Remember my first hands on Nikon FM2n, together with the 24 exposures film? Ok, here is the product out, straight from raw (scanned) without any retouching, except for cropping and resizing purposes.

This is what we called as ‘real-lomo’. Haha.

It seems that KTM has taken a step to revise this issue. As a result, they are now using a different logo/icon/symbol. Personally, the new symbol represents the motive better and clearer. Here it is:

Smart Cover, which is one of the accessory product by Apple for its iPad 2 has a very unique way of functioning. Unlike others, Apple decided to design a ‘cover’ instead of ‘casing’ for its iPad 2. The price is not that cheap, however it is very useful and neat.

Then, a contender (Anymode) release their own product, called the ‘Smart Case’. The different: attached to a plastic case. So, they will say that it is not a Smart Cover kirf, instead as an innovation (read more here). I would not claim that they violated Apple design, however we can see with our own eyes, the design of the cover is a ‘Smart Cover’ attached to a plastic case.

We know that Smart Cover can be folded to function as a stand and more. Smart Case (by Anymode) also functioning the same way. However, instead of magnet, it utilise the case it has been attached to as the mechanism to remain still at the tablet.

Now, has been design 98% look-alike its competitor, Anymode and Samsung can mislead other to buy the product: the Samsung tablet, as advertised, instead of iPad 2. Therefore, is this the new game of current technology companies? Are they so desperate in cashing up their pocket, that they would do anything including limiting their innovation wide and fresh, and copy their competitor just because they seems to be doing good business and product?

If this keep on going, I bet in the coming years, all tv, phones or tablet will have the same shape, size, and form, but with different brands’ mark.

Why do I choose iPhone 4S over Android or Windows Phone device?

It is simple: I pick anything that works out of the box.

Plus, with the common UI and UX, seamless integration with Mac OSX, 3.5″ touch screen, decent camera 8.0 Mp, superior video recording with stabilization, and most important is the App Store.

With the predicted price of the iPhone by Malaysian telco starting at RM1500, I would grab this phone as soon as possible. Celcom announced that the official launch date for iPhone 4S in Malaysia is on December 16, 2011.

Pray that I have enough money to own and upgrade to the latest iPhone, from my passed-down iPhone 2G which stuck at iPhone OS 3.1.3.

Fuh. Fuh. Fuh.

As what you expected, I dig around, trying to setup the password for my root access. I found it somewhere. Unfortunately, there were about 3 users with the same username: root. Then, I changed the password. Guess what,

I BRICKED MY ROOT ACCESS.

After watching how Crynobone doing the setup for my Zend Server CE, I took interest with the power or Terminal (Mac/Linux). I started to dig and Google around to read how to use the mysql with Terminal, where to access the Zend’s MySQL database and functions. After a lot of try-and-error, I managed to display this information within my Terminal:

As you can see, I have 3 types of host using the same user: root and all of them have the same password. I guessed that this might be the reason why the system can’t create my access cookies/session. Having minimal knowledge on MySQL code and functions, I reseted all user: root with no password. Or you can call it the original status of the table.

AND I’M BACK INTO THE GAME. I RECLAIM MY ACCESS.

Haha. So, that is my story for today. As a noob in the web development world, I faced a lot try-and-error and a lot of experimentation in order to learn something and today I’ve learn something powerful: using mysql from Terminal.

I rest my case.

Again, the world first class pain is back: toothache. And it came back so sudden, yesterday evening. The affected tooth was only one molar, which seems to experienced cavity.

Root Canal (RC):
A root canal is the space within the root of a tooth. It is part of a naturally occurring space within a tooth that consists of the pulp chamber (within the coronal part of the tooth), the main canal(s), and more intricate anatomical branches that may connect the root canals to each other or to the surface of the root. Even though, it looks like a simple toothache, root canal is the world first pain because it happened deep inside your tooth, affecting your nerves. The pain will include normal toothache, additional toothache at nearby teeth, a pain in/around your ear, your eyes, your neck, simply said all the nerves around your head.

One throbbing from the toothache simultaneously affect the other areas in your head.

Therefore, I’ve been awake since yesterday, trying to content the pains. Luckily, I managed to set an appointment on this Sunday for my RCT (root canal treatment) at one private clinic in Section 8, Shah Alam.

Endodontic therapy:
Endodontic therapy is a sequence of treatment for the pulp of a tooth which results in the elimination of infection and protection of the decontaminated tooth from future microbial invasion. This set of procedures is commonly referred to as a “root canal.” Root canals and their associated pulp chamber are the physical hollows within a tooth that are naturally inhabited by nerve tissue, blood vessels and other cellular entities. Endodontic therapy involves the removal of these structures, the subsequent cleaning, shaping, and decontamination of the hollows with tiny files and irrigating solutions, and the obturation (filling) of the decontaminated canals with an inert filling such as gutta percha and typically a eugenol-based cement.
After endodontic surgery the tooth will be “dead,” and if an infection is spread at apex, root end surgery is required. Wiki.

My first introductory and experience handling manual SLR: Nikon FM2n.

Loaded into this beautiful machine is the Fujicolor Superia 200 (24 frames). This is my new learning curve within this photography industry. According to seniors, if I manage to handle this beast successfully, I will be able to use all kind of SLR/DSLR available in the market.

Lomo camera? Neh. Full manual, and with respect to the configuration, I shall accidentally produced lomo-style photos. Haha.

It’s not that I put Steve Jobs as my idol. However, knowing that this person was a person who lived in a life with ideas and creative solutions, I’m curious to know his thinking mechanism.

Personally, I respected Steve Jobs the way  I respected Tun Dr Mahathir.

These two people, who I lived during their era, are two great minds. I pray that I can see more people (or me myself) as astonishing like them.
