The part I love most about doing this project is seeing how the other person translated the theme. My friend Shannon saw our weekly theme “fun” when she was dressing up her niece. I saw fun as the little figurines that my husband gave me for my birthday.

This is a shot I took trying to come up with an idea for my next set of business cards, I may try to get it with a more pure white background. I’ve also had a few photography opportunities coming my direction that I’m really excited about but will tell you about them once they are more solid. I am currently though making plans for more photo shoots and portrait sessions.

PS. In case you didn’t know this is called a champagne chair, my husband makes them out of champagne cages. We nearly used them for our wedding but didn’t get enough cages in time to make them.

Edible Arrangements came to my work yesterday to hand out samples of their chocolate covered fruit. Yum.

This week’s diptych is windows. On the left is Shannon, I love the light trying to peak through the shades. My shot is on the right, it’s my front window that is often like a painting of the world outside. You can see the full size of my picture here and the framing is the actual window.

It’s hard to feel inspired when it’s always snowing or raining or just gray and cold. All the plant life is dead, just about everywhere you look all you see is muted colors. At first you get excited to take pictures of snow again but it gets old really quick. Here is another day, more rain and traffic as usual.

February is down, lots of snow in my pictures this time. I think I did some interesting stuff.

I’m so glad it’s Friday, I’ve had insomnia off and on all week long. Here is a typewriter I took a shot of at a museum in Lawrence.

Ok, I’m even later on the theme this week, we really need to get a schedule together for this. We both did this last minute but the whole point of this is to make us think about pictures to take and to push ourselves a little extra once a week. This theme was thick and the shot on the left is Shannon, which is molasses. My shot, is the obvious thick book on the right.
