Managing AnyFileBackup Tasks Locally and Remotely

Starting with version 5.18, AnyFileBackup can be managed both locally and remotely over a network connection.

During installation, AnyFileBackup offers three configuration options:

Server – users can manage AnyFileBackup both locally (on the same computer) and remotely (from a computer connected to the same local network, via Internet etc). The remote connection is established directly (that is between two AnyFileBackups).

Local – users can manage AnyFileBackup only on the computer where AnyFileBackup is installed.

Client – users can manage AnyFileBackup on remote computers that have AnyFileBackup installed and configured as a Server.

To enable remote management, ensure that a proper firewall rule is created on the computer where AnyFileBackup is installed. Refer to the AnyFileBackup Help documentation for detailed instructions.
