A few weeks ago I did some photographic work for Simone Irani Designs. Simone needed some photographs taken of her dresses for her new Facebook Fan page which has yet to be created – I’ll be sure to add a link to this blog once its ready! All I can say is that she has some cute, cute pieces! I now own a few…and am going back for more when I can get there! You can find her at the fairs around town and on occasion she has a stall at Tanglin Mall here in Singapore.

It’s been awhile between an official photo session with Oli Pettigrew, host of Sony Style here in Singapore. Oli had mentioned he needed a couple of new profile shots taken for his next set of business cards and for his new website which is currently under construction. Oli and I had previously workshopped the look and feel of this series of photographs and done appropriate research. Here are the results.

This is the second time I’ve photographed the Alderson Family. The first time was to capture a family portrait, this time to capture their 10 year wedding anniversary! All I can say is…really! you can still fit into your dress Liz??? Wow! Me…I may just have to make a few adjustments to mine! Ooops!

The Alderson’s are about to move to Perth so wanted to have their photos taken at one of their favourite places in Singapore – the East Coast Park. In fact, we did their first family portrait here too! We were extremely lucky on the day – we could see the dark clouds in the horizon – and boy did they ever move fast! If my brain serves me right, I spent the 30 min drive on the way home with my wipers going full speed.

Liz, Craig – have a safe move over to Australia when it happens! Maybe I’ll see you there sooner rather than later…we’re thinking of visiting a couple of good friends who live there!

OK. So who doesn’t know yet that I support the Breast Cancer Foundation? 

A few weeks ago they held a Pink Brunch at The Wine Company @ Evans to raise money for the BCF Foundation here in Singapore and from what I hear they raised over $12,000 over the event. Excellente!

My good friend, Oli Pettigrew, jumped in as MC on the day as Linda Black had to travel that weekend and he found himself in a sea of pink! Check out all the photos!

All I can say is ladies – you surely know how to party!!!

I know! Its been awhile between tips!

Here’s Episode 8. It shows you a little about how I get my clients to relax during a photo shoot. My background as a coach does help. My first port of call is to ask them about their day to come. If they have any fun things planned after the shoot. As the photographer I can usually tell if someone is nervous or if they are good to go from the very beginning of the shoot. Some clients will even tell me they are nervous. My main objective is to keep things relaxed on the day so that my client can enjoy the photo shoot. Hope you like this tip!

A couple of weekends ago I did some photography for an English Comedy Musical Play called The Kundanmal Brothers which played at the DBS Art Centre. The show was written by Aruna Harjani of Marygops Studios- to raise money for The Cancer Society.
