During this silent time of the new ZeuAPP development, Grindam slowdown in development, we have decided to start work on the Linux Distribution which we hope will change a lot of desktop’s default OS’s. We’ve focused on minimalism, the easiness, and the lightweight, everything which describes the best what typical Zeusoft user and fan like. Gnome 3 is there but changed along with metacity, giving you the good old desktop interface that you are used from Gnome 2 and Windows. A lot of unneeded stuff is not there, because we want to bring the best desktop experience while keeping the performance on the par with it. For now the only available desktop enviroment is Gnome. More could come in the future if there is enough requests for it. This is the first public release, so some bugs are possible. You can download it from: Freezy Linux website.

We’re testing the WLW at the moment, which will enable us to write the posts on the blog wherever and whenever we want. Please stand by for huge (enormous) ZeuAPP related update.

Today we have ended the protest against the #SOPA and #PIPA act, showing our support for the freedom of the Internet. We are proud that the blackout received good media attention and showed the importance of having the right to create without someone going berserk on you. We will support similar actions in the future.

We are glad to announce that we have opened the website called WinTechies. WinTechies allows us to give you more tips and tricks as well the guides for Windows and other technology, which we couldn’t do on our official blog because it could be seen as favoritism and it wouldn’t compile with our policy. Mainly our policy for this blog is to post only the guides or explanations related to our products, or the guides for aiding our products to work better in the users operating system. Expect to get posts daily, because we have the time and the open policy, which allows us to explain and give you tips and tricks for everything that you need.

Fixing of ZeuAPP 2.0 is currently going slower than expected, due to rewriting of the icon cache download system, coding Grindam and at the same time coding the new ZeuAPP 2.1 which is being rewritten from the core. If you know someone that would like to to work with us, or if you are interested, please use our contact form to give us details. At the moment we need more people because at the moment I’m the one which is managing the Zeusoft’s web presence, and Ivan with 2 other guys is working on the ZeuAPP and Grindam. The main reason for requesting more people is to finish our applications faster, so that we could all enjoy. While waiting, I’m going to give you a little slip. There are complaints about the bug which arises while using ZeuAPP 2.0 which is related to the icon downloading. We’re already working on the solution, but if we don’t release the 2.1 on time before the end of this year, we will instead release a ZeuAPP 2.0.1 to patch the icon bug. Thank you for your error reporting, the solution will be released shortly. Also due to still massive popularity of our 1.x branch, we have decided to update all the software located in it as the Christmas gift for our users. Keep a watch on the new posts, to be informed about the situation and progress.

Google has recently showed the new dropdown integrated with their Logo/doodles. The interesting fact is that it seems they are going for more minimalistic approach, reducing the place it takes on the screen, as well giving the search engine better layout look. Will it succeed?It will cut the needed for the clicking, but the more interesting fact is that their brand with this will have better exposure thus their products will have more users. As they have done the redesign of the Gmail, Google Calendar, Maps and other have gotten the new look and this is actually the logical step to integrating all products under the same look. Divided by the popularity the list expands as you point arrow over the logo. If you ask me this is one of their better steps. I hope that they will roll out this look really soon.

With Google + on the rise, this was the smartest move they could have done. Now on the right side there is the new notification bar which is far nicer than the current one.

In the last few months there were many changes to the site that you may have or may have not noticed. We’ve replaced the main site with the IPB forum software, but due to the less popularity we returned to our normal websites. Due to this we replaced our webmaster and got back on the track where we stopped. However we are working to get everything back on track.From now the blog and the website share the same look. The look of website will be kept for at least 1 year and 3 months until decided if it should be removed and replaced with new one or to keep it.  Our Wikipedia page was deleted by the Wikipedia Staff who actually don’t know how to do their job or what the reliable sources are. We are working at the moment to restore ZeuAPP presence on the Wikipedia. It is as you know one of the example of the free software distribution and as the Ninite, it deserves to have its page on the Wikipedia, as it  has been acknowledged with its use from both business and normal users. At the moment we’re developing the ZeuAPP 2.1 and the Grindam beta. Yes, as you know the development is slow due to only having 2 developers, but we hope to get more so that we can finish them faster. The ZeuAPP will have one new interesting feature which I’m not gonna to reveal you in this post. I can only say that it will be there to promote the best applications their usage, as well the new applications from independent developers. There will be more activity on the blog as we are working on giving everyone something to work one. Currently there are 5 members of Zeusoft: Me, Ivan, Dusan, Milos, Nemanja.  From time to time we get the help from the supporters but it is only one time help in the development. I’m going to keep you updated with the progress of the Zeusoft as we reform the current look as well with the development process of ZeuAPP and Grindam beta.
