Artist Statement for “Vivid” series

“Do what you will, this world’s a fiction and is made up of contradiction.”

-William Blake

When lost inside the moment of dance with friends and strangers, one can forget all mental constrictions of what is right or wrong; what one should be doing for betterment is all forgotten. Working from ideas of being up late feeling the world spin covering worries with a drink in one hand and the other is turning the volume up on the stereo. Being caught in a dark place of people trying govern/stop others while vivid life coming from the freedom of dance appears through this darkness.

Opportunity House Mission Statement

To provide a safe, secure, drug-free and helpful environment for homeless participants to use as a springboard to self-sufficiency and to a productive lifestyle in the community. Opportunity House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, governed by the Vacaville Social Services Corporation. The Board of the VSSC is made up entirely of volunteer community leaders and members of the Vacaville Ministerial Association. The shelter is funded largely through community donations and local charities including the annual Festival of Trees, Texas Hold Em' tournament, the annual spring dinner and the Opportunity House Thrift Store.

Artist statement

Bending Dimensions of Reality

Looking over the horizon, I see our humanity grow like an endless avalanche with more and more everyday without any fear in sight to be found. World’s clash of symbols of good/evil, pure/un-pure, and with nature versus industrialization. I question the viewer of what becomes more important to preserve, our feats of mankind or beauty that needs no modification?

Perceiving perception in a two-dimensional box world of computers, phones, and televisions that keep the living driven by machines. Has depth in far-sighted vision been forgotten in western society from our forced need to gaze upon these screens giving us quick release from work driven society? This project is to combine an understanding and respect for nature/industrial living as they clash together on the canvas by the usage of the style, mixed media painting to depict my perceived visual life with an artistic touch made for visual pleasure as one ponders western living.

With music replicating life with deep complexity and universal love based on multiple self-clashing/ flowing layers reminiscent of these labyrinths that take an audience deeper and deeper creating a western derived story. Music goes hand and hand with visual art as much as a child needs a hand to cross the street. Consisting of several layers of replicating sounds to create a flowing story to be heard, but western living has accelerated this peace of the past simplicity in composers. Modern music is generally overthrown with clashing sounds and noise that would have been burned at the stake in past centuries, but as we rush with time an artist replicates current life consciously or subconsciously. An example of westernized sound fighting its very institution would be dub reggae, jazz, punk, and all electronic. With a stylistic incorporation of sound waves on the industrial foreground to design a metaphor for human interaction as we overlap our life levels together.

The shape of the canvas is for aesthetic wall reasons as a shape other then another box is bestowed on a wall. As we combine convoluting lives of different cultures or squares as they become one and one can only think “outside one box.” The scale is large to replicate actual vision for the viewer and to keep them wrapped into a self-created story. With replicating buildings that are clarified as “Green Architecture” we remove from time driven beauty to show our feats of western production. Grab the Charging Bull of Wall Street by the horns and conquer to escape Babylon.

Lil’ red riding hood

Lost in her dreams while enjoying the warm morning air inside the smog. Hopping along through a town of confusion taking on the sights and sounds while doing her deliveries for granny. Red is about five feet tall and is cute as button, (as the camera moves up her legs with shines sparkling of her curves) she is a very popular girl in her neighborhood, and this girl has the cleanest record. Ask all the boys, dosen’t drink, smoke, cheat, lie, hate, hurt, and she is the most dependable person in town.

Grannies bakes are all organic and made from the freshest ingredients in town. Cookies, brownies, cakes, chocolate, snikerdoodles, nickfoodles, bangoogles, lovedrops,…

There delivery service is at a constant move with red. Everyday a fresh baked amount is sent with red and she waits on call to deliver (smart phones) selling out everyday keeps this shop local only and loving only…

It's a start to something i guess haha...

2011-06-13T22:49:00.000-07:00

Some tunes while you explore some of my digital works...

Trying to find a meaning in just another American three-day weekend.

My rhyme schemes go from first to third person to self-commentary; it’s a lot more entertaining in person. (Still got stage fright thought)

But still just having fun with this art practice.

“Hey guys let’s go to this gallery wonderland located in SF Mission district, and see something other then that circle jerk around a bunch of cum buckets.”

Nah let’s drift deeper into our pools of regret trying to think about something different. As we are locked inside our past’s just wanting to be something more again as we are lost inside a parallel universe. Everyone just trying to get another dime another dollar for the next day to get ahead in this lil’ rat race monopoly land-locked lifestyle. With so much self-confusion lost inside that parallel word just havin’ to much fun.

Let’s build and recycle.

Let’s conquer and use.

Let’s blind our youth.

Let’s hide the truth.

Yo let’s go sail away from hear.

Drive myself so far up that coast just lost trying to be something so fast.

Just tyin’ to get that another dollar as you build up so fast but when you fall back into,

That parallel pendulum universe you call yourself something more?

As you lock deeper deeper down inside.

Going so fast just trying to escape as a fortune puts you so subsided lost inside that crusin curiosity.

Just tryin’ to find a meaning.

Watching those greats so high up on that throne.

Watch, Watch , and learn but will ever be?

Just feed like that pigeon.

Just feed off of their greatness,

As they fly so high eating off of your habits.

All hail those up there

All hail those so lost up there.

Those cool slick jivin’ fools.

So gone up there.

Just let that feeling go be lost inside this new strange beat.

Forget about me and go inside that beat.

And let’s cruise all night.

Windows up peddle down droppin’ it so far and free.

Lights lights flash by

So lost inside that paralleled universe.

Just have fun and build that rep.

Don’t worry one day you’ll wear that throne if you just dedicate that time to be lost inside something greater that lyrical thought poetry. Having the beat come back

Smooth sailing watchin’ those stars fly by coming back into reality.

Need another smile from hunger.

So hungry to be lost again.

Not what you think you’ll be,

Not what you think this is.

Talking in third to the first and the second parallel universe.

So much judgment of in correction to what is to be done.

Lost inside Washington’s world with all the potential to be that but forget that.

Just have fun ya know as your ride that beam of light back.

Moving so fast.

Can’t slow down going up the Cali north to the south trapped on this island of love.

Cali is got all love all the love that you’ll ever find.

Can’t sleep as that curiosity locked inside those dreams hunts your every waking breath.

Re-create re-create that feeling.

Splitting the sole trading those signs of life as we clash on through destiny’s people with so much curiosity

Slowing down as such a calm sound drips inside the mind slowing down that blood movement.

Just ease on through life.

No need for competition.

No need for cars.

No need for more fast food.

No true need for drugs.

No freedom to be free.

Don’t just eat, sleep, and fuck because that’s all the blackness Washington’s wants.

To easy to control this idocracy found inside this land locked life.

So what join their army of destroyers and forget yourself.

Kick open that door and kill anything that breaths.

The only difference from then and before is time, time, time again.

Where have all the hippies gone?

They have all become capitalization or have fallen.

it was just a fad...

what's next cowboy djs?

Just listen to the easing sound and forget where you are.

And forget about those greats that make so easing and build that universe of your parallel liking.

"A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave"
Mohandes Ghandi

Beautiful Sounds

2011-05-31T22:43:00.000-07:00

This song is simply mesmerizing. Just turn off the world and turn up those speakers and make peace inside your mind as the sound make you trip into the end of the sound's time.

Sketches of my idea of vivid light radiating through darkness.

Some Tunes while you enjoy some visual expression this evening.

Went to the "Chillin" art Salon show at the Mezzanine in downtown sf.
Met some beautiful people and promoted ESEF apparel with my art.
Learned a great deal about the mingle of the art world but i was given a great amount of good eyes and compliments but SOMEONE CRITICIZE ME!

“What each must seek in his/her life never was on land or sea. It is something out of his/her own unique potentiality for experience, something that never has been and never could have been experienced by anyone else.”

-Joseph Campbell

Mirrors

Those Eyes so large and full of Blue showing a mirage of my ocean dreams so far and free.

So much easier when were together as you creep up closer aside this side away from the other side.

My world is so upside down when I want to scream for you,

As I walk upon the ceiling of this earth.

Casting down my ideas for all but all I want is that with you.

Heart shattered into a beautiful mosaic so easy to gaze through.

My world just slows down when you show your artifacts just to me,

As I watch those eyes depict this earth.

Casting down the rain to give back all I wanted with you.

Heart so cold as the veins drip and freeze the maze through.

My world is your world as your signs point to take me,

As I watched it change your earth.

Casting down a pain that shook my being when with you.
A depiction of your beauty shown when the sun ignites a new season,

Heart pieced together when those flowers bloom though.

Those eyes so large of Blue as that endless smile makes my three-dimensional being.

I become yours when together but nothing can ever be,

Because there is so much that wasn’t meant to be.

To early to jump back into the blue eyes with.

As I want to fix your world so you can be with,

As I want to save you,

Hold you,

Protect you,

My life to be,

As the morning warmth takes our hearts into flight,

As you save me,

Hold me,

Guide me,

Your life to be.

As balance is so easy when we save, hold, protect, and forever love each other so far and free.
