Now you can refer all your Jewish friends to place they can find valuable answers too many of their questions. On our channel you will hear many stories of the incredible work God has done in many peoples lives with our series called Journeys of Faith. We will tackle issues such as Jewish Identity, Jewish holidays, Jewish objections to Jesus plus much more. But we cant do this alone, we need support from viewers like you. 	Journeys of Faith: Melissa Weinisch Feature Melissa grew up in a home where she knew she was absolutely Jewish, and that Jesus was absolutely the Messiah. Her father was a missionary and pastor, which meant their family moved often. Though they lived in 8 cities before Melissa was 15, she considers New York her home town. Melissa spent her teenage years working in theater, music, and video production. She had planned to go to school to get her MFA in stage directing, but God, as He often does, had a different plan. In 2005 Melissa joined the Jews For Jesus music team, The Liberated Wailing, traveling and performing with them throughout the US, Europe, and Israel. After serving with the LWW from 2005-2007, Melissa has continued to work closely with Jews For Jesus in many of our programs. 	Journeys of Faith: Aaron Abramson Preview Aaron Abramson was raised in a Jewish family in Seattle, Washington, where he attended both a conservative synagogue and a messianic congregation. He had his bar mitzvah at age thirteen. In 1990, when he was fifteen years old, he moved with his family to Israel. Uncertain about his own beliefs, he sought spiritual answers to life in an Orthodox Yeshiva. After nearly a year of studies, he failed to find what he was looking for, and left disillusioned with religion altogether. Like other Israelis, when he turned eighteen, he began his military service. After serving for several months in the Israeli army, one of Aarons closest friends from Yeshiva was killed in the Middle East Conflict. Aaron resolved to leave Israel when he finished his time in the military and three years later he returned to America with an Israeli friend. He roamed the West Coast Jack Kerouac style for nearly a year. Throughout his time on the road, Aaron encountered numerous Christians who shared Gods love with him. He became aware of the reality of Gods hand upon his life, and was challenged by the word of a friend who said, You need to make up your mind about Jesus. This is somewhat of a homecoming for Micha; prior to his training in New York as he earned his BA in Jewish studies from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago under our approved student program. Micha's parents, Steve and Jan, were missionaries with Jews for Jesus for many years. Micha professed faith at a young age, but it wasn't until high school that he fully surrendered his life to the Lord. Micha is married to Leah, a Jewish believer who also has missionary parents and a similar faith journey to Micha's as she learned to trust God on her own. Even though Leah is not officially on staff, she took the training course with Micha in New York in order to better understand and be involved with his ministry. In addition to normal missionary work, Micha takes Moody Bible Institute students out for weekly evangelism to College campuses as well as to the diverse Devon section of town, where Orthodox Jews, Russians, Muslims and Hindus all live in close proximity to each other. 	Journeys of Faith: Shaun Buchhalter Feature Donate to Jews for Jesus bit.ly Shaun Buchhalter, leader of the Liberated Wailing Wall says, "Growing up in Brooklyn as a Jewish Puerto Rican, you could say I had a slight identity crisis." In fact, Shaun spent years searching for his identity. As a sophomore in college, he met a Christian who began to explain the importance of faith in God. That semester Shaun had many such interactions with Christians who challenged his understanding of God and religion. Shaun actually became jealous of the Christians he met and the joy that they had. On New Year's Eve he found himself kneeling at the corner of his bed and asking God—if He existed—to show Himself. 	Journeys of Faith: Shaun Buchhalter Preview Donate to Jews for Jesus bit.ly Shaun Buchhalter, leader of the Liberated Wailing Wall says, "Growing up in Brooklyn as a Jewish Puerto Rican, you could say I had a slight identity crisis." In fact, Shaun spent years searching for his identity. As a sophomore in college, he met a Christian who began to explain the importance of faith in God. That semester Shaun had many such interactions with Christians who challenged his understanding of God and religion. Shaun actually became jealous of the Christians he met and the joy that they had. On New Year's Eve he found himself kneeling at the corner of his bed and asking God—if He existed—to show Himself. 	Journeys of Faith: Crystal Buchhalter Feature Crystal Buchhalter was born in Lansing, Michigan, and was raised in a Jewish home by her mother. She was singing before she could talk, so it is no wonder that when Crystal began Hebrew school at nine years of age, she joined the children's choir. The cantor (the individual who sings all the prayers and liturgy for synagogue services) began to train her personally. As his apprentice, Crystal learned much about music and particularly about Jewish liturgy. At age thirteen she went to Interlochen Arts Camp, and continued to do so for five consecutive summers. Crystal's father (who is not Jewish) and brother became born again believers in Jesus around the time of Crystal's bat mitzvah. Even her Jewish mother began going to church . . . and Crystal learned that her mom had started believing in Jesus years earlier, through the witness of one of Crystal's babysitters. Crystal had always felt a sense of God's reality through the Bible stories she'd read, and when her aunt and uncle (on her father's side) invited her to a Christian concert, she attended and responded to the altar call. A year later she was baptized and became active in her church, while at the same time working in the synagogue as a cantorial soloist. Eventually, the synagogue felt they had to let her go, because some felt that Crystal's religious convictions disqualified her as a synagogue employee.
