e-cigarette travel case, The Vaper

I was asked, by a new customer, to create an unusual bag, an e-cigarette travel case. She was struggling to quit smoking and had begun using an e-cigarette. I discovered a whole new world while working on this case. The end result was The Vaper

The people who use these e-cigarettes call themselves vapers, hence the name of the case. There are quite a few pieces of equipment and various supplies that are needed. We worked together to adapt one of my existing bags, in order to provide adequate storage space.

The e-cigarette, itself, can be quite costly, so I created a zippered compartment on the front, with padding on the outside, in order to provide protection

On the back there is another zippered pocket, which can be used for i.d, a little cash, or other e-cigarette supplies, such as small packets of flavoring

Purchase one of my wallet windows , add your i.d., credit card and license, slip it in that back pocket, and you are good to go

Following the style of many of my other bags, the back has 2 d-rings so that you can customize your Vaper, with a wristlet strap

a shoulder strap

or use one to attach your keys

Inside are 4 pockets, designed to hold batteries, flavoring and other accessories you may need

I wanted to keep the size of the Vaper as small as possible, as you see it's easy to carry in it in your hand

Finally, as always with my bags, you are welcome to custom order a Vaper in fabric that you love. You can see my fabric here. Keep in mind that not only is it a small case, but the zippers on front and back "cut" though the print so not all my fabrics will be suitable

I do so many custom orders every week, I thought I should be sharing more of them with you. It's always interesting to see what people select when they have a real choice on the fabric and the bag too. This return customer wanted a Hawk messenger bag which has a padded compartment for an ereader. She also ordered a matching Squirrel with a removable shoulder strap. This combination allows her to use the Squirrel as a purse in the Hawk, and then attach the shoulder strap and use it alone. A versatile combination, in a great fabric I call Oceanside

Padded cases for the new iPad 3

The sizing of the new iPad 3 is so close to the size of the iPad 2 that I don't have to make any adjustments to the cases I have!

Here are a few in stock sleeves. As usual the style is a padded zippered case that is available in 2 models, the standard and the deluxe. The deluxe has a zippered pocket on the front. As with all my padded cases there are 2 d rings on the top in case you want to add a shoulder, or, wristlet strap.

The Boda and Boda Deluxe are sized to hold the iPad 2 and 3, with smart cover, plus other similar sized tablets and netbooks.

The Boc and Boc Deluxe will also hold the iPads (originally designed for the iPad1) and provide a roomier fit. They also fit the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and other larger sized tablets and netbooks.

As always custom orders are encouraged. Since I have 100's and 100's of fabric options why not pick the one that you really love! Turn around time is minimal

It's wonderful when a customer comes back, months after they have bought something from me, to share their feedback. This customer wanted my Tarquin padded case for her sister. She requested that I add a long strap with a clip so she could attach it to her purse, ensuring that it wouldn't get lost. The long strap allowed her to keep it inside her purse. Here's what she said:

"I have no excuse, and only the flimsy reason that my forgetter is working better than ever. I have not thanked you for your special care you gave my sister and I last December.

The iPhone bag is wonderful. The extra pocket is perfect for license, credit cards, etc. Louise has had no problem misplacing her phone ever since she got it. The clip works well to attach to a belt loop when she doesn't want to take her purse, and to her purse when she does.

She is out of town for a while now, but when she gets back I will send you a pic of the bag "en place" as it were.

Alluring mums

I get new prints in stock all the time. Lately I have been trying to add a new one to my photo album, most weekdays. I also post it to my Facebook wall and add it as a Morphin flap, (so you can replace the flap on your bag) to the shop, at the same time. I call this processing the print LOL! This case, the Boc, is the first large zippered, padded case I made for electronic gadgets. Boc means book in Old English. It was sized for the first iPad, but will hold similar sized tablets. It will also hold the iPad 2 if you want a roomy fit, but I designed a smaller case for that, called the Boda.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 fits the Boc sleeve perfectly. I had a new customer find me and order a custom case. She said she had been looking all over the net and was about ready to settle for a "plain Jane" case when she found my site. She narrowed down her fabric choices, from the 100's I have available, to a few, and I made her a case out of her first choice. Within a week she had a beautiful case for her Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Don't settle for plain Jane cases, contact me and order one that makes you happy. As you can see turn around time in minimal

The Boc is styled, as are my other cases, so that you can add an optional shoulder strap, or wristlet strap. There is also a Boc Deluxe, with a zippered pocket on the front, for stashing what ever you want to keep with your tablet.

This is wonderful! Fans of Ikea furniture will know they also make fabrics, and are a Swedish company.
I had this great Ikea fabric that seemed perfect for a Tilly shoulder bag. Gunnel, who lives in Sweden, bought the bag. So my bag, made with Swedish Ikea fabric, has a new home in Sweden.
The lovely Gunnel was kind enough to send me this fantastic photograph of herself and her new bag.

I am delighted to share with you an awesome photograph of one of my customers, and her kind words about the bag I made for her.

Well, it's been six months so I guess I'm recovered from my vacation! Truly sorry about how long this review took. What prompted me was that an administrative assistant at my doctor's office asked me "Where did you get that great bag?" and then asked me to email her your info. (Which I did before sending this!)

Below is a picture of me and Big John, one of the trail horses I ride, and my lovely new bag. While I treasure the bag for its beauty, quality and serious bang-for-your-buck, the experience working with you was equally delightful. I am officially back to work today, after a wonderful, and lengthy, break for Christmas and New Years.
2011 proved to be my best year yet. Thanks to all my fantastic customers. Many are new, and are taking a chance on buying from some woman in Colorado who makes nice bags, LOL! But to those who return to buy over and over again through the years I have sold my bags on line, it's because of you that I am successful. Your trust in me mean so much. I am humbled by the kind comments I receive, not only about the quality of my products, but the customer service I provide as well. Those comments, and the photographs you send, help new customers feel comfortable buying my bags, and asking for a custom order. I can't tell you how many people comment on how helpful the photographs are, as they try to decide which bag to order.

Wow, my orders in the last couple of months have been epic! I have had no time to make much new inventory for the shop, and have spent most of my time shipping and making custom orders. That's why you haven't seen much of me in this blog space!

I want to thank all of you who continue to come back and buy more of my bags. I am honored that you choose to spend your hard earned money on my bags, when there are so many other options. Thanks, as well, to all the new customers who have decided to buy from me this year.

Every year, at this time, I think of all the people who will be opening a beautifully wrapped package to discover one of my bags inside. It's great to think of that happening, on Christmas Day, all over the world.

I am now officially on vacation. All packages are shipped, promised custom orders made, and most shops closed. The main shop is still open but I won't be shipping, or answering emails, until Jan 2nd.
