Chair made in the 1800′s

This chair was made during the late 1800′s. We have gently removed the paint and applied a restoration satin finish. What do you suppose is the longevity of chairs purchased today?

Vintage walnut chair

The vintage walnut chair on the right is a representative of what the other 6 chairs looked like. We reglued the frames, hand stripped and refinished them in a satin restoration finish and reupholstered the seats after replacing the foam. Notice what we discovered when the fabric was removed from the back of the unrestored chair!

Elephant Table

This hand carved “elephant” table was crafted in Africa around 1875. It has been handed down for generations, and the current recipient asked us to touch up and reseal it so that the frame does not continue to warp and shrink due to insufficient moisture content.

End Tables From Africa

We’ve seen it all! Nothing surprises us anymore! Each end table was carved out of 1 solid piece of wood from the African forest. They are in our shop for refinishing.

Bright Colored Chairs

Wow! What a fun project! A client from Lakeville wanted to add some excitement to their kitchen center island area. We stripped and painted their boring center island chairs using three vibrant colors. Now the former dull and mundane space has been transformed into a welcome, cheerful and inviting space!

FIRE & WATER RESTORATION

Major insurance firms contact us to pick up furniture that has been damaged by fire or water. Typically we are contacted and are on site just hours after the catastrophe. Here we are at a home in Savage rescuing an exquisite hand carved antique. The base was frozen into the slushy carpet, and had it sat there overnight this item would have been much more difficult and expensive to restore.

Antique Rocker

The leather seat on this antique rocker had deteriorated over time. We are able to replace it with an authentic hand embossed replacement leather seat!
