An additional nine new English screenshots of Tales of Graces f have been posted over at the official Tales of Series Facebook page. They are mostly of the character Hubert Ozwell in battle.

The game is now available for pre-order in GameStop US and Canada. For those outside the US, pre-orders for Tales of Graces F are now available on Play-Asia. They also have a cheaper Asian English language version available

The Tales Channel Gets A Makeover: Welcome To Tales Channel Plus

The Japanese portal site for the Tales of Series, the Tales Channel, just underwent a major revamping. Welcome to the new and highly improved Tales Channel + (Plus).

The new Tales Channel + features a completely new layout, user accounts (via Banafes! accounts) and various other somewhat interactive new features.

One of the main features is now having your own personal Tales Channel + account. Instead of being able to upload avatars though, you are able to have a Tales Partner as a representative (i.e. a Tales character), and it will be the characters' face that will serve as your icon.

Your personal account corresponds with your own level, which you can increase by obtaining Channel Points (CP). You level up whenever you gain 120CP, and as you do so, you can gain access to more Tales Partners. At level 1, the only available partner is Cless Alvein from Tales of Phantasia. Currently, that's the only thing that leveling up will benefit you, but the site does say they'll have prizes and such in the future.

As of right now, the main ways to gain CP is to visit the site daily (1 point per visit, per day); if a friend of yours joins using your personal invite code which you can get here, for which you will gain 100CP; and posting and commenting in the Tales Polls which will being this March, wherein you will gain 10CP for posting and one random comment will receive 100CP.

Other features right now include wallpapers for members, a Viva Tales of +, a raffle for Tales character clocks and much more.

RUMOR: Tales of Innocence R Might Be Coming Stateside?

UPDATE: The screen is most probably from the HK PS Store, which also has the Japanese DLC in English. It was most probably in the HK Store because the one who bought the DLC has the Asian version of the game.

So, the usual warning: THIS IS A RUMOR.

User soras_hold from GameFAQs found something interesting in the US PlayStation Store while using his PS Vita.

He found Ruca's previous life costume in the US PSStore, for some reason. This was apparently bought by his friend, and he saw it through the friend's activity log.

But... if that's the case, then that would mean this is the JP version. Either there's a mistake in the system, or Namdai may have put this up as a placeholder of sorts, which is now leading people to believe that Namdai might have plans to bring this over to the US.

Again, THIS IS A RUMOR. Personally though, this might just be a little misunderstanding.

Buy Some Wafers To Get Some Tales of the World: Dice Adventure Characters

... Well, this is awkward.

You guys may remember this upcoming browser game that Namco Bandai announced awhile back: Tales of the World: Dice Adventure. As the name suggests, this free-to-play browser game is like a hybrid between your standard Tales RPG and a dice-rolling board game. It will let you control and team up with various Tales of Series characters, featuring them in new chibi-fied art.

The game's official site has been updated today with some new information. First off, you actually have your own avatar in the game, similar to the ones used in Tales of the Town and Banafes! Town. As you go through the game board, you may engage other players in a battle using your own set of Tales of Series characters (in chibi form).

So, where would you get more characters? The site tells us of one way, and that is to purchase a box of Tales of the World: Dice Adventure Wafers.

One whole box will come with 20 delicious individually wrapped cocoa cream wafers, each having one character card with a serial number. Said serial number can be used once Dice Adventure is in operation (which will be starting late April of this year) to add more characters to your party. There are a total of 24 different card varieties, but each individual wafer pack will only have 1 card, hence, there may be doubles in there somewhere.

Currently, pre-orders for the wafers are only available in Amazon Japan and Animate. Amazon JP is offering the whole box with 20 wafers for 3,150 Yen (around $40), while Animate is selling the individually packed ones for 157 Yen (around $2). Each shop has an additional 3 cards that are unique only to them (i.e. Amazon JP has three different unique cards available aside from the standard 24. The same goes for Animate). The wafers will be released on May 2, 2012.

Additionally, if you have a Banafes! account, you may pre-register for Dice Adventure and receive some game bonuses: Jude Mathis for your party and a Falcon Jacket for your game board avatar.

Tales of Innocence R Music Player & Rhythm Game Up On iTunes

Namco Bandai Games has just released a Tales of Innocence R Music Player app for the Apple iOS via iTunes.

This free app comes with 8 songs from the game (most probably the OP/ED themes and the BGMs), a rhythm mini-game, character illustrations and their profiles. For the mini-game, it can be linked to Twitter to share your score.

Said app can be used for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

The contest is finally over... and I have to say, everyone gave me a REALLY HARD TIME with this :((. Despite having only 38 entries, there were a lot of really good ones.

And so, I decided to give, in addition to the main winner who will get a copy of Tales of Graces F (US Version), four additional people some form of consolation prizes. The consolation prize is one random Tales of Friends Volume 4 key chain charm. The Tales of Friends Vol. 4 key chains are slated for a Summer 2012 release, so you'll have to wait until then, but so far, Ruca Milda from Tales of Innocence and Elise Lutus from Tales of Xillia have been confirmed to be in this volume.

Anyway, first off, the main winner. There were actually a lot of good entries. Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave Gets 31/40 From Famitsu

Famitsu Magazine scores for Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave are in. The game received scores of 8/7/8/8, bringing it to a total of 31/40. Though an acceptable score for a spin-off title, the game did score a point lower than Tales of VS, which got 32/40 before from Famitsu.

According to comments from the reviewers, finishing up all of the characters' story modes takes around 30 hours, while completing everything would be around 50.

New Tales Figures Prototypes: Milla, True Knight Yuri and Jude & Yuri Nendoroids

Even more Tales of Series figures are coming our way. A bunch of new figure prototypes were revealed today in Japan's Wonder Festival 2012, featuring Jude and Milla from Tales of Xillia and Yuri Lowell and Repede from Tales of Vesperia.

First off, a prototype of the Milla Maxwell (Tales of Xillia) figure that Alter announced so long ago has finally been revealed.

Release is slated this 2012. No specific release date was given.

The second one was a garage kit of Yuri Lowell's True Knight version. I'm not particularly sure if this was even meant to be a prototype. When they say "garage kit", it's usually made by a single individual in very, very limited quantities or just one and is much more expensive. This figure was done by Mirano from "ookami to tori to monodukuri" (Wolf and Bird Manufacturing). Apparently, he's also the same person who sculpted the Yuri by Alter.

Another by the same person was an adult Repede and puppy Repede set. There are no pictures of the adult Repede one yet, though. And I have to say, these are just amazing.

Lastly, here are prototypes of some Nendoroid Petits by Good Smile Company, featuring Yuri Lowell (Tales of Vesperia) and Jude Mathis (Tales of Xillia). The backdrop image behind the prototypes show other characters, so they might also be getting Nendoroid Petits. Specifically, Estelle (Tales of Vesperia), Milla Maxwell (Tales of Xillia), Asbel Lhant and Sophie (Tales of Graces). No release date given yet.

Speaking of figures, Alter's Luke fon Fabre figure (April 2012 release) and Rita Mordio figure (June 2012 release) are still open for pre-orders over at Play-Asia.

GameStop Tales of Graces F Pre-order Bonuses Confirmed For The US, Too

The pre-order bonuses that were previously announced for Canada have also been confirmed to be available for US buyers.

Again, they are nostalgic costumes from Tales of Destiny and Tales of Destiny 2: For Asbel (as Kyle Dunamis), Sophie (as Rutee Kartrea) and Richard (as Judas).

In addition, it will also come with a PS3 custom XMB theme, but I stand corrected. It seems the theme will be different from the ones the Japanese pre-order bonuses offered.

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave: Schwartz's Video & Story Voices

In this week's Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave update, we have a video of boss character Schwartz from Tales of Legendia and info about the game's Story Voices.

Sadly, the video doesn't show her Mystic Arte though.

Now, depending on which route you have (either Serious or Comical), the lines of the characters, or the Story Voices, may change. You can hear them yourselves via the game's official site.

Namco Bandai Forms New Development Company: Namco Bandai Studios Inc.

Namco Bandai just announced the formation of a brand new development company by the name of Namco Bandai Studios Inc..

This basically means that Namdai is separating their development division in the form of this new company. Said company will be in charge of Namdai's current series such as Tekken, Gundam, Soul Calibur, Taiko Drum Master and of course, the Tales of Series. They will also be in charge in the formation of new IPs. The studio is said to consist of over 1000 people, including the previous 80 people from Tales Studio.

Namco Bandai Studios will officially be formed starting April 2 and will be located in Shinagawa and will be headed by Hajime Nakatani.

I felt the need to post this since I remember a lot of people were pretty shaken by the previous misleading reports that Namco Bandai "dissolved" Tales Studio, when in fact, they just absorbed them. This is the result of that.

Even More Tales of Innocence R DLC Costumes Coming This Month

Even more Tales of Innocence R DLC costumes have been revealed today, along with a video of Spada's second Mystic Arte and a special skit featuring Ruca, Spada and Iria introducing the game to the people of Shibuya.

This new set of DLC, called "Aspired Occupations", is supposed to reflect what the characters really want to be. The set features Ruca as a doctor, Iria as a school principal, Spada as a knight, Ange as a nurse (or angel in white), Ricardo as a hunter, Hermana as a nun, QQ as an officer and Kongwai as an assassin.

The set will be out on February 16, 2012 and will be sold at a discounted price for 250 Yen each. After April 3, it will be sold for the regular 300 Yen price.

Namco Bandai Releases A Bunch Of Tales of Series PS3 & PSP Custom Themes

Namco Bandai has released a whole bunch of new Tales of Series PS3 and PSP custom themes and avatars over at the Japanese PlayStation Store.

Themes and avatars that are already available today include those of Tales of Innocence R, Tales of Legendia, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces and Tales of Xillia. Those for Tales of Rebirth will be released February 16, while those for Tales of Symphonia will be out on February 23.

The themes are being sold for 100 Yen each, while the avatars are 300 Yen per pack. You can check Namdai's list here for the full inventory.

Aside from Tales, they also have some themes and avatars of Mobile Suit Gundam, Pacman and Katamari Damacy:

Ahh, February: the month when the ever so romantic Valentine's Day (a.k.a. Singles Awareness Day *shot*) wheels around. It's the time for intimate dates, hearts, chocolate, roses and love!

And so, AC would like to celebrate this momentous occasion with our Tales of a Date Contest! The winner will win a copy of Tales of Graces F (US Version)!

The idea of this contest is originally by Aeneid. Thank you so much to her for letting AC apply it in this contest!

This mechanics are simple:

All you have to do is submit a photo of yourself dining with your favorite Tales of Series character, as if the two of you are on a Valentine's Day date.

By "with a Tales of Series character", please make sure it is from official sources (i.e. official concept art, cutscene screenshots or paused scenes, anime, etc.), and not from fanart or cosplay photos. (EDIT: Dating plushies/figures are OK, too, as long as they're official Tales of Series merchandise).

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave's first commercial is now up online, showing off Jude and Milla from Tales of Xillia's Mystic Arte cut-ins.

The commercial focuses on the Xillia, Graces and Vesperia partners and also reveals Jude and Milla's Mystic Arte/Hi-Ougi cut-ins. The game's opening theme, SHINE by Funkist, is also in the commercial along with some new scenes from the anime opening.

EBGames Canada Offers Tales of Graces F Pre-Order Bonuses

The EBGames Canada website lists some pre-order bonuses for those who will order Tales of Graces F. It looks like the US will be getting the exact same bonuses.

The bonuses that are listed are basically the same pre-order bonuses that the Japanese version had, namely Tales of Destiny and Tales of Destiny 2 costumes for Asbel (as Kyle Dunamis), Sophie (as Rutee Kartrea) and Richard (as Judas). In addition, there will also be Tales of Graces F PS3 themes, presumably the same ones the Japanese version offered.

Though this info isn't up in any other US GameStop/EBGames sites, it's assumed they'll have the info up soon enough... Unless the US is getting something entirely different?

Thanks to retroflow for the heads-up! Retroflow works at a GameStop in New York and so far, they haven't heard news of this, though.

Tales of Innocence R: Past Lives DLC Costumes And 50k Sales In Its First Week

Ruca and party get to dress up as their past selves in this new batch of DLC costumes. Also, Tales of Innocence R sold 50,000+ units in its first week.

UPDATE: A video of Ange's 2nd Mystic Arte is now up.

The costumes feature everyone wearing costumes fashioned after their past lives, with the exception of Kongwai and QQ who do not have past lives, but are wearing costumes of people from the past anyway:

The costumes will be released on February 9, 2012. Like the other DLC costumes, it will be sold for a discounted price of 250 Yen each until March 31st, wherein it'll be sold for the regular 300 Yen price.

In other news, Tales of Innocence R ranked 3rd in this week's Media Create sales rankings, selling a total of 54,853. I believe sales through downloads aren't considered in these rankings, though. It's a pretty good number for a Vita game.

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave's Next Boss Is Duke From Tales of Vesperia

An online voiced skit released to promote Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave reveals that the next boss for the game may be Duke from Tales of Vesperia.

UPDATE (Feb 03, 2012): A leaked magazine scan has officially confirmed Duke, showing his new status art and Mystic Arte cut-in. It's also confirmed that the boss characters are playable, though it has not been confirmed yet whether they will be having their own paths in Story Mode or if they will only be available via the game's Free Mode:

In the skit, we have Asbel Lhant (Tales of Graces) and Milla Maxwell (Tales of Xillia) introducing their "enemies", with Duke being in this skit, which I can only assume to be the same Duke from Tales of Vesperia. Milla mentions that this Duke, despite being an enemy, seems to be an impressive man who seems to hold strong his wishes and does not waste time acting on what he must act on. However, what he's doing seems to be detrimental to the people Asbel wants to protect.

It is further discussed that the Duke in this game wants to use the Eternal Sword to change something in the past. Whatever this past may be, Milla comments that it would be the reason why Duke is acting as such.

Also, fun fact, since I believe it was never mentioned in-game. Duke's last name is Pantarei. It was only mentioned in some of the game's Japanese guides.

Tales of Innocence R, Tempest and Hearts Might Be Part Of One Universe Now

Because everything is more fun when it's more confusing.

Ever since the infamous "Next Re-imagination" message that Tales of Innocence R had when the game was finished, a lot of new rumors and (actually sort of sensible) speculations regarding the possible remakes for Tales of the Tempest and Tales of Hearts have popped up. Here's a chronological collection of all the rumors so far, as well as some new ones that might interest you.

First off, upon the end of Tales of Innocence R, this message comes up, hinting that another remake or "re-imagination" is possibly already in the works:

Within Innocence R is the extra dungeon, "Triverse Gate". Within the dungeon, various artwork featuring Tales of the Tempest and Tales of Hearts were found, possibly hinting that the next remakes will be that of the two games.

Since the name of the extra dungeon in Innocence R is "Triverse Gate", people think it means that there really will be three re-imaginations: Innocence R, plus possibly a Tales of the Tempest R and Tales of Hearts R.

But then, another interesting theory came up. This might contain spoilers for those who have not played Innocence R specifically. Read at your own risk:

Innocence R introduced to us two new characters: QQ and Kongwai. These two characters, for some reason, were both from two different worlds. At first, we thought that them being from different worlds was to ensure that they wouldn't have to change Innocence's story so much. But...

In Innocence R, QQ claims that she came from a world where "humans and beasts were fighting each other."

So, "Triverse Gate". What if this place wasn't just some sort of dungeon, but is actually a "Gate" between worlds? Three worlds, to be exact.

The current main theory about the remakes is that... Namco Bandai possibly plans to make the worlds of Innocence R, Tempest and Hearts into an interconnected Triverse, as connected by the Triverse Gate. QQ then possibly came from the world of Tales of the Tempest, which leaves Kongwai to possibly have come from the world of Tales of Hearts.

So, if ever Tempest R and Hearts R do come into fruition, some people are thinking that if it'll follow the pattern of Innocence R getting two characters, they will also get two new characters. But possibly, it would be QQ plus a new character in Tempest R, and Kongwai plus another in Hearts R.

Again, these are all but theories/rumors.

Tales of Innocence R's Hidden Dungeon Hints A Tales of the Tempest Remake Too

You've all just seen the report on hints of a Tales of Hearts remake in Tales of Innocence R's hidden dungeon. It looks like that won't be all. One more CG was found in the said hidden dungeon, this time hinting at a possible remake for Tales of the Tempest.

UPDATE (January 28, 2011): One more picture found!

Tales of the Tempest was originally released for the Nintendo DS. Though initially considered a mothership title, the poor reception and harsh critiques it received from the fans had its status downgraded to that of just an escort title. If this is true, we may hopefully see its original status restored.

Some are still saying that this may just be a really nice cameo (including myself, to some extent anyway), but if you'll think about it, this info actually coincides with what the Tales of Innocence R Adventure Skit pre-order bonus says, where both Shing and Caius, the main heroes for Tales of Hearts and Tales of the Tempest respectively, yell out that they want an adventure in the PSVita, too.

But as such, this will still be considered a rumor for now. All of this is just pure speculation.

Speaking of speculations. Some people believe that since these images were found in the hidden/extra dungeon called "Triverse Gate", Namco Bandai has 3 games planned to undergo the re-imagination treatment: Innocence R, Hearts R and Tempest R.

You've all probably seen the report on Tales of Innocence R's ending hinting at even more Tales remakes coming soon. A few unexpected CGs from the game's hidden dungeon hints that the next upcoming remake, or rather, "re-imagination", will be that of Tales of Hearts.

UPDATE (January 28, 2011): One more picture found!

According to reports, these images showing The Great Winged Whale and the Somas/Weapons from Tales of Hearts can be found in the game's hidden dungeon.

Though this can just be considered as a normal cameo of sorts, a lot of fans are on edge ever since the "next re-imagination" message from Innocence R's ending.

Tales of Hearts was originally released for the Nintendo DS. Though it never reached US or EU shores, it really was one of the better games in the series. It makes me wonder a bit why Namco Bandai would attempt to remake something that's already good.

Anyway, this is a rumor for now until we can get more information.

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave - New Screenshots & Videos

We have a number of new screenshots and concept artwork for Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave today, as well as a couple of videos featuring Emil and Marta from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave will be out for the PSP in Japan on February 23, 2012. Play-Asia now has pre-orders open for both the regular version and the premium box. The demo is also now available either from the PlayStation Network or the game's official site.

Tales of Innocence R - Special Gameplay Video & School Costumes

The Tales of Innocence R official site has released a special gameplay video featuring arena battles, in-game anime cutscenes and casual gameplay. A new set of school costumes will also be available starting February 2nd.

Here's the special gameplay video. You'll get to see one of the game's in-game animated cutscenes here, the usage of the Sorcerer's Ring, Milla's Mystic Arte and a funny little prank by Hermana:

The next set of DLC costumes features a school theme to be released this February 2, 2012. Just like the Tales and IdolMaster 2 costumes, the costumes will be available for a discounted price at 250 Yen until March 31st. After that, the costumes will be sold for their standard price at 300 Yen. Screenshots have been added.

There will also be a new hair attachment set to be sold starting February 2nd for 100 Yen, where the characters will have strands of their hair standing up.

Also, to those who want the cheaper Asian Version of Tales of Innocence R, it's back up again in Play-Asia, but this time with a January 31st release.
