Problems updating shops

I'm having all kinds of problems trying to update shops and replace inactive products. First try I replaced 16 products from a single merchant in one shop and then found them still all showing as inactive. Tried 10 products in another shop from a single merchant. Popshops still shows 10 inactive products but none have the "inactive" icon so I'm unsure about that one. None of the inactive numbers are changing so it's impossible to tell what you've worked on and what you haven't. 1 step...

Later he comes to my website and clicks my affiliate link and goes to the same merchant's website and buys a product. Who gets the commission? Previously I was able to open 4WWebMerge by double-clicking on a settings file. Now when I try that, with v 2.5.2, I get an error message saying the program can't open the settings file "file://localhost/Users/path_to_settings_file". If I start 4WWebMerge first and open the file from there it opens without trouble. Is there any way to correct the path?
