Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajiroa Mastani is the story of 18th century's Maratha Peshwa (Prime Minister) Bajirao Ballad A.K.A Peshwa Bajirao I, and her second wife Mastani, princess of Bundelkhand, with Muslim mother.

Bajirao, the elder son of Bhat Family (Maharashtrian Brahmin) fallen in love with the Mastani (Muslim); Bhat family was totally in the denial of this relationship which is obvious. But the Love is blind and brave too. Their rise of Love and fallen of lives is the story of Bajirao Mastani Movie.

The story is focused on the Bajirao's inhouse politics and struggle rather than his war strategy and life span.

Astonishing acting of Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Milind Soman, Mahesh Manjrekar, Tanvi Azmi and Raza Murad made the story stronger than it is.

Pros:

Bajirao (Ranveer Singh)

Bajiroa - Ranveen Singh adopted the character so well that it feels real with his fluent dialogue delivery with all that getup.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Direction: Devdas, Ram Leela and now Bajirao Mastani, SLB has furious way to direct a movie, which is generally away from orthodox directions.
Colors and sets used: Same as Ram Leela, the color in this movie are rich. The Aaina Mahel, (similar to Moghl-e-azam) will leave you speech less.
War scenes, now bollywood can match the quality of Hollywood war scenes. I literally enjoyed it.
Kasi Bai: Kasibai, the 1st wife and love of Bajiroa, is the unsung hero of this movie. The perfect casted character with justified script. Played by Priyanka Chopra.

Kasibai (Priyanka Chopra)

Radhbai: Mother of bajirao. Tanvi Azmi has surprised everyone with her mesmerizing acting.

Cons:

Bajirao and Mastani's love is not justified. There should be more minute on how it happened. The whole story is focused on their love struggle.
The End, the last 5 minutes, Bajiroa's hallucination scene is something hard to digest and looks bit dramatic thus lacks conviction.
Less war scenes. bajirao as a Peshwa of Chhatrapati Sahu, had faught many huge bettle. To name few - Battle with Battle of Delhi with Moghals, Battle of Bhopal with Nazam, etc. It would have really great if those war was covered.

My Take:

Must watch movie not because of the stardom but because Maratha Emperor is bright part of Indian history which nobody taught us well.

Larry Crowne

Larry Crowne, recently downsized employee, goes to the school for graduation, where he takes a class of Mrs. Tainot; which according to him changed his life.

The story sticks around the life of Larry Crowns who faces a problem in professional growth because he has no degree. He got downsized for the same reason. Then he decides to go back to school and completes the graduation.

The character of Larry Crowne is of decent gentleman and fully justified by Tom Hanks.

On other side, the lady teacher Mrs. Tainot, who is struggling with her marriage, is sophisticated person role played by Julia Roberts.

It is love to observe Tom Hanks flawless performance and Julia Roberts's charismatic personality. Both make a good couple on screen

Tom Hanks is my one of the favorite actors and Julia Roberts is one of the favorite actresses. When they work together for me the movie must be watched. However, I also suggest to watching this movie as you will amaze to see that even with so regular story, these two masters of an art can drive the whole movie with a flare in it.

Start Over

Today when I was speaking to someone and I shared that I used to write a blog but I stopped. It is been more than 6 months, I haven't wrote any blog post.

That got me into thinking why I did that...

Later this evening I thought a lot.

Early this year, I started taking too much pressure on job. Wanted to prove myself that I can do better jobs.

I realized I have been avoiding things which I love to do. Hectic time schedules no time for personal life, hobbies. Clients, projects and meeting that's what I were looking at.

And see where I have reached work-home-work schedule, no fun, no excitement in life.

I believe I have learnt my lesson.

Tomorrow morning is gonna be new start. Start doing things I love and get rid of unimportant things...

Ranjhanaa - Movie Review

Howmany times you have been told by elders, seniors, bosses or mentors that you should do everything but in limit!!! Well yes, that is also true, but you have to go beyond the limits to achieve something extra ordinary.

This is a story of limitless, selfless love. This movie has redefined the "Aashiqui"(Madness in love).

The one dialogue of Dhanush tells the whole story: "Tuhmne bhi muhje aakhir tak chu*** banaya na, Zoya. Tuhje Pyaar karna mera talent hai, isme tumra koi haath nahi. Tumhari jagah koi aur hoti to usko bhi me itna hi tutke pyaar karta."

'Raanjhanaa' is about a young Hindu boy in Banaras and his unwavering love for a Muslim girl who doesn't see him as anything more than a friend.

Things that I like:

Dhanush: He looks like another ordinary guy from your neighborhood but when he starts acting, he is better than all recent actors of Bollywood. He is South Indian actor, although his Hindi is so nice and fluent.
The dialogue delivery of his is insignificant. His pure Hindi dialogues are pleasure to listen. He justified a role of crazy lover, who has no limits in love. I truly believe he can knockout all heroes of Bollywood. Great Actor.

Swara Bhaskar: Though she has supporting role, I am sure, everyone has noticed her act in this movie. She has evolved from Radhika Talwr, a reporter (Guzaarish) to Payal Sinha (Tanu Weds Manu) to Bindia of this movie. She always leaves her impression in every movies she works with.

Abhay Deol: Idealistic student leader. Simple and focused on goal. The Deol son shows that he can steal the show even by the side role. Perfect expression with too good dialogue delivery. Though his role is small but effective act, made it important and noticeable.

Music: A R Rehman back with his great soul love music. He really filled a love in this movie.

Overall, movie is great to watch. The humor, the pure Hindi dialogues, crazy lover, Indian Politics and a life of a young leader, you find everything interesting.

My take on move - 4.5 star.

"Hum yaha apna lahu bahaye aur aap waha aasu. Saali aashiqui na hue lathi charge ho gaya!!!"

Predictable Story and predictable dialogues.

Kabir Thapar (bunny) running behind his dream of visiting every corner of world. Don't care attitude with focus on career.

Naina Talwar, studious girl with top ranks, wanna be Doctor. So serious about her life.

Genuine love story, Girl loves a boy but could not tell him, they meet after some years and again love happens. This time they stays together.

The things that you should observe in this movie is not the main characters but supporting characters.

Kalki Koechlin as Aditi. Childhood friend of Bunny (Kabir Thapar). Kalki is at her best in this role. Free minded, rebel, not following rules, fearless.
Aditya Roy Kapur as Avi (Avinash). Childhood friend of Bunny. Drunker, flirt and direction less guy. He has grown a lot as actor from London Dreams, Guzarish to Aashiqui 2. Very Serious about the his role, did really good as Avi. He gonna be another Super Star.

Kunaal Roy Kapur as Taran. 3rd movie and that is doing Cameo. Kunaal has his own charm in comedy that we have seen in Delhi Belly and Nautanki Salla and yes, in this movie you will watch the same guy in more funny cum serious role. You will love the way he act and his performance is awesome.

Farooq Sheikh as Bunny's Father. Surprise package is for me. The master of acting, after a decades, is acting in movie. In a role of bit worried father of bunny. Always worrying, always supporting.

Love to watch his acting even in this age. He is another Jewel of Bollywood whom we do not recognize.

Some good thing about this movie, that it teaches something to us. Like Naina saying followings to Bunny: "Zindagi mein kitna bhi try kar lo, kuchh na kuchh toh chhut hi jaata hain, toh jahaan hain wahin ka maza lete hain na!"

The friendship between Avi and Bunny is another part of this movie, which is not much developed by the writer if he did, them movie makes more sense to me.

The movie has so many predictable surprises and predictable dialogues that makes it boring. Too many songs and all are not that good.

Ranbir Kapoor with his charm, cute smile and excellent dance, creates the nice impression on viewer. He rules in whole movie. In 1st half, fun loving flirt stud bunny and in 2nd half more serious, career oriented Bunny. However, I liked both Bunny.

But I expect little more from him. Some more different roles like Wake Up S!d.

Deepika Padukon in her trendy cum sexy look. She acted really well. And she justifies the demand of the role in 1st half. In second half she was okay.

Some good try in story like taking the story 8 years back and then coming back to present day. That was a good one.

This one of those movie which you can watch with your friend and companion, you will enjoy a lot. But you will not watch it with family.

One time Watch, 2.5 stars out of 5 and do not watch if you have other fun activities to do.

My take on Delhi Gang Rape

It has been around a week since the incidence of Gang Rape on a medical student in Delhi.

Here I am writing my own thoughts on this.

Many of you may find this offensive or abnormal or you will disagree with me and stop following my blog but if you feel so, you are already not following me.

So many people have talked, written, fought, and protested in various places. Asked for Capital punishment and fast track courts and a lot more.

I think in the reverse manner. I believe this kind of incident should not occur in our society. We need to make this place (our nation and world) a better place to live. This can't be done only by making strict laws or giving capital punishments.

Right now what people are talking and fighting about is -

What others need to do,
How should the Police work,
What should be the law,
What kind of court should be there to solve these cases.

They think this will reduce the occurrences of such incidents, it may be. But I doubt that and following are the reasons:

Blaming Government: Flaws are in the system not in 1 part of the system. Blaming only one person or department won't help and you can only change the whole system if you are in the system.
Make strict laws: A nation like India where the population is a big strength as well as a weakness, making only strong/strict laws will not help. We have laws, who follows them?
Tough Police: Even we have a very bad ratio of a policeman to no of citizens. They can't cover all the parts or track everyone. They need some assistance from society.
Capital Punishment: A death sentence will not help. According to me, that guy should live a life of hell. He should get such punishment as cutting his hand/leg/any other body part and letting him live that life. This will make a strong example.
Fast-track courts: Courts will come into the picture only after the rape or similar harassment. Nothing can justify this kind of anti-social activity. What about the victim - a girl/lady who has suffered this? Can she live a respectful life after this? Will our society give her a chance for a new beginning? Make such a law which can ensure this. Make provisions where she can start her new life.

I believe there are bad and good people in any form of civilization. It is upon the good people whether they want these bad people to restrict or let them do the bad things around them.

If we, ourselves, make good governance, help people or at least be responsible towards society then this kind of activity will be restricted. Only because the good people are not active (as the way they should do), these bad people get the chance to do such anti-social activities. What I, you, everyone needs to do is, be more responsible and take care of our surroundings. Update police/authorities about the anti-social activities happening around you, that is our duty.

I know, we all want to be on the safer side and don't want to get involved in any trouble.

I heard a girl on TV, who said that in Noida, while coming back home late at night, she found that a guy was harassing a young girl but she was not involved as she felt that she might get into trouble.

If you find something wrong, happening in the car standing near to your society then I am not saying that you be a hero or CID or Spy and check by yourself, but at least you can update the authorities about it. They will take care of it.

"An awakened citizen is what we all need to be. Be responsible, know your duty, and do it. The world will be a nicer place to live."

Leave No Regrets

Barfi! - A different Bollywood movie.

Barfi! is not just another Bollywood movie. It is different yet awesome movie. After a long time, I have seen some hard work done by any actor/actress for role. Last time it was SRK for the “My name is khan” and Hritik Roshan for “Guzaarish”.

Anurag Basu is one master for taking such a story and extracting such wonderful performances. The use of light in the film has been done very well. Ravi Varma’s cinematography with the light and colors and festivals is excellent. Much of Basu’s silent scenes are derivative of Charlie Chaplin and movies of the silent era with grand musical orchestration and slapstick gags, which usually include a bumbling overweight cop (Saurabh Shukla) on Barfi’s tail.

Pritam’s music is very good but it reminds you of the soundtrack of In “The Mood For Love” very often. Akiv Ali’s editing is very fine.

Story:

Story of 3 characters.

1. Barfi – Original name Murphy (Ranbir Kapoor), is a speech and hearing impaired boy, who is always happy and wears lovely smiles, called "Barfi" by all.
2. Shruti – A girl from rich family. Shruti (Ileana D’Cruz) meets Barfi during her father’s posting in Darjeeling.
3. Jhilmil - Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra) is a local rich man’s severely autistic granddaughter.

Barfi is able to connect with both these women, in different ways. The film traces these three lives and their relationships.

The story begins in present day but is told mostly in flashback as events unfold over seven years in the 1970s. Story moves in different parts and confuses but at the end once can understand the whole story.

The story telling in the first half slows down in parts, but is made up with a sharper second half.

What I like:

1. The characters. A film like Barfi! can only work if the characters are memorable and three-dimensional – and that they definitely are. This film flaunts characters that are well-fleshed out, from their mannerisms (Barfi’s hair-combing, Jhilmil’s pinky-finger holding), to their endearing qualities, and even to their faults. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into developing each of these characters, and they all come alive on screen.
2. The moments. Barfi makes your heart soar, breaks it, and then carefully puts it back together. These beautiful moments alone (and there are several), make this film worth watching.
3. The performances. All three stars should be proud of their roles in this film. Ranbir proves you don’t need dialogue-baazi to deliver a spectacular performance. Armed with only actions and facial expressions, he brings the role of Murphy to life. Priyanka takes on her extremely challenging role with aplomb and delivers, what I think, is one of the best performances of her career. Ileana perhaps has the easiest of the three roles, but that shouldn’t diminish a solid performance (and she looked very pretty to boot).
4. Brilliant techniques. The direction (Anurag Basu) is first-rate. Excellent, really. The cinematography is absolutely beautiful, making this film a visual treat. And the music sounds even better in the film, because it follows the moods perfectly – light and breezy at parts (Main Kya Karoon), deep and more melancholic at others (Phir Le Aaya Dil).
5. It’s a happy film. When you hear themes of autism and hearing/speech impairments, you may go in expecting a heavy film, but it isn’t. If anything, Barfi! will leave you with a small smile on your face, a lighter heart, and a little spring in your step.

It’s difficult to have two disabled characters and not portray their stereotype or make the audience feel pity for them. But Anurag Basu does it skillfully with the script and story. He builds the characters so finely that you come to love each and every one of them by the end of the movie. One grouse would be that of the whole kidnapping scenario: maybe the movie would be less complicated by it because it confuses a bit, especially with the non-linear narrative. While we can easily understand why Jhilmil would fall for Barfi, it’s not really clear why he starts loving Jhilmil so much. The length of the movie also could have been reduced. Sanjeev Datta’s dialogues are alright.

A Walk to Remember...

Films always touch my hearts. Especially love stories. But reading novels is more fun. I read Nicholas Sparks's A walk to remember a long time back. today I read only the last part.

It is amazing how people write about emotions. I am fan of Nicholas Sparks Novels. The way he describe the emotion is wonderful and touchy.

The novel is amazing as story of two minor falling in love but shows Maturity by taking responsibility of each other.

Though in end there is tragedy, its is disheartening but I guess this how life is..... Unfair.

And at the end I love those last lines which I am also sharing here...

"Jamie saved my life. She taught me everything, about life, hope and the long journey ahead. I'll always miss her. But our love is like the wind...I can't see it, but I can feel it."

આપે ઘણા લેખાંકો વાચ્યા હશે જે માતા ની મહાનતા અને ત્યાગ ની વાત કરતા હશે. પણ આ બધા માં આપડે આપણા ઘર ના બહુ જ જરૂરી સભ્ય બાપ ને તો ભૂલી જ જઈએ છીએ. મમ્મી જન્મ આપે છે. પણ સારું જીવન તો પપ્પા તમે જ આપો છો ને. એટલે આ પત્ર તો ફક્ત ને ફક્ત પપ્પા માટે.

Dear પપ્પા,

મને ખબર જે કે તમે આજે પણ Bank ગયા છો ને ત્યાં કામ જ કરી રહ્યા હસો. વિચાર્યું તું કે આજે તમને કોઈ સારી gift આપીશ પણ તમે તો અમદાવાદ માં છો જ નથી તો શું કરી શકાય! એટલે વિચાર્યું કે આ પત્ર લખું...

હું નાનપણ માં તો ઘણો તોફાની હતો. ને મારા કારણે તમારે ઘણું સંભાળવું પડતું હતું લોકો નું. પણ તમે મને કદી એ બાબત પણ ઠપકો નથી આપ્યો. તમે હમેશા સારા માણસ બનવા નો આગ્રહ રાખ્યો, જે હવે સમજાય છે કે, કેમ જરૂરી હતું.

પપ્પા, તમને યાદ હશે જયારે મને Cycle ચલાવ તા નહતી આવડતી તી ત્યારે તમે મને ઠપકો આપતા બહાર ઘર ની બહાર કાઢેલો કે જો હું આજે Cycle શીખી ને ના આવ્યો તો તમે મને ઘર માં નહિ આવવા દો, અને હું એ દિવસ સે Cycle ચલાવતા શીખી જ ગયો!!

યાદ છે તમને, જયારે મેં તમને complain કરેલી કે મને કોઈ હેરાન કરે છે school માં ત્યારે તમે હિંમત આપી તી ને સામનો કરવા ની વાત કરી તી. તે પછી મને મુશ્કેલીઓ નો સામનો કરવાની તાકાત પણ તમે જ આપી તી.

આવા તો ઘણા કિસ્સા છે, જે કારણે જ હું જીવન માં સારો માણસ બની શક્યો. નાનપણ થી જ તમારી જેમ જીવવાની આશા હતી. અને તમને ગર્વ થાય તેવા કામ કરવા નો પ્રયત્ન કર્યા છે. અને આગળ પણ કરતો જ રહીશ. અને ચાહું કે જીવન માં જયારે જયારે મને આવા કોઈ ઠપકાની જરૂર પડે ત્યારે તમે મારી સાથે જ હોવ.

કદી કહ્યું નથી મેં તમને પણ તમને જ મારા real life hero છો. And one day I will make you proud.

Dead Poets Society

"Carpe Diem - Seize the Day, boys!!!" - the message of the movie. Seize the day, before it ends. Live up your life before it ends. An exquisite movie directed by Peter Weir that demonstrated many facets of being a teenager, and all of the passionate emotions that come with being one.

Wonderful message said in a beautiful manner.

Oh! Captain! My Captain! - Mr. Robin Williams, in the role of Mr. Keating, a professor of English with the different style of teaching. He tried to change the lives of students but some misinterpreted it. Mr. Keating introduces his students to poetry and his free-thinking attitude. The liberating philosophies of the authors he introduces to his class, have a profound effect on his students.

Movie concentrates on student's life, stress of studies, duties and expectations. Every scene has its own importance. Robin William was at his best and wonderful support provided by Ethan Hawke, Josh Charles, Gale Hansen and Robert Sean Leonard in role of students. The story moves bit slow but that is the beauty. You can understand each scene.

I love Dead Poets Society. It is in the perfect setting. Needless to say, Dead Poets Society is one of my favorite films.

It is very influential in my decision for career and life.

Do something which you like or enjoy, gives the live feeling in Life.

The Movie is not saying to stop doing all those things that you're doing. But, the message is to start doing things that we like to do, to add more mean to our life, to live the life the way we want to.

Let's Carpe Diem. Let's seize the day, guys! Let's not just throw our-selves into pool of duties.

Start doing things which we like to do. Let's find the real essence of our own lives.

Uttarayan - Kite Festival 2012

The 14th Jan is the biggest day for every Amdavadi youngster. I bet that. No, seriously for us the festival of kites is two days of enjoyment. We call 14^th Jan - Uttarayan and 15^th Jan Vasi-Uttarayan (post-Uttarayan). I tell you why...

First of all the enjoyments start with preparation of it. We need 2 basic things for this festival and that is Kites and Threads. We have to buy those as early as possible because as we 14th Jan come closer the rate goes high. This thread needs to get coloured. This process to get it coloured is not just easy. Book a good guy who is best at this and then also spend a 3-4 hours for the whole process is fun actually.

I bought thread – Sakal 8 – 2000 meter on Sunday, just 2 week ago of 14^th Jan, to get those colourwala free to get thread colour. But, my calculation went wrong. No colourwala was free to attain my order instantly but I got appointment on 8:00PM of the same day. My cousins and me went there on time with our threads. We knew it will take around 3-4 hours so we were prepared for it. In talks of kites, threads and fights time went fast and we easy passed 2 hours. But now it is high time our threads were coloured already but it needed to be dry. It going to take 1 more hour so I went to the Lovely and took some “Annda Bhurji” as well as some boiled eggs to eat. It helped us to pass another 1 hour and our threads were ready. The time spent on road with cousins was remarkable.

On the next week I went to Kite Market at Raipur for shopping the kites. Kites are big business in Ahmedabad. The preparation happens all year round and reaches the climax on the weeks before Uttarayan. Those nights, the main kite markets are open all night long. This place was so crowded that get out of that crowd without damaging your kites is the biggest challenge especially when you are not used to it.

So now kites + thread both were set. Only 7 more day were to go. Days passed very well on job. On the 13^th Jan my company threw Pre-Kite Festival party. We flew kites, had kite fights and also had fun time with co-workers which was fun too. I left office early as I had to do preparation for next day. Get home early, finished all odd works and started tying knot to kite as tying knot is the time consuming thing and I really didn’t want to spend my time on that on 14^th & 15^th.

Technically, the knot should be in 0-1 ratio, so that whenever you pull the thread, kite goes in to direction of its head.

Did that task till 2 o’clock of night then turn on my laptop as I wanted to finish up some more episode of Heroes. (I had no watched that from last 2 weeks. So curiosity of what happen next was on the peek.)

After watching back to back 3 episode of Heroes, I went to sleep.

On 14^th Jan I planned to woke up early and get on roof before 8:30AM but I couldn’t as I slept late and I regretted that.

I woke up at 8 got ready on 9 and got on roof on 9:30. Everything was good. Nice wind, sunshine morning and sound system with playlist of awesome rocking songs. No one was there to stop me. But it last for only 4 hrs. After that, wind was gone and after trying for some time I came back to home. In launch mom made Uttarayan special “Undhiyu” and Dad bring “Jalebi”.

The evening went same with less support of wind but we had another enjoyment at evening. At evening we usually have a trend to fire the firecrackers and celebrate the evening of Uttarayan. Now a days people also fly the Chinese tukkal (lamp). The sky was full of lights of fire crackers and Chinese tukkals.

After passing some time it was time for dinner and after dinner night session for kite fight. It is amazing to fly kites at night because at night the kite fights are more fun. You can’t see the whole kite when it is in sky. One needs to concentrate a lot.

Next day i.e. 15^th Jan was a God Gifted day for us, as a wind was totally on our side. On that day flying kite was not challenge, once didn’t need to try that hard to fly a kite as wind was providing its support. That day went in shouting “lappet”, “kaapyo j chhe” and other sounds just like scream but in happiness. The fun and enjoyment increased when my parents train tickets got cancelled and my father joined me in evening on roof. I must say he is best at kite fights. He cut others kite in amazing way. Me and my brother love to watch him flying kite.

This is how I enjoyed the most enjoyable days of this year. That’s why kite flying festival is not just an ordinary festival and something more to me and also for so many young Amdavadis. :)

We flew kites, we shouted, we did kite fights and we lighten the sky with fire cracker and lanterns ==> This is how I celebrate this Uttarayan.

All Fun is over and I back to my normal life having those wonderful memories in mind. I wish next this year brings more fun like this and I spend some more fun time with friends and family.

New Arrivals on BookShelf

Today went to Crossword to find out the new arrivals. *Yes it is "Crossword" not "Crossworld"! Thanks Chandani for correcting me*.

Reviewed new arrival and nothing looked good so I passed the New arrival section then Management section and Technology section.Took a big round, nothing attracted me *accept 3 kids playing and fighting with each other*. Finally stopped at Best Seller section and my search ended.

I spent some time there and read the Preface of some of the books. Reviewed almost 10 books and finalized 5 books. Just adjust them on my bookshelf.

So here is some info about them:

1) Can Love Happen Twice by Ravinder Singh.

Ravinder Singh the writer of I Too Had A Love Story. This story seems to be continuation of the last novel "I Too Had A Love Story" which was based on his real life story and his Beloved fiancée "Khushi" who died 5 days before their engagement was about to happen. Sounds Excited, nbut in preface he shared that this the story for his readers. and not a really a true story.

2) P.I.G.S. - by Anish Sadanandan.

Name stands for Poor Indian Graduate Students, sift naam hi kaafi hai! I liked the name and a introduction was good and full of humor. Read some pages and I like to know how the story moves ahead.

3) The Average Indian Male by Cyrus Broacha

Cyrus Broacha is known as the funny man and and this book is a funny book too. 'The Average Indian Male' is funny and sounds good so I pushed it into cart.

4) The Perfect World by Priya Kumar

If you haven't noticed, let me tell you I've decided to buy some good books of Indian authors only. This books has interesting writing. Hardly read 3-4 pages so really don't know the real story. But those 3 pages were enough to make decision to buy it.

5) The Best of Me - Nicholas Sparks

Nicholas Sparks I have read 3 novels of Nicholas Sparks. I have read The Last Song, The Notebook and my favorite Remember Me. This author has power of involve emotions in stories. So this one "The Best of Me" is the obvious choice.

Today gonna start nay one of these and excited to finish the story. Will write review soon. Also post my next bog on 2011 soon.

I am signing of now. Going to watch Heroes Season 2 Episode 3. :)

Heroes is another TV Series which I recommended to our Indian TV Producers in my blog - This one is for you Indian TV Serial Producers .

Story:
10 People who discover that they have super-natural power. How they discover it and what they do with it is the story of season one. This will give you experience of suspense, mystery, and electrifying twists as this astonishing series follows seemingly unconnected, ordinary people around the globe who discover they have extraordinary powers. As they come to terms with their unique abilities, their risky decisions will affect the futures of everyone around them... and the world.
The Indian Professor who invited the theory to locate these super natural power holders is dead and his son is now following the same research for his dad.
A painter can paint the Future. Another man can fly. One Japanese man can band the time and space like E=MC^2. And many more power. These all is making this story so interesting.

What I like:
The Story is strong and casting is good. The background music is catchy and creates proper effects. This will give you a feel of great thrill. The dark scenes and background music is deadly Combo. This gives me scary feelings sometimes. But that is what I like! As story moves it is revealing secret one by one. All Characters are good and well designed. Some scenes can give anyone a shock. The Chanting of Sanskrit Sloks are of my interest. These all has a connection with India.

I am yet to finish season 1 but after watching 5 episode, I am too excited to finish it as soon as possible. But having time limitation.

This is one of those series that people should watch. Full entertainment.

Saina Nehwal - Fought all Odds

Does anyone remember her??? Oh! Yes, she is the one unfortunate girl who was struggling to survive her identity as Indian Female Representative in sports!!!

Surprised!!!

2 Year before people were recognizing her like " Oh she is Sania Nehwal something and she plays Badminton".
Yes, in India only cricket is considered as a sports. So, it is obvious that we know all cricketers and even name of their spouse and children.
After P T Usha, when I heard any other female Sports person's name in news or on TV was Sania Mirza. (Oh yes that Sania Mirza who was Tennis player. Sharing photo if you forgot her.)

She was on news for so many reasons:
1) She was a good tennis player. ( Yes she was, after getting so many ads and people's attraction, she got distracted.)
2) Her body was too much into shape.(You are not agree with it!!! Go on YouTube and write Sania Mirza. You will find your answer there. Even I am damn sure that my blog will get hits with her name as keyword more than Saina Nehwal's name.) Because of that image she got so many Advertisements. Made lots of money.
3) Our politicians were also interest in Sania Mirza. (Sonia Gandhi met her after some championship because she is Minority Community Girl. I know that she was just wanted to grab opportunity to attract Minority Community votes.)
4) She had been into controversies because of her cloths, of her affairs and at last because of her marriage.

As she left India after marrying a Pakistani person, all of sudden people lose Indian female face in sports.
Now our unfortunate girl Saina Nehwal got a chance. Now you must be asking why unfortunate. Here are some reason:
1) She is playing badminton not cricket nor tennis. In Badminton only one name we know is Prakash Padukone.
2) People always got confused with Saina or Sania.
3) She is great player but not a model. (No offence but it is true).

So people kept ignoring her till Sania's departure.
Now a days she is being recognized by media, ad-agencies and so by common people.
Even after winning so many medals Sonia Gandhi didn't get a time to meet her. reasons. 1) Sania is not carrying a big fan-base. 2) Sania is not from minority community (I guess).

Thanks to God, Sania, who was more known for her non-sport related things, went to Pakistan and eventually Saina got a chance to be Indian Female Face for Sports. (Please don't talk about Anjum Chopra, she is not playing cricket anymore.)

RockStar - Review.

After a long time I got a chance to watch Rockstar. I have heard so much about it. Most of them were negative. But still I was wanted to watch it. I watched it. I will never regret this.

"It just can not be better than this."

Whole movie was damn good. I heard that people don't like it and I also know why they don't. But about that we will talk later.

About Story:
Lovestory, but this one is little Hatke (different). Ranbir is only 1 who can justify this kinda role.(Arjun Rampal may do better than this but who want him to act.). Surprisingly casting of new girl against Ranbir but I guess that is what story is all about.( I guess They don't want to give more importance to female's role or they don't want to give more focus on that.) Anyways Nargis did OK, kinda Chalta Hai type acting. A R Rehman's music and Mohit Chauhan's voice have already created magic. That magic you can feel in movie too.

The Script is also damn good. But in movie; story is not going straight. It is jumping from one occasion to another. Fillers comes after sometimes and make movie in-flow. This why people can't understand the movie and that why most of them don't like it. But, some story viewers like it who can relate the stories very well. Also all things are not clear in movie, one needs to turn on his mind and imagine rest of part. That makes this story a bit different and difficult to understand.

Some Positive Points:

1. Ranbir's Acting:

Angry and arrogant singer. A true lover. He gave 100% justice to the character JJ / Jordan. Nice dialogue-delivery and expression. He really tried hard to perform this character. And that seems too. Good going Ranbir.

2. Love Chemistry between Ranbir and Nargis:

These pictures speaks better. Together they look amazing. great chemistry. And love always works.

3. A R Rehman's Awesome Music:

Kun FayaKun and Nadan Parindey Soundtracks and whole music is rocking. The background of base-guitar in movie feels good. He made this movie works.

4. Mohit Chauhan's Voice:

A old dream of being Rockstar of Mohit comes true. Ok, he is not Rockstar but he sung almost all songs. From 1st song Duba Duba Rehta Hu of him from Silk Routes album, he had a dream of becoming rockstar. Now atleast that comes true..

5. A little different Love Story:

A love story with seriousness. What ever they did, they did together. Love each other and that is the best. Not some idiotic silly love story where only magic happens.

6. More sensible casting:

Ranbir Kapoor as Janardhan Jakhar / Jordan / JJ
Nargis Fakhri as Heer Kaul
Shammi Kapoor as Ustad Jameel Khan
Aditi Rao Hydari as Sheena
Moufid Aziz as Nargis Fakhri's husband
Kumud Mishra as Khatana
Piyush Mishra as Dhingra
Shernaz Patel as Neena Kaul

Shernaz Patel and Aditi Reo are to different but strong actor. Shammi Kappor is like guest appearance but it is nice to watch him act.

This is it. A great movie to watch.

The Last Song - Novel

"I played for him as long as I could, Mom. And I tried so hard to make it beautiful for him, because I knew how much it meant to him. But he was just so weak," Ronnie whispered. "At the end, I'm not sure he could even hear me."
She pinched the bridge of her nose, wondering idly if she had any tears left to shed. There had been so many tears already.

And with this I finished #TheLastSong. Reading is more fun than watching movie, though the movie has some modification.

Indo-Pak War Game...

During the Cold War, if USA launched a nuke-loaded missile, Soviet Satellites would inform the Soviet army in 3 seconds and in less than 45 seconds Soviet counter-missiles would be on their way.

Recent studies commissioned by US department of Defense included one on nuclear war between India and Pakistan:

This is the scenario....

The Pakistan army decides to launch a nuke-missile towards India. They don't need any permission from their government, and promptly order the countdowns.

Indian technology is highly advanced. In less than 8 seconds, Indian army detects the Pak countdown and decides to launch a missile in retribution.

But they need permission from the Government of India. They submit their request to the Indian President. The President forwards it to the Cabinet. The Prime Minister calls an emergency Lok Sabha session. The LS meets, but due to several walkouts and severe protests by the opposition, it gets adjourned indefinitely.

The President asks for a quick decision. In the mean time, the Pak missile failed to take off due to technical failure. Their attempts for a re-launch are still on.

Just then the Indian ruling party is reduced to a minority because a party that was giving outside support withdraws it.

The President asks the PM to prove his majority within a week. As the ruling party fails to win the confidence vote, a caretaker government is installed. The caretaker PM decides to permit the armed forces to launch a nuclear missile.

But the Election Commission says that a caretaker government cannot take such a decision because elections are at hand. The Election Commission files Public Interest Litigation in the Supreme Court alleging misuse of power.

The Supreme Court comes to the rescue of the PM, and says the acting PM is authorized to take this decision in view of the emergency facing the nation.

Just then one of the Pak missiles successfully took off, but it fell 367 miles away from the target, on its own government building in Islamabad at 11.00AM.

Fortunately there were no casualties as no employee had reached the office that early.

In any case, the nuclear core of the missile had detached somewhere in flight. The Pakistan army is now trying to get better technologies from China and USA.

The Indian Government, taking no chances, decides to launch a nuclear missile of its own, after convening an all-party meeting.

This time all the parties agree.

Its three months since the army had sought permission.

But as preparations begin, "pro-humanity", "anti-nuclear" activists come out against the Government's decision. Human chains are formed and 'Rasta rokos' organized.

In California and Washington endless e-mails are sent to Indians condemning the government and mentioning "Please forward it to as many Indians as possible".

On the Pakistan side, the missiles kept malfunctioning.

Some missiles deviate from target due to technical failures or high-speed wind blowing over Rajasthan.

Many of them land in the Indian Ocean killing some fishes.

A missile (smuggled from USA ) is pressed into service.

Since the Pakistan army is unable to understand its software, it hits it original destination: Russia.

Russians successfully intercepts the missile and in retaliation launches a nuclear missile towards Islamabad .

The missile hits the target and creates havoc.

Pakistan cries for help.

India expresses deep regrets for what has happened and sends in a million dollars worth aid.

Branding: After a Hero-Honda fiasco; Hero is having big time problem with recognizing its self in market. In market no buddy really know only Hero, as Hero is recognized as Cycle manufacturer.
To position itself as MotorCycle Manufacturer they needed to do Hardwork.

And Now they have came up with the new Marketing Campaign to just spread an awareness of the that Hero-Honda is now Hero MotoCorp.
