One of the Sosial Network that I join is Tagged. I like to play Pets and Yoville with it and for sure, to make new friends online and create network.

Lately, most of the time, It's hard for us to send message or comment to our friends in Tagged. I guess Tagged having a problem. Usually, the error would show;

But, the message that I try to send is only, "How are you?" . Is that consider Bad Content? I don't think so.

I am not the only one having this kind of problem. I have received lots of complains from my friend regarding to this issue.

At last, I bought celcom prepaid broadband for my online needs. My job hates me to stay at home. Gonna miss my streamyx... :) well, everything with me now should be portable includes my toiletries.

Back On Track

It has been a while. The last article I have post is on 15/12/2008. It's about 6 month ago. Actually, I was taking 6 month petroleum technology course in Terrengganu and will be going for on job training for another 6 month. While I was in Terengganu, I have very less time to get online because of the very pack schedule to complete the course. The only thing that I can do if I have time to get online is updating my facebook. I have completed the petroleum technology course and now I wish to continue writing for my blog and perhaps, I'll write frequently.

What had happen to this blog after 6 month I leave without any single word from me?

-Pagerank has increase from zero to 2. The effect of this increases is the visitors to this site which come from the search engine is increase.

-Feeds Subscriber maintain around 50 something.

-Twitter follower increase up to 290.

-Fan on the facebook fan page increase to 23 people.

-And one thing for sure, people waiting for me to update my blog and that can be the bad things to happen when it takes to long to update your blog.

Well, I hope this would be the last holiday for this blog. People still visit my blog even I didn't update my blog for so long. It means that the visitors need something from this blog, from what I write and from what I have shared. It had given me motivation to continue writing and I tell you, I really feel good when people read my writing. It is very Addictive.

I consider myself as a newbie in this Blogosphere. I still need to learn lots of things to become a success blogger. I read blogs a lot. Everyday I do blog walking. The most kind of blog I read is Internet marketing blog, personal blog, technology and blogging tips blog.

I have come across to this one blogging tips blog called Blog for Beginners, by Yan Susanto an Indonesia Blogger.

Once I reach this blog, my first impression is, "uhh.. cool blog! This blog have something what I need."

I never heard Yan Susanto name before but after I read few article on his blog. I am myself consider him as a great blogger. He knows what he talking about.

I like to read his writing. very informative and helpful especially for new blogger like me. This blog would be one of my reference in blogging.

Personally, I will say, he is a good blogger and why am I saying this? Because he will reply your comment to his post and always ready to help you. He even will visit your blog and leave comment to your blog.

10 Methods to Increase Pagerank

It have been about 2 days without new article from me. I have spent my weekend at Permai Rainforest Resort. I was staying at the jungle cabin house without any internet facility and 3G coverage. I was having so much fun as we had so many activity.

Well, on this post I would like to talk about Page Rank. For those who may not know, Pagerank is a number assigned by Google according to their secret algorithm that is believed to be highly relevant to how high a page is placed in the search results. Google, Yahoo and all search engines regularly update their search page rankings. When they update these rankings, they look at certain key components of each available page.

Few weeks ago, I joined a forum whose members are webmasters. While reading their advices and useful articles regarding increasing popularity of blogs, I gained much information and experience. I read all about Pagerank, SEO and traffic building. This is the top ten methods that webmasters use to get traffic and increasing the pr value of their pages.

1. Regularly Updated your website by adding more unique content.

2. Make your content title good enough and more attractive.

3. Be careful with your grammar. Grammar is the most important element of an article with the content itself together. A good grammar enables reading process. Using catchy words and avoiding complex and long sentences make the article clear and explicit.

4. Use lots of meta keyword tags. Make sure you don't repeat the same word more than 3 times in a row. Google only indexes the first 101K of the document.

5. Rss feeds are the best way of being indexed by search engines and getting backlinks. Add your rss feed link into popular rss services. My favourite one is Linkriver and Feedfury.

6. Provide inside linking to your website. For example you can provide a link of your previous and next articles on an article page. Or you can provide a list of related articles so visitor can remains a long time on your website.

7. Add the url of your link into signature part of forums. Join the forums and groups with the similar content.

8. Exchange your link with other web owners. Put their link on your website and they will put your link in them. This is for free and the very fast way to improve your visibility in search engines.

9. Make sure you include at least one link to Google. They need quality traffic as well. Don't be greedy and hog it all to yourself. This can do wonders for your pages. Remember - Google may be going public soon - so the more traffic you send them the better.

10. Write articles and submit them to directories for publication distribution.

Eid Al-Adha Greetings

All Muslim around the world will celebrating Eid Al-Adha tomorrow. I am here would like to wish all my Muslim friends and my Muslim blog readers happy Eid Al-Adha or wishing in Malay "Selamat menyambut Hari Raya Korban".

Eid Al-Adha is celebrated at the end of the Hajj, the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca. A duty of each Muslim, as described in the Five Pillars of Islam, is to go on Hajj at least once once during their lifetime, unless they are prevented by finances or ill health. During the celebration of Eid al-Adha, Muslims commemorate and remember Prophet Ibrahim(a.s)'s trials, by themselves slaughtering an animal such as a sheep, camel, or goat.

The meat from the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha is mostly given away to others. One-third is eaten by immediate family and relatives, one-third is given away to friends, and one-third is donated to the poor. The act symbolizes our willingness to give up things that are of benefit to us or close to our hearts, in order to follow Allah's commands. It also symbolizes our willingness to give up some of our own bounties, in order to strengthen ties of friendship and help those who are in need. We recognize that all blessings come from Allah, and we should open our hearts and share with others.

On the first morning of Eid al-Adha, Muslims around the world attend morning prayers at their local mosques. Prayers are followed by visits with family and friends, and the exchange of greetings and gifts. At some point, members of the family will visit a local farm or otherwise will make arrangements for the slaughter of an animal. The meat is distributed during the days of the holiday or shortly thereafter.

Traffic Building Project

Today is the first day of December. My blog, AbangHajib.com is now 3 months old. I can say I blog is just for fun, you can see from my blog archive showing that I was not consistent posting article to this blog. I have less time to post new article to my blog but have a lot of time to read other blogs.

I have followed and inspire numbers of bloggers like JohnChow, Darren Rowse, Kenny Sia, Yaro Starak, Gobala Krishnan, Liew CF etc as you can see some of them in my blogroll. I have read lot of thing from their blogs but my concentration is now on how to make money from blogging. I'm sure all of you already know on how to monetize your blog. Its AdSense, advertisements, affiliate and review kind of thing. But, all of it will generate you nothing if your blog not getting a good traffic. As for me myself, I just generate a bit from AdSense and still zero from affiliate program.

Well, what I want to concentrate here is on how to generate traffic to my blog. Many professional blogger absolutely will write on their blog or their ebook about on how they generate traffic to their blog. I have read so much about that but I still keep reading and reading without practice what they have said.

Now, starting from today until the end of December, I will try to practice some of the tips on how to generate traffic to my blog. As for your information, at the moment, my blog get around 80 to 150 visitors a day, we will see what happen on 31 December 2008, how many visitors will I get on that day after I practicing all tips during the whole month.

Google Personal Indetification Number

After for about 3 weeks waiting, finally today I just received my Google AdSense Identification Number(PIN)through Airmail service. This PIN is important for Google AdSense to release payment to Google AdSense publisher.

As before in the past, AdSense would ask you to verify your information when you accumulated $50 in earnings by sending you a mail with your Personal Identification Number (PIN). This allows AdSense to conduct a simple verification that is required in order to ensure the security and accuracy of your information so you can receive payments from AdSense. However, AdSense now has lowered the minimum accumulated earnings to $10. In another words, now it is possible for publishers to receive their PIN earlier instead of waiting for their earnings to reach $50.

Once you have been mailed a PIN number, you will have 180 days to enter your PIN within your publisher account, or to request a replacement. If you do not enter your PIN within this period, your account will be disabled and your earnings refunded to the appropriate advertisers.

I made my first $10 with Google AdSense after 3 weeks I started with abanghajib.com. It is not a big amount but I still satisfy that I can earn something from this blog. Perhaps, all I need to do now is some aggressive Internet marketing, update this blog regularly and get more visitors. Now, I am waiting for my first check from Google.
