorated with their masterpieces. It is still a center that Christianity, Judaism and Islamism can be lived in a harmonious way.

We are aiming at making people from different religions, sects, races, political views and coming from different parts of the world together around that a plate full of blessing in the center of İstanbul, Sultanahmet Mosque, even if it is for a couple of days. We pretend the world as Asure. In this sense, we think that people from different cultures are the sweeteners who give this taste. We want to convey the value of this unity via Anatolian cultural heritage symbolized with Asure.
