Dr. Bill Crowell, an associate pastor at the Boston Avenue Methodist Church, has partnered with some of Oklahoma's most controversial Islamic leaders. Not too long ago, he moderated a panel in Tulsa on sharia law where some of the participants claimed ignorant Oklahomans were told what to think regarding a constitutional ban on litigating cases in Oklahoma court based on foreign law, including sharia law, which is the law of many Islamic countries. One of the participants was Muneer Awad the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma and is the man who sued the state. The 10th Circuit Court in Denver, Colorado today upheld an injunction against the implementation of Oklahoma SQ 755, a constitutional amendment that instructed judges not to consider foreign laws in making their decisions, it included sharia law, I believe, in that it is the ruling order used in a number of Islamic countries and is the basis for their laws. The amendment passed overwhelmingly in the fall of 2010. The amendment reads, in part: “The courts shall not look to the legal precepts of other nations or cultures. Specifically, the courts shall not consider international law or Sharia law.” I take this to mean laws that govern other countries can't be used in state court decision to settle matters. Sharia law are laws a number of Islamic countries use, the religious aspect of the law is irrelevant. The 2011 holiday card sent out by Muneer Awad, the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma, to state legislators, officials and others thanked them for their continued support to make Oklahoma a great "Home for the Holidays." Wait a minute... What continued support? There's only a couple of legislators on the far left this would fit. People like Ed Shadid, an Oklahoma City councilor and maybe a couple others in the legislature - but that's about it. A federal complaint filed in court in New York City last Thursday, December 15, 2011 seeks the assets of a number of car dealers across the U.S. in order to shut down a massive money laundering scheme the DOJ claims helped fund Hezbollah, a designated terrorist organization. Lowes hates Muslims? That's one of the hastags used on twitter by Islamists and their partners on the left recently. Somewhere along the line mostly conservative Tulsa became hostage to some progressives. For one thing, the local paper's editorial writers are stance liberals which is why I don't subscribe to it. In early 2009, they laid off 28 employees and last year they put in a pay-wall similar to what the liberal New York Times has done which makes their online news a closed-source. I would venture to guess their polarizing ideological views are so contrary to the majority of Tulsans might have, in some small way. contributed. Tulsa is also home to billionaire Obama bundle George Kaiser who is embroiled in the Solyndra controversy. He's one of the richest people in America and reportedly is the richest person in Oklahoma. His family foundation was the largest investor in the failed Solyndra Corporation. According to the Sunlight Foundation, Kasier has hardly paid any taxes; Barack Obama's other billionaire: How George Kaiser turned Oklahoma into his personal tax haven. Butterball, what are you thinking? Today I was stunned to learn Butterball slaughters ALL their turkeys according to Islamic religious law (halal). All of them. This was brought to light by an anti-Islamist blogger, Pamela Geller. who is always criticized and called an anti-Muslim hatemonger by the far-left and Muslims. Remember Islamists and the far-left are often partners. Also, remember not all Muslims are Islamists but that's beside the point. Although Geller's style is, perhaps, too harsh at times for my taste, she is right to bring this to the public's attention. I find a protest, along with a public Muslim prayer scheduled for tomorrow in New York City, a disturbing sign of Islamism. Activist Muslims who argue that proactive efforts by law enforcement to prevent another terrorist attack is repression seriously ought to have their heads examined. It's a tactic that gives all Muslims a bad name because these groups, like CAIR and others, are the ones who make the news. CAIR Oklahoma claims in their "Understanding Sharia" brochure that it, "sharia," has historically been allowed in American courts. If this is true, it's news to me! I'd like to see a listing of the court cases where this happened, wouldn't you? Islam doesn't allow killing of "innocent people" Sheryl Siddiqui wrote in a commentary published in the Oklahoma Gazette on September 20th. Last year in another interview, Siddiqui claimed only God has the right to take life. I wonder if she would enlighten me and other misinformed and ignorant Okies just how The Atlas of Islamic Conquests, sold at Islamic bookstore in the U.S., fits in the context of her claim. I assume these Islamic battles for power involved fighting, which is messy and many people are often killed. Were these conquests islamically sanctioned or were they a stain that reflects badly on Islam's history? This book could be a useful resource about Islam's history of Islamism also referred to as political Islam and its belief in the relentless pursuit to spread Islam and gain power to enforce Islamic supremacy over a region or a country or an empire. Islamism dominated Islamic history. I've seen where lessons on caliphates were taught at Oklahoma mosques so they seem to be proud of this history of Islamic supremacy. There's a report from Beirut Arab news agency El Nashra that Dalia Mogahed, a Muslim who advises the White House on Islamic issues, was behind the cancellation of a meeting between a Chrisitan leader, the Maronite Catholic patriarch of Lebanon Bechara Peter Rai and President Obama done at the request of senior leaders in the Muslim Brotherhood! One caveat, I can't confirm if this is true, If it is, it appears the Muslim Brotherhood is possibly dictating/directing how the Obama administration treats Middle East Christians. It's disturbing. There's an article which described a letter from Maronite Bishop of Brooklyn, Gregory Mansour which criticized Obama for not meeting with the patriarch wrwitten in the Pittsburg Post Gazette on October 18th. Yesterday, Ali Reza Shahsavari, 29, of Indialantic, Fla., was charged with interfering with a flight crew a Southwest Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Kansas City. Initial reports said he tried to get into the cockpit but that was denied by others who said he was unrly and confronted the cabin crew. Mohammad Shahsavari, the man's father, said he did not know what led to the incident. The FBI said early indications were the incident was not terror related. CNN reported on this today but didn't name the man. Earlier this month Saudi passenger, Abdulaziz Mubarak Alshammari, was pulled away from the cockpit door on an American Airlines flight bound for Indianapolis. No charges were filed.

In late August, Pew Research released a report on Muslims in America. It's happily titled Muslim Americans: No Signs of Growth in Alienation or Support for Extremism which gives the impression that all is well. Upon further review, I found, though, there's significantly higher support for Islamic extremism among the black Muslims polled! 40% of native-born black Muslim Americans reported they knew there was a great deal and/or a fair amount of extremist support in their communities compared to 20% of all U.S. Muslims, which is bad enough having 1 in 5 Muslims know of this kind of support in America. On the 17th of August, for the first time in history Oklahoma Muslims prayed on floor of State Capitol at Inaugural Iftar dinner. The event was hosted by Rep.
