A while back (8/07) I mentioned an incident in which a drunk moron jumped into a bear cage and was eaten. (Un)fortunately that person apparently wasn’t as stupid as I had thought… This woman is far more idiotic. She doesn’t even have the excuse of being drunk:

A polar bear attacked a woman at Berlin Zoo Friday afternoon after she climbed a fence and jumped into its habitat during feeding time, police said Saturday.

One adult polar bit her several times after she plunged into the moat, police said.

Zoo workers tossed rescue rings toward the woman to hoist her out and distract polar bears swimming nearby, said Goerg Gebhard, a Berlin police officer.

“They saved her life,” Gebhard told CNN.

The woman was severely injured and was being treated at a hospital, police said.

It’s unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat, but police issued her a citation for trespassing. – Source

G20 make pledge to restore growth
Thank God for the G20 pledging to restore growth! I mean I felt entirely lost without their decision to restore growth.

But before we get too excited about the reemergence of our economies maybe we should consider this:

Led by Germany’s Peer Steinbruck, they are concerned about all the billions being added to governments’ debt, and have said it would be best to see if the current stimulus schemes start to work before more money is dedicated.

They are some European finance ministers. They make sense. The UK and US financial types think pouring more money on the problem is the solution. They are ID10Ts of the highest magnitude. Period.

You’d think a blog that doesn’t seem to get updated but once every few months on average would be almost spam free. Right?

WRONG – Logged in yesterday (first time in over 2 months and cleared out 8,000 spam posts. Logged in today and already had close to 150. Sad.

Sometimes life gets in the way and a bunch of other projects come up.

There’s work.

More Work
And yet even more work.
Then there are snakes, and pet lizards.

But I feel like enjoying writing again so I’ll probably work at this one some as well.

Sometimes faith is the little things

Yesterday as I was making the commute from the office home I was listening to The Jay Severin Show on WTTK when they started talking about the plane crashing into the Hudson at around 3:45ish in the afternoon. Immediately I said a short little prayer to God that went something like this.

Lord do not let any of these people perish Father. For your own glory save them with your mighty hand.

Now I’m sure there are many who will say they survived this due to a combination of modern engineering, a flawless rescue operation, incredible piloting skills, orderly evacuation, and something akin to dumb luck. I’d say they were all wrong. There is no such thing as “dumb luck” and as for the rest of the reasons; only by the grace of God.

I’ll leave it to you to decide if this was really a miracle of God or not, but as you consider the possibility do in fact consider it. These kind of things don’t happen everyday and this might be the one and only time when God so clearly reveals His work for your consideration.
