It’s official this was the hardest shoot I have ever done. So many variables, but we still got some fun images. Thanks girls for your patience on this one.

Megan is a swimmer and that is what instigated this whole thing. We couldn’t do your typical senior photos with the suit hanging in the background. Nope not a chance. Instead it was a full production of trial and error, research did not beging to prepare me for the challenges. And Molly was kind enough to tag along and play even though the pool is not her thing. But she was being a good sister and Meg will be sure to pay her back when it’s her turn.

Special thanks to Angelique for trucking all the way to Watertown with me to add some drama with makeup and hair. Who is next? I have a lot more learning to do.

Living in a college town I get to see and photograph a lot of different things. Angela’s Commission Ceremony was one of them. This girl has let me share in a lot of her big moments like her wedding and husbands welcome home. I love this girl and how hard she works and it was a pleasure to step back and watch her hard work pay off. Angela’s ceremony was special because her husband and her parent’s got to pin her and good friend Rob Lee (who’s wedding and welcome home I also shot) rendered her first salute. I hope your enjoying your new station in Ft. Bragg. Come see me some time if you make it back to SD.

2012 SD Pub Crawl

My constant goal to challenge myself and shoot different things ended up being a self-assignment of the pub crawl in Brookings. It pretty much means exactly what it says the college students head from one bar to the next. This year it was on St. Patrick’s Day so that added an extra element. Lots of green and some fun outfits. So here is a little glimpse of what downtown Brookings looks like during pub crawl.

While in Utah I didn’t just photograph the landscape, but also this adorable family. Candace did a wonderful job of decorating the babies room. Including building the bookcase and painting the tree on the wall herself.

In the spare bedroom was a chalkboard wall and it made the perfect backdrop. So I had to play a little with some graphics. I still prefer clean and classic images, but need to play around every now and then.

Time for back to back beauties. M and J came in to spend an entire girls day together with professional hair and makeup and a photo shoot, then went out to dinner with their husbands. It was such a fun time and they did such a wonderful job. Can you believe they went outside in December in South Dakota and got this beautiful light. Yeah me neither, but it happened.
