Currently ACC is under the light for client file breeches and non-compliance with privacy laws.

I recently received someone else's data with my file that was requested under the Official Information Act ( which ACC did their best to NOT comply with ). The file produced PROVES that my concerns over file security were well founded.

Now ACC are trying to cover up the fact that someone el...

ACC are forever touting that "you have rights" on just about every communication you get from them. But in reality you have NO rights - unless it suits them.

When they abuse your rights and you complain about it - they simply ignore your complaints altogether. This operational policy extends right up to the minister - Nick Smith - who ignores you too when you complain to him. And when you complain to ACC that they are ignoring your complaints or your rights - they simply "dis-ent...

Well in 1998 an ACC case manager stated that ACC had "paid enough for this mans rehabilitation."

My current IRP consists of counseling as to why I wont pay for my own rehabilitation.

My hangup apparently is that I won't pay for my rehabilitation.

Well ACC has stated to my rehabilitation supplier (Stewart Center) that "ACC would not pay for any computer courses."

My hangup apparently is the fact that ACC refuses to pay for nor address the fact that under the 1992 ac...

The department of statistics at Auckland University has started a nifty blog looking at statistics crimes in the media.

Thomas Lumley had this to say on an ACC ad:

"Last week, in Wellington, I saw an ad warning that someone is hurt in a household accident every 48 seconds. Is that a lot? The population of New Zealand is about 4.5 million, and there are about 30 million seconds in a year. Let's round off the accident rate to one every 50 seconds. That gives 600,000 accidents a ye...
