Love architecture, both passive and active. Love for its fantastic, advanterous, and solemn creations; for its rigorous, voluntary and allusive that enchant our spirit and beguile our thought. Love architecture, the stage and the support of our life.

Love it for the immensely glorious, immemorial human effort to which it is not an attachment or supplement to architectural design but a design process that integrated with architectural design.

Love passive and active design. Together they have created that never closing theater, gigantic, pathetic and legendary, in which we are the actor-spectators, alive and natural in a setting that is real invented, but real where day and night, the sun and the moon, clear and cloudy skies, wind and rain, tempest and snow perform in turn, where life and death, speldour and misery, goodness and crime, peace and war, creation and desctruction, wisdom and maddness, youth and old age INTERVENE side by side. Architecture sets the stage of History life-size. It speaks all languages.

Love passive and active design, their intervention presence makes the epochs of man appear as one in time. They have created a balance of both.

Love architecture for the joys and sorrows that have been protected by its walls, for all these walls have heard (if walls could only speak) and have kept secret. Love it for the lives that have been lived within these confines, love it for permitting the wind to pass through its openings and unbroken thatched. Love it for its protection from the floods, heavy rain and for allowing bird chirping into the bedrooms.

Love passive design for the miracles it has performed all around us. Let us think once more of Malay ancestors traditional house, of sublime structures made by indigenous carvings. Of its ‘lean construction’ that provides functional and private beauty that existed because of the exceptional drive, the dream, the authenticity that originated them.

Love active design for its share, its ideals and efforts, its new innovative technology, its desire to be prophetic and to be recognized. Love active design for its striving toward solving today’s issues, of global warming, excessive heats, excessive cold and unpredictable climate.

Love active design and the marvelous materials it uses- plastic, ETFE, EFE, Steel, glass, air-conditioned, water-heater. Demand of them they honour your work with buildings of the utmost technological intelligence. Demand of them superb mega buildings for your fairy-tales imagination,

Demand of them always an architecture full of HUMAN comprehension, glowing with imagination, clear, essential and pure BUT the question is to INTERVENE, INTERCONNECT, INNOVATE both PASSIVE and ACTIVE design… and finally to honour the MANKIND and the UNIVERSE…

Men's Guide to get 'well dressed' this Raya

As a well groomed men, you need more then bulk of ringgit to look polished on the 'BIG DAY'. Some of the tips that I can share is to pay attention to details.

Here are some of the tips to get well dressed during Hari Raya..;)

1) Play by the rules, if it doesn't fit just loose it.

Expensive clothes doesn't mean you get the pearl,

Loose clothes, too tight pants is a no-no

Get a tailor to alter the clothes to be taken in

2) Get it sort out under the iron!

Do not wear wrinkles clothes!

If you don't have time, invest in a wrinkle free fabrics

Put effort to hang the cloth if you are so lazy the get it on board..

3) Get a correct proportion of socks

Get a nice pair of socks

Never use white socks for any other than sports activities

Match your hari raya apparel with darker socks

Every guys must have at least 5 nylon dress socks in his drawer!

4) Accessorize yourself

It takes more than five hours to accessorize your car this festive season

BUT, it takes less than 5 seconds to accessorize yourself

try to polish yourself with some accessory like

fancy watch, ring, sunglass or cuff links

5) Less is MORE

Don't clash with busy stripes!

Match patterned shirt with plain pants

Pattern pants with Plain shirt

Plain Baju Melayu with pattern songket

Remember..!

Clashing is a MAJOR fashion disaster

6) Avoid the Sneakers

Sneakers wears are so yesteryears

No matter how cool and handsome you are,

“…Most Malays don’t give two hoots about Tanah Melayu, Ketuanan Melayu or Special Rights, because it does not exist. We also got bored waiting for these rights to be transferred to us. We just want a decent life, job, a brighter, predictable future. And the Right to practise our Religion free of encumbrance.

We are a loosely knit race that comprises mixed Javanese, Sumatran, Indian, Hunanese, Thai and Middle East blood bound together by our Religion Islam. And yet in the INTERLOK novel we branded other communities as Pariahs.

And if there is a Special Right, I think I would want to have the Right to mingle freely with our Chinese and Indian friends, step into a church and listen with interest to their choirs singing Christmas Carols, drop by a Chinese temple, and observe the monks chanting their mantras, or to an Indian Temple to see how they worship. And to drop by the Pub, for a glass of cold Coke, without feeling a little peculiar.

I want the right to tell all our fellow citizens that we do not harbour any ill will against them, that we are just like them and that we will always stand by them.

Twenty-two years in power, and yet so many of our kin still live in misery. We are not asking for utter riches, just a decent life, but many Malays still live in utter misery, and in such contrast to the Super rich Umnoputras.

And in the last election, many Malays were abandoning BN in droves, and now the ruling elite are not confident anymore of retaining their power, and has started to take drastic measures to regain their support.

Lastly, keep this in mind. There is no racism in Malaysia; 99 per cent of Malaysians are not racist. We are too busy living our lives than to check on our neighbours.

It is the 1 per cent who is desperately clinging on to power, bent on staying, and who will do anything at any cost, even selling their souls to the devil, that is causing all this ruckus about Racism in this country.

The 1 per cent of Malays, Chinese and Indians who are about to be given the boot, are shouting Ketuanan Melayu and Ketuanan What not!!

Malays, in their right mind, are not going to support this bunch of losers, that’s why they say that the Malays are split between Umno and PAS. And the blame was put on poor old Nik Aziz, who became the scapegoat for splitting the Malays.

In his little village, 75-year-old Pak Mat rises from his prayer mat and steps out onto the veranda. He looks out to a dawn that is breaking and reflects on the significance of the day. In a few hours he will be there to march for free and fair elections. .

Mak Su joins him and he sees the tears before she hastily wipes them away. “Don’t go,” she says imploringly. “What if they beat you up, break your legs, detain you…?”

“I have to,” he replies sombrely. “It’s gone too far. If I don’t do something now, there’ll be no hope for our country and our children’s future. It is my duty to stand up against all the wrongs.”

Pak Mat slips into the bedroom where his five-year-old grandchild sleeps. He brushes the little one’s cheek gently with a feathery kiss and hurries out to the veranda again.

He puts on his sandals , picks up his walking stick and looks at Mak Su. She is weeping.

“What if they shoot you … what if you are killed?” she says brokenly, her weeping giving way to heart-wrenching cries.

Pak Mat takes his wife’s hands in his, and with hope and faith in his heart says, “I will be back. God is on our side

The hudud that only mentioned twice in the Qur'an is not a reference to hudud as a branch of the Islamic criminal system. The word "hudud" has literal and legal or technical meaning. Literally it means "limit" (which the Qur'an says; "...that is the limit of Allah" or the arabic transliteration is; "...tilka hududuLlah"-which, in both verses refer to marital disputes which limit, Allah warns, must not be transgressed by both husbands and wives) while the technical hudud means a set of offences where, upon conviction, the state or judge has no choice but to impose punishments as prescribed by the Qur'an against the offenders. I wonder why PAS leaders (not to mentioned the UMNO) have failed to educate this renegade colleague of theirs. I hope those of you who are so opposed to the idea of an Islamic State to be objective and take the effort to find out what it is all about with an open mind. Islamic state is not about oppressing people but about dispensation of justice and educating the masses. Many of you may not know or believe it but the Islamic legal system is more just than the system that we have been having for the past century. you do not know that the standard of proof required is so high that in some offences, conviction is almost impossible. Also, under the Islamic criminal system the maxim is "it's better to acquit 10 actual offenders than to convict an innocent accused", therefore, conviction is minimal. Please consult a seasoned criminal lawyer on how cavalierly accused are convicted in Malaysia. Also most of you complain about the pervasive injustice in our society but none of you blame the system, only the government leaders but all those leaders are the product of the system that fails. And yes, by quoting the Islamic law as the solution only of the problems besieging human maybe novelty but the truth has never prevailed in the modern society that harassed with crimes and evil doings.

Saya ingin memasuki rumah baru jenis teres berkeluasan 1800 kaki persegi. Saya berniat untuk membina dua ruang dapur iaitu dapur kering dan dapur basah mengikut trend terkini. Soalannya saya ingin mengetahui apakah kekurangan dan kelebihan memiliki 2 dapur berasingan iaitu dapur kering dan basah atau memiliki dapur tunggal. Harap dapat memberi pandangan dan solusi kepada dilemma saya ini.

1. sesuai untuk ruang yang sempit bagi rumah apartment atau teres 1800 kaki persegi ke bawah	Sesuai untuk ruang yang luas rumah 2000 kaki persegi ke atas
2. senang di urus kerana mempunyai satu ruang sahaja,	Ruang eksklusif untuk keperluan tersendiri, contohnya dapur basah digunakan untuk kerja-kerja basah seperti pemotongan, pembasuhan dan masak-memasak manakala dapur kering sebagai tempat santai keluarga untuk sarapan pagi atau minum petang
3. Harga yang murah dan memerlukan aksesori yang minimal.	Boleh menggunakan pelbagai rekaan dan mencuri tumpuan tetamu
4. Sesuai untuk pemilik yang ringkas dan tidak banyak memasak	Sesuai untuk suri rumah yang suka memasak dan keluarga yang besar

Tips-tips bagi merancang pembinan dapur

1) Ketahui ruang yang anda perlukan!

Tanyalah diri sendiri dan jangan terikut2 trend semasa kerana kadang-kadang ia tidak sesuai dengan cara kita. Contohnya; adakah anda seorang yang suka memasak? Adakah anda seorang yang sangat pembersih? Adakah anda seorang yang mementingkan cara hidup dari praktikaliti? Kerana jawapan ini amat penting bagi menetukan pemilihan ruangan dapur.

2) Tetapkan Bajet anda!

Tetapkan bajet pada hari pertama anda melakukan pencarian dapur yang sesuai. Bajet juga berbeza-beza mengikut lokaliti sesuatu tempat. Harga kabinet sekaki persegi di KL mungkin berbeza dari KL (Kuala Lipis). Kalau boleh cari syarikat yang mempunyai kilang mereka sendiri. Secara tidak langsung anda dapat mengurangkan kos ‘orang tengah’.

3) Ketahui material yang sesuai untuk anda!

Anda mungkin sudah mempunyai konsep yang digemari tapi tak tahu material apa yang sesuai. Secara asasnya kabinet dapur terbahagi kepada tiga bahagian penting 1) struktur kabinet 2) Permukaan luar kabinet dan 3) aksesori kebinet.

a) Bagi struktur kabinet adalah digalakkan untuk anda menggunakan plywood yang diperkuat dan sekiranya mampu, boleh menggunakan kayu solid namun ada juga yang menawarkan material yang lebih murah seperti MDF board namun berhati-hati kerana ia tidak sesuai untuk permukaan yang lembab dan boleh mengundang anai-anai. Bagi permukaan dalaman kabinet memadailah dengan lapisan formika kerana ia tidak memerlukan bajet yang tinggi. Bagi yang mempunyai citarasa yang tinggi bolehlah menggunakan kayu solid atau kemasan metal (keluli tahan karat) bagi struktur kabinet dapur anda. Ada pelbagai rekaan mengikut citarasa masing-masing boleh didapati di majalah mahupun di internet untuk anda contohi.

b) Seterusnya bagi permukaan luar kabinet. Ini adalah bahagian yang paling menarik kerana anda boleh memilih mengikut citarasa konsep yang anda mahukan. Permukaan luar adalah bahagian yang paling penting yang menentukan karekter bagi dapur anda. Pilihlah kemasan kayu untuk konsep tradisional atau Eropah, kemasan glossy untuk moden dan kemasan pelbagai warna menggunakan kayu laminat untuk konsep kontemporari. Bagi kitchen top pula, anda bolehlah memilih dari kemasan granit, laminat, konkrit, kayu, keluli tahan karat, marble, dan antara yang ekonomikal dan popular sekarang adalah kemasan jubin. Walaubagaimanapun, masing-masing ada kelemahan dan kelebihannya. Tanyalah pada kontraktor atau rujuk pada pereka dalamn anda mengenai kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing.

c) Bagi aksesori pula, tetapkan ruang untuk peti sejuk anda, ruang oven sekiranya anda menggunakan built-in oven, ruangan untuk memasak, ruangan penyediaan makanan, ruangan mengeringkan pinggan dan sebagainya. Perhatikan juga rekaan-rekaan pembuka pintu yang menarik di pasaran dan juga system inovatif dalam teknologi kabinet seperti soft close yang boleh mengurangkan bunyi bising ketika menutup pintu kabinet anda dan juga self-close kabinet yang boleh tertutup dangan sendiri sekiranya anda memang jenis yang selalu terlupa. Bagi yang meminati konsep masak moden dan mementingkan keselamatan anak-anak kecil, anda bolehlah mencuba dapur jenis induksi yang menggunakan elektrik dan selamat untuk anak-anak kecil. Terlalu banyak teknologi-teknologi terkini yang diperkenalkan oleh syarikat-syarikat yang menawarkan perkhidmatan seumpamanya. Untuk mendapat informasi terkini, anda bolehlah mengunjungi pameran-pameran hiasan rumah yang saban masa berlangsung di sekitar lembah Klang dan juga Bandar-bandar besar yang lain di seluruh Malaysia.

4) Fahami konsep keseluruhan dapur anda!

Perhatikan ruangan berdekatan dengan dapur anda. Apakah yang anda ingin tonjolkan, mungkin anda mempunyai pintu gelongsor untuk mengelakkan bau dari dapur basah anda masuk ke ruang dapur kering, atau mungkin tempat memasak anda menghadap ke ruang laman, dan mungkin tempat anak-anak bermain. Mungkin anda hanya memerlukan ‘island table’ untuk mendapatkan aspirasi dapur kering dan tidak memerlukan ruang yang baru. Semuanya terletak pada citarasa dan juga kemampuan masing-masing dan selamat mencuba.

BlackBerry TorCH vs IPhoNE4..

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has just been introduced onto the smartphone scene, offering a capacitive touchscreen, upgraded OS and a whole lot more to boot. The iPhone 4 has had its fair share of problems of late, but it's still a stunning phone.

The question is, which should you invest in if you're looking for a touchscreen maestro?

Screen
If we're going to compare numbers, the iPhone 4's screen wins hands down, with a much higher resolution 640x960 pixels, 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, but don't rule out the BlackBerry Torch's 360x480 pixel, 3.2-inch display. It's crisp, bright and flawless, just as the BlackBerry Bold 9700's is.

The iPhone's resolution may be higher, but seeing as it has more pixels than the human eye can actually see, it's more show over substance.

It is very responsive though and for this reason, the iPhone wins, but after all Apple has had much more practice with capacitive screens than BlackBerry, so you'd kind of expect them to win this one anyway.

Winner: iPhone 4

Processor
The iPhone 4's 1Ghz processor may pack a punch, but this doesn't mean it runs faster than the BlackBerry Torch 9800's. The latter may only pack in a 624MHz processor, but BlackBerry memory management is much better than the iPhone's.

At some points, the iPhone struggles and without full fat multitasking, this is a little bit disappointing.

The BlackBerry Torch, however, steams along and doesn't need an enhanced processor to power multitasking as the iPhone 4 does.

Winner: BlackBerry Torch 9800

Browser
The iPhone 4's Safari browser was certainly the best on a smartphone up to now, but the BlackBerry Torch 9800's WebKit browser beats the iPhone's. Firstly, it supports tabbed browsing. Sure, you can access multiple pages on the Safari browser, but it's not as smooth as switching between tabs.

The browser also uses your text size preferences to resize text within the browser - ensuring it's always the size you want it to be. The Blackberry webKit browser also renders websites much better than the previous browser, finally!

Winner: BlackBerry Torch 9800

Applications
Although BlackBerry will be introducing new APIs to developer, including access to the HTML 5-powered WebKit browser API and carrier billing, applications still come secondary to the App Store's offering. Sure, BlackBerry offers more CRM apps for business users, but for consumers, the iPhone easily conquers BlackBerry.

BlackBerry apps are also notably more expensive than iPhone applications, while there's a lot less choice in App World. You may be able to buy BlackBerry apps from third parties unlike for the iPhone, but iPhone apps are much more inventive and cover a wider range compared to BlackBerry.

Winner: Apple iPhone 4

Keyboard
As every touchscreen phone user will agree, touchscreen keyboards are great once you've got used to them - the iPhone's most certainly included. But hardware keyboards just work, no getting used to required.

This is especially the case when using one so marvellous as the BlackBerry Torch's. Although you can opt to use one of the Torch's virtual keyboards (there are four choices - landscape Qwerty, portrait Qwerty, Alphanumeric and BlackBerry's Suretype), we'd highly recommend using the hardware slide out Qwerty if you're planning on writing a long email.

Winner: BlackBerry Torch 9800

Tonjolkan ciri hiasan dalaman Islam sesuai seni bina tempatan

MENGACARA rancangan ‘Billikku Syurgak‘u’ di RTM menjadikan Mohd Zairul Mohd Noor mula dikenali sebagai selebriti hiasan dalaman dengan nama jolokan, Zack Zairul
Selain kecenderungan terhadap konsep moden dan kos efektif, lulusan bidang seni bina Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) itu turut menitikberatkan penerapan ciri keislaman dalam reka bentuk serta perundingan hiasan dalaman dikendalikannya.
Hal itu bukan saja memberi identiti unik kepadanya sebagai pereka hiasan dalaman, malah menjadi misi peribadi untuk memberi hala tuju baru dalam industri hiasan dalaman tempatan sekali gus memperbetulkan mentaliti masyarakat mengenai konsep sebenar harus diikuti dalam seni menghias.

“Kebanyakan konsep hiasan dalaman diguna pakai ketika ini ditiru bulat-bulat daripada Barat atau menyerupai amalan fahaman atau agama tertentu yang boleh memesongkan akidah seperti penggunaan lilin atau taksub terhadap amalan feng shui.

“Seharusnya, unsur keislaman turut diambil kira dalam reka bentuk bangunan, pengubahsuaian dan hiasan dalaman kerana ia lebih berciri sejagat. Contohnya, memastikan kedudukan katil atau mangkuk tandas tidak menghadap kiblat serta menggalakkan penggunaan elemen air dalam hiasan kerana ia bukan saja memberi ketenangan, malah mengingatkan kita mengenai kebesaran ciptaan Tuhan” katanya ketika ditemui di kediamannya di Putrajaya, baru-baru ini.

Falsafah hiasan dalaman pegangannya itu diterjemah sepenuhnya dalam menghias kuarters dihuni bersama isterinya yang juga doktor di Hospital Putrajaya, Dr Noor Hafizah Abd Salim dan cahaya mata perempuan, Noor Amra Zulfa, 2 tahun.
Walaupun konsep kediaman Manhattan melatari hiasan dalaman kediamannya, unsur keislaman seperti susun atur perabot, air cucuran dan bingkai tulisan khat turut menjadi penyeri.

Dalam seni menghias, kata Mohd Zairul, pereka perlu belajar mengenal pasti ruang dulu sebelum menyuai padankan perabot dengan elemen hias yang lain dan mampu membayangkan lakaran atur letak.

“Saya mempunyai imaginasi mengenai kedudukan perabot, gaya ruang, pilihan aksesori dan sebagainya untuk dijelmakan di ruang sebenar. Jika hiasan dalaman impian sudah ditanamkan dalam minda maka urusan mencari perabot dan perhiasan menjadi mudah. Bahkan, kita turut boleh menguruskan kos perbelanjaan membeli perabot selain berkemahiran mendapatkan kelengkapan rumah cantik pada harga berpatutan.

“Saya juga sentiasa membuat rujukan dan pembacaan mengenai reka bentuk serta konsep hiasan dalaman terkini menerusi majalah dan blog selain rajin meninjau kedai perabot di merata tempat,” katanya.

Dalam kesibukan mengendali program televisyen, Zack Zairul turut bertugas sebagai pensyarah bidang seni bina di Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), menyumbang artikel untuk majalah Impiana dan menawarkan perkhidmatan perundingan hiasan dalaman menerusi syarikat miliknya, Digitale Pillotis.

Awal pembinaan kerjayanya pada 2005, beliau berkhidmat sebagai arkitek projek selama tiga tahun di syarikat swasta sebelum berkhidmat dengan Kementerian Dalam Negeri.

Guna pendekatan unik kongsi panduan menghias

ZACK Zairul melaksana pendekatan tersendiri dalam mengendali program televisyen berkonsep hiasan dalaman dengan membabitkan peserta sebanyak mungkin dalam kerja menghias bagi memastikan mereka dan penonton mendapat manfaat sepenuhnya daripada rancangan itu.

Menerusi program Bilikku Syurgaku contohnya, beliau berbincang dengan peserta mengenai konsep dan lakaran ubah suai yang dikehendaki dan membawa mereka sendiri ke kedai untuk memilih barangan sambil memberi panduan mengenai cara memilih perabot sesuai dengan konsep hiasan dalaman dipilih.

“Saya tidak menganggap diri sebagai selebriti, sebaliknya peluang mengacara program televisyen ini satu saluran bagi saya berkongsi panduan seni menghias dan mengetengahkan konsep hiasan dalaman berunsur keislaman.

“Saya mahu program bukan saja memberi manfaat kepada peserta, malah mampu memberi inspirasi kepada penonton untuk turut mempraktikkan idea dan panduan bagi menjadikan kediaman mereka lebih indah serta tenang untuk didiami,” katanya.

Beliau berkata, program terbaru dalam perancangan berkonsep ‘Do It Yourself’ (D.I.Y), apabila peserta akan dibawa ke kedai peralatan dan dibimbing sepenuhnya mengenai cara menghias serta memasang peralatan seperti rak dan mengecat.

“Saya percaya semuanya bergantung kepada minat. Jika tiada asas, tetapi mempunyai minat dan sanggup belajar, semua orang boleh mempelajari seni menghias dan melakukannya sendiri.

“Contohnya, saya pada asalnya tiada dorongan langsung untuk menceburi bidang seni bina, tetapi memang mempunyai minat seni seperti melukis, tulisan khat dan menghias hingga pernah dilantik sebagai Ketua Biro Keceriaan Sekolah.

“Minat bidang seni bina berputik apabila melihat rakan sebilik di universiti menyiapkan model dan lukisan projek, mendorong saya menukar bidang pengajian psikologi kepada seni bina dan sejak itu saya tidak menoleh ke belakang lagi,” katanya.

Interior DEsigner vs Interior DEcorator..

Kali ini saya memilih utk menulis di dalam Bahasa Melayu..kerana umumnya masyarakat melayu di negara ini tidak faham serta kurang pengetahuan dalam membezakan antara "Interior Designer" dan "Interior Decorator". Profession Interior Designer atau Pereka Dalaman bermula seawal kurun ke-18 atau mungkin lebih awal dari itu dan profession ini sebenarnya dikuasai oleh Arkitek seperti Robert Adams yang amat terkenal sebagai seorang arkitek dan pereka dalaman pada zaman Neo-Classical. Begitu juga Antonio Gaudi seorang arkitek Spain yang mencabar rekabentuk biasa dan menukarnya menjadi hasil seni dari abstrak pada kurun ke-20.

Ok, cukuplah dengan sejarah profession ini. Seorang pereka dalaman atau Arkitek bukan sahaja akan mencipta lanskap baru di dalam hiasan dalaman sesebuah ruang tetapi akan mengambil kira elemen-elemen serta aspek-aspek penting di setiap sisi ruang dalaman bagi memberi impak yang dapat memberi 'responsive design' serta mood yang berbeza-beza. Ia tidak seharusnya tertakluk kepada mood "diva' atau what we called as 'over accessorize'. Kebiassanya seorang Arkitek atau pun Pereka Dalaman bertauliah akan menjalani pengajian selama hampir 5 hingga 7 tahun bagi memahami 'design intention' , 'design philosophy', form, shape, interactions, framing view dan pelbagai lagi elemen2 penting bagi menjadikan sesuatu ruang. Tapi sebaliknya, interior dekorator tidak ubah seperti seorang 'makcik' yang mempunyai taste hanya berdasarkan pemerhatian terhadap hasil bacaan yang dangkal dan 'superficial analysis' pada hiasan pereka lain dan mencantumkannya menjadi hasil seni yang 'ortodoks'. Mereka ini juga hanya mampu memberi konsultansi terhadap hasil ruang dalam lingkungan yang minimum. Kebanyakan mereka tidak ubah seperti salesman ataupun wakil-wakil jualan kedai-kedai rekaan atau perabot di jalan Maarof, Bangsar.

Adalah amat malang, sekiranya pelanggan2 di luar sana yang seharusnya mendapat hasil yang lebih mengagumkan hasil Pereka Dalaman dan Arkitek yang tulen yang dapat memberikan konsultansi yang lebih memenuhi citarasa mereka berdasarkan konsep serta philosophy on design tetapi sebaliknya tertipu oleh Interior Decorator yang tiada langsung asas 'space and form' understanding tetapi merasakan mereka sudah layak menjadi jurucakap bagi profession ini.... Oleh itu' kepada masyarakat di luar sana berhati-hatilah dalam memilih Pereka Hiasan Dalaman bagi kediaman yang memang anda idam-idamkan...

So many yet so shallow of thoughts among Malaysians for not able to differentiate between interior designer and interior decorator...p/s: if u are destined to become fashion designer don't try to imitate Architects and Interior Designer skills..it is shameful..;p

Abstract

Concurrent Engineering (CE) is nothing new in manufacturing industry and it has been proven to expedite the delivery of product, minimize cost and reduce life cycle cost in supply chain. Nevertheless, only recently there are attempts to integrate this system into the construction industry. However, abundant case studies have only involved scientific research on commercial project and sparsely on mass housing industry. The Concurrent Engineering approach is hope to reduce the risk in mass housing development in Malaysia due to the nature of conventional method of construction which having risk of being abandoned, time consuming, expensive and fragmented in nature. As a result, a significant portion of this country’s population currently does not have access to adequate housing entitled to them. Towards the end, the research will explore the element of Concurrent Engineering (CE) as its principle focus. Next, the research will also identify the common problems in the mass housing development life cycle through case studies. The result will highlight Concurrent Engineering (CE) elements for mass housing development. It will extend the knowledge of Concurrent Engineering (CE) in the construction industry and specifically in the mass housing projects.
