The engine starts, but it coughs a little tiny bit and in the starting process it usually smokes grey. Then the damn problem light pops on. At the end of the video you can hear that I push the gas-pedal a bit more and the warning light turns off. I suspect a glowplug or 2 are worn out.

I thought the world needed another ’61 Galaxie video. The video is nothing special — just a few photos and short clips. If you like ’61s, though, drop me a comment. The Galaxie is rather special to me, however. This is a fourth-generation car. My great-grandparents bought it new. Then my mom drove it to college until she got a pickup. Following that, my grandparents drove it until reverse went out in 1978. It sat behind a shed and deteriorated until I began restoring it around 1999.

1:18 scale AutoArt Holden Commodore SS in Victoria Police Highway Patrol livery. This one is a custom ordered car for a buyer in Australia. It has 5 tap switches and a slide switch. The rooftop lightbar has its own switch. One tap switch controls the high beam strobes, tail light strobes, and rear view mirror strobes. Another tap controls the rear deck strobes, red and blue pushbar strobes and the front air dam strobes. The slide switch controls the tail lights, low beam headlights and the laptop light,all which are steady burning.

The secrets behind the new Ford Flex’s ultra-quiet ride can be traced to a nondescript test facility in Allen Park that houses a giant 23-foot fan capable of blowing wind up to 100 mph. It was in Wind Tunnel 8 at the Jacobs’s Technology Driveability Test Facility where Flex engineers spent months measuring, pinpointed and mitigated wind noise inside the Flex cabin. The teams employed microphone-equipped mannequins inside the cabin and special tape on the exterior to spot to detect the smallest imperfection that could lead to wind noise.
