On my birthday 2 days ago, I lost a dear friend and my son lost his Grandpa Roger.  Roger always loved Sean like his own. . .  since he was a baby, and had a special place in his heart for him.  He went out of his way to take care of him. . .  and even help him with his school homework for the last 2 years to make sure he did well. . .  right down to ordering Seans favorite ice cream from the ice cream company. . . .   he did so much, and cared so much, and had the biggest heart of gold. 

He did what every Grandpa would do. . . spend time with, teach, love, and spoil. . . 

He would always say "I love that kid to death" . .   and he did.

He took Sean & I on Sean's very first theme park adventure to Seaworld. . . one which my son will never forget.

He will live in our hearts forever and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Rest in Peace sweet Roger ~ and a million thanks for being there for us, and especially for Seany.

My sincerest condolences go out to Gwen and her family during this time of loss.

Even though my heart is broken into pieces. . .. without my Gigi. . .  I just wanted to make a post about entering my son Sean in a contest for Gap Kids. . .

This house and property I am on has had it's share of bad luck since 1999. . . I could write a book. . .  the state of florida is bad luck in general and I have no idea why we are here sometimes . . .  but we are here. . . .

I think Sean has a big and bright future in front of the camera lense. .. I would really like to start a college fund for him. . ..  In all my endeavors, I want to give him the ability and the means to have a good college education, to which I never had. . .

My sweet Gigi ~ Gone too soon  . . . . 

Early Saturday morning while I was setting up for a garage sale, to help me pay some bills, my little girl Gigi decided to go for a run. . . and somehow slipped out an open door without me knowing. . .  as I was about to wrap up my long work of pulling furniture to the road for hours,   I decided to take a picture to place an ad. . .  and saw a man walking towards me in the dark. . .  I was scared at first, and he wanted to know if anyone had a dog that had fluffy hair... who was hit by a car and in the ditch. .. As he approached me in my driveway. .   I shrank back into my home, not knowing who this person was..  or if it was a joke.  .    I told him about my new neighbors dog and seeing it get loose, and thought that the dog belonged to the new neighbors on the corner. . .   When I saw the man go up to their house and knock, I knew it wasn't a joke. . . then  turned around and called out for my girl. . .  she didn't respond. .   and I ran to the end of my drive and hollared out to the man that was leaving if the dog that he found had any hair, and he said no. ....  Right then and there, I knew it was my Gigi that was hurt. .  and hit by the car...

I ran to discover my baby covered in blood and fighting to get up.  .   she was already paralyzed from the car and her poor face. .. .   The collier county deputies then arrived, called by the man looking for the dogs owner.  .    I had no one to call while I tried to hold my baby GIgi, and told the officer to call my sons father who lived aroud the block to see if he could help. . . He came by... drove my car with the officers escort all the way to the emergency vet hosptal. . . My baby Gigi was in bad shape, and after x rays it was found that her back was broken in the accident. ..   and she was paralyzed. . . .  I prayed for miracles for my little girl. .  but knew that in the end, she would not survive. ... but still wanted her vet, Randy to see her. . .  to get his opinion. ..   and he concurred. . .  due to the injury to her face and her back. . . .  I had  few hours with my girl. . .  the most traumatic and most uncomfortable hurt and pain in both of our lives. .. . that I will never forget. 

She mustered up enough strength to give me one last little kiss and I kept telling her how sorry I was,  and how much I loved her. ..   and that we had to take our nap together. . . It was my last goodbye to my little girl that suffered so much in an instant. .

I took her home to bury her next to her longtime friends- Zippy and Harriette, so all the girls could be together.  .

The man on the bike in the darkness came by later on in the early evening to find out about my girl. . .   and I told him  the outcome. . . and talked with him. . .  He is an Angel, for both of us.  He was just in town for the weekend visiting his father 2 streets over, went on a bike ride from his cousins house, and spotted Gigi in the middle of the road. . .took her off the road and put her onto the grass, then started looking for her owner at 5:30 in the morning, in the dark.... He gave us a few hours to say goodbye. . .  which I will forever be thankful and grateful for.  The deputy who gave us the rush to the emergecy care also stopped by a little later to see how Gigi was. . .an animal lover at heart. 

My friends Heather  - Pat and Rose helped me immensely through this terrible time, as well as MaryJo, Debbie, Carol and of my friends who have expressed their condolences. . . . Bettyanne, Dave, Debbie, Laura and others. . .

I am a sad, sad Mom, who is trying to keep it together. . . Gigi was there for not only me, but for Zippy .. . .  the one who laid in the bed with you everynight, the one who kissed away your tears when you were alone and kicked in the head by the world. . . the one who stayed up with you until you went to bed, the one who would always pick up a stuffed animal toy and greet you . .. the one who was always happy to see you . the one who loved you . . unconditionally till the end. ..  she was my everything.... unlike a lot of humans on this planet.  She has gotten me through a lot of tough times in the last 5 years. . . and I will, undoubedly, miss her forever. . . .

Until we meet again Mama Gigi. . .  Gigi Louigi Smeegy Peegy. my Wigglebutt . . my baby girl.
