FAEA invites application for scholarships for the year 2012-13 to pursue undergraduate studies in Arts/Commerce/Science/Medical/Engineering and other Technical and Professional disciplines at any University/institution/College in India.

Number of scholarships: 300 (Approx)

Eligibility Criteria
(i) Students belonging to socially and economically disadvantaged sections, preference will be given to students in BPL/SC/ST category
(ii) Students who have passed Class XII from a recognized board in India
(iii) 1st year under-graduate students.

Financial Support: Tuition fee, maintenance allowance or hostel and mess charges.

What is TET?

In accordance with the provisions of sub – section (1) of section 23 of the Right to Education Act (RTE), 2009, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) had vide it’s Notification dated 23rd August 2010 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that she/he should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE. Accordingly, Government of Andhra Pradesh have issued guidelines for conducting Teacher Eligibility Test in A.P. vide G.Os.

Selection Procedure:
1. Integrated programmes – Provisional selections will be on merit based on marks in Class 12 /QE.
2. B.Pharm – Merit will be drawn by giving (i) 50% weightage to AIEEE 2012 / AIPMT 2012 score, (ii) 50% weightage to academic performance (Class 12 marks).
3. BHMCT – Provisional selections will be on merit based on marks in Class 12 /QE.

How to Apply:
1. Integrated IMBA and Integrated IMCA – Eligible candidates to fill-in the online application form available on Institute website and send printout with enclosures and download the Bank Challan Form (SBI/ICICI) from our website to deposit the application fee for Rs.2,000/- (Rs.1,200/- for SC/ST) (non-refundable) in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” in a SBI / ICICI bank and enter the Challan number and other required details of the payment as issued by the bank within the given time period. Printout the completed form and send with requisite enclosures to the office of Dean, Admission & Academic Coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi – 835215 by IS June 2012.The link for filling the online form will be active from 9 am on 10 May 2012 to 7 pm on 11 June 2012.

3. Integrated MSc, B.Pharm and BHMCT – Download and print the application form available on our Institute website, and send completed form with required enclosures and crossed Demand Draft for Rs.2,000/ (General) and Rs. 1,200/ (SC/ST) candidates (non-refundable) in favour of ‘Birla Institute of Technology’, payable at Ranchi to the office of Dean, Admission & Academic Coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi 835215, by the due date. The last date of receipt of completed application at Mesra is 15 June 2012.

Integrated Common Entrance Test for admission into MBA and MCA courses of all universities in Andhra Pradesh and their Affiliated Colleges (Being conducted on behalf or APSCHE)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to appear at the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET-2012) for admission into MBA and MCA courses (full-time/part-time/evening/distance mode) offered by State Universities in Andhra Pradesh including their affiliated colleges for the academic year 2012-2013 to be conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal in 27 Regional centres (as per GO.Ms.No. 25. dated: 19.03.2004; GO.Ms.No.108 dated 30-7-2005; and GO. Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), a statutory body under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India is entrusted with the responsibility of standardizing and monitoring of training programmes in the field of Rehabilitation and Special Education. Applications are invited for admission to
