"You need a new laptop with better specs to support your test", an advice thrown by my Sifu so that I could labour on my tests and be more productive.

Hmm~ I'm not the type going after the evolution of netbook as its progress is much too fast that I could cope unless I'm in need of one..

To get a so call 'GOOD' lappie of course studies need to be carried out to get one that is really worth every bucks that I've spent on..

Btw, I've spent more than a week just to make the decision and another 2-3 weeks to get myself a Christmas Present.

Well, it's not a hundreds over gadgets.. thus I seek advices from few buddies..

First consideration ; BUDGET..

Second; My study (heavy simulation)

Third; Photography + multimedia (something I'm learning at the moment).. kikikiki

Yes you are right.. exactly as the title of the post.. 1Malaysia Voucher!!! Cool isn't it.

First time in my life of study.. goodness~ Ehem~ getting voucher without any pay??? Doubt it!!!

But this is true.. not prank !

Tada~~ Told you, I've got mine but yet to redeem it..

and I suppose everyone got theirs too. :p

I'm definitely gonna get myself a few new books.. *evil grin*

Some might ask what is that? BOOK VOUCHER??? WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, HOW... we are given the voucher?

To begin with, this is actually a program launched under the 2012 budget for students fulfilling following criteria to buy academic books, journals, magazines on knowledge and study aids.

#1. Must be a Malaysian. (hmm~ of course.. coz d vouchers was named 1Malaysia Book Voucher)

#2. Those who are pursuing their tertiary or postgraduate studies. (Status- active)

#3. Students who are studying either full time or part time.

#4.Those who registered and studied under the IPT branch company.

#5. Studied in institutions accredited by the ministry of higher education.

#6. Those with IPG (Institusi Pendidikan Guru) or PISMP (Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan) are NOT eligible for the voucher.

#7. Those with KPLI (Kursus Perguruan Lepasan Ijazah) are NOT eligible for the voucher.

Year 2011 - Looking back

In less than 3 days away we will be bidding goodbye to year 2011 and welcoming a new year 2012. Whether it was a good or bad year in 2011.. it's gonna gone forever. As for me, I will be counting down in Kuching my 2nd home and most probably with bunch of friends having steamboat or what so ever as long as we are together welcoming a new year for a new start.

Well~ I'm not the type love joining the huge crowd for the count down. Thus a simple one with my loved ones will do.

So before the year 2011 ends, there are few events in my life that are worth mentioning either as encouragements or lessons to be learn for my own goods.

# 1 Registered myself in postgraduate study by research after having such a tough warfare with myself. Have always been hoping to go abroad to further my study. It is a way to broaden my view and knowledge in the field that I explored. On the other hand, I could travel around to see and experience the marvellous creations of God. This will definitely broaden my heart not to see myself as the center and be more independent. However, man proposed God disposed.. for some purposes I ought to stay back at my current location to reconnoiter my study and I'm glad that I remained.

I need to redeem my time, for the days are evil.

# 2 Attended the International Night in Punjabi costume.

Tada~ My friends dropped their specs as I showed up in wonderful Punjabi costume. *P.S. The costume was borrowed from Uma, my lovely housemate. Thanks Uma if you happen to read this. :)
In this event, the international students from different countries performed in their national costumes some are from China, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, France, Syria and so on so forth. This really opened my eyes..

#3 Joining the 5th National Summit 2011

This year the Sarawak Branch hosted the national summit and I'm glad that I'd got the chance to handle part of the activities. This is my first time handling publicity for an event. In this national summit I got the chance to meet with engineers all around Malaysia and of course site visits that gave me the idea of the current developments in Sarawak. It is indeed a good platform for all the young engineers gather together sharing their experiences.

#4 Joining the AAEC Conference organized by the Swinburne University as a volunteer.

Though it was a tiring section, I enjoyed it very much. Special thank goes to Dr Ling for giving me a chance to learn photography for an event. I have to admit that I'd not done a good job with the limited equipment that I had. Much more studies and learning and also investment in some equipments are needed for improvement. That will be my goal for next year, 2012.

#5 Conquering Mt Singai

Well, I'd make it to the top. Bravo~ ^.^;

#6 Family Trip to JB and Melacca for my younger sister's convocation.
Congratulations dear sis~ You've make it. Good job. May God guided your path ahead and bless you with Himself more each day.

#7 Short trip to Putrajaya and Cameron Highland
Starting another chapter of my life.
Though there are lots of uncertainties together we can and gonna make it.

#8 Getting myself a new lappy ASUS N55S for the purpose of my studies. Let's make it happen in another 2 years time. May God preserve.

#9 Of course all the FOODS that I've enjoyed together with my friends and of course my loved housemates which leave me an extra inches on my waist??? I hope no... haha..

Flip Flops Festival in Damai Puri

Had a nice outing with my housemates back in July.

Ehem~ definitely Yun put on her sexy shorts, T-shirt and her lovely white pair of flip flops.. to enjoy the touch of sand and the breeze of beach..

Well~ though the theme for the outing is Flip Flop.. my 'kaki' went there just for the hot air balloon~ Cool isn't it.. LOL..

Conquering Mt Singai

All works and no play makes Jack a dull boy~

Yun remembered that prior to the trip Yun was actually preparing for a paper.. digging hard, learning hard, squeezing hard, forcing myself hard enough to get the little creatures running.. yet in the end.. Yun still fail to catch up with the dead line.. *sad case*

anyway~ all blames to herself for poor time management..

Here we go, for a day trip to Mt. Singai on the 1st Sept.. as it was holidays for Hari Raya Celebration.

So we plan it to suit all busy young working dudes' schedule. Hmm~ this year Yun escape all the celebrations~ back to the nature to nurture her soul a bit before she 'ki xiao'.. from the overbearing pressure..

There were all together 8 of us joining the hiking trip..

After all the ding ding dong dong... we arrived at Mt Singai around 8.30am.. so we started to hike at 8:45am after warming up ourselves. hmm~ kinda late.. coz it's a sunny day~~ *HOT!!!*

On the way to the Catholic church we passed through all these interesting cross.. well, some said, we ought to stop and pray before we proceeded to the next cross.. but Yun didn't~ Just continue on taking all the steep stairs tat really cause me to be out of breath! fuh~~

Upon reaching the Catholic church, there is a small 'canteen'?? Well, Yun not sure what it is called.. and it is the place where all the saints gather together to have their meals before continuing their worshipping activities.

On the way up to Mt Singai~ There are lots of interesting scenes.. one of them is this bamboo made resting place??? People may take a rest here.. well, some said they would wait for the durian to fall from the tree here..

Though it was a tiring trip Yun enjoyed it very much ~~

Do pay a visit to Mt Singai if hiking is also one of your interest.

Attended the lengthy and tiring convocation for the whole day~ could you imagine..

Gosh~ I'm really exhausted!

Those packaging are really great though the bread itself taste so so.. and of course with higher price due to its cute design.

This is indeed a long overdue post..

Well~ It's never too late to pen down some memories~ as Yun always did.

This is Yun's 27th Birthday.. fall on the 3rd September 2011.

Previously, Yun celebrated it together with Yun's housemates and church buddies..

well, this year had turn out to be a little bit different.. hmmm~ Not going to mention the sad part.. but glad that there are still buddies around.. my beloved family members, housemates and of course with him..

Thanks to all Yun's friends for the wishes, celebrations, presents and of course lots hand make cakes and cards.. Yun love it very much.

This year was exactly the same as the previous year~ Nothing special. Hmmm~~ but Yun got a call from someone~ ehem, that someone claimed wanna enjoy the same view of the moon but too bad~ the cloud was too thick.. :p Well~ I'm not that bad after all~ capturing the nice view that Yun enjoy and share with Yun's reader and oso to that someone.. LOL..

Although, Yun did not celebrate mooncake festival together with her family members.. Yun got lots of wishes and mooncakes from friends.. range from jelly mooncake, 'ice skin' mooncake, double yoke mooncake, pandan mooncake.. and 2 more to come flying from my hometown.. haha.. so happy~~ ^^ sorry all are and is going to be kept warm in my tummy~ :p

I'm so scared lately.. scare of my life, my decisions... I just do not have a reason not to scare.

I left office very early yesterday coz I could not sustain the overwhelming pressure and burden that are put on my shoulders.. I went back home.. locked myself in the room and cried my heart out. Just to release whatever that I had bottled up.

Well, I wish I don't have to think and care for anything but I just cannot do it because it's my choice and I do love people around me.

I wish I could perform well.. in my roles as a student, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a 'brother', a teacher, a colleague, a mate...... I could not deny that I will fail without the cares and encouragements from the people around me.

But what could I do and what have I done???

I had received a few mails lately that cause me to be weary and upset.. why don't the mails arrived few months earlier??? I know that I should be firm.. but who could resist such a good offer??? It's always be my dream to get an oversea scholarship and to pursue my dreams.

But this time I considered twice... and I still hold on the decision that I had made few months ago..

I do not know whether I will regret..

I know that in these few months whenever I face any obstacles I have - superior, mates, friends either by my side or far away... patiently guiding, leading and accompanying me through.. these blessings are much valuable that my dreams..

Riverside Majestic Hotel - Buffet

After 4 days of intensive training - both physically and mentally. Yun announced herself 'dead' with extremely bad mood.. getting frustrated easily.. sound like the symptoms for psm.. :p

Well~ life is not that bad after all (Yun's favourite quote)..

Btw, Yun was really looking forward to the last day of the 'show time'.. sorry to say that :p

After all those "show time" from all the 'big head'.. There is a good news for Yun.. hehe..

Yun get a good treat from Yun's 'boss'.. kikiki..

Bella Italia

Getting sick of all the fast food outside? Having the same dishes or cuisine over and over again the past few months? Well, this is a place that you could drop by to have a change of taste.

This time Yun brought all her readers to Bella Italia at RH Plaza. Wondering where it is? It's located directly opposite Four Point Sheraton Hotel facing the roadside.

The owner of the shop is an Italian. Thus the interior design of the cafe do have a little bit of Italy taste. You could see the colours of the Italy flag (Green, White and Red) in case you don't know and all the nice paintings on the wall..

Btw, something caught Yun's attentions.. the Mr Potato's like man.. here we go Yun take a photo of it as a souvenir from the shop. Doesn't he look cute~ ^.<

Ok.. serious business here.. Here we go~ the menu. It is a simple menu. The only thing that Yun's wondering~~ why the owner used Bella as the name of the shop??? Bella from the Twilight???? lol...

This is Yun's cup of tea~ trying to cut down on the coffee so Yun turn to tea~~ sound healthier..

And these are few types of floats that Yun's kaki makan had ordered.

There are Banana floats; vanilla floats and chocolate floats.. Forgive Yun for forgotten about the price.. If not mistaken the floats are between RM 7-9 per cup kinda expensive if compared to the portion that was served.

Well, Yun's cup of tea was served with packs of sugar~~ No wonder Yun's very sweet.. :p Too bad din manage to use the sugar coz Yun drank her tea without sugar~

Here are the main dishes with all the difficult names;

This is called Risotto Polo.. served with mushrooms, chicken...

Not sure how it taste coz Yun din actually taste it. Claimed by the owner of the food is it great.

*Sorry Yun totally have no idea how much it costs*.. will update when Yun find out about it.

The Lagsana - Yun still haven't found one that could beat Yun's aunts' Lagsana.. I think she bakes the best Lagsana in Kuching. RM 14 ++ Rating 6/10.

The pizza - 100 times tastier than Pizza hut.. OpPsss...

Yun ordered herself some pasta Fusilli Alla Pollo which claimed to be the must tried dish. Well, too bad. Yun dunno how to enjoy it.. Yun dislike the taste of the pasta. RM 19 Rating 4/10.

and this is another type of Risotto which means Rice in Italian.. Again, Yun had no idea how it taste.

Overall, Yun love the food at Bella Italia. Yun will definitely go back for her Pizzas. ^^

I have always being optimistic..

wonder why the word "optimistic" leave me alone today.

The word that I used to encourage others - sound useless to me right now.

I am so tired.

Totally not in the mood..

Just like the ostrich who dig a hole and hiding and flooding the hole.

I could still sustain not until a friend of mine caring about me..

tears began to fill the frames of my eyes.

I wish I could hold it back. But it seems that I am holding it for too long.

Yun was invited to join a post-mortem gathering at Puzzle @ Pullman (buffet style). It was indeed a great gathering. The price for the buffet is approximately RM 60 per pax. Yun was not so sure coz someone foot the bills.. haha..

Well, those who is in Kuching definitely will know where is that Pullman. For those who don't here is the link PULLMAN. feel free to browse through for more information.

Apologize for only a partial coverage of the restaurant bar. Yun share only the dessert not the main course served.

Let's begin with only few photos captured for the interior decoration of the Puzzle. It's creative though. Love it.

Not to forget all the nice and mouth watering dessert.

Fruit cheese. (6/10) The texture is good, just the kiwi is a bit too sour.

Pandan moose (6/10)

Fruit tart. (7.5/10) The biscuit layer is crunchy with nice combination of cheesy filling and fruits topping. Yun do grab a few of these.. ^^

Chocolate mud (5/10) some how it's too sweet for Yun.

Not sure what's its name already. Yun will rate this 5/10 (too sweet as well)..

Mango moose (7/10).

Cake with blueberry as its topping (3/10) Not satisfying - The blueberry topping does not give any taste to the tasteless bread. :(

They served Dim Sum as well..

Mango + Grapes + Vanilla with chocolate topping.. Nom nom nom..

Overall the food is OK. Yun will rate then 7.5/10.

For those who craves for desserts - do have a evil trip there.. haha..

今天心情很累。

来放纵一下！

才睡3个钟的我，脾气有点暴躁，一大早不知哪个家伙搞到正搂宿舍停电我的论文就酱收挡真的有气到咯，然后又被人耍，真的够力，连对不起也不说声，咳！我怎么会有这样的朋友。。可悲！

这还不用紧，一到目的地竟然被审问。。拜托，我真的没收到你的信息。又是我的错咯。hmm~ 我想该是时候换号码了。

haiz~ 有时候真得不知道我在岗什么鬼东西，

总是为别人想，尽量配合，到头来 - 还是自讨苦吃。。真的有点笨。应该是很笨才对。

It had been a long time since I last blog about my current life besides all sorts of mouthwatering food and loads of photos~ Hmm~ Wondering since when I've began to turn my blog into food and photography blog.

Sori.. to all my friends and faithful readers and thanks for caring sending warm mails and pop up to say hi~ well, you are always in my heart. *muaks*. ^^

I wonder where shall I start..

Hmm, Yun thinks it's good for her to do a summary post ;

Yun had started her studies last Feb and continue working hard to get familiar on the 'creatures'. Well, it's marvellous when you get to know that actually Maths is everywhere in our daily life.. even things that you've never thought of.. From the nature to the animals Yun was impressed and of course marvelled at the great creation of the Almighty one.

Well, Yun's current life is just study and working.. Besides study still study and besides working still working.. bla bla bla.. Kinda monotone but what to do~ That's life. But no worries.. I'm not going to make myself a dull gal~ :p Of course my life is full of colours having fun on whatever things that I am attached to. So~~ no regret. ^^

Btw, proudly to announce that Yun is going to have a short break starting on the 2nd June- not going anyway special, just back to hometown for a fortnights to be pampered by my parents and siblings besides attending 3 wedding dinners. Sadly to say, tonnes of works gonna follow me back home.. In the midst of holidays gonna rush to meet the due date.. sienz..

Gonna sign off to check on my little babe.. how was the results.. stay tune for my updates for the holidays.

2. Not received any message that you've type and sent by SKYPE or MSN??? Coz of poor line???

Please la, be gentleman.. Please ask a simple question "Do you receive my message or wat so ever???" before you start throwing your harsh words or make all sort of accusation.

It might not sound nothing to you.. but it hurts me. OKAY.. DAMN IT. STUPID! @#$%^&*

Tired of work and life. It's time to pamper yourselves and your tummy with some marvellous mouth watering food. This is what I always do whenever I feel worn out. ^^ Life is always good, it depends on how you view it. Hmm~ I'm owaz positives though might complaints a lot.. =p those who are really close to me will know about it.. hehe..

Let me introduce to all my readers the place that I went for some goodies.

Swee Kang.

Swee Kang is famous for her ais kacang and ABC. Actually, Yun went there not for those two fella but DURIAN ICE..

Too bad, the owner said there is no durian ice coz the price of the fresh durian is still very high..

Well, no durian ice doesn't mean it's the end of the world..

Ice Kacang pun BOLEH lah~~ ^.<

Let me introduce one by one the few dishes that Yun enjoyed;

Char Kueh - Rating 4/10 Price RM 4.00 per plate. Yun rate it 4/10 because Yun had tasted something better than this around Tabuan Jaya area..

Rojak owaz Yun's favourite. This taste really good. Rating 8/10 Price 8/10

Another type of rojak with crispy 'oil stick' yao char kueh.. Rating 8/10 Price RM 4.00

Ayam Penyek. This ayam penyek definitely taste better than the Raja Ayam Penyek. The chicken is juicy (not too dry), and the source is hot and delicious. Rating 8/10 Price RM 7.00.
*This ayam penyek is ordered from the shop next door.*

Yun order herself ais kacang. It tastes great with all the creamy ideal milk and yummy red bean . Rating 8.5/10 Price RM 1.80.

And finally the ABC.. can you see the green green cendol.. Well, Yun dislike tat green monster.. Anyway, it taste as great as the ais kacang.. Rating 8/10 Price RM 1.80.

After all the sweet and creamy food sure will cause Yun to have a good mood.. ^^
