Samsung Backs ‘Kiss’ Wireless Data Transfer Technology

If you want to transfer a file from your phone to another phone, or a phone to a computer, and so on, usually you’d use a cable. This has been the default method for data transfer over the years and while it works, we guess it’s not the most efficient, but that could soon change as companies such as Samsung has backed a technology by Keyssa called “Kiss”.

The idea behind Kiss is that it will help facilitate wireless data transfer, and we’re sure that some are wondering what is the difference between this feature and other features like Bluetooth, AirDrop, and so on. The idea is that it will be faster, much faster, where you could transfer HD movies within seconds, or as you can see in the video above, you could even instantly stream video from one device to the other without the need for cables at all.

Samsung isn’t alone in backing the technology as other tech companies such as Foxconn and Intel have also invested in the technology, along with some prominent figures in the tech industry like former Apple engineer and founder of Nest, Tony Fadell. The goal is to eliminate the need for cables and we suppose eventually ports.

This could lead to devices becoming even slimmer or thinner than before (which is one of the reasons why some companies have moved to USB-C), or using that extra space to add new features. We’re not sure when we’ll be seeing the Kiss technology debut, but it does sound pretty exciting.

HBO Spain Leaks Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 6

HBO just can’t catch a break lately. It was recently reported that four people had been arrested in India for leaking an episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones. The people arrested apparently worked for Star India, which is one of HBO’s distributors in the country.
So that is another episode leaked.
The sixth episode of season 7 was accidentally leaked online, but this time it seems that this was not by the work of hackers, but HBO themselves, as HBO Spain accidentally broadcasted the episode several days earlier than it was supposed to. The show was only made available for one hour before it was pulled, but it was more than enough time for users to rip the content and share it online. Naturally.
Footage of the episode is being shared on many platforms. So HBO not only has to deal with hackers and rogue employees of their distributors, but also their own staff. It seems that everyone is leaking HBO shows these days. Luckily, this isn’t the final episode of the season, so hopefully HBO will be able to get a handle on all of this and keep their shows secure until they are meant to air on the proper date.

BioShock Remastered Arriving For Mac On August 22

Back in 2016, BioShock: The Collection was officially announced. This was a remastering of old BioShock titles for the console. It was later brought over onto the PC, which had some wondering when Mac gamers could get in on the action.

Good news. Mac users will have it later next week.

BioShock Remastered will be released on the Mac on August 22nd. This is not BioShock: The Collection which features several remastered BioShock games, but instead this seems to be a singular title. The game is priced at $19.99 which is pricier than the original games, but the original will remain in the Mac App Store for those who don’t think that the remastered graphics and enhancements are worth the price.

David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive says, “We’re thrilled to bring an enhanced version of BioShock to macOS 10 years after its original release. The improved graphics make the most of the spectacular art direction, combining art deco design, science fiction themes, and a horror sensibility. There’s never been a better time to visit Rapture.”

The game’s original developers shut down so we don’t know what is in the future for Bioshock,. However publisher 2K previously reassured gamers that BioShock is here to stay, although things have quiet since.

H1Z1 Renamed Just Survive After Major Update(watch Trailer)

Daybreak Games formerly known as Sony Online Entertainment has released a major update for the H1Z1 which not only brings with it plenty of new features, tweaks and enhancements but also a name change from H1Z1 to Just Survive.

H1Z1Has been the game’s name since its Early Access launch back in 2015 features included in the latest update include:

• Badwater Canyon:

◦ A completely new world map designed with multiple styles of gameplay in mind and featuring targeted loot distribution, strategic verticality, exploration opportunities, and hundreds of easily identifiable base pads for Stronghold construction. Badwater Canyon will be rolled out steadily over time, as it is created region by region, in order to give appropriate focus to each aspect of its overall design. It has replaced the game’s original map, so we wish a fond farewell to “Z1”.

• Stronghold:

◦ A new system where players can build robust structures and fortify them with an array of defenses and traps to fend off coordinated attacks. Challenging players with opportunities to attack and defend, Strongholds encourage creative problem solving. ◦ We’ve completely re-itemized the game, adding dozens of new items and giving each of the existing ones clear representation in the world. The days of picking up a striped shirt only to discover it’s actually an orange tank top are over. We’ve also completely overhauled containers and loot placement has also been overhauled so valuable items are spread out in more meaningful ways. We’re also introducing a Rarity system that clearly differentiates the valuable items from the standard fare.

• Golden Eagle Coins:

◦ Items found in the world can be exchanged for a new in-game currency tied to individual characters. These aim to create true value for each item in the world, tackling the problem of item hoarding. Golden Eagle Coins are required to purchase new Stronghold locations, and this currency’s usage will continue to be expanded in the future.

Daniel Craig To Return As 007 In Next James Bond Movie

James Bond fans have been wondering who the next 007 start would be, it turns out we will have to wait a little longer to find out. Daniel Craig has revealed that he will return as James Bond in the next Bond movie.

There have been rumors that Daniel Craig would return as Bond for one more movie, this has now been confirmed by Craig himself.

The news was confirmed on The Late Show with Steven Colbert and the next movie will land in November 2019.

As yet there are no details on the next James Bond movie, the script will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have written the scripts for the Bond movies since the World Is Not Enough.

EVE Valkyrie Warzone Requires No VR Headset (watch game trailer)

Disney Magic Bench Augmented Reality Concept Demonstrated (watch video)

Disney Research has revealed a new concept augmented reality project they have been creating which is pushing the limits of the current AR technology to its limits and allowing digital characters and real-life participants to interact together.

A new project by Disney Research presented at SIGGRAPH 2017 recently showed a way to produce a similar but more immersive effect using a regular camera, a depth camera, audio, and even haptic effects.

AR tech is on the rise with Apple’s ARKit expected to enable fairly convincing insertion of digital objects into scenes as seen through the iPhone camera. The effect from Disney Research, however, is set apart by the haptic feedback and the use of the depth camera that can make interactions between the real world and digital elements more nuanced

"Mixed Reality (MR) and Augmented Reality (AR) create exciting opportunities to engage users in immersive experiences, resulting in natural human-computer interaction. Many MR interactions are generated around a €first-person Point of View (POV). In these cases, the user directs to the environment, which is digitally displayed either through a head-mounted display or a handheld computing device. One drawback of such conventional AR/MR platforms is that the experience is user-specific. Moreover, these platforms require the user to wear and/or hold an expensive device, which can be cumbersome and alter interaction techniques.

We create a solution for multi-user interactions in AR/MR, where a group can share the same augmented environment with any computer generated (CG) asset and interact in a shared story sequence through a third-person POV. PlayStation VR StarBlood Arena Demo Now Available for free

PlayStation VR owners today can enjoy another addition to the ever-growing game of virtual reality demos as new StarBlood Arena Demo is now available on the PlayStation VR platform for free play.

Matt Spencer from developers WhiteMoon Dreams has taken to the official PlayStation blog to reveal more details about what you can expect from the game, together with a few tips to help you get started and stay alive a little longer.

It’s a big day for our studio and our amazing partners Sony’s San Diego Studio. The StarBlood Arena demo launches tomorrow, for free at PlayStation Store! I thought I’d use this post to shed some light on the demo’s offerings, fun things to look out for and also throw in some pro tips for the arena. Drumroll please… The tutorial will help get you off the ground, but I’ve also got some major keys to drop that will have you owning the arena in no time:

– Use your head! One of the unique elements of gaming in VR is the ability to not only use your controller, but your PS VR headset as well to aim. StarBlood Arena makes use of this head tracking technology, so wherever you choose to look – you can shoot!

– Lock on: The pilots of StarBlood Arena come equipped with many lock-on weapons that will seek out enemies and destroy them. Just make sure your reticle stays focused on your enemy long enough for a lock-on ring to appear around them, then fire away for devastating results!

– ABDM – Always Be Dropping Mines: Don’t forget to make use of your mines. The more you drop, the more havoc you will wreak! Mines stay active until they’re blown up – so drop them often for maximum carnage. Warning: this will make the arena extremely dangerous.

– Use your boost: Use your boosters to quickly get in and out of confrontations. Boost time is limited, but it recharges automatically – so time your escapes and attacks with that in mind.

EA FIFA 18 To come to Nintendo switch As Nintendo is to expect more EA games

The Nintendo Switch is now growing in the number of games they have available for the game console, but pretty more instance is when the console have big game developers and publishers create game for the console.

Which is what we think is about to happen as EA is about to bring FIFA18 to the game console.

In a recent interview with EDGE, EA”s executive vice president Patrick Soderlund suggested that the publisher could be thinking of bringing more games from EA’s catalogue onto the Switch, although it seems that this will largely hinge on how well FIFA 18 does on the platform, which is expected to be released towards the end of next month.

According to Soderlund, he states that EA would love to support the Switch and help Nintendo grow their base, but he also adds that as resources are finite, EA has to be smart about how they use it. “But at the same time we have to look at it from a resource standpoint and, at some point, the numbers become a factor.”

“So for us it’s about supporting the platform, building technology for the platform, testing it out with big things like FIFA – and maybe a couple of others, we’ll see – and if they go well, I see no reason why we shouldn’t have as much of our portfolio on that platform as possible. I hope we get there, that would be my personal ambition.” This isn’t the first time that EA has expressed their interest in the Switch, but whether or not the future will entail more big name EA titles arriving onto the console remains to be seen.

Apple To Possibly Release New iPhone 8 Color Called Blush Gold

A new report just arrived that their is a possibility that Apple will apparently launch a new color version for the iPhone 8, the handset will come in a new color which is more copper in color than the Rose Gold of the current iPhones.

According to Benjamin Geskin this new copper gold color for the iPhone 8 will be known as Blush Gold, you can see what he had to say about the color on twitter below.

Apple are expected to launch their new iPhone 8 in September, the handset will get a number of upgrades over the current iPhones.

The new iPhone 8 will also be available in black and white as well, it is not clear as yet on whether the handset will be available in any other color options.

The device will come with a completely new design and an edge to edge display,and also reports said the home button will be absent. It will also come with a glass back and a stainless steel chassis. Apple’s new iPhone will feature the new Apple A11 processor and it is also expected to come with more RAM than the current devices.

As soon as we get some more details about the new iPhone 8, including an exact launch date for the handset, we will let you guys know.

Don’t Knock Twice Coming to PS VR and PS4

New iPhone 8 Dummy Handset Appears On by MacRumors Video

Numerous video from different sources concerning the iPhone8 have been released and now we have a video which shows a dummy version of Apple’s new flagship.
The video we just come across was put together by MacRumors using a dummy model from mobile accessories sites Mobile Fun and Olixar.

The video gives us a look at what the design of Apple’s new iPhone 8 will look like. The handset has had a completely new design over the existing models.
More on the video video is that the mobile phone use is possibly what we should expect when the iPhone 8 is released

From what we are able to summarize from the video, the new iPhone 8 will apparently come with an edge to edge display and will feature a stainless steel chassis and a glass back. The handset will also come with a new Apple A11 processor and more RAM than the current devices.

The Apple A11 processor is said to give a performance boost of around 30 percent over the Apple A10, the handset will also feature Apple’s new iOS 11. Apple have also update the cameras for this years iPhone. The handset will come with a dual camera setup which will be vertical rather than horizontal like the current handsets.

Apple will introduce facial recognition with the new iPhone 8, this will be used to unlock the handset and also for Apple Pay. It is not clear as yet on whether Apple’s new iPhone will have a fingerprint scanner. The home button on the handset is gone and the scanner will not be on the back of the device. It is possible that the fingerprint scanner will be under the display, although rumors have suggested that this will not be available in this years iPhone.

We are expecting the iPhone 8 to be made official some time in September, along with a new iPhone 7S and 7S Plus.

– Battlefront II was strongly influenced by player feedback from the original game. ”After a few months of play, [players] lacked long-term goals,” DICE’s Craig McLeod told me. “These are the things we are looking to nail in Battlefront II.” Prime examples of that increased depth and breadth include the addition of all three film eras, space combat in addition to ground combat, a detailed character progression system, and ongoing free updates to the multiplayer experience.

– Setting the new single-player campaign from the Empire’s perspective was partly borne out of gameplay necessity. “[Battlefront] is about being a soldier on the front lines in the Star Wars universe,” EA Motive’s Mark Thompson mentioned. “It’s about being an ace pilot in a starfighter in the skies. And it’s also about being a hero. We merged those three fantasies… and that’s why we landed on Imperial special forces.”

– The ambition extends to the game’s post-release DLC support. “We decided to embark down a model of seasons, themed around content drops,” McLeod explained. “We’ll look to keep the community together, that’s really important to us.” Shortly after launch, a Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi-themed content drop will hit, bringing a new planet, and new characters (Finn and Captain Phasma) will enter the fray.

"Approximately one year after the defeat of the Children of Arkham, Bruce Wayne/Batman (Troy Baker) slowly starts regaining his reputation in Gotham City following the unveiling of his parents as criminals. He targets Rumi Mori (Keone Young), one of Gotham City’s most notorious arms dealers, who is seen gambling at a casino.

However, a mysterious man in a hood captures Mori and takes the casino patrons hostage. Wayne suits up as Batman and reenters the casino to discover that the man with the hood is Riddler (Robin Atkin Downes), a criminal mastermind from Gotham City’s past who hasn’t been seen in several years. Batman saves the hostages and pursues Riddler, who throws a puzzle box at Batman, telling him that if he doesn’t solve the riddle hidden within it, people will get hurt."

Samsung Launches Steam Link Game App For Its Smart TVs

Samsung Electronics announced the expansion of Valve’s Steam Link to all of its 2016 and 2017 Smart TVs, including the recently released QLED TV line. Samsung is the first TV manufacturer to have this application live on its Smart TVs, The company tends to always bring us new features and functionality.

Instead of connecting Steam Link hardware to the TV, this technology enables users to stream their favorite games from their in-home PC directly to their Samsung Smart TVs via an app in the Samsung Smart Hub. If users connect the in-home PC and TV and run a Steam Link game service on their PC, they can play the game on their Samsung Smart TV screen via the Steam Link app.

The Steam Link app, which was previously available as a free beta version in the U.S. market, is now available in 55 countries, including the U.S., the U.K. and Korea. It supports full 4K streaming on 2017 TV models, and allows Samsung Smart TV users to enjoy thousands of PC games through their big-screen TVs.

HBO Offered Hackers $250,000 To Prevent Leaks

The latest report on the cyberattack on HBO is not new again and you also know about the 1.5TB of data that was reported to be acquired by the attackers from the cable giant’s servers, also the attackers have released un aired episode of Game of Throne as well as unaired episodes of some other shows and also a script which prove that the hack was real

According to a new report, HBO offered hackers $250,000 as a “bug bounty payment” to prevent these leaks.

The hackers behind it all have leaked a screenshot of an email which shows that a senior HBO vice president offered them $250,000 as a “bug bounty payment.” The email is dated July 27 and was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

The email indicates that a negotiation was going on between the network and the hackers. HBO’s response has been worded carefully so that it doesn’t seem like the cable giant is paying them a ransom, it gives the impression that HBO is offering them a reward for discovering vulnerabilities in its system.

“As a show of good faith on our side, we are willing to commit to making a bug bounty payment of $250,000 to you as soon as we can establish the necessary account and acquire bitcoin,” the email reads.

It’s believed that the hackers are demanding millions in Bitcoin from HBO to stop leaking more content. It’s not entirely known at this point in time what other data they’ve managed to obtain from HBO’s systems. The cable giant has not yet commented on the leaked email.

These year we heard of the report of artificial intelligence beat the world’s best Go players and still on same aspect as AI-powered bot has beaten the world’s best Dota 2 players. During Valve’s yearly Dota 2 tournament there was a surprise segment which introduced the AI-powered bot from OpenAI, an artificial intelligence startup backed by Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk.

According to what the OpenAI engineers says that the bot learned fast enough in two weeks to beat the world’s best Dota 2 players. In this training period, the engineers say their bot amassed “lifetimes” of experience.

Elon Musk obviously tweeted about this achievement on twitter. Pointing out that the OpenAI bot is the first ever to defeat the world’s best players in competitive eSports, he also mentioned that Dota 2 is “vastly more complex” than traditional board games like Chess and Go.

The demonstration was limited to a few variables of gameplay, nevertheless, the crowd was excited to see Dota 2 professional Danylo “Dendi” Ishutin being beaten badly by the bot in the live 1-vs-1 match.

Ishutin lost two matches in succession to the bot and forgeited future matches to it. He was a bit surprised to see that the bot could perform at a level comparable to that of a human. He said that the bot “feels a little like human, but a little like something else.”

Researchers Develop Flexible Batteries That Can Run On Saltwater

consumer-grade batteries always have a problem which is their rigidity and they are fixed in terms of their shape, meaning that there are limitations when it comes to designing products based around them, although we have seen companies try to work around those limitations by creating different shapes or stacking them.

However in the future that may no longer be a limitation because in a paper published by Chem (via The Verge), it seems that researchers have managed to create a battery that is not only flexible, but it can also be powered by saltwater, which in turn could lead to the creation of new types of devices and wearables that don’t necessarily have to conform to traditional battery designs.

In the batteries created by researchers, they found that they were able to fold it in half a hundred times without damaging it. It was also found to be safer because instead of being powered by toxic chemicals, it is powered by relatively harmless liquids such as saltwater and IV rehydration solutions.

So far the researchers have managed to create two versions of the battery: a belt-shaped model and a nanotube. They have also experimented with various solutions, such as sodium sulfate (which is sometimes used as a laxative) and saline, with the former offering the best results based on their tests.
