Hi Guys,

today I'm showcasing my camera equipment. This is inspired by; http://bonb0n-pdf.blogspot.com/2011/01/whats-in-my-purse.html "What is in my purse"

So, let's get started;

First of all I'm using a Nikon Camera Bag. It's big and got a nice capacity. This allows you to store at least 1 camera and 2 lenses. Most of the time I'm wearing it on my bag. It's very comfortable.

Next on; I'm using a Nikon D60 - camera.

This is my only lens; Nikkor ASF 18-105 mm. I think about buying a telephoto lens for fashion photography :)

Always with me; some tissues for worst case scenarios xD

For softening shadows and daylight photography; my sunscreen.

Next on a really really small bag stuffed with a microfiber cloth. This is essential for every photograph removing really fine dust from your camera lens. It's very comfortable as you can easily put it on your jeans or somewhere else!

Always with me; a second battery. When shooting through the day this is one essential tool you'll never miss!

Several protection cases for my memory card and lenses.

At a glance. I'm even carrying a lens bag with me :D Just in case! xD

When preparing for a shooting you should really think of what you need and what not. If you're going out in the woods or somewhere else essential tools will always be; a second battery and probably a sunscreen. And of course a micofiber cloth. Carefully think about what you will really need!

Conceptual Photography

Hi Guys :)

today I want to show you a conceptual photography of me and a little tutorial about doing conceptual things.
I personally love working with colors when doing conceptual photography. In autumn last year I went outside to get some autumnally shots. Unfortunately there were no colored trees yet but the weather was so great forcing me to do something creative :D

So this red maple leaf really caught my attention and I picked it up. At first I just wanted to freeze its shapes and looked for a nice background. Then I realised that it might be intresting to add a strong contrast by holding it up in the sky. In my opinion he shape of the clouds really gives this picture some movement.

How do I know what good color contrasts are?

In my opinion this color circle is the best method to figure out good color contrasts. Adding to my picture you can see that "blue" and "red" are counterparts. As well as "blue"/"red" and "yellow" or "green" and "orange" and so on :)

Frankfurt Book Fair 2010

Hi Guys,

so in October I have been to Book Fair Frankfurt. I'm reguarly going to conventions and I'm going to provide you with impressions in the form of portraits of amazing cosplayers on the ground :)
This time the weather was simply amazing. Sunshine all over the place :D

In my opinion those cosplays were the most amazing cosplays of the day. Unfortunenately I hadn't the time to ask them for an individual shooting. Therefore I just took a photo from where we've been that's why you can see all the people in the back.

Tip; If you want to set your model apart from the background you can switch your camera setting to "Av" and make the aperture as wide as possible :)
