Site contains beautiful pics of all the characters, including the ancient Egyptian ones. Most noteably this artist has fantastic works depicting the three legendary knights from the Doma Arch (Timaeus, Critias, and Hermos). Edit: The first site requires a password for you to enter. It asks for the height difference between the rivals. Kaiba is 186 cm and Yugi is 155 cm. So the difference is 33, and so 33 is your password. =)

Introducing one of my all time favorite sites, BC, or as I call it, Colorful!

Now this site is a little old and not all of the buttons work, but the best part about it, the Yu-Gi-Oh! gallery is still alive and kicking. Trust me when I say kicking because the art is kick-ass.

Like most artists featured here, this one draws Yugi and the gang with a distinct style. If we looked at Yugi specifically, you will notice the bangs are drawn a little blocky and with simplicity. They're a little shorter and his eyes aren't drawn as big as they would normally be. The white in his eyes isn't as apparent, but we still get the child-like vibe from him nevertheless so the character's traits aren't really changed in any way.

There is some implied yaoi in this site where the some of the characters are holding each other in suggestive embraces or in one example, Priest Set is just holding up Yugi who is clad in Egyptian garb and grinning up at him suggestively. There's nothing too frightening here if you're not into that kind of thing but I would still give them a look because as I mentioned, all of the artwork is superb.

For future reference, I want to take a moment to explain a sort of fan character that is prevelant in many sites with Puzzleshipping or Blindshipping. This character's name is generally referred to as Heba (Game in Ancient Egyptian) and is basically the Ancient Egyptian form of Yugi. Many sites have different names for him but I digress. Now there are many different origin stories for the fanmade Heba, but it is basically the answer used to explain Yugi Mutou's existence. Now it is implied that Yugi is supposed to be the reincarnation of Atem and that's why he's the chosen vessel to hold him. But many argue that this can't be the case because if Atem's soul was in the puzzle, there'd be no way he'd be reincarnated. So others argue that Yugi must be the light half and the dark half be in the puzzle. But this can't be right either since they are obviously two different people. So the last explanation is that Yugi might be a descendant of Atem's...which is also kind of unlikely since Atem died at the ripe old age of...15 or 16. I mean if you deeply consider the possibility of him having an heir, it's not uncommon for that to happen in his time period but it seems unlikely based on his actual character. Now since Priest Set (Seth, Seto, whichever) survived and was his cousin, there's a chance that Yugi's genes came from there, but again unlikely since I doubt awesome pink hair and blond strands came from Atem's dad's side of the family but I could be wrong. ANYWAY, the fourth idea the fans came up with is that Yugi had a previous life in ancient Egypt too and they called him Heba. Heba is a nifty way for the fans to ship Atem with Yugi without actually using Yugi. So when you see Yugi with a tan and dressed in Egyptian attire, I'm going to be referring to that person as Heba so as not to confuse anybody with actual Yugi. Coolies? Alrighty, moving on.

Colorful hasn't updated in a loooong time. In fact, the diary on the main page isn't even functional anymore which is usually a bad sign. To make navigation easier, I simply linked to the gallery page. Now there are squares on the right and a Yu-Gi-Oh! link towards the top. The squares list the old diary logs and are full of great little pics. If you click on the Yu-Gi-Oh! link at the top, the other big works are listed on the right. So be sure to click both sections for some awesome pieces.

This site is perfect for the softcore puzzleshippers and blindshippers out there. There is a lot of Yugi and Yami/Atem art to behold and not all of it is that fluffy. Some of it is just the two of them hanging out and portrays their special friendship really well. Even if the site hasn't updated in what feels like forever, the artworks like the one I listed above are practically iconic and have inspired many other works in their wake. So give them a lookover and maybe you'll be inspired too.

I'm so sorry I haven't been keeping this updated recently but I didn't think I had any readers. After seeing your kind comments, I have decided to continue with this blog.

I've noticed a lot of broken links and I'll do my best to fix them but sometimes fanart sites just go away and there's nothing I can do about that. However I admit some of the broken links is just a lack of maintenance on my part so I will do my best to get all of those up and running for you.

Hope to have more of you reading soon. I have a huge list of fanart sites that I would like to get reviewing, all from the beautiful to just plain whacky so it should be a lot of fun. Meanwhile, enjoy the downloads and stuff. =D

You've waited long enough and now it's time to review NS.

To begin, I'm going to point out the obvious and say that the top page isn't that spectacular. In fact, it's hard to know where to begin with so many links on the front page. However, by now, your instincts should tell you to look at the list of links on the left. Here we see some familiar names like "top", "main", "P-BBS", and "Web clap". The japanese symbols you see there link to a page displaying the artist's doujinshi, or fancomics, that they may have for sale or are currently working on. Top leads back to the default page of which we are on now. Main leads you to the main gallery. P-BBS leads to the blog/diary/log which contains all the juicy bits in my opinion. If it's one thing this site does, it's update often. Web clap is something I have mentioned earlier. If you like a site, click on the web clap and leave a comment. It's like giving ratings on youtube. The more web claps they get, the higher the ratings they get. Plus, if you give them web claps, sometimes you'll get a picture that you'd never see otherwise as a gift. The artists sometimes reply to comments too, yes, even if you write them in English.

Before I continue, I'd like to point out that in the Main page, towards the bottom where the second to last link is marked with an asterisk and has (javascript on) next to it, is a nifty flash game. It's a game of othello played with Yugi and Yami Yugi heads. If you've never played othello, basically the object of the game is to get more Yugi heads on the board than the computer. To do so, you place Yugi heads next to Yami heads. Once you enclose the Yami heads, they become Yugi heads. The game is over when all the spaces on the board are filled or if either player doesn't have a head on the board. If you can't make a move, you pass with the gray button on the right towards the top. It's a fun little time-waster.

The very last link on the bottom of the left hand menu on the Main page leads to a page marked "XXX". As you might've guessed, this is where some of the naughty artworks are, but they're really not that bad. This site's art is pretty PG-13 and the more risque pieces are BARELY rated R...just barely. Trust me, you'll see what I'm talking about when I review more sites.

Onto the artwork! The most portrayed characters here are Yugi, Yami Yugi, and Atemu. This place is a puzzleshipper's and blindshipper's paradise! I guess I should mention that if you don't like yaoi, this isn't for you. But there are plenty of G0rated Yugi, Yami, and Atemu pics to make this site worth the visit. The artist's style ranges from comic-booky with her use of lineart to watercolorish with light pastel colors. Some even look like they're drawn with markers. The artist has demonstrated that she draws with traditional media and digital media and often blends them together (like most artists do) and overall, she does a pretty good job.

If I had any complaints, though, it would be that sometimes the background color chosen on the lineart pics can often overwhelm the thin lines that are being used and makes the picture seem washed out. Bold is good, but dark pink with thin blue lineart isn't always the best choice.

Other than that, it's hard to say what separates this style from other artists. What I mean is, how can I look at a bunch of art and be able to point at one of them and say "That's an NS"? For me, the use of color and the lineart sets them apart. However, when it comes down to the actual character design, it gets a little more difficult to describe. What I always look at is the hair. The Yugi hairstyle is so complex that every artist has their own way of drawing it with varied results. Unfortunately, these results aren't always that great, but when it's good, it becomes a fanartist's signature. Here, I can tell a picture is an NS by the spikes in the hair and the delicate curves of the bangs. NS draws 7 prominent spikes in their hair. Most artists have the top 5 with the bottom two just barely sticking out out on the back of the neck. NS's neck spikes tend to stick out more and make the hair appear to have more volume but at the same time, doesn't make it look huge. The spikes themselves are rather thin but because they're spaced more evenly, you don't lose the volume and at the same time, you don't overwhelm Yugi's head. What's more, the spikes don't just stick straight out, they have curves to them, as do the bangs. These curves, while not always noticeable, make all the difference in the world, making the characters look softer, more care-free, and even give them their own elegance. This is exactly what pulls NS's art together when combined with the wide array of poses the characters are put in.

Overall, this site is worth the click and the clap if you like Yugi and Atemu in general. There IS a lot of yaoi and there isn't much warning in the P-BBS blog thing, but it's pretty much PG-13 for 95% of it. It isn't too hard to navigate. Even if you don't read this review, you shouldn't have trouble figuring out your way around within a couple of minutes of clicking.

The art covers all spans of cute and pretty. There is lots of adorable yaoi with Yugi, Yami, and Atemu. One might say that the art seems to get a little repetitive after a while. Sometimes even for me it's hard to remember which ones I have and have not seen before because so many look alike.

Content: 8/10
The site's blog updates frequently, however the gallery itself isn't all that updated. If you want to see the newest pics, just go straight to the blog.

I'm not sure what the technical name for this blog is, but I call it the Pipa Tegaki blog because it's in the URL, so here goes.

What is this blog all about? Well, the site is separated into categories based on different animes and are marked with tags. An example of which is below which represents Yu-Gi-Oh! fanart and is linked for your convenience.

On this blog, hundreds of other artists sign up and post pictures that they draw using the online drawing program which resembles simple programs such as microsoft paint. Going through this site is so much fun because you begin to recognize the work of other artists. As demonstrated in the Morpho livestream video, many sites link to their pipa tegaki pages or just post the pictures on their own. Quartzshow has many works there and you'll begin to notice more and more as the reviews keep coming.

Every now and then, the site hosts little events or themes and the pictures are drawn to go with those themes. For instance, there was this one day for some reason that all the YGO characters were drawn eating pocky. Of course, character birthdays are celebrated as well so if you check out the blog on your favorite character's birthday, you're going to see a lot of good stuff. Heck, every day there are bound to be a couple of gems. These guys are phenomenal! Not all of them are spectacular, but hey, practice makes perfect. A scribble could turn into a true work of art someday.

Most of the artworks you see in my videos come from this site. It is worth the time to check this blog every day, if not every day. If you scroll down from the first page that's linked above, you'll see more tags at the bottom. These lead to different subcategories of YGO works and for your convenience, I'm going to explain these different categories the best I can so you don't stumble into something too shocking.

This section is for the art that depicts Yu-Gi-Oh! characters crossdressing or with sex changes.

This section is for the yaoi, AKA boy x boy love, or shounen ai. Sometimes a few crossdressing pics or sex changes slip in there, but it's all about the boys here.

I'm not really sure what these pics are all about. If I could hazard a guess, I think it involves pictures with crossover characters and/or characters switching characteristics with other characters.

I'm pretty sure this means "Girls Only!" after seeing the obvious trend. Just female characters from the show, be it they're from Duel Monsters, GX, or 5Ds.

This section is for the drawings of straight couples from all three series.

These are crossovers of the main characters from all three YGO series. You'll see lots of pics with Yugi/Atem, Jaden, and Yusei in them.

These are drawings of duel monsters, but I'm not sure what makes this section much different from the other Duel Monster categories except maybe for the fact that the monsters are drawn suggestively. There's a lot of dark magician girl and there's a few with the monsters as couples.

The others are mostly GX and 5D's related so I won't go into detail about those. However, there are a few more categories worth noting.

This section is full of drawings of monsters from the card game. OCG is the Japanese Equivalent of TCG, which stands for Trading Card Game.

OCG means there are more duel monsters in here, however, they are duel monsters drawn in human form.

The yellow symbol is the logo for the new Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary movie that's being released in Japan late this January. In the movie, Yusei and Jaden go back in time to meet up with Yugi and team up to battle a new evil known as Paradox. Did I mention the movie is in 3D? So anyway, this section is for celebratory pics for the movie and the anime's 10th anniversary.

I can't say for sure what this section is all about, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's drawings of original characters created by fans. In other words, this is where people draw their own Yu-Gi-Oh! characters. It seems a lot of them are based in the GX era, though, judging by the academy jackets. And why are almost all of them wearing the red jackets?

Morpho Livestream Walkthrough

Yeah, I thought I'd try giving a quick walkthrough of the site. I think I'll have more when we get to the more complicated sites. This is just my way of testing myself to see if I can get myself to speak on the internet. As you'll see in the video, I took quite a while to work up the nerve to speak and I apologize for how weird my voice sounds. I'll put bottled water on my list, along with an actual script.

Today, I'm reviewing Morpho, a site whose main pairing is Yami Malik x Yami Bakura, also known as Psychoshipping. Warning, site contains content not meant for young viewers. Click the banner below to take a look.

My vocabulary isn't the best in the world so it's hard to describe this site. To start, the artist's style when it comes to portraying the characters is seen mostly in the detailing of the eyes and the subjects' body structure. The narrow, yet emphasized eyes are the first things that catch your attention, giving you a real feel for what the characters are like. The lines around the eyes are dark, but the irises are pale and almost transparent. As you stare at them, the dark lines make you feel as if they're staring back and at the same time, the pale and sometimes bright colors of their eyes illustrates how insane and chaotic their characters are. As for their body structure, the artist depicts Yami Malik and Yami Bakura as very thin young men with long limbs, which just adds to their depraved looks.

The coloring is very dramatic and sometimes pastel-ish. The lighting is skillfully used to make their eyes light up and draw your attention to the emotion on their faces right away, no matter the atmosphere of the work. This is especially the case with the grayscale images where it's often hardest to keep certain parts of the image from getting lost in the similar tones.

Since the art is in fact portraying two of the main villains from Yu-Gi-Oh!, there are bound to be violent images. An example of which is an illustration of Yami Malik with his limbs cut off. Thankfully, though, this site has great labels. Finding the gallery is straightforward and once you get there, you'll notice that some of the icons on the left side are colored red. These are obviously the scary and more mature works. Even when you click on them, you are given one more warning with more red text and white space so that you'll have to scroll down to actually see the image.

There are works from other animes too such as Gundam00 and Death Note. You'll notice that there's another category labeled "other" which I can only assume are the artist's own original characters/works since I don't claim to be an anime expert.

There's also a blog but lately it's been filled with a lot of text, save for a few risque pics every now and again. The only complaint I would have about the blog is that unlike most sites who include a hyperlink for their mature pics, this artist just lists it right there. So if you ever look through the blog, be prepared for some skin, to put it delicately.

Overall, psychoshipping isn't really my thing but the art is really nice. If you're squeamish or have problems with limbs being hacked off, avoid the red-labeled ones if you just want to see some of the nicer stuff. There is a lot of nakedness and a few ones with lewd acts, but again, those are all labeled in red unless you go to the blog and then you're on your own.

Yami Malik and Yami Bakura are generally pretty thin in the pictures so when occasionally you see their pectorals, they seem a little rounder than they're supposed to be. Now, it's not unusual for artists to sometimes stick boobs on the characters, but seeing as how there's no real indication of whether or not those are big pecs or little boobs, it's a little distracting and sometimes ruins the mood of the pic when you're thinking about how feminine they look.

Other than that, the art is beautiful. A good handful of them are certainly worth the look, even if you don't even like these villains.

Content: 7/10
This site does not update that frequently. There are plenty of blog posts with text, but not much pictorial content for weeks at a time. There's a little variety and perhaps one picture of Yugi in there. The old log pictures are sometimes pretty funny, but it's certainly not for all audiences.
