We only have one life everybody knows that. If you think that it is tolerable to become mediocre on the first opportunity that knocks on your door you better think again. If you think that it is ok to take every second for granted you better think again. Whether you are ready or not, whether you feel good or not it is your duty to give your best at any given opportunity. If your boss assigned you to the biggest project in your company, don’t hesitate just grab it and do your best. If an idea flashes in your mind and it tells you to do this and do that, just do it! Remember there are no second chances, we cannot afford to be lazy and we cannot afford to be an average person if we really wanted to succeed.

Give Only 50 Percent and You WIll Get The Same

If you are doing something or you want to get something. It is very important to give your 100 percent and more. It is really true that we reap what we sow. If you are half ass committed to what you are doing, it is 100 percent sure that the result will become mediocre. Let’s take this as an example, your boss gives you a project and you didn’t give your best instead you party every night and didn’t even bother to put extra effort on the given project. What do you think his reaction will be even if you finish the project on time? You have a bar exam and you only memorize the things that you think will show on the test. Do you think you can become confident on taking the exam? You promise your wife a house within a year but you are not taking necessary actions like building a business or looking for a new job, are you going to be able to give it to her? Life is easy, we are just the ones who are making it difficult. The equation is very simple: 50% = mediocre; 100% = success.

White Lies For Success

Honestly, nobody in this world is 100 percent pure honest. We are all humans and that is normal, but if you are going to lie make sure it is a white lie. What does white lie means? It is a form of dishonesty to avoid disappointing someone or hurting someone. Of course your friends will not accept your excuse if you tell them that you cannot make it to their party because you have something important to do. They will just pretend that they’ve already miss you are they will be angry if you did not obey them. You have no choice but to grant their childish requests. What if you really have important things to do like you have to train harder because you want to make it to the basketball team or you have to study because you have an exam? I guarantee you white lie is the surest way to stop them making you feel guilty. Just pretend that you are sick or you are out of town so you can’t make it. I am not encouraging you to do this, it is still your choice and choices of today will determine the success of tomorrow, after all you only have to do this if you really don’t want to come to their party and can’t find any excuses.

Throw Away Your Garbages

If you have garbage friends that use you and only remember you when they need something from you THROW THEM!

If you have garbage thoughts that make you weak and are stopping you from reaching your goals THROW THEM!

If you have garbage habits that are very unhealthy or makes you procrastinate (e.g. watching TV for 10 hours a day, drinking alcohol a lot, focusing on lives of other people, eating unhealthy foods) THROW THEM!

We should keep our mind and body healthy so that we can achieve our goals faster than we expect. It is hard to throw away these garbages in our lives at first but once we learn how to do it, we can change our lives dramatically and we will achieve the things that we never expect to come into our lives.

Congratulate Yourself

Most of us forget to congratulate ourselves when we did something good or achieve a certain goal may it be little or big. Congratulating ourselves will make us feel better and become more excited of pursuing another goal because we are starting to believe that we can. One way of congratulating ourselves is eating our favorite food, forget about your diet, achieving something doesn’t happen everyday. Another way is buying the things that we really love, this is also like rewarding yourself for what you achieve, never mind the expenses, you can always earn money anytime you want. We should not forget to congratulate ourselves because appreciating our own achievement only means we are happy with how our lives are going. I wrote this article because I am congratulating myself right now, I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years if I am not mistaken, money is not yet big but that is only my secondary purpose for this blog, my number one purpose is to motivate people, my blog just turns to PR2 today and I can’t believe I achieve that, I have regular visits of 200 people more or less a day. It only means that there are people who believe in me and I am happy with that, I will keep on posting articles that I think can help people feel better. It has been a roller coaster ride since I establish this blog but I am still happy because there are plenty of reasons to continue, I will prove everyone that anyone can make a difference. Expose Yourself To Public Scrutiny

The title of this article is very harsh but it is very rewarding once you practice it. Exposing yourself to public scrutiny means freedom. It is being unafraid of critics and you are embracing all the ugly comments that people may tell you. If you are afraid of being scrutinized then it only means that you are not expressing yourself and you are playing safe. There will always be people who will be against you no matter how conservative your actions will be. You cannot please everybody so why not practice courage to express your feelings, shout your dreams, follow your passion no matter how weird it is and stop caging your dreams until you grow old and time is no longer on your side. When you have an idea there will always be people who will judge you and bring you down. I am telling you their words have no meaning unless you give meaning to it. Once you learn how to embrace scrutiny, people who are doing it to you will stop doing it because they feel that it is no longer affecting you. Remember that once you show them that you are affected then the more they will do things that will bring you down. People who scrutinized other people are insecure, weak and cannot do something to follow their own dream that is why they are just focused on bringing people down. The best way to shut their mouths is keep on doing your thing until your dream is realized. Soon you will learn that people who did bad things to you are praising you and you already earned their respect.

If You Play By Their Rules Then You Are Playing Their Game

Many of us were always overwhelmed by someone who we think is better than us. The result is we always follow their rules and their standards. We can no longer play our game and express ourselves because we always think that what we are doing needs approval from that someone whom we think is stronger than us. Maybe that someone is stronger in a single aspect but not in all areas. Their strength comes from our weakness because we allow them to take charge of our lives and be commanded. If you play by their rules then you are not playing your game, you are taking away you freedom and self expression by trying to be conservative at all times. If someone shouts at you because he thinks that what you are doing is wrong then it is up to you if you want to shout at him back so that he will know that you can stand for yourself. The best action for this situation is just keep quiet, don’t show him that you are afraid, just keep on doing what you believe is right and what will make you feel better, remember that no one owns anyone and nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent.

It is easier for us to choose the much easier task or the much enjoyable activity. We are humans and that is normal. Who wants to do heavy tasks anyway? Do you know someone? I know people who do this and those are the most successful people in the world. Yes they do boring things such as avoiding watching TV so that they can have more time pursuing their goals. They avoid parties to keep their selves on track and focus on the things that they are trying to achieve. We even call them nerds because they often socialize and they are not even interested on other people’s lives. They do not know a single gossip because they never care on what people say. Focusing on a single task is very boring especially when that task is so hard, it makes us shift our minds and concentration to activities that will reduce our stress and anxiety such as watching movies, drinking alcohols, smoking or any other activity that will make us feel relieve and comfortable. Remember when you are still in high school and you have an examination, it is very difficult to study right? Our fingers can’t even open the books that we are supposed to study. It is very hard to finish a single chapter because it is very boring. And the moment we are studying, our minds are tempted to watch TV, play video games, text our friends etc. Yes it is very boring when we have to put hours of work to finish a very long task especially when we are not enjoying it. The only way to escape boredom is not to escape it but embrace it ... and once you finish a boring task I am telling you the reward is very sweet.

When you have a dream, a goal or an ambition there will always be someone may it be your friend, relative or the closest in your heart that will always say that it is impossible. Those are one of the hindrances that damage your belief and make it difficult for you to make a decision. Listen, if there is someone who is contradicting your goals it is only a sign that you have to make your faith stronger. Just pretend that you are deaf, forget all the harshest words that they said and start making a progress. The word “IMPOSSIBLE” is just a word erase the letters “IM” and it will become POSSIBLE, it is still a word but it has a different meaning. Now it’s up to you whether you can make it possible or not, the decision is yours, the actions are yours, you cannot trust someone to make it up for you. Have an assessment, take a look around, who are the people who were always using the word “IMPOSSIBLE”? Losers right? They cannot even take the first step to their dreams that is why they wanted you to be like them. They wanted to have a company of losers and pessimists who are taking everyday for granted. My advice is erase them and erase the letters “IM”.

It’s year 2013 now, my blog has been inactive for the last five or 6 months I think. Its main goal is to motivate people and of course to provide an extra income for myself and my family. As of now I am only seeing less results, who is the one to blame? Of course me no other person other than me. I admit it I am a motivator but I also become lazy for the last six months, I didn’t give my best that is why I truly deserve what I have right now. Good thing is I am still alive and I can start this year again with my hopes and dreams still alive. Thank God I still have a strong mindset and belief in myself. I can start again but this time I have to make it right, this time I have to make more sacrifice, this time I won’t talk a lot but walk a lot, this time I have to be more disciplined and committed. My dream is to make my father stop form working and to have a true financial freedom. Let’s say I wanted to become a millionaire, yes I REALLY WANTED TO BECOME A MILLIONAIRE. If anyone has to dream, make it big, make it bold, make it specific and clear. Never let anyone take that dream from you, If you can’t dream big then what is the use in dreaming? Anyone can make a fresh start no matter where he is or how old is he, as the saying goes “it’s not how you start but how you finish” so go ahead chase your dreams fearlessly like what I am doing, never afraid to fall because you can stand up anytime you want.

There are two meanings of waiting, one is waiting for nothing and the other is moving while waiting. Let me discussed you the first one, waiting for nothing is very simple it is like waiting to have a job then an email was sent to your inbox and says you are not qualified. You are very optimistic so you apply for another job again and wait for the result again. This time no email was send to you, the company was very professional and called you and tell you that you are not qualified for the job but you may apply for another position, a less challenging and smaller salary position and because you didn’t like it you refuse to take the chance. You wait for another job opening and it makes you wait for months and to keep yourself away from boredom you go to party every night, drinking and complaining to your friends how unfortunate you are in finding the right job. This is waiting for nothing, you keep yourself stuck in a position where destiny will dictate your life where to go. Moving while waiting is totally different, you are still waiting for something but you are aware that it might not come so you take an alternative way. A perfect example is a 30 year old man waiting for his approval in working for overseas, while this guy is waiting he still working for part time jobs so his pocket won’t be empty and at least he still have something when he gets rejected for his application. Other than that he is also operating a small business that will provide his family in the future, this business is buy and sell it only provide small profits but the good thing is it is earning. Waiting for something for a long time drives us crazy and hopeless, we need to find an alternative that will somehow ease the burden that we carry on our shoulders.

Sometimes over complicating things make our lives harder than it should be. We over looked the solutions because we focus on problems and not on the solutions. A good example is a student who is doing his assignment in Math, he cannot solve a problem because he just look at it and when he saw that the problem is long he over react and think that it is so difficult, he didn’t know that the problem was already discussed by their professor and all he need to do is analyze it carefully. Another great example is a wife wants to prepare her husband a special dish on their 50th anniversary, because she wanted to make it special she research for a special recipe and found one on the internet. The ingredients were very hard to find so the wife got frustrated and when their anniversary come the couple just ended up eating in a fancy restaurant. We make our lives harder because the moment we felt difficulties we tend up to get caught up on that feeling and never look for simple solutions that can get the job done. On the first sample, the student could just go to the basics, read the problem very well even if it is too long, look for his notes and do his best to answer the question instead of planting on his mind that they never have any lesson like that and all he need to do is copy answers from his smart classmates. On the second sample the wife could have just look for alternate ingredients that can still come up with better taste instead of getting frustrated and blaming the supermarkets why their stocks are not complete. When we change our perspective about the problems that was given to us we can solve it easier and we can even enjoy solving it despite of its difficulties.
