I am proud to announce that our new website is going to launch in 7 days. We have spent a grueling 3 months designing our new website from the ground up to incorporate our new sense of identity, style, passion, and philosophy.

A week ago I gave you guys a sneak peek at a website called Zixzine.com, that was just a sneak peek and we have to confess that it was only a dummy website, meaning that Zixzine will NOT be our new name/ home instead it will be a much cooler name which will be revealed in 7 days. The dummy website was only intended to give an early sneak peek while we pushed even further into development in our actual site.

Now for those complaining about our recent lack of updates on Zixpk.com you will be happy to know that we have a whole slew of new HD wallpapers lined up ready for you to download on December 1st which will be our grand unveiling. We also have a ton of other content which we hope you will enjoy.

So make sure to return to Zixpk.com on December 1st to witness our new identity. Until than may you all have a wonderful thanksgiving (and black friday).

Update: Because of some difficulties that we are experiencing our launch has been rescheduled until Friday December 4th. Sorry about this but we want to make our transition as smoothly as possible.

We love all the submissions that Zixpk.com gets daily from our visitors. It's a pleasure taking a look at some of the most creative and outstanding work out there. Our old submission form only allowed for our users to submit their wallpapers to Zixpk.com. We have now expanded our submission form to allow you to submit all kinds of content that you are capable of coming up with. There is no limit as to what you may submit. The process to uploading your files to us has also been simplified. All you have to do now is fill out our form and click send. So what are we looking for?

We are open to just about anything that your creative skills can master up. Some submissions ideas would be to submit a wallpaper that you have created, a Wordpress/ Blogger template, icons, visual styles, pictures of your workspace, your customized mac/ windows desktop, art that you have created, and custom modded computer pictures. These examples are not the only things that we are looking for so please feel free to submit anything original.

It’s been just over a year and a half since I launched Zixpk.com. Since then, this website has gone through a number of changes. Originally, I launched Zixpk with the intention for it to become a gadget blog. Over time, our passion transitioned from gadgets to design. Since the beginning I have produced just about all the content on this site. It's a daunting task to do especially when you have to keep an eye on all the elements of our web page such as our hosting, advertising, answering emails that you guys send in, our forum, comment moderation, resizing wallpapers, making original posts, and on top of all of that I am still a student in high school, and I have a part time job. I’ve been holding off on making a big announcement regarding guest authors because I wanted to slowly transition into it but today I’m finally ready to announce the fact that Zixpk.com is ready to accept guest authors.

What Types of Articles Are We Looking For?

We are currently seeking all types of design-related articles including:

Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and InDesign tutorials.
Design resources; such as Photoshop and Illustrator brushes, vectors, textures, and seamless patterns.

"So something about my workspace. This workspace is combined with my bedroom so I work where I sleep :). It's located in a small room. The table and other furniture in this room is your typical Ikea furniture and has been slightly modified for my needs. The small shelf on the right side in the window corner is a modified TV rack which I use with my laptop and audio equipment. I use this workspace for my multimedia needs, I like to watch HD movies (I use the blue ray drive in my laptop and connect it to my full HD Asus LCD screen). I used to have this lcd on a factory stand but it was dangerous because of my cat. She has thrown it down many to times so I decided to put my LCD on the wall. Instead of having her keep knocking it down, I made my own LCD holder from the side cover of old computer case. I also use this workspace for my work needs (audio/graphics) as I now work as an advertise creator for one TV broadcast station in my city Olomouc in Czech Republic."

Days With My Father

This is truly a masterpiece that Phillip Toledano has created to honor his father. Phillip is a designer who created a personal journal to record the relationship between him and his father. What is so touching about their relationship is that Phillip's father has no short term memory. His mother who used to take care of the father passed away and Phillip had to lie to his father everyday that his wife was away in Paris taking care of her sick brother because it was unbearable to constantly keep telling him that she was dead. This journal is a masterpiece not only for its true story but also for its stunning photography that captures every emotion imaginable. Make sure to read the journal "Days With My Father," and also consider making a personal journal of your own to remember your loved ones.

"This is the product of a remodel job I did in my home, replaced window, installed a new Maple floor, baseboards and rim, put in a reeded glass door and custom built in the desk. I couldn't find a desk that served my purposes so I just built one into the space. I custom ordered the legs and the rest was taken care of with a few trips to home depot. I really wanted the separation between "work" space and "creative" space... And with all this audio equipment, I didn't want to overcrowd myself when I was paying bills, working from home, or anything like that. It's really a good "his & her's" setup, but I took both sides for myself. The ceiling is only 4' high on either side, but the paint scheme and the configuration makes good use of the limiting height. I took this into consideration that I had to keep the middle area open to access the desks."
