So as we get near to Christmas 2009 their is a shortage of toy hamsters or better known as zhu zhu hamsters in the states and go go hamsters in the UK.

This shortage has caused many parents to be furious with some big retailers for hiking the price. As a Dad myself I can fully understand this situation, but sadly it comes down to supply and demand.

The problem does not seem so bad in the USA as it is in the UK at the moment.

The company we recommend is amazon, but I have to say right up front they are not the cheapest at the moment, however they may be the most reliable source for a toy hamster this christmas.

I do not know about you but I can not get away from kids going on about the Zhu zhu pet, I mean the name seems to have very little to do with a toy hamster however this has not stopped them selling in their millions as a excellent present or gift at a very fair price, when you consider what some toys cost these days.
