Once you start getting friends just send them a message telling them that you're using this cool social network website that is similar to myspace and the cool part is they will pay them to use it. Send them the message once you start getting the friends before you have over 200 friends, that will take you forever to message all of them. If you're thinking you can send to all you friends with the bulletin, it won't work because I tried it. You bulletin will get pushed down in a minute or two off from the face of the bulletin when you have a lot of friends or they have a lot of friends. Don't forget to include your splash page URL or you won't get credit for your referrals.

Referral Report Week 4

I forgot to post a referral report last week because its nearing the last day of my college life. I'm extremely busy with group meetings and group projects. So Referral Report Week 3 won't be posted. Here is the current status of the number of referrals.

In the last referral report I have 37 referrals. Two weeks later I have 46 referrals, but the thing is they have not been slowly accumulated within the last two weeks. The nine referrals was from telling my friends in myspace.

Spam Does Work, But Is It Worth It?

One of my "friends" in YUWIE have gotten over 500+ level 1 referrals from promoting her referral URL in places like FaceBook, forums, and other social networking websites. She got all these referral without spending a single penny, but with a lot of effort joining a lot of groups and forums posting her referral URL.

So is it worth it to post your referral URL in at a bunch of different groups within one social network? Some people may get away with this, but there are always haters out there that will get your YUWIE account deleted. You'll lose all your referrals and the hard work you acquired in YUWIE. So all those referrals down the drain. When you post your YUWIE referral URL at places that aren't related at all that is called spamming and YUWIE doesn't tolerate it. They actually send out a message to all YUWIE members a month or two back that they will get their account deleted if they are reported or caught spamming.

I know its very tempting, but its not worth it if you are planning on going for the long run with YUWIE. Even if you can't get a lot of referrals, you might be able to get 1 or 2 referrals per month. Maybe a few of your referrals will do the same and refer their friends. The idea is not to be tempted for these.

Let me get one thing straight, its OK to post your YUWIE referral URL at related groups such as "Make Money Online", "Networking Socially", "Dating" groups because in a way YUWIE is kind of related to them. It should be OK to mention your YUWIE URL in there, but don't use put your YUWIE referral URL and that's it. Make sure you try to relate to the group and then just mention your YUWIE and what its about.

I may be late, but I deliver. Here is the week 2 referral report. I stopped using Adwords to promote YUWIE, I just thought to myself if I spend $1.00 per referral that would take a long time to return so I decided to look into free methods of promoting.

I decided, it won't hurt to invite all my friends. It turns out it works quite well. I got a few of my friends to join, while the majority ignored me, but something is better than nothing. I'm still trying to figure.

This is the first article to help this blog get to the highest ranking possible for long tailed key phrases. I just learned about this and I hope it works. If it works, it'll definitely bring in on coming referrals for YUWIE.

YUWIE is a myspace alternative, its pretty much a duplicate of it. When I first found out about YUWIE, it used myspace and only myspace to get people to sign up. If you think about it, they have very good idea to bring in a surge of traffic and advertisers by paying people per page view they earn when people look at the stuffs.

MySpace is kind of afraid of YUWIE and they see them as a competitor. When you try to promote your YUWIE referral URL. It will just link back to myspace's homepage. Myspace has blocked any URL with a YUWIE domain. Don't even try to use TINYURL to try to trick their system because it won't work.

Some smart folks at YUWIE have created nice splash pages, which are alternative referral URL, that are made by a third party so myspace doesn't know about it. Well, at least not yet. If you want to promote in myspace, you should definitely get yourself a splash page. Don't worry is free, you just need to change or add something in the URL.

Disable Content Network in Adwords

Content Network in Adwords is very ineffective. I already spent around $8.00 on it and no one signed up for YUWIE. I think I can pretty pretty much wrap out promoting with Content Network. Hasn't even got one sign up while promoting with Content Network. It's like 0 sign ups per $8.00. That's terrible.

1. To disable Content Network click the "Edit campaign settings" shown below.

Click "Edit campaign settings"

2. At the next page you see the Network section somewhere on the right side, which look something like the picture below. Uncheck Content network if you see it checked.

3. After that just "Save Changes" at the bottom left.

The potential of YUWIE is mind boggling. The 10 level referral they give to member is a gift. A lot of people each day is taking advantage of the opportunity of YUWIE to give them financial freedom without spending much money on advertisement. Since YUWIE is 100% free its easier to convert people to members than trying to sell them affiliated products.

Check the pictures below. It makes good motivation. It's not mines, but eventually I'll get there. There are more than enough prospects out there because YUWIE's total member is only has a population of 250,000 members at the time of this post.

Once you find those few referrals that also see the potential in YUWIE, you just sit back and watch your referrals grow each day. Like John Chow said for his Algoco referrals, "I couldn't stop it even if I want to."

Thanks to the Grand Master, a member of YUWIE, he created a splash page that works for any member no matter new or old that won't get banned by MySpace, atleast not yet. So if you have a MySpace account you can no post your alternative YUWIE referral URL.

Here is the URL:

Replace "Your_YUWIE_User_Name" with the user name you signed up with in YUWIE. Here is an example.

My username is "forever109" so I would modify the URL to like like this:

So here it is, you can use this alternative referral URL that the Grand Master made to promote in MySpace and other places that banned YUWIE referral links, which looks something like this:

Not Effective Advertising

Adwords - Content Networking - Very Ineffective, got over 130 clicks and no one signed up to YUWIE. Content Networking are clicks generated from other people's website. Averaged $0.01 per click a lot less than Search Network. Cost $1.49 for the 130 clicks . I get better results with Search Network in Adwords, which is about $0.83 per sign up.

How To Get Notification of Friend Request, etc

Be default when you sign up for YUWIE, your account will have all notifications unchecked. This in my opinion is not a very good idea on YUWIE's part. Sites like MySpace, Friendster, Facebook, etc has default notification on for everything such as getting notify through email that someone left you a comment, sent a message, friend request, etc.

If you want to turn the notification on in your YUWIE account click on Account Settings shown below.

Click Account Settings

When you get to the next screen, you'll see something like this show below:

Click "Notification Settings" Link

At the next screen shown below, just check whatever kind of notification and then save it.

How To Get PageViews in YUWIE

If you want to earn money with YUWIE, don't just sign up and forget about it. You won't make any money if your profile has nothing for people to look at. I suggest uploading as much of your pictures as possible. the more pictures you upload the more page views you will get and the more page views means the higher the earnings.

Add Friends or Get Referrals
If you don't have any friends, the chance of you stuffs getting view is slim to nothing. So try to add as much friends as possible. Don't get discourage if you get rejected. The more friends you have, the higher the chances of your stuffs getting viewed. The more page views you get, the more money you'll make. I been doing like 10 friend request per day for the past 10 days and now I have over 80 extra friends that gives me page views every day.

Be Active
Give you friends comment, post in Notice that you added a new picture or blog post. When you do this your chance of getting page views is very high. Let's say you try to add 400 friends per day and a week after you joined, you have about 1000 friends that accepted your friend request. When you post a Notice, probably 50% of you friends will look at your stuff resulting in 500 page views just from that notice you post up.

This is the first report and I will be displaying a report each week starting from this post. I started aggressively promoting it late afternoon today and have gained about 6 referrals.

Today I only used Adwords to promote my YUWIE referral URL and have gained about 5 referrals. I'm actually promoting my sisiter's YUWIE referral URL so that we both benefit since its 10 level referral earnings. So only spent $5.00 dollars today. So it costs about $0.83 per referral.

I don't really like getting guaranteed sign ups because most of the people that signs up under you will just sign up and never use it again, but I'm pretty sure that at least 5% will be active. I would be better of sticking with advertising places that worked for me. Guaranteed sign-ups just don't work well in general.

Google Adwords - The conversion for the Search Network is about 1 referral for every 10 clicks of your referrals URL. Keywords to use: Social Networking, Business Networking, Dating, Find Friends, Online Friends. Use $5.00 daily budget and $0.50 bid per click. You'll probably be charge from $0.03 to $0.25 per click by Google. Don't use Content Network.
