Andftp android app review

Andftp is a ftp app used to transfer files from a remote computer to your android device. I find this useful especially when you have a torrent client set up on the same computer. Then you can start a new torrent from the android then download it from the computer once it completes.

Continuing on to the review of the app. Its pretty easy to use once you get it set up. When you start it up you have a box to select which ftp server to connect to. Then once you connect you select what you want to download mark it, then flip to the device view, and select the location to download it to. You can set in the options the default folders for the server and local location. Then when you start the download it brings up a status bar that keeps you from continuing to browse untill its done.

There seem to be a few peoblems I can see resume support doesn't always work. I seem to also have problems downloading files with long folder names. Otherwise I would highly suggest it.

Movie review Killer Klowns from outer space

I came across this movie randomly as I was browsing netflix one day. I enjoyed watching it, just of how ridiculous it was. If clowns really did come from outer space that is what they would be. Their technology ranges from electric orb engine drive spaceship to balloon animal hunting dog to cotton candy cocoon spraying ray guns. The pop corn being one of the more powerful technology in their arsenal.

The movie really keeps you into it by wanting to see the bad cop get what is coming, and oh he does. The clowns make havoc in the town, while the bad cop just thinks everyone is playing a joke on him, while the good cop takes forever to investigate the incident. In the end it wraps up nicely, and leaves some room for a sequel but I don't think that will come. So if you want a campy movie that is pretty entertaining, this is the one.

Minecraft progression

Just been playing single player minecraft lately. Made an awesome house, with lava for the roof. Anyone else made awesome houses if so you should post a pic of it.

Starting to learn to farm as well, here are my sugar cane farm and wheat farm. youtube pretty much has all you would ever want to know about the game. A lot of resources posted by other people. The depth of the game is pretty amazing, all I can think of is how awesome the final product will be and what other games could spawn from this kind of game play.

Minecraft

Minecraft
I have lately been playing minecraft lately after hearing so much about it. I have to say I first was turned off by the graphics but as soon as I started playing that all went away. The game it self doesn't seem that deep, but its what the players do with that big open world that really makes the game stand out. I want to start my own server, maybe invite a couple of followers if there is interest. Any tips or resources anyone wants to offer to a new player? I have mostly just been mining and making a big tall tower.

Starcraft 2

In the Starcraft realm I have been playing a lot of 2v2s and 3v3s, and I am really starting to get my Protoss strategy down. I am starting to scout more, and be in there base with an army first. Its really fun starting to play well with teammates and starting to know how they will react and work together.

Words with friends: Android App Review

I decided along with Starcraft II info, I would also review some Android apps that I enjoy. I was thinking about making a separate blog, but figured putting them all in once place wouldn't be so bad.

The first game I choose to review is Words with friends. Its a free game but also has a paid version the remove the ads. It is a game a scrabble complete that you play with your friends, from your respective phones. You start by searching for a game by username, phone number, or other ways to get a game going.

The ads themselves are pretty invasive, so the paid app might be a good idea. Any of you guys play?

Starcraft Session 3v3s

After not playing for a week or so I played a lot of 3v3s tonight. It went pretty well. One of my better strategies was gateways and zealot charge blink and upgrades. I chrono boosted all of my techs and just was in his base with charging zealots. Then after I expansion was up and running, I built a lot of gateways and just pushed into one of the teammates base with a group of zealots.

I had a lot of cheese thrown at me like ling rush and cannons. Mostly to counter the cheese I just needed to scout a lot better.

I just have a hard time keeping track of where I need to scout. Anyone have any tips on how to make sure to scout better?

Starcraft casters I follow

I follow a couple different Starcraft 2 Videocasters.

Anyone have any other Starcraft 2 Casters that are good. I have only watched 1v1s. But I am starting to become a lot more interested in 2v2s and more. Anyone have anyone that casts games like that and is fun to watch.

Lately I have been playing Zerg and Protoss. My Protoss is better then my zerg I just have a better build order, and know my way around the tech tree better.

Games played lately

Starcraft has been my game of choice lately 2v2s, 3v3s mostly. The fan base around the game is pretty incredible. When I first played original Starcraft I did not follow the game much more then, big game hunter map games with my friends. The video replays of the matches with commentary are a lot more fun to watch then previously thought. The casters usually have a lot of good input about the game to help, learn about the workings, mechanics and strategy in the game.
