I used to think that Vince Carter jumping over the 7′2″ French guy in the Olympics was the greatest dunk ever. Well, it has been surpassed. Is this dunk even humanly possible? Apparently so.

After grabbing a rebound, “The Main Event” fired a long pass down to a wide-open Fontenette. After taking a few stutter steps, Fontenette jumped into the air, did two complete 360-degree turns and slammed the ball.

I was stunned. The crowd was speechless. Even the players on the court didn’t know how to react.

“I’ve been planning that dunk for two years,” Fontenette said, unable to wipe the smile off his face. “That was the first time I had ever done it on a 10-foot goal. I’ve done it on a 9-and-a-half before, but never a 10-foot.”

In the wake of perhaps the worst officiated final play in NBA history, I had to get some things off my chest. Here is a quick summary of how I saw things go down in the final seconds:

Dwyane (sp? oh wait, for some stupid reason that is really how you spell his name) Wade leaves his feet in the front-court, catches the ball in the air, and lands fully in the back-court.

Dwyane (sp? My knee hurts. Wait, let me drive to the lane and dunk. Wait, my knee hurts again) Wade proceeds to get triple-teamed. He thinks in his head, “Oh wait, I have been getting Jordan-esque calls all game, why not drive to the lane and yell and throw up some junk layup.” Mission accomplished. Three Mavs hustle and play great defense, yet Wade is the one who gets “rewarded” with the call.

Avery Johnson is trying to tell Josh Howard to take a time-out after the second free throw. Josh is LOOKING DIRECTLY at Avery and motioning with his hands to see if he should take a time-out. Not one word is spoken to a referee. Somehow the refs make the Mavs waste their last time-out, sealing the game for the Heat.

How can anyone really take the NBA seriously anymore? The NBA has become a joke. What has happened in the playoffs is the exact type of thing that will make me and other fans tune-out the NBA next season and for seasons to come. Even if the Mavs somehow win the Title, I have lost all respect for the NBA.

Update: Now with video proof of the back-court violation.

Ever heard of a chick with a 42″ inseam whose day-job is being a pro-wrestler? Well, if you have been watching “Dance With the Stars”, then you know who I am talking about. When I had first seen her, I had now idea who she was, and apparently I have been missing the boat on this one. Just this coming month she will be in Stuff Magazine.

So here we go, I give you this week’s Babe of the Week, Stacy Keibler. And as a special bonus, I am including a couple videos. As usual, I would like to know which one you like the best. I am gonna have to go with #1, for sure.

Again, please feel free to any pics you feel might qualify. Also, don’t forget about the Babe of the Week RSS feed. Now onto today’s Babe of the Week. Enjoy.

I wish I could find some video of it, but I am assuming most of you by now have seen Polamalu's interception on Sunday against the Colts that was somehow overturned by the officials. The more I see that play, the more it really makes me think that it could be the worst call by an official that I have ever seen. Even worse than the infamous "Tuck Rule."

I think what took them so long watching the replay is that the official was making up a new rule right there on the spot and wanted to make sure he had his facts straight. If you haven't seen it, check out SportsCenter. And let me know what you think...because I just don't see how it was overturned.

Well, it is official, Vince Young will be entering the 2006 NFL Draft. I just listened to the press conference, and while I agree it is probably the best decision for him, it is still sad to finally hear it. It looks like now we will turning over the reigns to either Colt McCoy or Jevan Snead. It will interesting to see where we are ranked now going into next season.

The Houston Chronicle is reporting that Vince Young has scheduled a press conference for 3pm today and will announce he is headed for the NFL. Young will reportedly sign with Steve McNair’s agent Bus Cook.

Obviously disappointing news for Longhorn fans but probably the best decision for Vince. His stock is about as high as anyone’s could get right now and he’s probably got a chance for some endorsements coming off his legendary Rose Bowl performance. Also, the hometown Houston Texans are drafting number one overall and his mentor McNair’s Tennessee Titans are sitting at number three. I think things are setting up for him to head to the Titans and spend a year or two learning under McNair (who is unsigned but looks close to completing a deal) while he finishes up his career.

Even though there weren't many games it was still a great football weekend. I was at the Big 12 Championship to watch the Longhorns demolish (understatement) the Colorado Buffaloes. Texas scored 70 points with 7 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter! USC also took care of business roughing up UCLA pretty bad.

So this makes for the national championship game everyone wanted, the two best teams in the nation going head-to-head in the Rose Bowl. Luckily I got a ticket to the Rose Bowl and will watching the Longhorns roll-up USC. Should be fun. See you in Pasadena!

I am going to start trying to post my plays here more often and hopefully get some opinions from everyone out there. Tonight I am going with two games in college basketball that caught my eye.

George Mason (-3) at Georgia St - George Mason is returning all 5 starters for this year’s squad and they have been playing some good basketball so far. They held up well at Wake Forest, only losing by 5 points. It seems they are playing better on the road. If you like this, better jump on it quick because the line is moving.

Stanford at Montana (+7) - This one is a little scary, but I think Montana will keep this game close at home. They might not necessarily win the game, but they should cover the 7 here. This line also seems to be moving, so jump on it quick.

Talk about a scare with that Texas game against Texas A&M. But the amazing part about the whole thing is that even though Texas probably played their worst game possible, they still scored 40 points on the road. The Ohio State/Michigan game was also amazing, and somehow Ohio State came back to give me the miracle cover. Thankfully Michigan has no defense.

All of this Notre Dame and BCS talk is making me sick and I went on a little rant over at Sports Four. I really don't see any logical arguement for why Notre Dame should go ahead of both Oregon and Ohio State, other than money/ratings.

Hopefully Texas and USC will take care of business this weekend so we can have a Rose Bowl for the ages. Although I wouldn't mind seeing USC lose, that way Rose Bowl tickets would be a lot cheaper.
