Yun's Life

Life is too fragile

2011-08-16T11:15:00.001+08:00

A sudden thought stoke my mind, lingering and urging me to scribble something out from my wandering mind. It's nothing else but something about life. Well~ I'm neither too young nor too old to know about life. Definitely I gonna share something that match my age as I live along.

Reminiscence....

What is life means to you???

Daddy and mommy give you life that you could life? Is that all???

I have been thinking - my life is in my hand and only I can make changes and live a life that I desire. I could work like a bull; play like an idiot; study like a bookworm; spending as if I were a billionaire; achieving dreams as if I were the next Armstrong. Well~ no doubt it is very true. Indeed this is the kind of life that most of us are going through to earn a living in this so called information age..

I have been reading the 8th Habit book recently. I came across something that was actually the same in the Bible. I could not remember the exact words but it is something like this "The fundamental reality is that human beings are not things needing to be motivated and controlled; they are four dimensional : Body, Mind, Heart and Spirit." For those who had read the bible of course you know what I am crapping about - it was written in the bibles thousand years ago... and people are discovering making new findings to wake us up from the 'systems'..

Hmm, by the way, I wrote and share on these do not mean that I know and practice every single stuffs in the bible.. Well, I have read; I know about it.. but I am not awaken/enlightened by the so called teachings in the bible. Felt ashamed.

Another great sentence that enlightened me is that "Everyone chooses one of two roads in life - the old and the young, the rich and the poor, men and women like. One is the broad, well travelled road to mediocrity, the other to greatness and meaning." Definitely this reminded me of the poem written by Robert Frost "The Road Not Taken." Everyone of us are given choices to choose.. we lead and live out life via the choices that we've made every single moment.

I have been so confident in my life (at least most of the time).. not until an incident which stroke my heart and hold me back. We work like a slave of the earth for something unforeseen.. Some say, I plan/work/live for my future; I plan/work/live for my family; or even I plan/work/live for the country... wow~ sound so grand.

Well, we could plan and work out the plan very well.. but what is the things we often neglected??? Our Body, Heart, Mind and Spirit.. Don't you think so???

I get the news from my sister yesterday, it was indeed a shocking news that kept me in a shocking mode for the rest of the day.. my cousin's husband passed away. For you information my cousin is quite young.. in the mid of her 30s so did her husband. They have a happy family with 2 very young kids.. and one of them might not even recognized her dad yet. Things rumbled when her husband passed away with an unknown disease attacking his brain..

Immediately these few verses pop up in my mind;

Luke 12:16-20 And He told them a parable, saying, The land of a certain rich man brought forth abundantly. And he reasoned in himself, saying, What shall I do, for I have no place where I may gather my crops? And he said, I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and I will gather there all my wheat and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; rest, beat, drink, be merry. But God said to him, Foolish one, this night they are requiring your soul from you; and the things which you have prepared, whose will they be?

Luke 12:22-24 And He said to His disciples, Therefore I say to you, Do not be anxious for your life, what you should eat; nor for your body, what you should put on; For the life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens. They neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn; yet God nourishes them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!

Our life is in the hand of our creator - the Almighty God. I shall be reminded that "Life is more than food, and the body more than clothing." I can pursue a lot of things yet I shall not forget to nurture my Body, Heart, Mind and Spirit for something eternal.

Thank God. This year~ We all are back.. The complete good number of 7.

Back to hometown celebrating Rabbit Year with my dearest family. My parents are kinda traditional one~ they prefer own cooked reunion dinner rather than having it at restaurant for one reason - healthier.

Do enjoy ourselves mingling around - once a year gathering.

Not much photos taken this year as we all have our own program.

Delizze

2011-01-03T14:49:00.001+08:00

Yun and few of the postgraduate friends visited the Delizze few months ago as a farewell to Mr Aminur and his wife prior to their departure to USM to further their study there.

The menu for Delizze

Here are the few types of food that we ordered. The price range from RM 14-18 for the main dish.

Yun's mushroom soup. Not as what Yun had expected. RM 7.50. Rating 4/10.

Soup of the day RM 3.50.

Overall comment for the Delizze is 7/10 for the environment is good~ just a bit lacking in the food especially the pasta and salad.. kinda disappointing.. For the burger and sandwishes.. it taste quite good.

Remember, if you plan to visit Delizze during the peak season make sure you book first.

Bit and pieces of Year 2010_Part 1

2010-12-24T17:30:00.004+08:00

Have a sudden thought of counting the blessings that Yun had had this year~ It had been a year that make me grew a lot.
Yun had gone through lots of throne and thistles. Thank God for the never falling grace that keep me to abide in Him. I had been rebellious, stubborn and egoist.. but He caused me to see that no matter what conditions I was in He loves and He will love to the end.

Well, it's exactly one more week to bid goodbye to year 2010 and welcoming the new year, 2011.

Start counting one by one and see how well or how bad Yun's performed this year.

Let's see~ in case I've forgotten.

Few weeks after Yun got her handsome dear babe. First 'C'.

CAR~

Taking good care of Yun's babe is really not an easy job. First time Yun felt like a grown up daughter start taking up the responsibility to take care of expensive goods. Actually, dad decided to buy a car for me because of my work loads and health conditions.. Could you imagine I have been losing weight tremendously in 6 months time from 54kg to poor little 47kg. The bonds on my ribs could easily visible.

All because of my master works and some other personal matters. Haiz~ A not smooth sailing process but I've learn so many things practically besides those were written on textbooks.

Hmm~ Thank God for His grace and mercy.

This year Yun had visited few places in Kuching, the cultural village, Damai Beach, Serikin, Semengoh Wildlife Rehabilitation centre, Kampung Benuk, Permai Rainforest, Santubong and Matang Family Park. (Ops~ just realised that lots of the post not yet done~ hmm~ )

With some of the international students at the cultural village.

Serikin

Some of the postgraduate friends who encourages and accompany me through all the difficulties.

Together with postgraduate friends visiting my main supervisor Dr Linda during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In May, Yun together with few sisters visited Kuala Lumpur, Melacca, Johore and Singapore. A 4 in 1 trip also known as Yun's graduation trip. It's really a fruitful traveling together with the dearest sisters.

Genting

Melacca

Singapore

Johore

Ops~ The sharing on the trip is not done yet...

To cut thing short Yun decided to share the link instate of lengthy wordings..

Yun get her second 'C' Camera.

Her second dear babe Canon 500d.

Yun attended Ivy's weeding and became the camera woman for the event.

Yun graduated from her master degree in Unimas 14th Convocation.

and of course tonnes of foods that Yun had enjoyed.

FOOD. ^^

Not to forget also all types of blending with all the saints.

And eventually Yun perm her hair for the very first time in her life.

Look weird ~ anyway..
That's in brief what Yun went through for the past year.

Bla Bla Bla

2010-12-18T00:11:00.000+08:00

This is the 200th posts for this year. I'm not sure whether this will be the last closing post for this year.

I'm not sure what to share as I got such a complicated feelings. From the start of the meeting till the end, I was just like an idiot, a stranger in the midst of 'normal people'. I felt so awkward, thinking of escape but I still manage to hold to the end and leave with a smile carved on my face. I really wonder since when I began to put on mask whenever there is a meeting.

I don't know whether what I did just now is right? I just have the feeling that I am not going to do it alone. Eventually, I remained silence when it was my turn to sing the hymn.

Not going to describe it in details ~

In short, I am lost.. Totally lost and scare of weird practice.

Gosh ~ what happened to me?

OMG OMG~ Yun's hair got struck by Lightning

2010-12-14T00:02:00.001+08:00

Yun accompanied a friend to get her hair perm.. Hmmm~ Too bad in the end Yun was influenced by the offer that the saloon provide.. (could you resists 50% off for one person if you come in pair?). In the end Yun get her hair perm as well.

This was done at Artist (near Travillion) by Jericho (a famous stylist in Kuching).

Hmm~ Guess what was Yun's expression when Yun saw her hair..

OMG~ Can you please make it a little bit flatter???

Jericho looked at me in unbelievable and shock mode..

Well, I suppose this is called perm~~

Share with Yun's reader current Yun's hair style.

Front view

Side view_1

Side View_2.

How do you feel about Yun's hair?

Sadly to say, Yun's still getting use to the new hair style..

Kinda weird for d very first time with curly hair after 25 years of straight hair~

Anyway, getting a new hairstyle for the new year and a new start.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance. ^^

A Visit to Serikin

2010-12-10T15:16:00.000+08:00

If you plan to visit Sarawak, then Serikin is a must visit place. It is situated at the boundary of Kuching and Kalimantan. It is best know for cheap local products and Indonesia's. The journey from the Kuching town to Serikin takes about 1-1.5 hours.

I paid a visit to Serikin beginning of this year together with some of the local and international postgraduate students. We stop by Pekan Padawan to have our breakfast before heading to Serikin.

After the breakfast, we continue our journey to Serikin. Share with all my readers some of the captures that I got from the visit. From the clothes to ...

Watches..

To grocery..

Dried prawn.

Fruits..

Decoration..

Oven

And other local vegetables. To bad Yun dun even know some of the vegetables.. look unfamiliar to me.

The pumpkin, petai, kunyit and bla bla bla...

We also took the opportunity to take some photos with the soldiers.

Random capture with some of the friends who join the trip.

Retired Extremely Dangerous (R.E.D)

2010-11-11T11:49:00.001+08:00

What will you do when you felt frustrated?

Well, this few days I was filled with unsolvable problems and questions. Tonnes of shit stinking my life. Fell like gonna shouting, scolding.. bla bla bla.. but in the end I swallowed all into my stomach.

Thank God I still survive.

Reaching the ultimate level of frustration.. I took lots of ice-cream and chocolates but it doesn't help. Thanks for the movie. The Retired Extremely Dangerous (RED) that make me laugh and leave behind all the frustrations.

This is really a must watch movie. Dunno why I just simply love it.

Brief description to the movie.

When his idyllic life is threatened by a high-tech assassin, former black-ops agent Frank Moses reassembles his old team in a last ditch effort to survive.

The scene is nicely built. I was amazed at the technology of making the movie. The very second that really hold my breath.

Below is the trailer for RED. Enjoy.

I love Frank Moses aka Bruce Willis.

He is just so man and so handsome with the character that he held.

真實

2010-10-06T12:34:00.000+08:00

The dim Future

2010-09-01T15:46:00.000+08:00

I've realized that the step that I am about to trod is the hardest among those I have had.

I am not sure why there is such an instinct.

It's just a freaking feeling and sound within me..

a great power that hold me back.

Someone is calling and holding me back.

Someone is calling for my help.

Someone is moaning.

Someone is hoping.

BUT

When I turn back.. I could see no one.

I'm wonder who is that!

I wondered if it is he.

But I dare not think...

I have gone so far,

It's too late to start everything all over again.

Don't ask me why?

I do not know the reasons and I do not have the answer.

and

I'm scare.

Can you please assure me?

ELSE

Can you please leave me alone?

You can only choose one.

The Best Love for The Lord

2010-08-26T18:53:00.000+08:00

Loving You, Lord's all I'm living for;
Loving You, Lord, to the uttermost.
Lord, forgive me if I've left my first love,
That's the bridal love to You.
You are more than anyone I love.
You are more than anything I have,
Even my dear self; nothing can compare
To my beloved Bridegroom.

I give You the first place in all things by faith.
Let nothing take Your place in all my heart.
Infuse me with Yourself abundantly
'Til we meet, dear Lord.
I'll love You with the best love.

You've the right to take all that I love,
But replace it with Yourself much more.
You are what I need, give Yourself to me,
Do not give all that I want.
Everything is sure to pass away,
Everyone is going their own way.
But I still have You and You have me too,
Loving one another's sweet.

I treasure my time alone with You,
Just to gain the best love You long for.
My dearest Husband, draw me with Yourself
Into Your chambers right now.
Be the first in all my work and life,
Be the first in all my service too.
In relationships, You must be the first;
Have preeminence in me.

This is one of the hymns that I love the most. The hymns that encourages me and lead me unto the path full of thorns and thistles.

I'm not sure how others view on my - a bold and dare trying gal?

By the way, every time when I came of the juncture of my life, I'm scare! Just like ordinary gal, I'm scare on the way before me. But who knows? Who cares?

Lots of pressure was put on me recently and for sure I was suffocated. But who can I turn to?

Thank God. When I take Him as the head, all things is well..

"Be the first in all my work and life,
Be the first in all my service too."

There is nothing I could do but trusted myself in the hand of God. He is there, leading me through the whatever path that He had laid before me.
