Hallelujah Diet Debunked

ABC News’ Nightline did a story on the Hallelujah Diet the other night. So I did some of my own digging.Promoting good health is one thing, deceiving people is something else. Watching the piece, diet creator Rev. George Malkmus claims his diet “cured” his cancer. The reporter makes a point asking him if he had a biopsy on his tumor. Malkmus answers no, naturally the reporter asks how he knew it was cancer.

Just in time for Christmas: House Resolution 847

‘Tis the season for lots of things, among them politicians making sure we understand what the season really “means.”

House Resolution 847 “acknowledges and supports the role played by Christians and Christianity in the founding of the United States and in the formation of western civilization.”

Introduced by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) earlier this month, the resolution passed 372-9.

GodTube: Sick, so sick

Continuing my look into GodTube.com after yesterday’s article in USA Today. A religion site such as GodTube gives anyone with a thought to hide being the mask of religion to get their opinions into the norm.

This video is sick and disgusting. It compares the life of Virginia Tech Professor Liviu Librescu and his sacrifice during the VT massacre to Jesus Christ on the cross. Partial transcript of the video follows:

Muslims take over “meditation room” at a Minnesota public college

I understand the free access laws, but a group such as this meeting on public property SHOULD NOT meet because they openly discriminate.

This is clearly a violation of the separation of church and state laws that govern our society. Sadly, the Christian right will pick up on this and scream about it not being right when in theory they’re doing the same exact thing.

Today’s USA Today:

In the beginning, there was YouTube.com, the viral video supersite.

That concept begat GodTube.com. The Christian video and social networking site — subtitled “Broadcast Him” — launched in August to offer an evangelical environment for videos on the Web.

Now, GodTube founder Chris Wyatt, a 38-year-old former TV producer, is making the Bible itself into a viral video experience.

So what can you find on this site… well it’s the same drum beat. We Christians are being discriminated against.

Growing trend: Parents Use Religion to Avoid School Vaccines for their Children

Not having a particular religion also can be used as a religion. From the Associated Press:

BOSTON (AP) — Sabrina Rahim doesn’t practice any particular faith, but she had no problem signing a letter declaring that because of her deeply held religious beliefs, her 4-year-old son should be exempt from the vaccinations required to enter preschool.

DENVER (KWGN) — A federal lawsuit has been filed on the behalf of the Freedom From Religion Foundation against the Cherry Creek Schools, accusing the district of violating the separation of church and state.
