This very spirit is the driving force behind our daily work at Smashing Magazine, and this spirit is what has prompted us to organize the very first Smashing Conference: a friendly, valuable and inspiring community event that will help us all become better at what we do.

Whether you are a designer, developer, content strategist or business owner, at the Smashing Conference you'll explore insights hands on and gain practical tips and new perspectives on our craft. We are very happy to provide an opportunity for you to share and gain practical knowledge in an intimate, informal atmosphere — right in our beautiful home town of Freiburg, Germany, at the foot of the legendary Black Forest.

Validasi form merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Beberapa alasannya antara lain untuk membatasi data masukan yang diinput oleh user, menjaga standarisasi data masukan, menjamin keamanan aplikasi dan meningkatkan kenyamanan pengguna. Dari sisi letaknya, validasi dapat dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu validasi di sisi server dan validasi di sisi client. Validasi di sisi server biasanya dilakukan setelah form di-submit (dikirim) dan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman sisi server seperti PHP, JSP dan ASP. Sedangkan validasi di sisi client dapat dilakukan sebelum data dari form inputan dikirim ke server. Validasi di client umumnya dilakukan dengan Javascript dan atribut HTML. Pada tutorial jquery kali ini, akan dijelaskan step by step bagaimana melakukan validasi form di sisi client dengan menggunakan library javascript JQuery dan plugin JQuery Validation. Keep Your Analytics Data Safe And Clean

Whoever works with analytics on a day-to-to-day basis knows how important it is to have a continuity with the data. Any slip might be fatal: data can disappear, trends misunderstood and jobs lost. Losing data can have long-lasting consequences, as very often it isn't possible to reprocess the data—so what is lost cannot be recovered.

For this reason, it is essential to have a place where you can test changes to your settings and configurations. It is also important to keep track of changes in a way that they can be used to provide a context for analysts, so that when you are looking at incomprehensible spikes in past data, you can check whether any changes were made to the data collection methods (or if an offline campaign was in place during the period analyzed). Having such a process in place will help to keep data safe from loss and clean from inaccuracies.
