New Set: Storm of Ragnarok

The new set, Storm of Ragnarok, is about to be released! This set features the all new Legendary Six Samurai Archetype. These new Six Samurai cards are very powerful and are going to revamp Samurai decks. The set also provides support for Scraps and Karakuris. Also, a whole new archetype is introduced, the Nordics. They have 3 boss monsters, the Polar Gods. The 3 Polar Gods are Odin, Thor, and Loki; cards based off of the Legendary Norse Gods. This set shows promise and is going to be a big hit once released in the States. I recommend pre-ordering boxes of this set before boxes jump up to prices similar to that of Duelist Revolution (which is about $100 for a booster box).

Regionals Tip!

Are you planning on going to a Yugioh Regional Tournament any time soon? Well if you are, you should know a couple things before you go:

1. Regionals is nothing like Locals. There are usually around 200+ people participating in a regional tournament and only the top 32 earn an invite to Nationals. So, don't show up with some janky spellcaster deck hoping to get an invite to Nats. The players who top usually play top tier decks and are usually good players.

2. PROTECT YOUR SHIT!!! I cannot stress that enough! People have their cards, decks, binders, etc. stolen at regionals all the time. Some people go to regionals just to steal someone's stuff. Make sure you keep an eye on your things at all times. Also, just because your binder is in your backpack, it doesn't mean that it is safe. Make sure your zippers are not at the top of your backpack, but off to the side where they are more difficult to get a hold of.

3. Trade, trade, trade. Regionals is one of the best places to make trades with people to get good cards or cards that you need. Technically it is illegal to buy/sell your cards there, but people do it anyway. You just have to be sneaky. If a judge sees you selling/buying you can be kicked out of the tournament and get into a lot of trouble.

These are just a few things that you should know before heading off to a Regional Tournament. If you follow these tips, you should have a great time!

So with the new Six Samurai support coming out soon, duelists should prepare their side decks. Samurais will be a "tier 0" deck so they will be hard to stop. So, I did some searching and I discovered a card that will greatly aid you in defeating the pesky samurai swarm. It is called Warrior Elimination. It is pretty much a Dark Hole against samurais. The card is great for eliminating all the monsters they just worked on swarming to the field. Check it out!

Looking to Sell Yugioh Cards on eBay?

Are you thinking about selling cards on eBay? Well I have some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your auctions!
Now as most of you know, eBay takes around 9% of what you sell your item for. This might not seem like much, but it can become a hefty sum if you are selling high priced cards. In order to avoid losing a lot of money to eBay, raise your shipping prices and lower the starting bid to .99 cents. I'll give you an example:
Say you want to sell your Brionac and will probably get around $30 for it on a regular auction. Well, instead of charging $2-3 shipping, charge $28 shipping and then set the biding at 99 cents. so say it sells for $2 with $28 shipping. eBay will take the 9% only from the $2. They do not account the shipping costs into their %!!!! So instead of losing $2.70 in eBay charges, you only lose $0.18! That sounds a lot better don't you think? Now this tactic does reduce the chance of people actually buying your item just because a high shipping charge doesnt attract buyers, but it is worth the money you save. So, next time you sell a card on eBay, try this little trick!

Pro Tip! Starting Your Collection

If you are new to Yugioh, you probably do not have a very large collection of cards and you most likely do not own many "high-end" cards. In order for you to successfully build a strong collection, avoid buying single booster packs from stores. Try buying singles off eBay, trollandtoad.com, etc. This way, you can buy cards that are worth a large sum of money and either trade those for other cards you need, or trade one of those expensive cards for many less expensive ones. Over time, you will have a large collection of cards that are actually worth something.

Do you buy booster packs often? From those packs, how many holos do you usually pull? Do you want to increase that number? Here is a tip on how to increase your holo pull ratio! Go to ebay.com and buy yourself a small, pocket scale. They cost around $10 but trust me, it is worth it. Take that scale with you the next time you go to the store to buy packs. Before buying, take a handful of packs and weigh them on the scale. Packs with holos will weigh less than those with just rares! So, simply purchase the heavier packs and you are guaranteed to pull all holos!

Pro Tip! Quick Dueling Tip

While dueling, make sure you are calm, cool, and collected. Do not lose focus and make hasty, careless moves. Even if things arent going your way, do not make unnecessary moves that could ultimately cost you the duel. When attacking, always make sure you have some sort of back-up plan if your opponent springs a trap on you. Never over commit to one play and never play out your entire hand on the first turn; you will most likely regret doing it.
