The God of Enough

Sometimes it can feel like we just don’t have enough. We can get caught up chasing riches and gold to find comfort and peace. But peace can only be found within the boundaries of the Lord! He can narrow or expand your borders to whatever it needs to be in your life. However it is framed, be comforted that it is more than what you need in this season.

When you find peace in the ways of the Lord He will make room for bounty.

In the midst of an escape from a bewildered land the Israelites found themselves on the border of the Red Sea. There could be no Exodus cornered and unarmed in between deep waters and their enemies. But, the Lord expanded the borders by splitting the water into walls to cross over.(Exodus 14) If He can make a way past those borders; what can He do for you in the time needed?

He is a God that provides from the impossible. Sometimes your space may not feel enough, but that’s because your desire is more than what you need. Take ownership of the space/borders given. He will make it fruitful and cause it to expand. (Luke 16:20, Philippians 4:12-13)

Men formed the Tower of Babel to make a name for themselves. But God put them in their place! No matter what sticks and stones are thrown to tear you down, remember He is a strong tower to build us up!

The Secret To Success

There are millions of books published on reaching success. However, the only one that is breaking the bank is the author who has sold you the idea of having the answers.

We can often evaluate success to riches, fame, career, position and economical status. Although there are very few Bible verses that speak of success, it is very important to God. Perhaps the most important reason it is not mentioned as often is because success can only truly be found in Him. It first requires trust! Trust Him enough to handle your plans. (Proverbs 3:5)

Even in all the right intentions and logical thinking to make decisions, we can fall short of full succession. Sometimes the only thing we can reach is confusion. The perfect answer to success comes from the Lord. Is there any answer that can be better than His? The motives are weighed by the Lord. (Proverbs 16:3, AMPC) Allowing the Lord to intervene, that’s what separates truth from logic. This reaches the place of what is purely the perfect will of God. That is real Head, heart and spirit agreement!

Traits of a Virtuous Woman

Proverbs 31:30-31

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Can you hear the unforgettable lyrics sung with such melody by Nat King Cole? Charm and beauty is often the very first impression you get and sometimes the last. However, beauty can be subjective if often “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” What makes you so unforgettable?

As a woman we can spend a lot of time and money to preserve and enhance our beauty. However, if you judge a book by its cover then the cover is all its worth. We are created in His image with greater purpose other than perfection of how He created our exterior. We are each uniquely and wonderfully made. (Psalms 139: 13-14) Our Creator shaped and formed a beauty, but more importantly the traits in which we each have to glorify the Lord.

If you want to make a mark in this world, let it be for His Kingdom. Only the Lord deserves to be remembered. We can never amount to His worthiness. But a woman who praises and trusts the Lord has an inheritance that will always be remembered. Where the crown that truly shines! It’s the Lord’s grace. Embrace His glory and display it for others to see for His glory and honor.

Each of us have developed behavioral patterns and learned characteristics. These behaviors can often be influenced by people in our lives. Such examples can be from our parents, leaders, mentors, friends, elders, etc. In all their good intentions humankind is not perfect. (Psalm 147:1) Sometimes advice can stem from self righteous behaviors of wants vs. needs. As well, dispositions framed from previous experiences.

Where should we confirm instructions in order to be our best? The Word! He who is the word is grace and truth. (John 1:13, 17) Our requirement is onto the Lord for man will fail us, but God will never steer us wrong. (Numbers 23:19) It is important to be humble and respectful. However, not everything is yes and amen. Seek the Lord and He will guide your path (Proverbs 3:5-7) In this way wisdom shall follow you to be His best.

“He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you Except to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion), And to walk humbly with your God [setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness]?”

If you seen it believe it! He will do it again! Faith is a funny thing to endure. Unlike the physical body conditioning itself to see results, faith is not seen yet pressed in. What did it take in order for you to first believe? It took seeing something manifest in your life. Joy and hope impacted your heart therefore, you surrendered into salvation. Your eyes viewed differently because your faith rose up like a branch out of a root from its soil. But sometimes the storms come that can question the journey of your salvation. Could you come out of this in victory? Only if your roots of faith presses in.

What if Jesus walked away from it all in the middle of his ministry because the affliction was not worth completing. Or if the disciples did not take Jesus command seriously and just went back to their hometown living their “normal lives.” The Lord’s work would have lived and died in Jerusalem. But what produced out of affliction? Salvation and hope for the world. That is what is offered to you. What more can produce from your faithfulness to pursue. His promises are yes and amen.( 2 Corinthians 1:20)

Dig deep!

Your faith will see you through from a branch to a tree that can withstand the wind that blows and the earth that shakes. The sun will rise up and your tree will bear fruit.

Condition yourself in Christ to see the promises be fruitful in your life.

The Snare

Fore! Timber! Freeze! STOP! Duck! Left!

Hole! Don’t run you’re going to fall! It’s a trap!

Just a few of the common call outs ⚠️ to yield someone to watch out for danger. Did you ever think fear can be a danger to watch out for? Something to have caution? You never hear the call out- “watch out for that fear!” Often fear can be understood as a disposition that needs to be challenged to conquer. Some people will say it’s cowardly to not face your fears (1 Samuel 17:11). But there’s is always things in life we are fearful to face. David faced Goliath because he understood that if the Lord is for him who could be against him. (Romans 8:31, 1 Samuel 17:45-47) His trust in God was that He was bigger then the giant before him. But to the rest of the Israelite soldiers that were behind David, they did not. (I Samuel 17: 23-24) What would have it meant for the Israelites if the story unfolded without David showing up to the battlefield? (1 Samuel 17:22) Fear would have been the snare that paralyzed them before the Philistines.

Who do you think plants a trap? Only an enemy. Just as that giant and the rest of the Philistine army was an enemy/threat to the Israelites so is Fear! It is the catalyst “the snare” that the enemy uses to rob us of our victory. (1 John 5:4)

So what is our weapon? Trust! Trusting in the Lord is our courage, because it is our protection. It is our shield of faith. It is our defense in the battle. We face our fear with faith and trust in the Lord, so fear will no longer be a snare!

I encourage you today, before fear is a snare place your armor of trust. It is the shield of faith, truth on your belt, and your helmet of salvation. Let your trust in God be your protection.

What happens when you stay stuck wanting to hold on to yesterday’s season?

““While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.””

Summer is my favorite season. The glow of the sun warming my skin. The light that shines so gloriously gives me joy. Longer days and shorter nights motivates my energy and the desire for adventure. However, when the transition begins to fade from summer to fall the resistance begins. Refusing to accept a change of season I still dress the same and my mindset remains in my preferred climate. A hope for a better tomorrow, a warmer day and a longer summer. And I am reminded tomorrow is never promised. “Don’t boast about tomorrow, for you don’t know what a day might bring.”

Although we don’t know what tomorrow may bring, a farmer sows in an anticipated season. His seeds are planted a season prior. With reluctance seeds are scattered into the field some may fall on the ground and some make contact into the soil. However, we choose which seed we want to be. Where we are planted is not by luck, but by choice.

We must sow well to be rooted into the ground. To weather the storm unlike a scattered seed blown from the direction of the wind. In order to germinate

to produce a crop we must sow intently into good soil. Read Matthew 13:1-9

Be ready in and out of season

A soldier does not get to choose the atmosphere nor the environment upon which he has to endure. In order to sustain wherever he/she will be positioned they must be trained to endure all seasons. “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” II Timothy‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As a soldier is trained to protect and save, we as believers are called to operate in the calling given to fulfill our ministry. Read 2 Timothy 1-5. Whether it be yesterday’s season or climate, or yesterday’s word, or yesterday’s instruction; we have a responsibility of moving forward prepared of what is to come. Because if we are stuck in yesterday’s season we will be like a scattered seed reaching only the surface of the soil. We shall produce a crop but short in its crop because it’s roots will dry and wither from the sun.

As the sun sets to an end of a season, the Lord teaches me to embrace the one that is to come. In our training grounds we are able to move from glory to glory (2 Cor. 3:18) to grow like a tree planted by the rivers of water. Amen.

Good News! Do not be Discouraged

Good news! Do not be discouraged. Sometimes we will go astray from His direction. We may think we are going the right way but maybe we did not hear correctly. Or maybe our stronghold (whether be fear, pride, control, escapism, skepticism, etc.) lead us left. But God! We may go astray but He is with us to lead us back. He will replenish us and never leave us hungry, cold or in the dark. Although the Israelites traveled 40 years what would of taken 40 days, the Lord never left them nor forsaken them. He provided them with manna, quill, cloud by day, fire by night, water from a rock and never their clothes tethered. All the while in the wilderness and in the desert He was raising an army to conquer the land promised to them. He is Lord!

Elijah in fear ran from Jezebel. In His fear the Lord met him where he was. The Lord replenished him and set Elijah to another journey so to strengthen him, deliver him and remove those strongholds. He transformed Elijah to be armed in the Lord, to go back and face his enemy. The Lord told Joshua, to be strong and courageous, I will fight for you. Over and over again we see in the word how the Lord met His people where they were to rescue them from themselves. Ultimately, Jesus fought for us to take away all of our sins. Why should we be anymore afraid. We Have The Victory! Why do we walk like peasants when we are children of the High God.

Despite our mistakes, setbacks or downfalls know that God will meet us where we are at to transform us and build us up to His image.

Fearless warrior rise up, I am with you. Do not be ashamed. Do not be afraid. I have dusted you off and cleaned you up so that My light be your victory.

Amen. Be encouraged.

God will meet you where you are. In a whisper He hears your cries and the desires of your heart.

“Then Elijah became afraid and immediately ran for his life. When he came to Beer-sheba that belonged to Judah, he left his servant there, but he went on a day’s journey into the wilderness. What do you do when the Holy Spirit prompts you? Like a lover (the lover of your soul) longs and calls for your attention. Not tonight, I have a headache. I’m too busy, I’m too tired I want to sleep or maybe in the morning. Do you deny your spouse when he/she plans a date or Seeks some intimate time?

What do you do when the Lord gives you a command? The creator of humankind. The author of our lives. The beginning and the end. I’m too scared. Is that you talking Lord? I can’t or that’s too hard. But what if your supervisor gives you a directive? Sets up a meeting? Is there a choice to not show up?

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep My commands and instructions?”

Our works is only within arms length of ourselves. The Lord’s arm is never too far to reach when we seek His face in our time of prayer. By our own strength we cannot reach the heavens. But when we rest in Him, in our weakness we find His strength. We have no superpower but in Christ all things are possible.

God’s perfection never has to be seasoned. He is as the word defines, perfect. Although we live in seasons and journeys, we gather stones, we build, plant, grow and prune our Creator creates. As He gives and takes away. Job 1:21 The sun rises and sets. The moon and stars light the night. The cold passes and the wind blows. But nothing is a lifetime in its own.

Our creator is perfect in every which way. He says, so it is so in His perfect good will. As we recognize His nature, we become in awe to exalt, give honor and praise. As we learn to take notice that the air we breathe is only because He brought the breath into us. The food we eat is only because He provided it before He created us. Yet the storms come, but then they go. The joy and peace He offers freely. As we build, grow and learn to know to never let go our devotion to the Lord who guides us a Father, provider, protector healer and more.

Your ever feel like your standing upon grounds
that suddenly shakes with a spirit that surrounds.
There is a warfare all around.

-And in a breathe that breathes God
You rise tall along an army
that stands small to the crowd;

in its multitude to your few.

Passing The Grade

If you had a homework assignment due by the end of the day, would you work at meeting its deadline ? What would be the consequence for turning it in late? For some teachers that is not even an option. How often does a Godly assignment pass us by before meeting it with His grace. This is what was going through my mind as I was in a conversation with my husband frustrated with the idea of giving in to his needs. Weighing the balance scale of what I've done outweighing the scale with what he's done for the day, in our lives, in our marriage. The calculation was determined against the idea of giving in to him because it is just not fair! However, despite my calculated thoughts, the Holy Spirit gave me the suggestion of what I should say before my choice response. We often take advantage of that small voice that speaks to us offering us guidance to make the righteous decision that can help our day operate in His glory rather than our contrite state. We can fail the test or miss the mark when we choose to be swayed, "overcome with our emotions" shifting the outcome to a more hostile environment robbing ourselves from the peace offered to us daily. The Bible guides us to know that the battle is not ours. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens." Ephesians 6:12 HCSB. The warfare is in the heavens, not in the positions we fight for or the people we fight against. When I think of a battle between God's warring angels against the warring fallen angels and minions in this one circumstance where I can go against what my flesh and emotions are holding onto and what the Holy spirit is guiding me to do. The moment I weigh in my flesh is the moment that gave power to the enemy thus releasing the power from warring angels to protect me. If I made the decision to give the enemy authority to operate in this circumstance, the Lord's will not bend or fold according to His own principles. Imagine this, a place warring for your soul where your decision of righteousness, right and truth, or unrighteousness, wrong, and lies can determine the direction of power to the circumstance. So I ask again, if you were given a homework assignment due today, would you wait until tomorrow to answer and turn it in? Are we willing to allow the consequences to eat up at us interfering in a fight that is not even ours. Now the next question is will you turn it in to just a passing grade or strive for excellence. In this case scenario to make a point, I answered as if having no choice to what God was tugging at me in the hour. However, my response weighed bitter and with resentment throughout the rest of the day. How do you think I got the grade? Did I even pass? Sometimes we are unsure of that answer until the grade comes in. When I think about the having to wait until day we are to meet our Heavenly Father to get that response, I think I want to go back and fix my response. The end outcome is not worth the fight that was never mine to begin with.

Stopped by a pack of Geese

Just about an hour ago I got stopped by a pack of geese crossing to get to the other side of the road. (Padum! Lol) This causing traffic and delay from my race to work. The only regret I have is that I didn't take a picture as I waited. Sometimes God causes you to stop to look at his wonders and creation. In this God moment I am reminded of His miracle in me. He rerouted my travels to work this morning to reflect on the journey from where God has birthed me to where he has planted me today. Even though this moment delayed me from getting to work on time, I was struck with emotion reflecting on the journey that has brought me from glory to glory. The Lord has delivered me, expanded my territory and fulfilled His promise with a promise for more. In all of that all He ask us to love Him and plant seeds of His love.

Without getting into details of my testimony of what God has delivered me from and how He has expanded my territory, I share this with you. Rushing out to get to work with some grace and maybe in just a nick of time, all I did was whisper a prayer this morning saying, "God helped me be aligned to our time and season and display Your best in me." Then He stopped me in my haste to see His miracle. Why worry about anything when God is caring for all? The bible says, Do not be anxious of anything, but in all things pray about everything. (Phillipians 4:6) In our anxiousness and worries God is walking us into the solution He has provided for the problem. In our lack, He has is delivering provision to supply. We race instead of pace ourselves to our destination that often brings ahead of His time, to then having to stop and wait for the divine time. Be encouraged, be patient and be still enough to see His wonders. This is a seed of encouragement for whoever shall desire to receive.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Seek Him and His Kingdom

Sometimes in our lives we find that what God has displayed for us is more than enough. There is the feeling that we hold enough power to sustain us for the season we are in. In other words, we stay in the same spiritual movement, therefore we become stagnant. However, God wants us to seek more in our spiritual walk in order to truly understand what it is to be in His image. Our journey is to seek the very face of God until His face is found in us. To discover His face, is to discover who we really are (but that is another topic for another time). In turn, when His face is seen in us, the power and authority of God begins to break loose allowing His glory to consume us everywhere we go. (Shout a praise!)

How do we seek His face and gain such expansion of power? To dig deeper is to exercise the power of God. The exercise comes in studying the word, digging deeper in prayer, and building relationships as a church (Referring ourselves as a church). As important it is to find a home church and to fellowship amongst the members of the house we worship, that place is a training ground to what we would do outside of those four walls.

This power is not just for us, it is to build the body of Christ as His bridegroom. We are called to speak and move in it for our family, and those God is calling to be drawn into His light. However, we must begin to take the limits away from ourselves to believe we can claim greater heights with God so He can move through us. There is a spiritual mountain that is higher than the Everest, higher than any Andes mountain. Be encouraged to know that it does not take physical strength and great courage to conquer it. It takes Faith. The good news is, your faith can come in the measure of one grain of a mustard seed. Because of His mercy, that measure of faith can move a mountain (Refer to Luke 17:6). (Shout a praise!)

Jacob was able to have access to the ladder that led to the heavens. (Genesis 28:12) This was simply done in resting on a rock. We are redeemed upon the rock (Psalm 78:35, Psalm 18:31). The instruction is within what He has instructed. Rest in faith, so to hear His instructions so to get up and follow it. Then trust in God and not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). We can no longer be like the paralytic that awaited by the pool of Bethesda for someone to pick him up when the waters would bubble up. God has already spoken. He has told us to, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” (John 5:8 NLT)

Can you imagine if even half of us would move in that capacity? If our churches would become one in worship? God would be the strong tower upon our cities and across the seas. The waves of revival will truly manifest, opening the heavens, pouring in the floodgates of heaven upon us all. Seek Him and His kingdom shall be found! (Refer to Matthew 6:33) Now Go!

May your hunger seek water within the brooks and be quenched with living water. Be an overflowing glory of His love upon many so that His light can consume the earth.

Adjusting our focus

Do you ever find yourself struggling to get a wide lens of what is around you? This is my experience while driving on the road this evening. Attempting to see the left hand side of me through my side view mirror, I was unable to see my blind side. That is when a revelation occurred. I Adjusted my mirror to give me sight to see. An awakening happened, I once was blind but now I see! All along I was limiting myself from hinds sight. Sometimes we can get comfortable with just enough. We can often, without any recognition, find ourselves limiting the power and authority to expand. Complacency is easy to perfect when we become comfortable with what is given, making do with what we have. Ask yourself, is this all there is to see, know and experience? Am I offering myself a narrow lens of sight? Sometimes all we need is to adjust our lens to see our journey clearer. When we offer our frame of space to be filled with the Holy Spirit our lives are adjusted to discern all that is around us. “Ears to hear and eyes to see— both are gifts from the LORD.”

Are you struggling to see the road? Adjust the way you see and know that God has called us to expand our territory.

Free will allows us to make the decision to follow God's instructions or follow our own. However, once we use the power within humanity, we divert ourselves from the road in which leads us to the land of milk and honey. All of a sudden the road that was built stretches wide, rough, crooked, with many outlets and dead ends. Eventually we will get to the road upon which He designed for us, but it will be recognized that not by our own strength but His.

Following God's instructions requires obedience. It is the discipline of having self control from one's self. It takes self control to create the discipline of giving God control. Allowing every thought to be His so that we can be in agreement with His will for us.

“Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.”

Proverbs 16:3 AMP

It's quite simple to fall into the pattern of following one's own tactics and ideas. We convince ourselves of plans that will best reach our goals. But only the Lord can make the crooked paths straight and lead us to promised land and inheritance. Forty years it took for the Israelites to touch the promise that is Israel. Their identity was already the name of which their inheritance will be. However it took forty years to touch and agree to that promise because of their own will that daily wrestled with God's will. Greed distracted them, desire swayed them and idolatry fooled them. We must recognize the power of God and know how important it is to follow Him. His ways are not our own.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:8-9 AMP

When we follow our own thoughts and tactics we are attempting with the idea that our ways are higher then His. This is what causes us to go around the mountain more times then what God has destined us to. Aren't you tired of walking around the same place thinking your going to get some place different? When will the tripping of our own feet be enough to say, 'ok God I am going to do it Your way!' ? The lessons were taught from the beginning. Our forefathers were mere babies for our God teaching how important it is to honor our father, honor our husbands, honor men. So much so that Ham was punished for disrespecting their father's drunkenness. Caleb was struck for being jealous of Abe and/or questioning a righteous sacrifice. Moses was refused to enter the land of milk and honey for taking matters a little further then God instructed. Those lessons was taught from the beginning so that we would understand the vitality of following Him according to His ways and not our own. Are you willing to delay your promise because of trying things your own way?
