Today I am going to provide you with a simple software which acts as a meter i.e. consumption meter of your internet connection. This "ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter" really helps the people who has limited Internet usage plan. The software runs in the tray on the operating system. Even you can change the transparency of the meter.
By using this software you can we exclude some bandwidth for certain period of time of the day. It also contains the option to Enable/Disable the Images and Flash in Internet Explorer which can help to constrict bandwidth usage. The Software is Freeware and you don't need to spend even a penny for it.

This Software displays the data consumption of three Parts:
---> Now
---> Today
---> This Month

It also shows the monthly usage in separate table as shown the image below.

You can also shift between Kb or Mb at the Tray and Mb or Gb at the monthly details Table. It is really super cool software to keep a track on data usage . Since there is no Help file but I dont feel that you really need it in such a simple and easy to use software.

Now a days each and every website displays various ads on their website. Some shows countable ads (like Abhi Software Tips [Specifically 3 only ] ) and some site shows numbers of ads. Some times reader get annoyed because of this ads and they feel uncomfortable to read the article. So here is the superb Extension and add-ons for Chrome and Fire-Fox respectively.

Not just blocking ads on the website it also blocks the ads which are being displayed in the start when you play any YouTube Video. Below are the two different Snap shots which i have Captured to show all the visitors how this Extension blocks the ads.

Google Chrome , that's what the 41.7% of world is using for the web Browsing and various activity. It had overtaken the Massive Mozilla Firefox in March 2012. It has been completed the four years of launching Chrome and now it have the majority of the web users using it. The above Statistics is according to w3schools.com
Now I am going to explain you some of the cool features that can be only made possible using the Google Chrome and the Google Search. But to Get the following feature You must need to Sign in the Google Chorme.

● Get the recently searched keyword in the suggestion box
The browser save all the keyword which you have searched in the history and displays the keywords when you search anything similar to it with the other suggestions. It also shows the option to remove if you want to remove that past search from the suggestion list. The example is also given in the below image (Click on it to see enlarge image).
● Shows the history about that website
This is the one of the best feature, which I personally really like it. This feature shows us that how many times we visited that link or that website and not just this much it also shows when the last time you visited that website. This helps the user that link is useful or not and also states whether I have visited it and can save his time rather than visiting the same site again. The example is also given in the below image (Click on it to see enlarge image).
● Shows the preview of website without clicking on the link
When you search for any keyword in search box the best result comes out in that page.But who would you know that this is the only thing which you need. So the Google search offers you to watch the preview of website and check that is it the content which you needs. You can simply get the preview by clicking on the arrow button when you hover on the following link.

Finally, After a long wait and many fake news, here comes the official date of Windows 8 RTM (Release to Manufacturing)

At the Company’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Canada, Microsoft’s Tami Reller has announced that Windows 8 will be Released to Manufacturing (RTM) in the first week on August.

In addition, Microsoft will release the final copies of Windows 8 to retail stores (General Availability) in late October 2012.

Most industry analysts expected Windows 8 would go on sale in the fall to ensure that the machines running on the operating system would be available for the holiday shopping season. According to KnowYourMeme, "Zerg Rush is a popular online gaming term used to describe an overwhelming scale of attack carried out by one player against another in real time strategy (RTS) games. The LinkScanner tool has been improved to watch out for more dynamic code, which is essential in the security game because threats are mutating at such a rapid rate. Meanwhile, premium users get the new AVG Accelerator option, which optimizes your Internet connection to speed up downloads and rendering.

The smart scanning tech also gives you a built-in system resource manager that prioritizes scans. If a scan is scheduled to begin while the computer is in use, it will automatically restrict the scan so that it runs slower but doesn't interfere with the computer's other tasks. When it detects the computer idling, it will then allocate more power to the scan. The feature comes with a slider so you can customize how sensitive it is.

The desktop gadget for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users that lets them initiate scans and updates with one click, without having to open the full interface. It also contains links to AVG's Twitter and Facebook pages, which the company uses to bolster its support for the free version.

The PC Analyzer scans your system for Registry and disk errors. It includes a disk defragmenter and a broken-shortcut cleaner, as well. Although the feature is restricted in full to paid users, if you have the free version, the PC Analyzer comes with a one-time offer to clean all errors it finds. It provides a link to download the separate PC Analyzer tool, once the scan is completed. This is an interesting twist on the idea of letting users detect but not repair errors, and it provides more functionality while not affecting the basic security of your computer. However, it's likely that some users will shy away from the extra download.

Other features are restricted to users of AVG's paid upgrades. New in 2012 to premium users is the new AVG Accelerator option, which optimizes your Internet connection to speed up downloads and rendering. It currently works on two sites: YouTube, and you can see its impact when pausing and unpausing videos; and Download.com binary downloads. The accelerator protocol was developed internally at AVG.

AVG Internet Security 2012 includes all that AVG Anti-Virus 2012 offers, and adds in a firewall and antispam protections.

Conclusion
A word of caution: We've noted before that the average person is paying more and more attention to performance, and there are far more viable operating system options than ever before. If security is more or less similar, people will be scrutinizing system impact greatly, and adding 30 seconds or more to your boot time has the potential to drive people not just from your security suite, but from your OS, too.

All that said, AVG Anti-Virus Free continues to offer an excellent if not perfect level of security, and is well-worth a serious shot at being your go-to suite.

Chit Chat for Facebook : Easy way to Chat

Facebook's chat feature is a great way to have instant contact with your friends, but it's not always practical to stay logged in to the site all day long (ahem, such as while you're at work). Chit Chat for Facebook acts just like Facebook's own chat feature, but it lets you chat without using your Web browser.

The program's user interface is pretty self-explanatory. Once you sign in using your Facebook username and password, all of your friends who are available to chat appear as "online." Double clicking on a specific person introduces another window with a space at the bottom to type your message. Once you hit Enter, your message appears in the top window for your recipient to see. You can see when he or she is responding to your message, which also appears in the top window. A Save Conversation option also appears in the same window, and it successfully let us save our entire conversation as an HTML file in the location of our choosing. We were able to summon it in our browser without any issues. The program's Preferences menu lets you customize the appearance of your chat messages; turn off any offline notifications, such as when a friend appears online and is available to chat; and even set up a proxy connection. Help is available through a link that takes you to an online FAQ, but we didn't need to use it during our testing. Overall, Chit Chat for Facebook worked as promised and let us stay in touch with our Facebook friends without having to sign into the Web site.

Timers are useful for all manner of things, but you may not always have a handy portable timer with you. E.ggTimer is a dead simple web-based count down timer that you'll (almost) never be without.

You use plain English to tell E.ggTimer what window of time you need counted down. The time variable is plugged right into the URL—if you need a 20 minute countdown you use the URL http://e.ggtimer.com/20minutes. You can use combinations of years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds with the same plain style, just by entering the variables in logical order: 01days before 00hours, then 20minutes, etc. The timer starts when you load the URL in your browser and counts down in large block letters in the browser window center, with an animated black and white border that slowly fills in as the time passes. While it might not be a practical count down tool for retirement, it's extremely handy for a quick monitor on your brewing tea, or your next break to stretch and get some fresh air.
