Are people who call themselves 'progressives' really progressive? Are we as 21st century citizens moving forward or going backwards? Islam Sharia law sounds like a throwback to the &th century. Fundamentalist Christianity looks like the clock turned back to the 19th or 28th century Puritan America. Like the saying goes, "I'm not going back!" Who the hell wants to go to a pre-colonial or colonial period anyway? What is happening to the intellectual tradition that got us to where we are?

The Conservatives are scared of something and it has to do something with the 99%. A Washington DC lobbying firm, Clark Lytle Geduldig & Cranford, proposed to the American Bankers Association a $850,000 smear campaign against the Occupy Wall Street movement. The people who wrote this proposal have close ties to House Speaker John Boehner. The memo warned the OWS movement "has the potential to have very long-lasting political, policy and financial impacts on the companies in the center o the bulls-eye." The concern of the memo was ..."should be that Republicans will no longer defend Wall Street companies."

See, this just shows that the conservatives are hypocrites. The Cons at first stated that the OWS movement didn't have a clear purpose and wouldn't be effective.

So why are the conservatives, like Boehner, so scared?
