Answer By Dr Zakir Naik In the context of today if there are some Muslim captives who are prisoners of war and if some money can be given to the people who are held them captive and if they free them then Zakaat money can be used to free the Muslims.

5th category mentioned in Surah Tawbah ch. 9 verse no. 60 which says 'can be used for 'riqab' i.e. freeing the captives.There is a Hadith which is mentioned in Musnad Ahmad Vol. no. 4 Hadith no. 18647 where "Once a person comes to Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) and asks him that "What things should I do that will take me closer to Jannah i.e. paradise and take me away from hell?" So the Prophet tells him that "set free a life and liberate a slave."

This a response to the EPIC FAIL of a video by Steven Crowder in his desperate attempt to gain attention. It's always best to ignore such videos, especially since the whole "Islamaphobia" thing is getting old now, but in certain instances it's good to clarify where he went wrong in terms of the misconceptions he put forward.

One of the biggest issues facing families today is domestic violence. Whether it be against the wife, husband or children - we can all play a part in bringing an end to this. The family is the backbone of the society and if we want to keep it firm, we must learn to love, respect and protect one another.

Allah (God) teaches us in the Quran that "The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew. (29:41). If we look further into this example we will notice that the spiders home is not weak merely because of the web but also due to the habitual structure of many different types of spider families, which are filled with murder and abuse. A feeble home is indeed one which is filled with much violence. Such are the intriguing parables God sets forth in the Quran to teach those who ponder.

CALLING ALL BELIEVERS

Do you know whats harder than looking at pictures of Muslims around the world suffering? ...It's thinking of what action are we going to take to let Allah know that we haven't ignored their cries.

For it feels like we have literally came to the point where no matter what we see - we are unaffected and most likely not going to respond. And as much as it kills me to say this - it's no surprise. For Muhammad (pbuh) warned us of a time that will come when nations will call one another to invade us, the same way they would call one another to a plate of food.

Why did Muhammad (pbuh) compare us to food?!! Because food is lifeless. It doesn't respond when you eat it. No matter how much of the plate you were to eat - it would never fight back nor respond. And this is exactly what we have become. My self first and foremost.

We have become large in number but weak in nature. We have fell in love with this world and neglected the pursuit of the here after. We left Allah, so Allah is waiting for us to return to Him. Waiting for us to leave our sins and run back to His path.

I'm very sorry if this message is harsh. But I want everyone to know that this is the only hope we have to achieving victory. I urge everyone to please SHARE this video. It is a strong reminder.

Let us all change together, leave the love for this world before it leaves us all behind. May Allah make us all steadfast. Amen.

Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus

Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus, A poem I wrote to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion. This is not an attack upon Christians, so please don't take this as offensive, it's just a means of education and let people know what Jesus was truly sent with. Jesus is a Prophet of Islam, yet a God of Christianity. In Islam God is all Powerful, But in Christianity God was overpowered and crucified on the cross, how can the Almighty God be overpowered, these are just examples for people to think about, we are not forcing you to believe, just ponder and question. The Quran is the final testament, Muhammad is the final Messenger. Islam is the final religion, so no I dont Hate Islam. One God, One God only, He does not beget nor was he begotten, He is the GREATEST. And has no partners. (Holy Quran Ch 112)

How to perfect your prayers

Salah is the daily ritual prayer enjoined upon all Muslims as one of the five Pillars of Islam. It is performed five times a day by all Muslims. Salah is a precise worship, different from praying on the inspiration of the moment. Muslims pray or, perhaps more correctly, worship five times throughout the day:

· Between first light and sunrise.

· After the sun has passed the middle of the sky.

· Between mid-afternoon and sunset.

· Between sunset and the last light of the day.

· Between darkness and midnight.

Each prayer may take at least 5 minutes, but it may be lengthened as a person wishes. Muslims can pray in any clean environment, alone or together, in a mosque or at home, at work or on the road, indoors or out. Under special circumstances, such as illness, journey, or war, certain allowances in the prayers are given to make their offering easy.

Having specific times each day to be close to God helps Muslims remain aware of the importance of their faith, and the role it plays in every part of life. Muslims start their day by cleaning themselves and then standing before their Lord in prayer. The prayers consist of recitations from the Quran in Arabic and a sequence of movements: standing, bowing, prostrating, and sitting. All recitations and movements express submission, humility, and homage to God. The various postures Muslims assume during their prayers capture the spirit of submission; the words remind them of their commitments to God. The prayer also reminds one of belief in the Day of Judgment and of the fact that one has to appear before his or her Creator and give an account of their entire life. This is how a Muslim starts their day. In the course of the day, Muslims dissociate themselves form their worldly engagements for a few moments and stand before God. This brings to mind once again the real purpose of life.

These prayers serve as a constant reminder throughout the day to help keep believers mindful of God in the daily stress of work, family, and distractions of life. Prayer strengthens faith, dependence on God, and puts daily life within the perspective of life to come after death and the last judgment. As they prepare to pray, Muslims face Mecca, the holy city that houses the Kaaba (the ancient place of worship built by Abraham and his son Ishmael). At the end of the prayer, the shahada (testimony of faith) is recited, and the greeting of peace, "Peace be upon all of you and the mercy and blessings of God," is repeated twice.

Though individual performance of salah is permissible, collective worship in the mosque has special merit and Muslims are encouraged to perform certain salah with others. With their faces turned in the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca, the worshipers align themselves in parallel rows behind the imam, or prayer leader, who directs them as they execute the physical postures coupled with Quran recitations.

Although not religiously mandated, individual devotional prayers, especially during the night, are emphasized and are a common practice among pious Muslims.

'Eidga' is the word used in India, Pakistan, the Arabic word is Musallah, its mainly an open ground so that more people can gather so of one town or one city, they should be as least gathering as possible and bigger gathering, so it should be one Musallah means one place where a person prays for the full town, that's preferable or as least number of places maximum number of gathering. It's mentioned in the Hadith of Sahih Bukhari Vol. no. 2 in the Book of Two Eids Hadith no. 956, it says "The Prophet during the Eid day, he went and prayed in the Musallah"

What is the whole purpose of the Eid Salaah-Answer By Dr Zakir Naik, As far as the purpose of the Eid Salaah is that Allah makes that Allah makes it on us that we should make our social lifestyle that it should be seen that we believe in God consciousness, we believe in Taqwa. And the best example that we have s the 5 times daily congregation Salaah. Muslims gather together and we show the Taqwa that we should have that God Consciousness, people are aware of it, it's seen in our social life, the bigger gathering is the Jummah Salaah and the biggest local gathering is the 2 Eid Salaah and the largest annual gathering in the full world is the Hajj gathering.

In Hajj gathering people from different part of the world gather but the local largest 2 gatherings are the 2 Salaah for Eidain, that's the purpose and secondly the bigger gathering that we have, it shows our strength, we get introduced to Muslims and our love to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) our servitude. That's the reason Prophet said you should go to the Eidga so that there should be one big gathering rather than multiple small gatherings so the people will come to know the strength of the Muslims and it boosts up the morals of the Muslims. "O I didn't know that in 2 small regions, 50,000 Muslims!" and for the non-believers, they will think 10 times before making mischief. "50,000 Muslims!" the will think 10 times, they will think 1000 times before making mischief. So these also work on the same psychology and I feel that that's very important and that's the reason even the children, even the menstruating women should go even if they cannot offer Salaah so that the gathering is bigger and it's good, the unity of the Muslim Ummah is shown.

Rulings regarding the Eid prayer-Answer By Dr Zakir Naik, As far as the ruling is concerned about the Salaah of Eid-ul-Fitr, there are difference of opinion amongst he scholars and the difference schools of thought, according to Imam Shafi and Imam Malik, the Shafis and the Malakis, they say that the Eid Salaah is a Sunnat-e-Muakada, it is a very important Sunnah known as Mustahab based on the Hadith that there was a Bedouin who comes and says that Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) has not made compulsory any Salaah other than the 5 prescribed Salaah which is mentioned in Mughni Vol. no. 2 Page no. 223, So based on this Hadith that no other, salaah is compulsory besides the 5 times prescribed Salaah.

Recommended acts are on the day of Eid-Answer By Dr Zakir Naik, On the day of Eid the first thing is that you should have Ghusl. It's mentioned in Muwatta Page 240 Hadith no. 428 Nafee narrates (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abdullah Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he used to have a bath, he used to have Ghusl before proceeding for the Eid Salaah so it's a Sunnah that you have to have a bath before going to the Musallah for the Eid Salaah. No. 2 is that its also a Sunnah that you should wear good clothes, adorn yourself, you should beautify yourself, you can wear new clothes, you can put kohl in our eyes, put oil in the hair, you can wear perfume but natural all these things are for men, the women are not recommended to wear perfume and adorn themselves when thy go out but natural they should be in Hijaab, they should be veiled. Just talking about the men. Point no. 3 is that the Prophet always had dates before he left his house for offering the Eid Salaah, its mentioned in the Hadith of Sahih Bukhari Vol. no. 2 in the Book of Two Eids Hadith no. 953, "The Prophet ate dates before he left the house for offering the Eid Salaah"

And the 4th act is that the Eid Salaah should be offered on a Musslaah, in a place may be on a big ground, may be in the town in the outskirts of a town where all the people can gather in one place.
