The theme for this Halloween collection is Disney villains and the scent choices are perfect

Vizir- bodywash

Hop on board the magic carpet and take a ride to Agrabah, just take care not to run into the Royal Vizir, things are not as they seem. This tall bony character is a cool headed schemer with evil at his heart. Jafar is often noted to be an amoral psychopath who’ll not hesitate to destroy anyone he perceives as a threat to his own sinister designs. His scent is full of Eastern influence, Arabian oudh nestles seamlessly against dragonsblood, honeyed woods and a hint of souk spices.

This is one of my favourite scents from this sampler and it will definitely be on my list come order day! It smells exactly the way you would expect jafar to smell. Dark, dirty and strangely sexy!
Or is it just me who finds animated characters sexy?….;)

Evil queen – body wash

Snow White’s villain is the embodiment of pride and vanity from her golden, jewel tipped crown through her black, purple and deep red attire to the tips of her yellow orange high heeled shoes. Dark damsons, red berries and pumpkin create a concoction to emulate her vain and prideful colouring, with a shot of shiny red macintosh apple to represent her attempt to rid the world of our heroine.

This is another scent I have on my list to order. I can smell the damsons and berries with maybe a hint of apple? Really nice fruity scent

Dark cloak- bodywash

warm vanilla swirling into a cloud of pink marshmallows and a hint of toffee and fig. (scent idea by Joanne D)

I definitely smell vanilla and marshmallow in this scent. Sarahs vanilla is lovely and warm so this will be a lovely scent for those winter nights

Queen of hearts – scrub

The tyrannical and deranged ruler of Wonderland, she is renowned for being psychotic and has huge mood swings from being content to enraged within a matter of seconds. Unbirthday cake, vanilla cream and red raspberry & strawberry sauce

I wasn’t sure about this scent when I first gave it a sniff and now I know why! Birthday cake (Or unbirthday cake) is a scent I’m really not a fan of…This is one that’s definitetly not going on my list

Lady of autumn -scrub

honey, milk, sandalwood and rose petals (scent idea by Nikki S)

This one I knew contained rose as soon as I opened. I’m allergic and the scent gives me a headache   I love the colours of this one but sadly won’t be able to use it.

Underworld – scrub

Welcome to the realm of Hades and his sidekicks Pain & Panic. Hades, the whispy fiery headed villain from Hercules is the god of the Underworld, along with the help and sometimes hindrance of his very naughty minions Pain and Panic he schemes to take over the throne of Olympus. A colourful concoction of whispy blue candy floss, silly lime and crazy blue raspberry slushie.

I love this one I didn’t have the scent descriptions yesterday but can definitely smell all the notes now I know what they are. Blue raspberry slush ie is one of my favourite scents and this blend works really well. Another for my list

De vil – scrub

With her fur coat and bright red lipstick she is easily recognisable as the puppy stealing villainess that we all love to hate. Another of Disney’s iconic villains she was styled on Bette Davis, Rosalind Rusell and 1940’s glamour. Opera gloves, high heels and skin tight dresses are her usual attire, along with lashing of teal eyeshadow and bright red lipstick. This sexy floral is tribute to the red lippie of the 40s and the stylings of this puppy pinching diva. Night blooming jasmine, sandalwood and musk make this so sexy in a floral, but not too floral kind of way.

I hate floral but this is gorgeous!  I’d actually day this is my favourite from the whole sampler. It’s a really clean and pretty scent. I’m really looking forward to ordering this in MU spray and whatever else is available

Vampires first bite – mu spray

blood orange, red berries and crushed pomegranate (scent idea by Rachel F)

This is really fruity and I get a clean background scent.  Really nice and refreshing

Treat or treat – mu spray

All the sweet foodyness you could wish for: Halloween candy corn, sweet waffles, sugar cookies, gooey caramel and a huge dollop of vanilla ice cream.

I’m not a massive foody lover but this isn’t bad! I can smell the sugar cookies, waffles and vanilla but only get a hint of caramel usually I find caramel scents bitter and overwhelming but this is a really nice blend and the scent complement each other beautifully

Mistress of evil – mu spray

Magnificent Malificent, often referred to as the leader of the Disney Villains, her most famous quotes is “You poor simple fools, thinking you could defeat me. Me, the mistress of all evil.” With her gothic pre renaissance styling she is slender, beautiful and extremely powerful with the ability to fly, shape shift, teleport, cast spells and is considered to be the embodiment of evil….she is one diva to be reckoned with. Her scent is as memorable as her image deep ruby Cabernet, red berries, dark woods and Iso E Super to add a little extra magic.

I can definitely smell cabernet and berries! This is quite a complex scent and is probably the one scent that will work really well as a perfume

Before I go there is just one more scent I’d like to mention…It wasn’t in my sampler and I haven’t yet sniffed it BUT when I read about it on the group this afternoon it definitely deserves a mention..

Genie– Remembering Robin: Obviously not a villain, the Genie from Disney’s Aladdin was voiced by the much loved Robin Williams. As you will all know Robin Williams passed away earlier this year following a long battle with depression. He was a much loved and extremely talented man who gave much joy and happiness to countless people. I wanted to do something to recognise and remember Robin Williams and with this year’s theme being Disney related I thought it would be a fitting time to release a limited edition scent in remembrance of this much missed man. Fruity blueberry and marshmallow combine to create a wonderful blueberry smoothie scent. If this scent is ordered as part of a Halloween set, £1 for every item in the scent will go to the chosen charity for depression or suicide prevention. There will also be a Genie set available from which 100% of the profits will go to the charity.

I loved the man and like most of you grew up watching him make the world laugh. This is a really fitting tribute and I definetly think it deserved a mention.  I’ll be ordering mine

More than any other holiday I most look forward to Halloween so when enchanted started talking about their Halloween collection I started to get excited! I know it’s only September and there’s still a little sunshine left but when it was announced on her facebook page that this year Sarah would be releasing a halloween sampler so you could smell and sample the scents before choosing which products you wanted in your Halloween set I gave a little squeal! Especially when Sarah messaged me and asked if I’d like to receive a sampler to review on my blog and YouTube channel.

What makes this even more exciting is the theme, Disney villains! I’m totally loving this theme and can’t wait to see the Halloween sets once they have been prepared. There’s not much else I can say without revealing too much sooo. ..

I’m a big fan of scrubs and have bought and used a lot of different brands/vendors over the months and can honestly say future primitive bubbling sugar scrubs are amazing! And by far my favourite!
I bought my first bubbling sugar scrub in a sample size and on first opening I wasn’t too sure that it was going to actually scrub much..usually you can see chunks or sugar grains and tiggys looked smooth and creamy.
BUT upon using…wow! Seriously it’s magic stuff it’s scrubby but creamy and it leaves your skin feeling polished and soft! It foams into a lovely silky foam and even Hubby is impressed. Great praise indeed since he’s not usually bothered what I make him use as long as he’s clean. Also it works great on the boys knees after football as it’s not at all harsh on their skin.

The next product I really like is future primitives whipped cream soap. A little goes a long way, and as I follow the future primitive soap Facebook page, I have been using as a shampoo on my hair and am really impressed!
Tiggy posted that she had been using the whipped soap as a shampoo and I decided to give it a go. Her recommendation was to use a £2 coins worth on wet hair so I wet my hair and totally ignored her recommendation…I swiped a good amount into my hand and soon realised I should have listened to tiggy as my head was soon covered in a thick creamy foam! I rinsed it off and re-washed using the recommended amount (which is more than enough! My hair is fairly thick and reaches halfway down my back)
My scalp is easily irritated and I have to wash my hair every other day and blow dry after each wash to keep the itchiness at bay. After using the whipped soap my scalp feels soothed! I can go longer without washing my hair and the condition of my hair feels better and more easy to manage. I have been using the whipped soap pictured for a good few weeks and it’s not even halfway finished.
As well as using as a shampoo it’s great as a shaving cream for my legs and as a bodywash. After getting out of the bath my skin is noticeably smoother and soft to touch. I don’t need to moisturise either which is great

I am a MASSIVE wax addict! My warmers are always brimming with gorgeous scented wax so you can imagine how excited I was to find out about rosegirls! From the US rosegirls is ran by Jenny and her mum Kathy. Originally started by Kathy I think jenny now mainly runs the business alone. I came across this company whilst watching a few *cough* videos on YouTube and their wax is gorgeous! Really pretty chunks and the scents are Devine! I’ve always been a fruity fan but rosegirls bakery scents are scrummy (yeah it’s a word.. ) and I could literally melt their coffee scents all week long..and I don’t even like coffee! Anyway enough gushing..I visited the rosegirls page on Facebook and found out that there was a UK supplier. Her name is Marie and I joined her Facebook page found here and was then added to her business group. She also has a website the gifting corner where spare bags of chunks and brittle are occasionally sold. The way it works in the US is rosegirls open for a short time every few months (5 minutes one month!! How mental is that!) the UK is slightly different and on August 7th 2013 I placed my first order. The TAT for this was around October so around 8 weeks. I ordered X1 20 chunk sampler £35 – 20 individual chunks of randomly scented chunks. X5 bags £10 each Frosty palace Starburst surprise Candy land Sweet lemon confection brittle Paradise brittle Plus 3 of my friends and myself arranged a pie slice club. Buy a pie each and then swap quarters so we would end up with 4 quarter in 4 different scents rather than a whole pie in a single scent. Large pie -taste the rainbow scent £32! I received the first items from my order on 14/12/2013

I did plan on making a blog post about my whole order so didn’t keep a record of which scents I received in this sampler…I didn’t receive my next parcel until yesterday 04/03/2014 so most of these chunks have been melted.I can say I was very happy with most of the scents received and i would definitely purchase more samplers in the future if available. Yesterday I got my 2nd parcel from my August order.

Rosegirls bags.

Paradise brittle bag. ” Freshly squeezed lime with slices of orange, lemon and pineapple” On cold throw this is a really nice tangy fruity scent.

The frost palace chunk bag “Blue raspberry ice chunks with cherry almond overpour” This is like a chilled bake well tart? Really nice and very sweet.

Orange nosegasm chunk bag “Orange revival blended with cutout cookie,with sweet frosting. candied cherries and fruits along with frosting sprinkles and powdered sugar” On cold throw I definitely get orange and a slight bakery note. Can’t wait to melt this one!

This is half my pie

Taste the rainbow “Satsuma chunks, Florida key lime pie chunks, purple cow chunks over poured with chicks dig it” When I ordered I was really excited to try this. I’d read reviews which likened it to a skittle like scent but I’m not a fan! I love sweet lime but the Florida key lime pie isn’t sweet as I expected and the chicks dig it overpour is too tart for me. Good job I only have 2 slices in this scent and not a whole pie! The pie slices are good sizes, each weighing 3/4 oz (8 slices per pie) I still have 1 bag remaining from my August order and I’m hoping this will arrive soon. I love rosegirls and did make a large order in October but since my August order isn’t fully complete 6 months later I decidid to cancel and try to purchase bags as and when they become available. Have you tried rosegirls? Would love to hear your favourite scents

Beautifully packaged my parcel arrived a couple of days later. Very fast dispatch and everything arrived in perfect condition.

I used this the day I got it and was very impressed! The bubblebar itself is very easy to work with. I’ve been a “lushie” for the past few years and if you have ever used one of their bubblebars you’ll know they can be quite solid. This one from moosterbubble was firm but easy to break and very easy to crumble under the tap. The bubbles were plentiful and I still had bubbles when I got out almost an hour later!

I took a quick picture as I started running the water. You can see that the bubbles are already fluffy and they filled the bath. I only used 1/3 of the bar and could probably have gotten away with using less. The scent wasn’t too strong, which I prefer as my bathroom is small and I lock the door whilst having a bath.

Shower fluff in bite me scent £3.50 (150ml)
I am a big fan of bodywashes, whipped soaps etc..so was really excited to give this a try. I love the glitter on the top and the fluff itself is very creamy. I used a little on my shower puff and it foamed up really well and left my skin feeling clean and soft. The scent lingers on your skin after use and again is not too overpowering. Jennifer offers a wide range of scents you can choose for shower fluffs so ill definitely be trying more in different scents.

Sugar rush bath bomb £2.25
I used this the day it arrived and all I can say is wow! I like to be in the bath when I use my bombs so no pictures but you really need to try these!
As a “lushie” I love bath bombs but only really like the creamy ones like twilight or dragons egg..I would go as far as to say I preferred this bomb to any I’ve had from lush! It seemed to fizz slowly for ages leaving the water bright pink and soft. I play with my bombs with my hands and have many times come away with brightly coloured hands after using a lush bomb! My least favourite being bright orange hands from an enchanter bomb!…but despite the water being a vibrant pink my hands remained colour free the packaging for these is lovely, especially the cute ribbon tied around the top of the packaging. They would make great gifts for friends.
Based on the price and experience if I had to choose then moosterbubble bath bombs definitely would get my custom.
Overall very impressed by this company and will definitely be making more purchases in the future.

My parcel arrived yesterday and upon opening the box each item was beautifully wrapped in either green or purple tissue paper. This is such a nice touch and each parcel feels like a mini present

I ordered a full size soap slice, a scented wax melt pack, 3 sample pots of bubbling sugar scrub and a sample size pot of body whip. Also included were x2 free soap samples.

The scent description for this particular soap is ” Chocolatier: Dark artisan chocolate made in an old back street shoppe with tiny leaded windows. The scent of orange-infused pure cacao chocolate with Fig Syrup, Tahitian Vanilla Beans & West Indian Almond.
This smells gorgeous! It’s a really creamy scent which reminds me of Terry’s chocolate orange but much better!
I’m not usually a big soap fan as I have dry skin on my hands and soap usually dries out my skin further but, after using a sample I received in my last order I had to order a full slice! The soap itself creates a thick creamy foam which leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. No dryness is sight

How cute are these little pots!! They are only sample sizes but are a little like the tardis and are bigger on the inside more than enough for a few baths depending on how much you like to use. These are great for trying different scents before deciding to purchase the bigger sizes available.
The bubbling sugar scrub is lovely. It’s not harsh and is very creamy. I’m a big fan of sugar scrubs and future primitive scrubs are luxurious and leave your skin feeling buffed and soft.

Quite the gentleman – New Oak leaves, White Cedar, Geranium leaves, hints of Bergamot & Lime zest & a trickle of cool spring water. The aroma of a distinguished Gent ready for the taking!
This is a very masculine scent and I love it! The description is perfect as it smells like the perfect man. Ill have to buy hubby some bits in this scent before they sell out

Jilted & crushed- A keepsake box of loves lost. Chunks of Copal resin, Indian Attar’s filled with Oudh, Flakes of Amber resin, Black Tonka Beans and offerings of Dragronsblood, finished with a lick of Vetiver.
This is a deep scent with a hint of perfume (to me anyway) very musky and rich. I’d purchase this scent again too.

This is a new addition to the general catalogue (scents available year round) and I was really looking forward to trying this scent. A pudding of maple rice- A slow-baked Rice Pudding, the edges a little burned and bubbling, the skin dusted with nutmeg & a blob of thick cream on the top, served with syrupy prunes
on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Smells exactly as described! Like my grandmas homemade rice pudding, thick and stodgy with hints of nutmeg.
Personally I don’t think ill be re-buying this one simply because I’m not a foody fan and this is pretty foody but I know others will love this

I love future primitive body whip! It’s thick but absorbs into the skin perfectly without leaving you feeling greasy or sticky. This particular scent is AMAZING and my fav FP scent so far.
Ebeneezer: A miserly cold winter breath moans down a chimney breast and into a dark, grey-washed room. The scent of frosted Pine needles & Eucalyptus leaves encased in ice make way for a hopeful splash of clean Lemongrass & fresh Lime.
If Lemsip and Vicks had a baby ebeneezer would be the result! I’m allergic to Vicks on my skin and like many other people have been full of a cold recently. I used the scrub of ebeneezer in the shower and it was like magic! Cleared my head and left me feeling energised. I’m hoping this scent comes back so that I can stock up!

I’m a massive wax addict so when I found out future primitive also sold wax I had to buy some! In the same scent as the soap these smell soooo good!
You get 6 pieces in the packet and I used one yesterday.
I first tried melting these in my scentsy warmer but while they did melt I couldn’t get much of a scent throw. I transferred to my t-light burner and perfection…:D the scents not too overpowering but it filled my bedroom with the very lovely chocolatier scent. I can’t wait to try different scents but ill definitely be buying this one again, One of my favs!

Overall I’m really impressed with future primitive. The products are beautiful and made using good quality natural ingredients. Tiggy is lovely and has always been quick to reply to any questions I may have had. Ill definitely be buying from them again. (may have already placed another little order so keep a look out for another haul soon)

This is a beautiful box and if I’d received this from a friend or family member as a gift, I personally would have been very impressed before I’d even opened it to see what was inside!

Firstly I love the gift bag and really like the way the whole gift is presented. I think this particular gift was priced at £18? (Please correct me if I’m wrong)
And it contained the following.

The boys loved the little Santa shapes and polished these off as soon as they saw them! I’d like to say they were nice but I didn’t get a chance to even see the little chocolates, never mind taste them. They all agreed that it was definitely chocolate and “did I have any more?”

The Christmas mess chocolates were the ones I most wanted to try. And they are lovely!.

Apart from being little pieces of art these tasted gorgeous. The bottom pink layer is sweet and tart followed by the creamy strawberry mousse and meringue sprinkles on top. I’d definitely buy these again as a treat.

The treacle tarts were hubby’s favourite and I have to admit I could have eaten them all myself!

The caramel is lovely and smooth and perfect accompanied by the shortbread biscuit on top.

This wreath is huge! It’s a solid piece of chocolate and has the caramelised almond Florentines throughout rather than just sprinkled on the top.

This was very messy to eat and very rich. I don’t think somebody could eat the whole thing in one sitting (although any one of my boys would have been happy to try!) I don’t think I would re-buy this.

Overall I’m very impressed. I think the price is a little out of my gift allowance for chocolate but I’d be very happy to receive this (hint hint) and would definitely repurchase single items from the bag as gifts.

If you haven’t already guessed from previous posts I’m a little
obsessed with bath and shower products. I’ve always used a shower puff with my shower products and wouldn’t be without this little miracle product! My reason for this post is yesterday my friend popped round to swap Xmas prezzies and in with her lush goodies I gave her a shower puff. She had no idea what it was so I gave her a little demonstration and she was very impressed. Why am I so impressed with this product? Well, I use it with my lush shower jellies and all shower gels and soap. All that’s needed is a little bit of product for a lot of lather and soapy goodness. This means I only use a little bit of product (which is always a bonus!) also I love the fact that it gives your skin a light scrub while you wash. I personally buy the ones which have a little sucker attached and can be stuck to the bathroom tiles to drain after use. So are you a shower puff girl? If you haven’t used one of these before I would highly recommend you give them a try.

While waiting for the product to arrive I visited the Byron bay cookies website found here to have a quick peek at the products available and to see what the company is about. It was interesting to find out that the company offers both original and gluten free cookies which are certified by the vegetarian society, with the gluten free range also approved by coaliac uk.

I’m not sure what I was expecting but the parcel arrived a few days later with 13… Yes 13! Mahoosive cookies.

Each cookie is individually wrapped which is great for both on the go or storing in the cupboard for a sneaky treat with a cuppa.

I received one flavour each of the byron bay range and whilst I had every intention of trying each cookie individually and reviewing each one that idea flew out of the window as soon as the boys saw what was in the box! Needless to say 3 were devoured fairly quickly with a few mumbled “hmm’s” and “is good” the only reviews offered! The dotty was a firm favourite and they managed to wait long enough for me to cut it into 3 good size pieces.

I did eventually get to try one with a quiet cuppa and I have to say I was very impressed. I picked the lemon macadamia nut shortbread and it was lovely! Not too strongly flavoured it was crumbly and melted in my mouth.

Being the generous person I like to think I am the remaining cookies were offered to visiting family and friends and everyone only had good things to say. My dad tried both the white choc chunk and macadamia nut cookies from the original and gluten free range and couldn’t tell them apart.
Overall very impressed and the boys have already started keeping their eyes open for cafes etc which might stock the dotty cookies
