It's so important to draw attention to reading, and attract reluctant readers to it, especially boys.

I grew up as a reluctant reader, in spite of the fact that my father published over 70 books. Now I write action-adventures & mysteries, especially for tween boys, that avid boy readers and girls enjoy just as much.

As far as I can see, there are 6 books so far. Rapture of the deep is book 7 and due out very soon.

Book 8 has also been announced: The waking of the Lorelei Lee: Being an account of the adventures of Jacky Faber, on her way to Botany Bay.

This is one of the best junior books I have read this year. Do yourself a favour and read it. If you're a teenager, don't be put off by it being in the junior shelves. It's a great read.

A bunch of girls and a few staff were lucky enough to meet Jane Godwin at Kew library earlier this year. She was a great speaker, talking about writing techniques and the many steps involved in publishing a book.
