Our universe is very large and constantly expanding. There still remain many things which mankind needs to discover. Camera has captured quite a lot of material in recent years regarding planets and galaxies. Here are some of the most incredible photographs from the space.

Photographs from the space have continued to amaze common people as well as astronomists. Some photographs remain a matter of speculation and amazement while others have been carefully studied to reveal the secrets of the past. Here are some photographs for space captured perfectly by top-notch equipment.

1. The Perfect Nebula – Master Piece

The following photograph has been captured with precision and brilliant technique. At first look, it seems as if a horseman is attacking his enemy. After carefully scrutinizing it becomes clear that it is actually a space dust cloud close to a shining star.

2. The Red Eye – Danger in Space

The space is vast enough to encompass human knowledge. The following red bubble is truly alarming to an ordinary spectator. The perfection with which the bubble has covered a very huge area is commendable. The image looks 3-D due to the level of photography.

3. The Second Earth – Earthlings or Martians?

At first look, it seems that one is viewing a large tree from the aerial view. However, one eventually realizes in a few moments that this photograph is of a new planet. The clouds and green grass are very convincing. It is quite interesting to note the fact that the region is surrounded by water.

4. The Twisted Supernova- Red and Black Ashes

The entire space consists of several billions stars, clustered into galaxies. Like our galaxy, the Milky Way, there are other galaxies which have dying stars.

Sometimes a large star converts to supernova before dying and sucks other stars in it. The following supernova is quite large and powerful.

5. The Lost Space Craft

Out of so many planets in the universe, a star is visited by a strange space craft. The photograph is very interesting and convincing due to its realistic feel and brilliant designing. The planet appears to be one present in the solar system, perhaps Jupiter or Pluto.

6. The Planet with Rings – Saturn

Saturn is the only known planet with a ring around it. The ring is not real, but it is in fact a cluster of small meteors and rocks circled around the planet. The photograph is beautiful in every manner. The planet`s color is crisp and outer rings of less rock can also be seen.

7. Galaxy of Stars – We Are Not Alone

Among the various forces of nature, one is gravity. Gravity is when objects with large masses attract each other. Galaxies are held together by the same force of planets acting on each other. The following photograph is a prime example of how stars are held together no matter how much one star shines or not.

8. A Strange Home – Bizarre Surface

Most of us watch science fiction movies and see how well built the surface of other planets is one it is inhabited by humans or aliens. However, the truth is stranger and different from what we see in movies. The surface of this planet is barren and destroyed, with no signs of life.

9. No Way Out – Honey Comb Structure

The bizarre honey comb structure shown in the photograph is very intriguing. The way it has been developed, curiosity on part of the spectator rises. The photograph shows a cluster of yellow colored rocks and only a small part of outer space is visible.

10. A Planet Far Away

Parasitic organisms are one of the most horrifying creatures in existence. Let it be in movies or in comic books, parasites have gained a reputation of being deadly. Reality is not much different. Today, we present to you the most famous and deadly of zombie parasites to ever exist. Data on these parasites have been collected by hard work of years. Have a look.

1. Fish Flukes – Parasites in Water

Fish flukes are one of the most well known parasites. These parasites are found in lakes where they attach themselves to a fish. Fish Flukes are transferred from one lake or pond to another by the help of birds. When a bird like a Pelican or Eagle attack a fish, these parasites are transported from one place to another. In some cases, the fish are swollen due to these parasites which cause infection. This makes the fish easy to be spotted and attracts birds.

2. Strepsipteran – Parasite Fly

Another addition to the most incredible and horrifying zombie parasites is the Strepsipteran. The male Strepsipteran searches for a female Strepsipteran for mating. The female parasite is found in another insect, with only her head sticking out. She releases a pheromone to attract the male. After mating, the female parasite lays small live larvae which are developed further.

3. Gordian Worm – A Lethal Parasite

Gordian worms are found in lakes. These worms attach themselves to cricket to develop and once the worm is fully developed, the worm dives in the water after strangling the cricket once it lands on water.

Gordian worms spend a lot of time feeding of other hosts and survive through this process alone.

4. Leucochloridium – Spreading Through Droppings

Leucochloridium is a very bizarre parasitic organism in existence today. The parasite attaches itself to the body of a snail and makes it appear attractive. When a bird, most notably the Song Bird attacks the snail, it rips of its head in which the parasite lives. The head is in reality a sack of fat and the parasite transports itself through bird droppings once the bird eats the head. In the meanwhile, the snail grows back to normal and the process repeats.

5. Sacculina – Mind Controlling Parasite

The Sacculina is one worm which attaches itself to a crab and grows until it is mature enough. During the mating process, the crab is mentally controlled to behave like a female. Upon mating, the Sacculina multiplies and the offspring often appears as a crab. In initial stages, the Sacculina appears to be very small, however it grows steadily.

6. Ribeirioa – Deforming Tadpoles

Ribeirioa is easily the most horrible of all parasites on the list. It usually attaches itself to a tadpole and infects it, causing bizarre deformities. The deformities are usually extreme and cause physical problems for the tadpole. It may cause the frog to grow extra limbs and cause body to be damaged. This causes problems in swimming and escaping predators. In return, the Ribeirioa is given a free flight to another pond by the bird that eats the tadpole/frog.

7. Pseudacteon – The Ultimate Parasite

Pseudacteon kills the host by infecting it slowly. The host is usually an ant whose brain is eaten by the Pseudacteon after infection. In the head, a maggot starts to nurture. The ant does not die completely. The ant`s body remains alive and wanders until the head is dropped. It is in this head, which the maggot will use as a transformation chamber and convert into a new fly.

8. Cordyceps – Parasite Warrior!

Cordyceps fight to survive in the body of various insects and tiny bugs. This parasite survives by killing their target and sprout in a mushroom. After this process, some spores are released. In most cases, the parasite kills their victim around dawn so germination process can be carried out easily in moist air. Cordyceps remain one of the most deadly and effective parasites currently known to man.

9. Lancet Fluke – Enemy of the Ants

The Lancet Fluke enters the body of a cow. Once the cow drops feces, snails eat it. The Lancet Fluke, now in the snail`s body attack the snail from inside, causing the snail to leave a slimy ball of waste. This slime ball attracts ants, which eat it. Once the ant eats it, the Lancet Fluke takes control of the ant. The ant is controlled to bit grass and so it is eaten by a cow. If the ant is not eaten, the same process is repeated until the cow swallows the ant.

10. Glyptapenteles – The king of Parasites

Glyptapenteles is a parasite associated with caterpillars. The larvae attached with the caterpillar. Once attached, it devours on the caterpillar only partially. After the cocoon develops, the caterpillar guards it with its silk. This process continues until the cocoon matures. It is then, when the caterpillar dies of exhaustion and the parasite survives.

1. Pope Leo X (1475 – 1521) – A Bizarre Pope

2. Pope Boniface VIII (1235 – 1303) – Power Corrupts

Pope Boniface came to power after being elected as a Cardinal Priest. He later became Pope, after the Pope Celestine`s abdication. Pope Boniface`s era is best known for his feuds which the king of France, Philips IV and the Colonna family. Pope Boniface aimed for political power which he failed to achieve as he desired.

Pope Clement VI is another Pope who was regarded as a “sinner among sinners” as his era is best remembered for the Pope`s sexual pursuits and for power. Pope Clement used his power to influence internal affairs of his state. Apart from this, the fact remains that Pope Clement was very extravagant and his large spending caused restoration of taxes. Pope Clements’s only notable achievement was his efforts during “Black Plague” for the Jewish people.

4. Pope Julius III (1487 – 1555) – Pope For Power

Pope Urban II is perhaps one of the most hated Popes in history. After coming to power in 1010, Pope Urban ordered a large-scale war against Muslims which is now known as the First Crusades.

Pope Stephen VI`s papacy is not very known by most people. Those who have knowledge regarding Pope Stephen`s papacy know very well how bizarre his era was. The Pope ordered the body of an official to be put on trial. The incident is known as the Cadaver Synod. The body was accused of perjury and acting as bishop after being disposed.
Pope Alexander rose to power due to his uncle Pope Calixtus III`s generosity. Pope Alexander quickly rose through the ranks of Pontiff and Cardinal, gaining mass wealth in the process. Alexander amassed wealth unlawfully and murdered or bribed his papacy rivals. Pope Alexander VI is well-known for having at least seven illegitimate children from his mistresses who were all well rewarded on the expense of the church.

Have a look at the most famous Santa Clause legends from around the world.

Santa is one of the most enchanting and inspiring figures related to festivities. Santa Clause has always been the perfect father-like figure for most children. In reality, there are several legends related to the Santa Clause. Santa Clause has been linked to several different traditions and customs in different countries. Have a look at the most famous Santa Clause legend from around the world.

1. Tomte – Scandinavian Santa

Tomte is a Scandinavian form of Santa Clause which was primarily believed to exist in countries such as Norway, Sweden and Finland. Tomte was a small and weak man who visited families on Christmas and gave them gifts. A legend has it that this Santa played tricks on bad farmers and generously gifted those people who lived a good and pious life.

2. The Yule Lads – Santa Family!

Another bizarre addition to the Santa Clause legend is the Yule Lads. The Yule Lads are thirteen mischievous Santa-like creatures who give gifts to children on Christmas. The legend of the Yule Lads has completely over shadowed the usual Santa Clause in Iceland. Yule Lads are known for playing tricks on people and due to their playful nature, they are adored by most people.

3. Christ Kind – Baby Jesus for Christmas

The ChristKind legend is related to the Jesus Christ who was the son of Holy Mary. This form of Santa is considered very pure and kind. Christ Kind`s reign is in countries in Western Europe including parts of Germany and even Brazil. The gift giving style of Christ Kind is simple. He does not give any gifts at all. Instead, people honor this holy figure with gifts of appreciation to the Church.

4. Pere Noel and La Pere – Santa from France

Papa Noel is a famous Santa Clause like figure which is believed in countries like France. Instead of using a Reindeer, Papa Noel uses a Donkey for riding. The Donkey is known as Gui.

La Pere Fouettard is also a French character who is generally known as the “whipping Santa”. Both of these Santa Clause legends leave gifts in shoes near the fireplace.

5. Belsnickel – Santa`s Assistant for 7 Countries!

Belsnickel is a person associated with the traditional Santa Clause. He is actually the person who guides the team and disciplines all other Santa Clause`s helpers. Belsnickel`s appearance resembles to that of a mountain man who carries a stick in one hand and wears thick and rugged cloths.

6. Le Bafana – The Witch from Italy

Le Bafana is a woman who is similar to Santa Clause in all ways. Le Bafana is believed to exist in Italy where she visits children and gives them gifts. Moreover, Le Bafana is described as a kind woman who helps people and gives them good. She travels on a broomstick and carries of sack on her back, containing goods.

7. Ded Moroz and the Snow Maiden – Russian Santa Clause

Russia has always had a history of making a name in all fields of science and work. Similarly, Russia and her satellite states of Ukraine, Poland and Serbia have their own Santa Clause legend in form of Ded Moroz and the Snow Maiden. In past descriptions, Ded Moroz is described as an evil man who slowly changed and started to gift children on Christmas. In later depictions, he was accompanies by a Snow Maiden to deliver Christmas goods.

8. Krampus – Santa Clause`s Evil Accomplice

Krampus is a German word which means “the claw”. Santa Clause legend is related to joy and enjoyment in most countries. However, Santa Clause`s sidekick Krampus, is a blood thirsty creature who beats kids who misbehave and lie. The creature has influence in parts of Bavaria and Austria.

9. Sinterklaas and Black Peter – Dutch Version of Santa

Sinterklaas is a Dutch version of the famous Santa Clause who gives gifts to children on Christmas. In most depictions, he enjoys company with good kids and has a sidekick known as the Black Peter. Sinterklass gives gifts to children in a bag which is left near the fireplace every Christmas.

10. Father Christmas – The Daddy Santa!

Father Christmas is just as famous or even more than the Sinterklaas. The origin of Father Christmas dates back to 14th century. He was a man who gave blessings to people but slowly, his role changed and from a Green robe, his cloths became a Red dress and he began distributing gifts. Father Christmas is famous all over Europe and he delivers gifts with a team of reindeers and elves for assistance.

Fireplaces have always added beauty and charm to a home`s living room. Over the course of time, some unique and beautiful fireplace concepts have emerged. The most prominent of these are having long chimneys with a glass covered flame and grilled fireplace. Have a look at these stunning and impressive fireplaces.

A good fireplace can add to the beauty and elegance of a person`s house. People have experimented with fireplaces to make them look extraordinary and comfortable. Using different types of material for creating the fire, one may actually limit the smoky-flame caused by a fire. Some fireplaces are very unique and truly amazing. Have a look at some of the most sophisticated and well-built fireplaces.

1. Living Room Enigma – Fireplace and Television

The high-tech living room design has been made considering housing needs regarding a fireplace. The fireplace present in the complicated structure is ideal for keeping the living room warm while family members bond together and watch television together.

2. Coffee Table Fireplace – Compact Fireplace

One may regard having a fireplace on the coffee table as absolutely bizarre. However, this new and innovative technique actually saves living room space and costs for wood. Somebody living in a cold country can surely benefit from such a stylish coffee table and fireplace, both in the same cost.

3. Japanese Customs – Fireplace on the Shelf

Though unrealistic, the concept of having a very neat and compact fireplace on the book shelf is decent.

The shelf appears to be very appealing with books at one side of the division while a fireplace at the other compartment. The only drawback with this fireplace is the damage to walls due to heat.

4. Glass and Fire – A Blend of Nature

Another good idea would be to use heat-proof glass to contain a fire, in the process creating a fireplace. The idea used to architects and designers is to provide a feasible environment for the fireplace so it does not take up much space, appears dangerous or untidy. The special matt finish on the coffee table ensures the fire does not expand even if the glass is damaged.

5. Coffee Mugs and Fire – Innovative Ideas

Who does not like coffee in a cold and dry weather? However, only a few people would have heard about having a fireplace inside a coffee mug. The coffee mugs have been made by a strong ceramic and fiber compound. The cups come in various colors and can be placed anywhere after being ignited from the inside.

6. Perfect Fireplace – Perfect Living Room

By having a fireplace being covered by glass, one does not need to hide the beauty of the flame. A decent and well designed fireplace actually adds to the beauty of the living room. In this case, the fireplace is inside a glass walled compartment. Everybody in the living room can enjoy a cost atmosphere inside and directly enjoy the brilliant lilac flames.

7. Dinner Time and Fireplace Stand

Nothing is better than having all the family members attend lunch or dinner together. The amazingly built fireplace is almost in reach of all family members. Being just behind the dinner table, the fireplace can successfully keep all family members cozy during lunch or dinner hours and create a mesmerizing atmosphere.

8. The Dome of Fire – Fireplace in a Shell

The concept of having a fireplace separately is not new. The following fireplace has been built using ceramics and tiles. The location of this fireplace is unique, as it has been made in the garden. The brilliant fireplace has an entrance for people who want to enjoy a cozy and warm atmosphere.

9. The Tall Chimney – Living Room Wonders

It is not hard to realize the fact that venting out the fireplace`s smoke is a great idea. Unlike using the unsafe traditional chimney with wooden logs, a strong gas supply has been used. The flame is covered by strong glass walls which are extended towards the ceiling by a fiber-made chimney.

10. Simple and Sleek – Fireplace Behind the Grill

The idea of having a fireplace behind a grilling is decent and suitable to many. People who cannot afford long and fancy chimneys and glass walls may choose a suitable grill design. The chimney may be placed in the dining area or in the living room. Through the grilling, only a partial flame is seen, enhancing the beauty of the fireplace.

Qin Shi Huang was the only emperor who unified China. The Terracotta Army was found in 1947 from the King`s tomb. The importance of this discovery is reflected by the fact that the statuette carvings depict the way of life followed by soldiers and the weapons used in war.

3. The Royal Library of Ashurbanipal – Royal Text
