What makes this particular car even more desirable is its colour.

Delivered new to Sonnen Porsche in Mill Valley, California, it is believed to be one of only around 44 Carrera GTs finished in Fayence Yellow for the North American market, making it one of the rarest factory colour combinations available on the model.

Toyota could be preparing something even more exciting than the GR GT concept unveiled late last year. The Japanese manufacturer has repeatedly hinted at a future mid-engined performance car, and a newly spotted prototype at Fuji Speedway has only added fuel to the speculation.

A sharp-eyed photographer captured the mysterious test car circulating the Toyota-owned circuit, the very same venue where the GR GT3 prototype was first seen testing roughly two years before its official reveal.

Prototype Wears Familiar Styling Cues

Although the prototype has proportions that immediately bring the iconic MR2 to mind, it is still unclear exactly what sits beneath the bodywork. The compact shape leaves room for either a front or mid-mounted engine, but several design details suggest this could be much more than a standard road car.

A wide rear track, fixed side windows and a large swan-neck rear wing point towards a race-focused development vehicle rather than a production-ready sports car.

Interestingly, Toyota appears to have borrowed components from existing models to speed up development. Italian design house Angelelli Automobili has revealed its latest concept, known as Project 754, and it takes one of the world’s most recognisable sports cars in an entirely unexpected direction.

While countless companies have modified the Porsche 911 over the years, Project 754 goes far beyond cosmetic enhancements. Instead, it rethinks the car’s entire engineering philosophy, offering buyers two completely different mechanical layouts while introducing advanced manufacturing techniques and highly bespoke construction.

Although the vehicle is clearly inspired by the 911, Angelelli Automobili makes it clear that the project has no official connection to Porsche.

Two Layouts, One Vision

Project 754 will be offered in two distinct versions, each aimed at a different type of enthusiast.

The first is the 754 R, which retains the traditional rear-engine configuration that has defined the Porsche 911 for decades.

The second is the much more controversial 754 M, which relocates the engine into the middle of the chassis, fundamentally changing the car’s proportions and weight distribution.

According to the company, moving the engine behind the occupants allows the cockpit to shift further forward while widening the track, resulting in a lower, broader and more focused supercar silhouette.

Only digital renderings have been released so far, with every example set to be individually built once customer orders begin.

Performance Targets Exceed 800 Horsepower

Angelelli Automobili says both versions will receive extensive mechanical upgrades designed to improve performance while significantly reducing weight.

The most extreme specification is expected to produce more than 800 horsepower (597 kW) while tipping the scales at approximately 1,100 kg.

The company has also hinted at extensive aerodynamic improvements, although it has yet to reveal exactly how the standard Porsche 911 platform will be transformed into the mid-engine 754 M.

3D Printing Plays A Major Role

One of the project’s defining technologies is a manufacturing approach called Alien Mesh Design.

Using generative design software, topology optimisation and advanced 3D printing, components are engineered so that material exists only where it is structurally necessary. The result is lightweight parts with complex organic shapes that would be extremely difficult to produce using traditional manufacturing methods.

This technology will be used for everything from interior trim pieces to suspension components and even lightweight wheels.

The company believes the approach not only improves performance but also allows each customer to create a truly unique specification.

Just 50 Cars Will Be Built

Production will be strictly limited to 50 vehicles, split evenly between the two configurations.

Each car will be built to order, meaning customers must first provide a donor Porsche 911 before the transformation begins.

Pricing starts at €435,000 (approximately R8.17 million) for the rear-engine 754 R, while the mid-engine 754 M begins at €635,000 (approximately R11.92 million).

For buyers wanting an entirely bespoke creation, pricing can exceed $1 million (approximately R16.51 million) depending on the level of customisation requested.

With its combination of radical engineering, lightweight construction and highly exclusive production, Project 754 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Porsche-inspired builds ever proposed.

Long before anyone had heard of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, the Volkswagen Group was already experimenting with the idea of a supercar built for loose surfaces. More than a decade later, that same spirit has resurfaced, only this time it has nothing to do with the Group at all.

Rezvani Turns The Huracán Into Something Unrecognisable

California-based tuning outfit Rezvani Motors has taken a standard Huracán and reworked it into a machine so different from the donor car that most people would struggle to identify what lies beneath. Called the Dune, this rugged creation makes even the Huracán Sterrato and the Porsche 911 Dakar look conservative by comparison. It has a post-apocalyptic presence and it makes no apologies for that.

The entire widebody kit has been rebuilt from carbon fibre, complete with a roof-mounted scoop that hints at the mechanical changes hiding underneath. Where the factory Sterrato added a modest 1.7 inch lift over a standard Huracán, Rezvani has gone considerably further, raising the Dune’s ride height by an additional 4.5 inches. Chunky 31 inch all-terrain tyres, the kind normally reserved for off-road trucks, complete the transformation and leave no doubt about this car’s intentions.

What’s Under The Bodywork

The 5.2 litre naturally aspirated V10 remains in place behind the seats, but Rezvani hasn’t left it untouched. Working alongside VF Engineering, the company bolted on a supercharger, lifting output to 800 hp, a jump of nearly 200 hp over the standard Sterrato. Rezvani hasn’t confirmed torque figures yet, but given the factory car produces 559 Nm (413 lb-ft), a meaningful increase should be expected once final numbers are released.

Limited Numbers And An Open Order Book

Only seven examples of the Dune will be built, and Rezvani has already opened its order book. Securing a build slot requires a refundable deposit of $1,500 (approximately R24,690), though the final price hasn’t been published since every car will be built according to the buyer’s specification.

LARTE Design has revealed one of its most striking Lamborghini Urus creations yet, showcasing a unique LARGENDA package finished entirely in a single lilac shade. Rather than contrasting exposed carbon with painted bodywork, every exterior carbon component has been colour-matched to the body, creating a seamless appearance that blends both materials into one continuous design.

The project also marks another important milestone for the tuner, becoming the first Urus fitted with LARTE Design’s newly approved body kit under Germany’s official Teiletypgenehmigung certification.

A Seamless Design From Every Angle

Unlike most modified Urus builds that rely on exposed carbon accents for contrast, this example takes a completely different route. The lilac paint flows uninterrupted across the bonnet, front bumper details, side skirts, wheel arch extensions and rear diffuser, making the SUV appear lower, wider and more cohesive.

At the rear, the colour continues across the diffuser, lower spoiler, roof spoiler and even the exhaust surrounds, ensuring the design remains visually consistent from every angle. Dark-finished wheels provide subtle contrast without distracting from the unique body colour.

Matching Paint and Carbon Is More Complex Than It Looks

Creating identical shades across painted panels and carbon components is significantly more challenging than simply spraying everything the same colour.

Paint reflects light differently to carbon, particularly when the weave sits beneath a coloured finish. LARTE Design says numerous test panels were produced before the final lilac shade was approved, ensuring both materials appeared virtually identical under natural daylight, studio lighting and everyday driving conditions.

The result is a finish where painted panels and carbon components blend together instead of competing for attention.

Level 2 Customisation Offers Almost Unlimited Choice

The build also demonstrates LARTE Design’s Level 2 customisation programme.

Instead of selecting a standard factory paint option, customers work directly with the company’s design and engineering teams to develop a bespoke body colour alongside a matching or contrasting carbon finish.

This approach allows owners to create combinations unavailable through Lamborghini’s own configurator, with the chosen colour integrated into both the paintwork and the carbon manufacturing process.

15-Piece Dry Carbon Body Kit

The full LARGENDA package consists of 15 exterior components manufactured entirely from 100% dry carbon.

The package includes:

Interestingly, the carbon bonnet weighs the same 9 kg as Lamborghini’s original carbon bonnet, while the redesigned rear diffuser saves approximately 1 kg without affecting servicing or installation.

German Type Approval Raises The Standard

Beyond its visual impact, this Urus also introduces LARTE Design’s new official Teiletypgenehmigung approval.

Issued by Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), this certification places the body kit under the same regulatory framework used for production vehicle components, something very few aftermarket manufacturers pursue.

Every component supplied with the kit is backed by a 36-month warranty.

For owners, the certification provides independent verification that can simplify inspections, insurance assessments and future resale.

Dutch performance car specialist Donkervoort is taking a significant step in its global expansion by introducing the P24 RS in right-hand drive form for the first time in the company’s 49-year history.

Previously focused primarily on left-hand drive markets, the lightweight supercar manufacturer has already established a presence in North America and the Middle East. The addition of right-hand drive production now opens the door to customers in several key international markets.

The company has confirmed that it is already accepting orders from buyers in right-hand drive countries, highlighting strong early demand for the new model.

Engineered From the Ground Up for Global Markets

Rather than simply converting an existing platform, the P24 RS was designed from the outset to accommodate right-hand drive production.

The latest model also introduces several technical innovations that distinguish it from previous Donkervoort models, including the brand’s new PTC (Power To Choose) engine, an advanced Ex-Core carbon-fibre front subframe and a continued obsession with minimising weight.

According to Managing Director Denis Donkervoort, expanding into right-hand drive markets became possible thanks to the all-new engine architecture, while customer demand made the decision an easy one.

The P24 RS will now be available in markets including the United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.

600 HP (447 kW) in a 780 kg Package

Performance remains the defining characteristic of the P24 RS.

Its bespoke twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 develops up to 600 hp (447 kW) while the car weighs just 780 kg (dry). This gives it one of the most extreme power-to-weight ratios of any production vehicle currently on sale.

The innovative Power To Choose system allows drivers to instantly switch between 400 hp (298 kW), 500 hp (373 kW) and the full 600 hp (447 kW) depending on road conditions or driving preference.

Peak torque stands at 800 Nm (590 lb-ft).

Remarkably, Donkervoort claims it is currently the only production car producing 600 hp while weighing less than 1,000 kg.

Hypercar Performance Without Sacrificing Practicality

Despite its uncompromising focus on driving engagement, the P24 RS still offers a surprising level of usability.

Owners benefit from 298 litres of luggage space, a removable Twin Targa roof and adjustable driver settings for power delivery, traction control and suspension.

Beneath the bodywork sits JLR’s all-new Electric Modular Architecture (EMA), a platform originally conceived exclusively for battery-electric vehicles.

Although hybrid variants are expected to join the wider EMA family at a later stage, the Range Rover GT will launch as a fully electric model. The architecture has been developed specifically for medium-sized premium SUVs and will also underpin several future JLR products.

Many of the technologies debuting in the upcoming Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric will carry over to the GT, including its battery systems, electric drive units, thermal management hardware and advanced vehicle software.

Hennessey is preparing to expand its hypercar range beyond the Venom F5 with an entirely new model known internally as Project Overlord.

The secretive machine has been under development for more than two years and will be revealed on 3 August 2026, shortly before Monterey Car Week begins in California.

Hennessey Previews Its Next Hypercar

The first teaser image offers a shadowy look at the newcomer’s rear end.

A curved LED taillight sits between two sculpted sections of painted bodywork, with a large black mesh grille positioned underneath. While very little of the car is visible, the design already appears more restrained and compact than the dramatic Venom F5.

Project Overlord will not replace the F5. Instead, it is expected to sit alongside Hennessey’s existing hypercar as a separate, more driver-focused offering.

A More Analogue Hennessey Hypercar

Hennessey has spent much of the past few years developing and delivering different versions of the Venom F5, including the manual Venom F5-M Roadster.

The F5-M combines a six-speed gated manual gearbox with Hennessey’s 2,031 hp (1,515 kW) twin-turbocharged 6.6-litre V8.

Project Overlord is expected to take the analogue formula even further.

John Hennessey previously described the vehicle as a lightweight, high-revving machine designed around driver involvement. Like the Venom F5, it is being designed, engineered and developed in-house rather than using the platform of an existing production car.

Early reports also suggest the new hypercar could use a completely new engine paired with a manual transmission, although Hennessey has not released any technical specifications.

Inspired By The Porsche Carrera GT

Hennessey has previously positioned Project Overlord as a spiritual American successor to the Porsche Carrera GT.

That comparison suggests the new model may prioritise low weight, naturally responsive performance and mechanical involvement rather than chasing the Venom F5’s enormous power figures and outright top-speed ambitions.

The Carrera GT remains one of the most celebrated analogue supercars ever produced, combining a naturally aspirated V10 with a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive.

A modern American interpretation of that formula could give Hennessey something very different from the Venom F5.

What Could Power Project Overlord?

Hennessey has not confirmed the engine, power output, gearbox or performance targets for Project Overlord.

However, the company’s references to a high-revving powertrain and driver-focused character suggest the car could use a simpler and potentially lighter setup than the twin-turbocharged Venom F5.

A manual transmission appears increasingly likely, particularly after Hennessey demonstrated its commitment to analogue performance with the F5-M.

Should Project Overlord emerge as a smaller and less intimidating machine, it could occupy similar territory to cars such as the Lamborghini Temerario, McLaren 765LT or Gordon Murray Automotive T.50.

Production Will Likely Be Extremely Limited

No production figures or pricing details have been announced.

Considering Hennessey’s boutique manufacturing operation, Project Overlord will almost certainly be built in very small numbers. Pricing is also expected to exceed $1 million, which is approximately R16.46 million at the current exchange rate.

The final cost could climb considerably higher depending on the engine, materials, production volume and level of customisation offered to buyers.
