How did you get your name? Actually the way I got my name is because my rap name use to be Flawless Victory but I just shorten it to Victory

How'd you describe you musical style? / What sets u apart from the artist out there? I would describe my musical style as fun and energetic and what sets me apart is that I won't rap about what typical rappers rap about because I'm not a trap type of rapper so it forces me to be creative

I a lot of your music can be comical and jaw dropping... Do you think most lyrical artist sell out from their original genre and fall to mainstream artist? I don't think most lyrical artist sell out to maintain stream but I do think that they try to go with the times because you don't have to change what you want to say you just have to update how you say it and most artist don't realize that

What else do you do? I also make clothes and I edit videos also

I love your designs and I watched the amazing growth... How did You get into fashion / what sparked your interest? I originally got the idea by making a shirt to promote myself as a artist and people liked the design and started requesting it then that's when we really started getting into the clothing aspect

Is there anything you'll like for the listeners to know? I would like my listeners to know that I'm working there's a lot of good music coming with some great visuals so stay tuned

Easter Recap & How To: Marbled Easter Nails

On this Octave of Easter I will like to back track to show some Easter Activities. And if you guys aren't tired, I know Easter was yesterday but I'm pretty sure you guys are still dolled up with tons of left overs. I spent most of Easter Weekend, from Friday night, with my family in Maryland. Saturday went as followed: family talks, breakfast, doing each others hair, shopping, making Easter things, bbq, games, bbq, chilling, and my departure. It was awesome for the most part, especially helping create the Easter Eggs and Easter Baskets. (Duh the Barbecue was the best but it's not a food blog, lol.)

My aunt, owner of Kreative Kisses, brung all the ladies together in efforts to make Easter Awesome for the little ones. Easter eggs are usually a tradition in my family, making them and hunting plastic ones with money or candy. But we were also able to help with her usually $25 basket creation. The kids really loved it! Here are some images:

As a female who loves makeup and all things beauty, of course my face was beat to the gawds fir this occasion and I had pink Easter nails with sparkles on Saturday . Just when you though that young talent was hard to find, you stumble upon two Brooklyn females, Charisse J. & Gabrielle, with a great hand craft and strong will. This duo is the founders of Koki’o Brooklyn (a spin off of Tokyo, Japan) and is currently making hand crafted accessories.

Once I saw the merchandise I knew it had to be shared. Via phone I asked if they would like to sell online, this idea baffled them. They were used to selling local where they can meet and great their customers. They’d first rather keep sales personal, just like the one of a kind items made. But now you can see some of the sets HERE.

Who are you and what are you looking to do in today’s creative industry?
Our name brand is Koki'o Brooklyn, pronounced similar to Tokyo but with a K. Koki'o is a Hawaiian Flower amongst the top ten rarest flowers in the world. Our goal is simple; we really want to promote rarity and creativity from Brooklyn to Brooklyn - and beyond! By using quality, no-rust materials such as imported beads, sterling silver and gold at affordable, no higher than 25$ merchandise.

What projects are you, specifically, working on? Jewelry. Right now it is our first line of business but as our
clientele expands so will our inventory.

Why are you interested in the beauty industry?
As females, naturally we were respondent to anything beauty related - from nail polish to phone cases and everything in between.

Tell me some brief information about your company:
Naturally we are creative individuals but we, actually, got our start when my Co-Partners Mom decided to dabble in accessory making. If it wasn't for her we might not be here today, because it was her materials we used in the beginning. Another cool fun fact is that all of our accessories are one of a kind. We literally free hand them and don't reproduce the exact same pattern twice. You will definitely see the same color schemes but everything you buy from us will be something that is your own.

What was life like for you and what you are looking to achieve?
As two female Brooklyn natives, sometimes variety was scarce and limited to Rainbows, Pretty Girls, and Beauty Supply Store accessories. But, the thing is no matter how hard you try the chains end up breaking, the rings end up rusting and the earrings are always itchy. Not only are we tired of the low quality material but we also want to shake up the idea of accessorizing by bringing in unique designs to help polish the look of your outfits - from everyday to going out.

What can people look out for from you in the future?
Everything - literally! We really don't to limit where this business may go. As long as it's of good quality we're ready and willing to sponsor as much unique merchandise as we can. In the near future one thing you can definitely look out for is iPhone and iPod cases, male & youth accessories.

Why do you think you have what it takes to leave your mark in this industry?
Quoting back to the Philosopher Ayn Rand 'The question isn't who is going to let me ; it's who is going to stop me!' Sometimes being born in Brooklyn can birth an aggressive, cannot take no for an answer, 'hustler' spirit to some and we are definitely part of that crew. We are so confident it may be misinterpreted as cocky but it's NOT! Our thing is the opposite - we feel we are the average beauty-crazed females. Every female in the world wants to look nice from head to toe. Every female wants custom one of a kind accessories to polish off there outfits. And, every female wants to catch a deal. We've combined these basic wants and we make things we would love to buy so we know the next female would want to as well.

Quercetin & Oak Anti-aging Eye Primer by Korres REVIEW, Thanks BeautyStat

When I opened my package a few weeks ago from BeautyStat, I was ecstatic. What a wonderful gift that was bestowed upon me, an all natural cosmetic by the notorious Korres, a brand I had learned about from frequent sephora visits. I had received the Quercetin & Oak Anti-aging Eye Primer.

The Great, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly:

I tried the primer for two weeks and I wore it about every night & day. For the product's trial size of .06 Fl. OZ (2mL), I believed it was a great amount. I say It should last anyone else about 2+ weeks. DO NOT keep eye products for too long to avoid infection & etc.

Because of its applicator, it is fairly easy to apply. I experienced problems with application due the following: no enough of the product was on the applicator to swipe once. I had to keep dipping to apply to the lids (upper and lower).

Once on, it felt great. I love the smooth texture. It was not watery or to thick. After the spread, I either applied my eye shadow &/or liner after OR rubbed it in (I couldn't leave it as is for it was lighter than my skin) for solely the anti-aging purposes.

Results:

With Eye Shadow When applying eyeshadow, the colors just glide right on, due to Korres' Quercetin & Oak Anti-aging Eye Primer. The primer made my shadow colors a little more vibrant, not to extreme tho. It, also, held my loose shadows greatly in place. Sometimes my shadow would last a full days worth and sometimes the shadows got a little faint. Problems could be due to body temperature, the temperature around me, or the eyeshadow that was used on a specific day.

Solely Primer While wearing the primer, it was as if it was just regular creme or lotion, and i treated it as such. I went through out my day without re-applying, until the next time my face was washed (thats if i didn't forget at night). At first I didn't see a difference, within the two weeks it was only a small change in complexion underneath my eyes, but it worked. Pictures don't tell lies.

Sorry about the lighting, it was in too diferent room and two different times. but you can see the skin complexion underneath the eyes from before is different and after underneath is of the same complexion.
No foundation was added in any pic.
There was no type of photo manipulation, as well.

IN CONCLUSION

I would recommend this to all my readers, readers of readers, and see-ers of readers!!! LOL

I will also purchase this in the near future.

Now and through fall we will see many boots, booties/wedges, and platforms. This shoes would either have a chunky heel, some animal-like fabric, or be for multi-conditions (an example, is a nike shoe boot with a heel).

Here we see a thick, platform, open-toe heel. The color will help brighten up your wardrobe.

I love this boot wedge. Very smooth and well put together. It seems to go with everything, especially some skinny jeans.

This fall we are going to be seeing many styles of clothing. Jacket styles are no exception.

Originating in South America, the poncho, or shawl, made its way in the US, of course with some personal touches and alterations. And, yes we seen many of them this summer, like this featured Forever 21 shirt. I too enjoyed wearing them, as did Indiyah who wore a wonderful different poncho shirt almost every day.

I really like H&m 's loose, right red, jacket (another color is available). Its a little on the medium-long side and it'll be great for this cooler weather. Plus, this lovely bright color brings a smile to my face, as I know it would to anyone else.

while in the 5th avenue banana republic store i noticed a trench like, a little lower than waist length, button-up, poncho. i was beautiful. i especially loved the neck assembly, where it was two buttons that can, or not, be assembled by matching fabric.

Victoria's Secret
Vicky is calling their spin on the poncho a cape. They have it in a few colors. I love the animal print inside. This jacket seems pretty fun. Maybe they call it a cape, because you can easily throw it over your should like one, considering there isn't any sleeve holes.

The Kors collection have many ponchos to choose from. The one I believed to be interesting is the turtle neck poncho. Many people laugh when they see people in turtle necks, but I've always liked them. Why not? I think the Kors poncho seem really elegant and it can be used as a dress or sweater. Beauty: quotes and analysis (WHat is BEauty)

Here are some saying many of us are used to hearing:

"beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

"beauty is pain"

"beauty is skin deep"

"beauty comes in all shapes and sizes"

In my opinion, beauty IS in the eye and mind of the beholder. One sees beauty based on their beliefs and thought process. For example, many blame the media for creating a biased mindset within people. For years they have shown people with tiny long bodies, fair skin, and portrayed beauty to only be what the eye can see. In return those getting sucked in these images began to develop self-hate, thinking they weren't "beautiful" enough; people became materialistic, believing that people would only think highly of you if you dressed and looked a certain way; and many developed the wrong idea towards the concept of beauty.

But it is the person who need to believe that everything is beauty, whether or not others believe so. A person must remain confident no matter what and ignore stairs, remarks, and rejections if/when others see something out of the ordinary. Many others only respond negative to change. This is mostly because they are intimidated because they aren't as comfortable as you are in your own skin OR they just have other personal issues and wish to bring others into their misery.

Going back to the other quotes.

"Beauty is pain," but it doesn't need to be. The pain comes from hiding you natural qualities and trying to fit into other images of you. Even if you like to switch up your hair, dress up your face, or style your body, you shouldn't have to endure pain to achieve your goals. You can get your hair done in several painless ways. Forget the chemicals and damaging actions of some hair stylist, try a wig or wet your hair into a style. Do not get facial surgery, but instead try natural makeup to highlight and contour your face to make the features you would like to have. (BODY->) Skip the strenuous gym visits, body surgery, and trying to fit in to tight clothing. Try eating healthy, excersing regularly, and wearing clothing that best fit your body type. But in any event, try the natural untouched you.

"Beauty is skin deep," in your mind and everywhere. Try analyzing and loving yourself. Then and only then, will others be able to love you. Love as a child would, as Jesus would say. A child will love endlessly. A child seeks and doesn't discriminate. A child has an open mind and isn't self-hating.

"Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes." Beauty is found in every and anyone. Beauty is also in nature. People of the arts will know this best. As a painter would paint any scenery, either in their mind or of the world, and find true beauty that the painter can keep forever.

I know all the beauty junkies was amazed when they first heard about the new crack nail polish because I was.

When I first saw the polish in the stores I was reluctant to get it. After searching for pictures and viewing the outcome, I decided I might as well try it out.

A week or so ago asked my cousin to purchase it in purple for me and this is what i got out of it:

If you notice some nails look okay and others look horrible. This was my first time trying it and I believe I got a cheap brand.
I tried many designs on one hand and on the other i picked the design i liked the most. While applying I used the nail polish differently on some fingers. For example, I used one coat lightly with the base colors, i doubled coated the base colors, i quickly applied the cracked nail polish, or i coated the purple cracked nail polish many times.

The nail polish didn't chip until 2 days after, which was a plus. How ever, i didn't like how the cracked nail polish showed over the dark navy blue color. It seemed to show well on the white & light turquoise blue, only after coating the base polish more than once.

I will try this type of nail polish and application again, but I wont use or recommend this brand unless you are on a budget. It was bought for $1.99. I will also try it with solely one base color.

I hope everyone is enjoying the SALES: summer sales, independence day sales, just because sale, and the we-are-about-to-get-a-SH*T-load-of-new-inventory-so-we-have-to-have-a-sale sales!

I have been trying to enjoy the sales but I seem to be wasting all my money, mostly on cosmetics and food. I did however by some clothing from a few factory stores (my way of thinking I'm saving pesos).

But to all of you folk that are shopping and should be shopping, get the items while they are on sale.

I know you want to wait until black friday or some other holiday, but, clothing wise, now is when you buy the summer and spring clothing, and last winter's inventory! Shop only for sale items until that special friday in November.

If you want to shop all year round start hitting up the outlets and factory stores. Now that I have to support my aspiring businesses I have to keep track of my money while having a shopping habit, therefore I shop for SALES!!

Todays Beauty Emergency

How upset was I that I emptied out my purse to lighten the load before i headed to work. I like that i didn't have much to carry but was shocked when i started to get chapped lips and noticed i forgot to replace my lipgloss or chap-stick.

I decided to take an early break after an hour and a half of licking thy lips and mirror checks. at 11 on the dot i rushed to sephora to purchase a purple glossy lip gloss for $10 dollars. The price didn't bother me at the time but i wish it was less, considering the fact that i predict myself losing, yet, another sephora lipgloss and having the same emergency.

However, I was grateful that the gloss lasted for the rest of my shift. This led me to wonder why I paid for the gloss at all. I should have used a sample gloss and applied it. Silly me.

Lesson: never forget your gloss & in an emergency go to sephora and use a sample!!

Just as a mother needs to carry wipes or tissue in her purse for an inevitable emergency, or 911 moment, us fashionistas need to keep certain products handy.

Lets explore the mishaps and products you should carry in order to mend them.

While on your daily walk it starts to rain. Usually your wide bottom pants is just the right height but because of the rain, it drags under her heels and consequently begins to tear. What to do?

One should carry products like Hem Gems to fashionably pin up your pants.
For the dry situations keep some masking tape handy to tape up jeans or other bottoms that may need to be quickly hemmed.

Your favorite designer jeams happen to be extremely low riders that constantly show your crack? Try...

lowering a spandex strapless bra or shirt, or Jaks (shown) by Miss Oops.
use a sweater or scarf and wrap it around waist, but keep it cute! ;)
