Our fortress of the week is built into rocks on an island off the coast of Washington state. It’s one of the more beautiful and airy fortresses we’ve seen. The biggest thing at Comic Con this year was The Walking Dead Escape at Petco Park, where you can experience a full on Zombie Apocalypse first hand. Volunteers were put into full Zombie makeup and wardrobe by the effects artist from the AMC hit. In waves survivors were sent through the obstacle course that demands endurance and intelligence.

Our crew of Kit, Sax, Dave, Matt, Chrissy, and Zach all went through with full camera gear to capture the craziness and awesomeness we hope to see in more cities in the time to come.

This years San Diego Walk did not disappoint. Probably one of the largest turn out we have seen thus far. The Zurvived team came as biological inspectors and weeding out the infected. We ventured into the fray and were able to deliver this first hand account of the zombie epidemic. Plus there was some participants not able to handle the situation, stay tuned at the end of the video to see that.

Zombies are the good guys?

Last week, members of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church showed up at a Seattle-area military base Lewis-McChord to protest the US government’s increase in gay rights. And so, naturally, the zombies came to the rescue…300 of them.

“We wanted to turn something negative around, into something people could laugh at and poke fun at,” Neace told the paper. “It was the easiest way to divert attention from something so hateful.”

“I think that their message is very hateful, and Jesus was not a hateful person. He loved everybody,” said counter-protestor and zombie Ashley Winslow.

And Jesus was a zombie too, right?

You may recall the Westboro Baptist Church and their fearful leader Fred Phelps for their tasteful displays of brotherhood in which they protest the funerals of US soldiers killed in action or the victims of hate crimes. Most recently, they announced plans to picket the funerals of the Aurora shooting victims as well as that of Sylvester Stallone’s son, Sage – - – all deaths, that the group claims, are signs of God’s abhorrence for the increasing acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle.

This vehicle is the largest land moving structure we have reviewed. It is amazing in size, strength, and for its size speed. Now we know not the average person can just hop in here and start driving, but if you could this could serve as your vehicle and because of the payload capabilities, it could be your moving fortress. Lets just hope you can find enough diesel fuel.
